    Howdy,

That's going to depend on what type of website you intend setting up. If it's a serious e-commerce site then you might need to look at dedicated or semi-dedicated hosting.

But chances are you need something more like a shared hosting account because you're just starting off?

If so then Hostgator is where I'd be pointing you.

It's all down to your website hosting requirements but Hostgator can cover pretty much anything you need

MAN DO I HATE HOSTGATOR. They were a nightmare. Shared hosting in general is a nightmare. Upgrade as fast as humanly possible. Other people hosting on your server can slow down your load times. Slow loading means some people click back while they're waiting for your website to load. This means less money.

If you have to go with a shared account, I'd recommend asmallorgange. I have a shared hosting account there to host things when people figure out I have an internet job and ask me to host something for them, and its decent.

If you're looking for something more serious I recommend wiredtree or liquidweb. Webhostingtalk.com always has some great deals, you just have to look for them.

      Good luck

I have four accounts on four different racks, one of them is on hostgator, they are ok, you can call them on the phone, that one thing is something you cannot do with a lot of the others out there, that makes a huge difference. If you have the money to spend on a dedicated server, go for it, but just in case you did not win the lottery or your not independently wealthy, for people just starting out, it is hard to best hostgator.

    GoDaddy, HANDS DOWN.

They got 4GH Cloud Based Hosting. Can handle massive amounts of traffic and dispense the load quite easy. Plus it starts at just $1.99 a month.

    Can't beat that...

I've only used DotEasy and GoDaddy. GoDaddy is the easiest and cheapest so far, but both have excellent customer service. I've called customer support twice for each and every time the service agent was helpful, patient and the person even had a personality!

I would recommend GoDaddy. I can supply my affiliate link if you'd like.

I have switched to Hostgator and I have been with Hostgator for years now and whenever I encounter any problems their customer service is what sets them apart from other web hosting services out there. They simply go beyond the distance to help you and make you feel comfortable.

The best thing about Hostgator web hosting is that you can save substantial money on your web hosting bill when you use their Hostgator coupons. Save money on your web hosting easy.

I've used HG for a variety of projects ranging from shared hosting to VPS'. Each time I've had nothing but good experiences. Once I've had to get pretty upset at their support to get help, but within minutes someone that was competent about the issue helped me out.

      I'd recommend HG as well.

I would recommend hosting your website at hostgator. They are currently the biggest hosting company in the world hosting over 5,000,000 domains. They also have 99.9% uptime, so don't expect any downtime. They are truly professional and offer support.

Anyways, my main point, host with Host Gator for reliable hosting. They may not be the cheapest, or even close to cheap, but they are definitely reliable and professional.

I know there's a lot of godaddy haters but I love them.. Cheap and effective.. especially if your new. wordpress installation is super easy and they give you a great deal if you register your domain name at the same time although some people say that gives them too much power but it's been fine for me

    Another vote for hostgator.

    Supergreenhosting, webhostingpad are also good.

Generally for shared webhosting, no downtime + cpanel + good customer support are enough.

If you need more cpu power or memory, go for cloud based server. They are cheaper than dedicated server.

I have both Hostgator and GoDaddy and prefer Hostgator because GoDaddy's back office is proprietary and as such different. While different is not bad it just meant one more thing I had to muddle thru. For someone experienced not a problem, for a newbie it was another learning experience that doesn't translate outside GoDaddy.

I used to be against HostGator a few years back, but recently, I needed a cheap host for a small site, so I decided to try them out anyway. And surprisingly, they are much much better.

Customer support is fast. Needed a few config changes when I got the Hatchling package, and they got it done within a few hours.

My votes with RackSpace & MediaTemple for high volume/resource sites & HostGator for small blogs/salesletters/squeeze pages.

I have researched the internet on the best web hosting service out there and check it they live up to expectations. Of all the research and studies that I have done, I have found that Hostgator provides the best value for ones web hosting needs.

The best thing about Hostgator is that they have coupons that can save you a lot of money. Simply use the Hostgator coupon provided below to save you money. That is how simply it is to save money on your web hosting.

hi , i just change from hostgator to ULTIMATE MARKETING CENTER ,why '? because ther the support it's really the top and because they offer : UNLIMITED AUTORESPONDERS ( till 15.000 peoples on your list !) AD traker , Menbership site ( yours...! ) , Affiliate site ( yours ..) and so much more , i think if you are doing internet marketing you need all this service and you have to buy them separate spending much more money and running from one to the other login ...there everything is on one place , but you can see by yourself because it's a bit too long to explain here. By the way i personally experience quite a few problems with hostgator...good luck

I have 5 or 6 hosts. I recommend Bluehost as first choice - because they offer unlimited xxxxxx, plus they give you a free domain name registration, then renew it for you every year. Cool. Also, they have one hosting plan: the good one. Not the several basic hosting choices of HG. (Confusational :-| )

I have several HG accounts: plus several BH. Plus others. Start with BH. Also if you want to install Wordpress, BH has Simple Scripts which is easier than Fantasticao for WP install.

Their customer service - I'd say similar to HG.
