Mage Monster by Greg Jacobs

I just purchased the new Mage Monster by Greg Jacobs and so far this beast looks amazing. If your a past fan of WP Mage this is something that I believe people are going to love. Theres so much new here, it's hard to get a grip on all the possibilities. Some of the new additions this time around I discovered include:

Monster Mage Desktop Control Center
Group Mage (Groupon)
Opt-In Mage
Face Book Mage
Article Mage Network
Advanced Monster Training
New Webinars
Special Monster Forum Access
Plus: updated versions of all the original WP Mage Plugins

In my opinion this is really out of the box thinking and I know from my past experience with WP Mage, Greg and his team have been great with support and current updates. Carol at the help desk has alway been helpful and fast to respond.

I just downloaded the desktop application and getting ready to rock n roll. This is diffently the product of the year so far for me...in my opinion.

Looking forward to hearing everyones reviews and opinions here as well.

PS: It's not the cheapest product out there but then again there are no upsells or monthly membership payments. Plus...I've seen many other products out there double the price with much much less value and earning potential.

What is the price of this Monster?

    What does it do?

    Is it something like WP-ROBOT?

WP Mage was a grossly overpriced spam site creator....the sites delivered no strong visitor value... not sure if Monster improves on visitor experience..

Hi, thanks for your comment. Mage is designed to earn money for the person using it. That is my primary concern in its design aspect.. Ie.. easiest way for you to earn. And in that regards it works

As for "strong visitor value" well it completely depends how you use it. It is simply a toolkit and goes as far as the users ultimate goal.. (meaning do you want to earn as much money as you can or do you want to curate and make excellent content... ) Well if you want to provide "strong visitor value" then go write a blog you can put up a post a day and get a following etc...

I can tell you that except in a conceptual world, if your goal is to make money to support your family that you need to focus on the direct goal of making money rather than the "side goal" of "visitor value" However if you want a system that just makes you money, then the discussion becomes irrelevant as that is what Mage does.

However that being all said, Mage is just a tool in your hand and can be used however you please.... (including "strong visitor value" if that is your goal)

You can use Mage to put up thousands of posts with nothing but affiliate feeds, designed to simply "grab the click" from the search engine and then the vistor clicks thorugh, getting you the commission and hence
taking you on the direct path to money. These posts may be "low value" but they work and make you money, so it just depends what you want. .....

If you wanted to change it up a little you can use Mage to grab article and then it runs them though a translator or interfaces with TBS. You can also use Mage Monster to install and manage thousands of blogs though a single dashboard as well.

As for the difference between WPMAGE and Mage Monster there as many as mentioned by Sparky. the primary is the Monster Dashboard. Which is a cross-platform desktop deployment and management engine for Mage sites and your blogs. If you are using Monster to "make money" then you are going to over time scale to alot of site and Monster makes managing them quite easy.

There are other aspects in the suite including FBMage, GroupMage, Article Mage Network, Domain Mage.. it is huge and to define Mage Monster by a single aspect of "what it is" would be difficult.

Nevertheless each has their own opinion and I encourage you to see for yourself as opinions and preferences aside, noone can deny the sheer enormity, completeness and attention to detail of the Mage Monster system for what it is designed to do

Are you sure Google still allows these kind of sites in their listing??

Is it fair to say that it may work now but as time goes by Google will catch up with these sites and knock them dead?

Sorry, back in 2009 when I first released WPMAGE that is what people were saying too. .. ie// "google just did a update and this wont work anymore"

now its 2011 and still working and yes "google just did an update..."

fact is that googles propaganda machine and what google does are two very different things. Proof is in the earnings.. nothing less, nothing more.

In addition we update at least twice monthly. If something "did" happen, then we just change out some things and get it working again.

This is my primary source of income and I am not going to let the whims of some computer stop me from providing for my family.

          Hey there wrays!

I've ben using WPMage for 2 years now and yep, I can assure you that Google STILL loves these sites!

Greg has a unique approach to affiliate marketing and it definitely does work. When I first started with Mage, I was seriously struggling to make any money online. Now, I'm comfortably in 5-figures monthly and it continues to increase every month. Mage works - plain and simple!

Short answer no. Long answer....no because most people earn far more from other sources than amazon. and if you do happen to earn real money from amazon, then BELIEVE me there are ways to continue being an affiliate and many do... (though for sake of keeping this thread focused... please open a new thread if you want to discuss them)

We even wrote an Affiliate Nexus PDF discussing some of the possible methods which we are giving to Members.

        Hi Greg,

Just wondering if Mage Monster will support installation on subdomains...or just on top level domains only?

Also, are keyword rich domains a necessary component to ensure revenue generating sites?

        Thanks!

          Greg,

Are the sites stand alone once they are generated? Meaning should we choose to, could we generate the sites and then flip them without having any additional transfer fees or licensing issues?

          Thanks!

Since we used to be neighbors (I used to live in Alabaster) and I own WPMage, I thought I'd answer your question.

            Mage is *NOT* for flippers.

You are not allowed to ever sell or transfer any website generated by WPMage in any shape, form or fashion...nor may you ever sell or transfer your WPMage license in any shape, form or fashion.

In other words, WPMage and the websites you make with it are yours for life.

Also, according to Greg Jacob's answers in the forums on this subject, I don't think your spouse can even inherit your WPMage license, or the websites you made with it, if you die -- I think your license and websites die when you do, LOL!

(Note: I never saw anyone actually ask about willing their Mage so I'm sort of jesting...but Greg Jacobs is adamant when stating you can't sell or transfer your license/websites in *ANY* manner whatsoever).

I'm guessing Monster Mage is the same because it uses the same plugins as WPMage (I think it has one or two new plugins maybe).

If the licensing has changed I'm sure Greg will post and correct me.

Yup, no flipping. I have a tirade of reasons why.. based on practical matters.... but ask me another time why.

we dont care if you give your sites to your wife through. We are pretty flexible as long as it is not a transaction (or you try to be tricky by pretending its not a transaction)

It does seem to be the same product, as the email I got was from Greg Jacobs. However, I haven't looked over the offer yet, and the free part might not include the full version of the software. But as someone said it was Mac compatible, I'll be looking it over.

Ok Some clarifications for people that asked

WPMage, Cpmage, Master Mage - are the previous thing and still working and valid. This is the core of the system.

Affiliate Mage Monster - Is what I am giving away free this Week

Mage Monster (suite) - Is what is being released on July 12th. I have already did a minor release to existing customers, hence there are a handful of people using it. Mage Monster will be high ticket and we are going to limit it to 500 licenses for new customers. So I think we will probably open and shut on July 12th due to past indications of demand.

The main aspect of Mage Monster is it is actually a desktop software (WPMAGE was only server based) that is cross platform.. so linux, windows and yes.. mac.

Monster makes management and creation of Mage sites more efficient. There are also numerous other addons like the Article Mage network, FBMage etc... that are included in the Monster Suite.

Hope that clarifies it a little for some of you.

I have been a Mager for over a year now and i have thoroughly enjoyed it and i have made money from it. With that said, i did buy monster mage because it would make alot of the work i was doing much easier, like updating plugins from one central location, building sites from one central location, etc.,

BUT, I will admit that the early going with Monster mage for me has NOT been smooth. I (as well as some other people that have joined) have had some issues with the software crashing and it's been going on for the few days that i have had it. I have been working with the support team for a few days to try to get it to work and as of yet i am still in limbo. I'm thinking that it will get sorted out as the support has been good so far.

So if i can get it to work properly, i am thinking it will be a time saver for me.

Also, as to the poster that mentioned about the spam blogs, the Mage system is just a tool that you could use in your arsenal. Greg says that you can use it as a pure money maker with just affiliate feeds and products and nothing else. You don't have to use it that way.

If you wanted to put up an authority blog and fill up the backend with affiliate products to monetize the traffic using Mage, you can certainly do that. It's very versatile and it's up to the user as to how you want to use it.

It sure helps me make money. In fact its the only thing I make money with.

I have classic IM syndrome - lazy, short attention span, shiny object, can't be bothered, not consistent - so mage to the rescue.

I've been using wpmage on and off for the last ~18 months, and while I do it sporadically, it produce consistently. In the high 4 figures every month. While I chase the next shiny object or tinker with something else.

I've jumped on monster mage and its already growling away on my laptop. Sigh, while I'm checking out the next wso

              Maybe I'll never learn.

I wonder if Greg can make this a monthly subscription so that those who don't want to fork out $1497 can try it out first on monthly basis. Test out the Monster for a few months and then decide whether to continue or not after testing... just a suggestion

Yes...You get everything with Monster! Personally I'm glad it's not a monthly membership.... I hate monthly payments hanging over my head. Also(probably one reason for no monthly payments)Greg and his team only let so many people into the program at any given time inorder to provide the best service for his customers.

I have a few questions regarding Mage Monster.

            1. How quickly (number of months) could a site begin to average $125+ a month?

To earn 10K+ a month I will need to create 80+ websites that average $125+ a month.

            2. Let's assume my total annual expense for Mage Monster is $2897 [$1497 (for software) + $800 (for registration of 80 domains) + $600 (for web hosting of $50 a month)].

            a. Are there additional expenses I should include?

            b. How long (total time frame... for example, 3 months... and average weekly hours spent on Mage Monster) would it take on average for a properly trained Mage Monster user to generate at least $3000 in revenue?

            3. How much bandwidth on average does a site use?

            4. Is it possible for these 80+ sites to be supported by a level 3, 4, or 5 VPS from Hostgator? How many sites do you recommend to host per VPS?

            5. On average, how many minutes or hours could one expect to spend to create a fully optimized website?

            6. Does Mage Monster conduct on-page and off-page SEO? If not, how is traffic generated for these sites?

            7. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using Mage Monster to produce 80 sites that each average $125 a month versus 20 niche sites (created manually, optimized via SEO, and monetized with Google AdSense, ClickBank and Amazon products, and CPA offers) that each average $500 a month?

            8. Do you consider Mage Monster a different revenue stream relative to niche authority blogs?

That's really a tough question to answer. Some sites will do better than others. If you use Greg's system precisely, you'll be using expired domains and some of them can do that much the first month. I've got one site that has been consistently over $1k a month since I built it a year and a half ago. I've got some that do $10-20 a few months, than do $300-400 the next month. Others will flop.

On the flip side, some of us use all new domains (in particular the cheap .infos). I like to do this because you can build fast and get plenty of keyword rich domains. Of course, these sites don't typically do $100 a month (so do), so you would be looking at making a lot more than 80 sites, but once you get the hang of it - it takes 10-15 minutes to build a site!

Domains, hosting, Monster! There ya go.

Some of us do like to use PhpBay (less than $100) in addition, but it's totally not required.

Once you know how to build a site, it shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to build one. I've done as many as 100 in a day.

Other time that you might spend would be looking for expired domains (if you go that route), some like to check their stats occasionally, and you may want to just check your sites once a month or so to make sure everything is loading properly.

I admit though, I have sites that i haven't looked at or logged into since they were created - sometimes months ago.

All depends on how you build and how much traffic you get.

I personally wouldn't recommend HG - I much prefer Servint. 80 sites would probably do fine on their $49 a month one.

Once the (small) learning curve has been overcome, 15 minutes. An hour or two if you like to tweak and do things like custom logos.

Typically, all traffic is search engine traffic. While you certainly "could" do backlinking and other off-page SEO things, most of us Mages don't. We prefer to be building more sites.

TIME! Think about how much time those 20 sites are going to take you to create manually, backlink, check rankings daily, etc.

In the amount of time you spend on 20 authority sites, you can build 10-fold that with Mage.

Monster typically "out of the box" does create a different type of site than you would consider an authority blog. Keep in mind though, that Mage is a tool. If you choose to use it as such, Monster can be a very powerful tool in your arsenal for authority blogs too. Once you dig in and really learn the Mage system, it's not unusual to start thinking of all sorts of ways that Mage can be used creatively.

              Hope this helps.

      Greg,

I am really interested in this product, but I have to tell you, having no idea of the price is really a huge drawback. I know that it hasn't been officially released yet, but I only have a certain amount of funds available for these sorts of things - if I go over that budget, it means bills don't get paid and that's not gonna work. However, if I have some advance notice of what the cost will be, I can start thinking ahead of how to get some cash together. If you truly do limit the licenses it would be very helpful to know in advance what the actual cost will be.

I realize this was a long-winded request, but if you can answer it, it would be extremely helpful.

Hey Jacob, Thanks for the great information I would really love to join the program but the $1495 is hard to come up with at this time due to being unemployed. If you have any interest in starting a membership site I am sure long term it would have its benefits. I mean 500 X 47.00 = $23,500 dollars a month and if people use the site and make money They will never leave you. Also I just had a question about these sites would they be good for promoting adsence revenue. Thanks again for the great info.

      Kind Regards

Ironically I make most of my mage income through adsense

I am a long-time mage user and I obviously bought monster mage as well because it had a few features that I really wanted.

As far as the price...it's better that it is expensive that way not every Tom, Dick and Harry buy this and destroy it's usefulness.

If you can't afford it...don't get it. This is a real business tool for real businesses. If you are just trying to make a million bucks overnight you should probably stay away

      depends how you build them.

If you follow certain methods, then you can expect a stronger inital blast of earnings, but then you can expect get a small % deindexed. we talk about this in the training if following certain methods.

however If you follow more conservative approaches, which we also talk about, then no they will be fine and stay indexed.

Just depends on how you use the tools at hand.

    Hello,
When uploading the Affiliate Mage Monster to WordPress site and following the instructions in the PDF, it states to upload the zipped file. I uploaded a unzipped file to my computer, so do I know have to upload all the files in there or just certain ones or should I download it again and then upload the zipped file with all the contents in it to WordPress?

    Thanks

But will this make me a million dollars overnight with just 1 click of a mouse button?

I honestly don't know how you're gonna compete with all the 1-click-and-make-a-million-dollars-over-night-programs/software epecially when they're all selling for £37 a pop

Joking aside this does look very good and I may invest. There is a one good point to the price point being this high and that is, this software won't be used by every Tom, Dick and Harry out there

    Monster Mage sounds great and I have downloaded the free version, altho due to a few minor crises I haven't been able to implement or test it yet... Was thinking I'd wait for the official launch and buying the full version, but if it's gonna cost $1495 there's no way I can afford that now... my budget won't allow it... Bummer... ={

Oh well... such is life... I hope that those that do use it have success tho... sounds like a great program... just too pricey for me...

The concept of the program sounds really nice, but might issue is the overall cost. Everyone is not going to be able to up this kind of money to make a purchase. I would only recommend someone investing if they have a solid economic foundation or a proven strategy that will make this cost work for them.

$1495? Wow. Not sure I see the Price-To-Value ratio at that level. Can do most of this with free or low cost tools. I see that Tim Godfrey/Steve Clayton may have a bonus offer tied into it. Will have to see if that makes up for the crazy price levels Greg has this pegged at.

All that being said, it's a nice program for down around $495, IMO.

FYI, those of us that did purchase the Mage Monster are still waiting for it to actually function without constantly crashing on both Mac and Windows. Not sure it's ready to be released. It seems to be a decent product and I'm sure it will help those of us who use Mage but I've had it over a week and it's still problematic to the point of not really even working as expected.

Hi, our support desk is actively working with the 3% of users who are having issues. If that is you, then please work with them as they have already solved it for the majority of people.

We found a minor conflict with other installed programs and/or firewalls that we have been able to fix for most already and a new release with these fixes is coming out today.

here is the link to our support desk

Hi Greg, I was hoping you can clarify something for me. I've watched all the videos on Monster Mage. While on the one hand, you say it is a tool kit. Where users can use the tools any way they like. On the other hand, you say it is a business plan. Which makes me think it's an exact system for a profitable business. Which is it? or is it a combination of both? The explanations in the videos seem self-serving, and I hope that is not the case.
    Thanks!

      Haha, great question.

We talk about this alot actually. I guess the simple explanation is for the newbie user who just wants to "get started" and has no basis or expectations, then it is a business plan. Ie. we give you recommended steps to take on how to use the "tools"

However for the more advancaed user who knows what they want to do and more importantly "Why" they are doing it, then it is a toolkit because by that point you are going to not even bother to follow our "roadmap" because you will already understand what the tools do and how to use them

      hope that makes sense.

1 - TBS (the best spinner) is integrated and can be used for spinning. You need your own license of TBS to use it. We can provide you with a special link to get this if you dont have it already. If you dont want to use TBS, we have other spinning options as well which will work fine.

      2 - 30 day Unconditional.

Actually, it would be very unusual if Greg didn't stick to his words. He did the same thing when WP Mage was released and he only kept it open for awhile until all spots were filled. It did open for a short period again sometime after but only after Greg felt that his current customers were receiving the help and support they needed.

maybe.....problem is how do you know that when he does close the door he really did stop at 500 and not at 1500? you don't unless he showed you proof and i very much doubt he will. again it comes back to this, if the so called GURU's that are all promoting this heavily and drive all that targeted ready to buy traffic, would you stop at 500 when there is another say 2000 ready to buy?

        didnt think so........

He's not stopping the sale at 500. He is scheduled to do like 3 webinars... Way past the release time. Doesnt take a genius in math to figure it all out. 500 copies will sell like hot cakes considering the buzz and many people have webinars scheduled that night. If I'm wrong about the webinars and they are pre recorded or whatever, why would these gurus still have them scheduled considering they will sell out fast. Are the webinars gonna be about what you COULD have owned? haha

500 copies is part of the hype and I dont care what anybody says. Expect an email that says "based on crying customers, greg has decided to open up the program but only for the next 100 customers. He cant keep this product open for long!"

Anytime you want to make a big purchase its good to sleep it over for a night. If I wake up and its not available, oh well.

Good luck Greg. Sounds like a winner.

BTW the guys from rank builder is offering lifetime access to their rank builder service. That seems like the best value so look them up join their list or whatever.

And also, the creator of the best spinner is also offering lifetime access to the best spinner and article wizard!

    Hi Greg,

I already own WPmage, but rarely use it unfortunately.

We just haven't got fully into our stride yet...

Anyway, we have been looking at where our priorities lie and have given more thought to dusting down wpmage again. Now though, we see Monster Mage is about to get released.

We aren't sure how this differs from wpmage, if at all or if we should bite the bullet and go for the Monster.

Are there any discounts available for existing wpmage owners?

(Just regarding wpmage, we haven't used it for over a year. Is it still valid? What would you suggest we do to get back to using it, assuming it is still worthwhile).

    Please let me know. Thanks,

    Hi.

I decided to jump in and give Mage Monster a serious try - so I have bought it today and have been spending some time going through the materials about the different modules and have also tried to setup my first site.

I wanted to post a quick review here but due to lack of success with installing my first site, my initial review will have to wait a bit!

The Desktop Application (Mage Monster) that is supposed to install your site(s) simply keeps crashing during the process were it installs the site on my hosting account. I have reported the problem to Support and I really hope they will be on it asap.

I'll keep you guys updated on my progress.

        Here's a question for existing Mage'rs:

Have you found that by following the MM guidance on expired domains you're able to skip the whole chore of backlinking - or are you still doing your own backlinking just the same.

I'm drawn to MM's ease of throwing up a slew of niche sites - setting and forgetting. But that's just it, I'd want to "forget" them and not have to worry about all the typical backlinking chores.

Any MM users finding success w/o all the backlinking (and by success in this fashion I'm talking sites that can generate in the neighborhood of $50 - $100/mth)

        Thanks

I grab one because the bonus offering I was getting. In fact the bonus cost the same as the monster mage. So I got 2 products in one shot.

    Hi Greg (and everyone else).

My initial review of Mage Monster can be summed up in just a few words: Don't buy it - yet!

I have learned a thing or two from my 10 years as a software developer and unfortunately I must say that the Mage Monster application currently has serious problems/bugs.

The application and the training materials look promising but the main program (Mage Monster) simply doesn't work well enough.

I have installed Mage Monster on 3 different computers:
    • A PC with Windows 7 Pro - with all windows updates installed.
    • A laptop with Windows Vista - with all windows updates installed.
    • A Windows 2008 R2 VPS server - with all windows updates installed.
In total I have tried to create my first site about 30 times across the 3 installations and on all but 1 attempt Mage Monster crashed before the site building process was complete.
And on the 1 successful site build completion no content had been added to the posts on my new blog!

All in all not a good start for Mage Monster.

I also think it is somewhat questinable to release the program to the public yesterday, when the issue with program crashes was well known since last week!

I only hope that these issue will be fixed ASAP so I can continue using the program and do a more thourough review.

Greg, how about a general increase of the refund period to 60 days to make up for the bug problems?

    Regards
    Don

I totally agree with Don's comment and would add that I bought Mage yesterday and having had 24 hours to look at what Mage can do, I've requested a refund. It may be okay for some people but personally, I don't think it's worth anywhere near the $1,500 price tag.

      Very disappointed.

We have a build with our testers that should fix the crash issue for the remaining users that are experiencing it. It will be released today if it passes through them . if you want to be an "beta tester" contact our support desk. If not, then it will be pushed to you regardless shortly. (hopefully before lunchtime today)

The reality of software development espeically for desktops is that nothing is ever perfect. look at MS windows for example. We tested it for months and thought it was fine.. we released it to our members and it was mostly fine with this latest bug creeping up in the last few days We have been working around the clock to fix.

and if people say "well ..why didnt you test"
well.. the reality is that we do test... and test like crazy with as many people as we can... but the reality is that there are so many different variables in computer configs that always when released to a mass amount of people. *something* happens.. especially on the first day.

So for that have Monster and it crashed (it is actually a small % .. but those tend to be most vocal because they are obviously frustrated and understandingly so as people have a right to a software that doesnt crash on their computer) then bear with us for a day. We are on it. It may actually be fixed and updated before lunchtime today if this latest build passes our testing. (anybody having crash issues and submitted a support ticket will be offered an extension, we want you happy! )

For those that havent got on Monster and are thinking about it, you have two choices..

1 -you can wait... and then monster is closed and you can't buy it anymore. problem solved
2 - you can get on Monster now and know that *most likely* the issue will not effect you and if it does then we will have it fixed VERY shortly, so it will be solved regardless.

Hope that conveys where we are at in a good way and just know that I know this works fantastic and just a little teething issues that occur when something that worked fine on a small scale, suddenly in one day is on a LARGE scale

      Thanks for your understanding
      -Greg

I was in the middle of building more sites (50 to 100) and when I hit the calculator total button, I would spend at least $1500+ for the quality content and initial promotion, excluding the graphics and the pain of setting them all up.

If I have a tool that could generate those contents with minimal site maintenance (I normally rewrite the first few front page articles rather than relying on tools), the I would go for it.

So that's partly the reason I opted to jump in.

Why not just buy WP-robot for $67 and some WP-theme membership?

If you want real quality content just buy some off of writers here.

I said that's part of the reason, not the main reason. The seller initially throwin as a bonus his BlackBluePrint (cost $1500) and 3 months free access to Domains on Fire + 3 months backlink promo.

With the above, I don't even need the mage to even out. I supposed to buy his black edition in January but they closed down before I got the funds.

Also, I paid off quite a few writers here and average $8 per article.

I bought MM and while I can't give a full review after a day or two, I can offer some thoughts on the product.

The learning curve, while not steep, is significant. It's true that a first-time user can build a site in about 5 minutes. It's doubtful that such a site would be successful. I spent about 12 hours yesterday just reading. I'm not done. There are 20 PDF files to read (and video, if that's your thing) and a huge user forum. The information in the forum is both deep and essential, in my opinion. There's a lot to know before you put this software to work if you want effective results.

The desktop software has been known to crash. I suspect they'll resolve that shortly. The desktop software offers a nice GUI to build and control sites that use three WP plugins that build the sites. It offers a way to administer all of your sites from one location. You can have sites at 50 different hosting companies and control everything from the desktop app. You could, if you wanted, simply build a WP site manually, install the plugins, and build a site that's identical to one you could build using the desktop app, so while getting the bugs out of the desktop app would be nice, the crash issue is not necessarily a dealbreaker if you want to build a bunch of Websites. Like I said, I imagine they'll iron that crashing problem out shortly.

Building Mage sites is hosting-intensive. The sites are big and they can easily chew up resources on a shared server to the point where your host may shut you down. That said, Greg offers a Mage-optimized hosting plan that's reasonably priced. If you're going to build a lot of sites, you're going to need multiple hosting accounts and the ability to pay for them, possibly even before you're making any money. One user said she's using six dedicated servers for her Mage sites. I can only assume that she's also generating sufficient revenue to cover those costs. Still, for up and coming MM users, who are building sites regularly, it's easy to imagine hitting a financial "dead spot" where you're spending a lot of money on hosting, need still more hosting to accommodate new sites, but don't yet have sufficient revenue to cover it all.

Huge profits from this product are possible. REALLY huge. One forum user hinted that he's taking in $1000/day from a single site, and he owns hundreds of others. But you're going to have to build a lot of sites to see a lot of money, and many of your sites are going to generate next to nothing in revenue. Others will hit a home run. With time, you can probably begin to figure out what will and what won't work, and suffer from fewer duds. The people making the serious money with this product have hundreds or even thousands of sites. It's a numbers game, as it is with any other online marketing endeavor. You need a lot of sites and you need time. This is not a product for making money right away; it's a product for making money over the long haul.

That said, domain names are cheap, you can build a huge, monitized, fully SEO'd site in minutes, and if you buy the right kind of domain using the provided documentation, you can have traffic coming to your site today.

It's extremely unlikely that anyone (myself included) will see any significant profits from the use of the software within the 30 day refund period, due to the fact that it simply takes time for many new sites to get indexed and to start drawing traffic. That said, 30 days is plenty of time to get a good idea as to whether this product is worthwhile.

So - the software seems to work (for others, at least; I haven't built a site with it yet, though I hope to build a couple later today), the documentation is thorough but voluminous, the support on the forum is great and the upside is huge.

The downside is the $1497 upfront plus ongoing (and possibly significant) hosting costs.

I see a huge potential here. The rest comes with time. More as it develops.

The scarcity thing could be in play here but, to be fair, I think Brown is referring to the number of bonus packages he is offering for the Mage.

Actually, the scarcity thing is for real if you don't mind waiting about a year because that is what he did the last time he released Mage.

The problem with a product like this it is going to be difficult to give reviews right away. I just brought this today myself and I see where this can be brilliant, and I also see a few shortcomings. The positives so far do outweigh everything else, however. But even having this tool I don't expect to see any results for 30-60 days.

I'll certainly post my results at that time if anyone is interested because I am going to focus on this product for the next 2-3 months only and see what I can do with it

Hi Greg, I sent you a PM with, what I feel is, a legitimate question for a $1,500 application. Would you like me to resend, or have you chosen not to respond?

I also posed a question to existing MM or WPM owners, but haven't seen any responses: Do you find that using MM - particularly with expired domains - eliminates the need for doing your own backlinking?

          - I am working about 20 hours a day, sleeping about 4 this week getting this product out. Warrior forum is something that I check maybe once a day and answer what I can. while WF PMS may be a important form of communication, I get about 35 a day, but are generally the last thing I prioritize after email, support desk, skype as it is a clunky way to communicate. If it is short and concise I answer on the spot, longer ones I go and do later. If you have a detailed question ask here in the thread or our support desk in the pre-sales section. They have all the answers and hours to type and respond and dialogue
So... basically I was getting to it.

To your query about expired domains, I covered that in detail in my pre-launch video and on the sales letter, but yes, you can use expired domains and never have to ever touch backlinking. It works. Some people chose to add automated backlinking tools and that works as well. It is a matter of opinion and preference... ie whether you want to spend your time on quantity or quality.. (in my experience, actually quantity always wins if you are aiming straight for the dosh)

Thanks Greg - I'm sure you've got your hands full and I appreciate the response.

At the risk of opening a can of worms by asking here in the forum, in my PM I asked if you'd be willing to share an example of a MM site of yours that's currently ranking on page 1 or page 2..

My interest in MM is the ability to blast out sites rapidly, but I'm also wondering just how well they can rank w/o me doing the follow-up chores like banklinking.

Understandable if you don't want to share a niche in the public forum, but I was hoping to see a ranked example to get me off the fence.

It is an irrelevant question. MM sites are not "Designed to rank on page 1"

you can use the software anyway you like, but you you follow my basic approach, then we win via posting thousands of long tail keywords, maybe things that only 30 people are searching for a month, but you can put up a site with 5000 of these "30 searches a month" terms and by default since there will be little to no competition for these ultra long tail keywords so you get the traffic by default which then will want to click on the hyper targeted affiliate product already there to match the content.

we win through massive amounts of post and basically through automation filling in all the holes for terms that are "not worth it" for people to manually optimize for.

              hope that answer makes sense.

on the same note, once you get your hands dirty with MM, you will see that me and my training is just your "starting point" and that MM is a very powerful and versitle tool in you hand to sculpt your little corner of the internets.... and that is when the real fun begins

and... I don't share my sites with anybody. I learned that one the hard way :-)

My first month with wpmage ( not monster ) I made $54 and that was just with a handful of sites. Its crazy, but it does work.

Monster is pretty much the same thing as wpmage just a desktop app so I "assume" it would perform the same.

I think the difference is that Mage Monster is a desktop application and WPMage was not. Also, I'm pretty sure WPMage has been replaced by Mage Monster.

WPMAGE Is a component of Monster Mage...

ie.. WPMAGE/CPMAGE is the engine that deploys your sites via your hosting account. Monster Mage is like a "Shell" that controls it from your desktop.

So you can create the same output in theory with WPMAGE and Monster Mage, just that Monster Mage makes from your Desktop instead of logging into your server

Included with Monster Mage are numerous extra plugins and features like Groupmage, OptinMage and Article Mage Network that are not included with the WPMAGE Package

Hope that explains it simply enough.

Automated, push-button programs that promise to do everything scare the hell out of me. Perhaps I got this wrong and maybe Mage is best thing to hit the market since the autoresponder. But I get real nervous when my business is going to be so reliant of a push-button tool that appears to do everything for me.

It costs to much! I actually programmed a software program just like it and was gonna sell it on clickbank for a couple hundred. My program was web based and you would install it on your sever. I never got around to completely finishing it, but I was able to create many wordpress sites by entering the keyword and clicking go. My program would set all the settings, install all the plugins, and setup auto blogging using wpscraper & article jackpot automatically. I think thats what Monster Mage is. I think that its a good program because I make hundreds a day with them, but Mage costs to much for those getting started. Oh I think the price for Mage is like $1500, not to mention the upsales that Im sure he has. Although from a programmers stand point it was alot of work to get my program working, so I bet it cost alot to get Mage working.

Cost is $1497, plus hosting for your Mage sites. Hosting is available for $10.95/month.

      That's it. No upsells.

Yes, you can probably duplicate what MM does. But MM does it already, and you can build 100 sites a day if you want, each with 1000-10,000 posts.

It's not for everyone, but I do think it's possible to make a lot of money with it. That part is up to the user.

I've been a Mager for almost 2 years now. Throughout that time, many of the same questions and concerns have come up over & over again - does it work?, does it still work after Google's witch-hunt for affiliate autoblogs?, is it worth the steep price-tag?, etc. It would be nice to put those questions to rest, once & for all, and essmeier above, has done a good job on some of these points. I'd like to take my own comprehensive stab here, and assuming the right questioners actually read this, perhaps it'll end some of the repetitive questions:

Does it work? Yes, unquestionably. Many Magers have made and are making 4-5 figures per month. The method is questioned by many affiliate marketers who prefer to put up more "thick" authoritative sites with deeply-researched keywords and extensive backlink campaigns, because Mage doesn't use any of that. Its sites get all their traffic & income from long-tail keywords from eBay & Amazon listings, little if any keyword research, re-published non-original content, and no backlink campaigns. Is one method right or the other wrong? No. They both work, and it's whatever floats your boat. In the end, it's smart to have a bunch of these and a bunch of the well-researched, backlinked kind in your portfolio.

Does it work for everybody? No. Nothing does, and there have definitely been people who bought Mage, tried it, and never made much money with it. Same with people doing the other kind of Amazon/CJ/Clickbank affiliate sites. Same with eBay stores, CPA, PPV, and even launching your own product. Some failures and some successes.
The Magers who seem to have done the best are those that put up 100s of sites, because as few as 1 out of every 10 will bring you real monthly income. So if you have 500 Mage sites your chances of a nice steady monthly is better than if you have just 50. Then you might have 50 sites, instead of 5, bringing in an average of $50/mo. with maybe the other 450 bringing in an average of only $5/mo. That's about $5,000/mo., not too shabby. And if putting up & managing 500 blogs sound like a lot to you, remember that Mage puts these up in about 10 minutes each, and Monster Mage helps you manage them all effortlessly. As long as you can afford the domains and hosting costs, you could have those 500 sites up in 2-3 weeks easy.

Is it worth it? $1500 is a bundle, no doubt, Greg prices his packages fairly high, compared to all the $17, $97, even $497 programs we regularly see in the WSOs. But if you make back that $1500 within the first 3 months of purchase, and then make at least $2K-$3K, and potentially $5K-$10K every month thereafter, was it worth $1500? How much have you made from that $17-$97 WSO you bought 6 months ago?

Are these sites vulnerable to Google's slap-down? Of course. So is every other affiliate site you can build, even if it's tricked out to look like an authority site. Unless it is an actual authority site, with superb content and non-eBay/Amazon products already offered through thousands of other affiliate sites, you're vulnerable, and you're site will eventually lose it's money-making juice. Maybe other "thick" affilaite sites will last 2-4 years before they go stale, maybe these Mage sites will only last 1-2 years. Any good IMer knows you can't put up 10 or 100 sites, in any style, and just walk away, hoping for lifetime income. As old sites go stale, you gotta keep rotating 'em and put up new ones. If you make $40,000 with 500 Mage sites this year, and next year they all get slapped down and your income vanishes, you don't care because you were busy putting up 500 more that are just a few months old, and they've taken over.

In the end it all comes down to which IM approaches feel best to you, not which one is more "righteous" or guaranteed or perfect. None of them are perfect. But Mage works. In my first 2 years, it sent my family to Bali, and payed for my son's first 2 years of college. If it makes me nothing in the next 2 years, I won't complain, I'll just get one of those cheap $27 WSOs and try a different angle . But I'll never bemoan what Mage has already given me.

I have a few questions please...

            1) Of all the hundreds of domain names you buy for your MM sites, what percentage are expired domains, brand new domains, or domains from live auctions?

            2) If its expired domain names you buy (which is what Greg teaches), have you figured out a cheaper way to buy them? Just asking because they average at least double the cost of new domains. I spent about $110.00 for only 6 domains and at that price, 500 domains per year would cost at least $10,000.00. So when you say your 500 sites, or whatever the number, is making you $40,000.00 per year, is that AFTER the cost of all your domains?

            2) Typically what do you spend per year on hosting and who do you use? I'm using Hostgator because I love their 24/7 phone tech support.

            3) I heard Greg in the Domain Mage training video warn against buying tired and used up domain names. I assume that is the same thing as what you are saying when you mentioned how sites will eventually lose their money making juice right? So how does a domain get like that?

            4) If you are building a 1000 page site, do you ever throw up lets say 500 pages at once and then let the other 500 drip feed on a daily basis? And if so, wouldn't that increase the life span of your sites?

            5) Typically how many pages do your sites have, and is there a maximum that is recommended? Or is the maximum number of pages for a site always based on how many long tail keywords you can get?

            6) Do you get your keywords from the sources in MM? If not, where?

            Thanks very much. :-)

im not bashing, but all that work putting up over 500 sites in the hope that 50 or so will bring in $5k a month? your better of concentrating on 10 niche micro site with clickbank products on.

To me this just sounds like a scatter gun approach, throw a thousand and some will sure stick.......

You do only need one hosting account, Marion. But if you've ever had lots of sites up, generating lots of traffic, you would know that it's the size of the server your on, that matters. In the beginning, when you only have 40-50 Mage sites up, you can get by with a simple shared hosting plan. By the time you have 250-500, you will have outgrown that shared server's memory & resource capabilities and need to upgrade to a VPS or Dedicated server...your monthly hosting fees will increase from as little as $15/mo., to $50, $100 or more a month. For all my traffic, I had to upgrade to a Dedicated server for over $200/mo. at Servint, but then, I'm making much more income, so it works out

Steve, these are all great questions that are all answered very fully in Mage's tutorials, Greg gives a full training course. If you're gonna get Mage you'll see throrough answers for all this in the course. If you're passing on it, no need to give a long Mage training here in this review thread.

I will say that Expired Domains can give your new Mage sites an initial boost, based on the backlinks still active from the previous site built on that domain...sometimes you get a big boost, sometimes almost no boost at all, depending on the quality of the previous site and the backlinks that were there. There is an expired domain finder built into Mage.

I subscribe to another expired domain list called Register Compass. The domains I find there are fully expired, meaning they're available just like any other domain at normal price. I find the ones I want on Register Compass, hop over to GoDaddy and buy them just like any new domain, no extra $.

I buy about 1/2 expired, half new ones. And yes, of course, your final yearly income will be your gross minus all your domain & hosting expenses...for me it's still plenty worth it.

#3 I don't know all of why some pages get de-ranked or de-juicified by Google, while others stay at the top. Some of it's pure luck and Google's capriciousness. It's NOT always because of the "spammy" nature of autoblog pages, as many would think. Some Magers have seen some of their top traffic pages suddenly get their traffic cut in half, others with similarly autoblog-looking pages never see a drop.

#4 I do drip feed a percentage of my pages into the future, supposedly it gives the SERPS the impression that there's still plenty of "new activity" happening on the blog. But I've seen some of my site go up in traffic after the drip-feeding was over and nothing new was happening...other Mager have corroborated this.

#5 Best explained in Greg's training in the course your now gonna rush to buy

#6 Mage comes with a keyword-finding program called Keyword Mage. I have tried all the other highly-touted keyword-finding programs, including OneLung's eBay Keyword Scraper (terrible!) and nothing rivals the keywords Keyword Mage pulls. IMHO, this one tool is worth the whole $1500.

Well Michael, the obvious question would be, how much money are you making from those 10 niche micro sites with clickbank? What percentage of those work? I've had success with these too, which is why I said you should do both...so you can make more money! But I've also put up many micro niche sites, highly-targeted to a good keyword, beautifully laid-out, with a fine backlinking campaign, a lot of time and hard work, and they made zilch, nada. Which again, is why I ask, what percentage of your micro-niche sites succeed. Probably not much better than how many of these Mage sites do.

Plus, when you say "all that work putting up 500 sites" it's obvious you haven't tried Mage. Each site takes 5-10 minutes to fully erect, and there's really no work at all, just a few choices and a few buttons. If you had a program that made putting up blogs feel like opening your refrigerator and picking your evening meal, and it could make you an extra $5K a month, why wouldn't you??

Unfortunately, I ran out of time, because I wanted to jump in, try mage out, and then promote it to my list, for one very simple reason...

Over the years, I've worked with many people who were trying to get "started", and just couldn't find something that worked for them. Interestingly enough, at least 4 of them are now full time magers, and making an income of at least $2,000 a month, so I know for a fact that not only the potential, but the LIKELY HOOD of someone making their investment back, plus significant profit is very real.

The thing with a piece of software like this is you have to be prepared to SCALE IT and to build it out in mass quanities, so if you are squeamish, you might have a hard time with it.

$1,500 for the software, then at least another couple hundred in domains is a HUGE RISK for some people...hell, add it up, and for some folks trying to support and feed their family, it is more than a months worth of income, and I would never recommend to take food off your families table FOR ANYTHING, but in many situations in life...those that take the biggest risks end up with the biggest rewards.

I'm still kicking myself in the ass for missing the boat on this one early on, and being able to take it through it's paces and then presenting some solid results to my list.

I see your point, but the thing about the mage system, for me anyway, was the ease in getting the sites up, WITHOUT having to write content (which i hated) and WITHOUT having to do backlinking to your sites (which i hated).

And to your comment of "throw a thousand and some will sure stick......." that would happen in any niche site that you make, correct? Some work and some don't. But the thing with the mage is that you are putting maybe, what, ten minutes tops on each site, whereas with a niche site that has original content and backlinking and such, that takes ALOT of time and work with the chance of it getting no results. With Mage, if it doesn't work, it's not lke you spent hours upon hours making it.

Also, you can't really scale the original niche sites unless you are outsourcing it, which takes money that some people might not have.

I've done those activities in the past, and i did make a little money from it (emphasis on little), but the work involved was just a complete drag, i didn't enjoy it, and all that hard work didn't translate into enough money to make it worth my wild. Certainly not enough for me to continue on that path.

When the mage came out, it seemed like a system that i could wrap my head around and i could concentrate on just putting up sites in good niches with low competition and decent demand. That's all i had to worry about. NOT content writing and NOT backlinking, which was a huge plus for me.

In terms of the content, two things: the data feeds from Ebay themselves come up with the unique content. That's what makes the content unique. Also, spinning the content from third party sites (to which i do a little of, maybe one or two other content sources OTHER than Ebay on each page). So that takes care of the content.

The backlinking is taken care of by the expired domains that i buy. Now mind you, some will not be able to do this because it gets VERY expensive when you start to buy a lot of expireds, as i have. If that's the case, then you just buy regular domains, but just be aware, at least in my experience anyway, that they do not perform as well as expireds.

You can also buy .info's, as i have for like 2 bucks, but they have NEVER worked for me. Some in the mage forum say it works for them, but they are in the minority. I bought like 19 of them, and they all bombed. So just be aware of that.

And hosting. Someone above said you could put like 40-50 mage sites on a shared hosting account. I think that is WAAAYYY too many. I have 20-25 each on 9 shared hosting accounts, and still get emails from time to time saying that i am using up too many resources. I think if i would have had as many as 40-50, i would've been kicked out by now.

I know i should transfer to a dedicated (some people are saying to go to a VPS, but if it's more power and resources that you want, you need a dedicated, as a VPS isn't really built for that. Atleast that is what other people tell me, anyway.). So that will cost you money. I'm just lazy i guess and haven't done it yet.

Anyway, back to my point. With these sites, they are set and, not so much forget, but do very very very little work in the future. Work like:

                - update plugins

                - update wordpress

                - add keywords to your sites when they run out (amount of pages in your mage sites is equal to the amount of keywords you have. So if you have 100, for example, and drip one page a day starting today, you will have 100 pages of content going out to 100 days in the future. So when the content runs out, you add keywords to add more pages)

And that's essentially it. (and by the way, the monster takes care of ALL of the above, and more, from one central location. but more on the monster in a minute).

Whereas if you are gong the 10 niche route, with original content and backlinking, you always have to do that in the future PLUS what i mentioned above. Now you can of course outsource all of that, but it takes money coupled with managing outsourcers and so on and so forth, and i might do that, but i want to build a nest egg before i dip in to that.

So i did the Mage to build Niche sites that i could scale without killing myself in content and backlinking and that could get a good (actually great) ROI on my money.

Now, Monster Mage. As i mentioned, it is a complete time saver in terms of building Mage sites. So it was a definite no brainer for me to purchase, which i did.

BUT (and this is a big but) at the moment, it doesn't work for me. Crashes all the time. Been doing that since the 7th of July. Some people say it crashes on them like 90% of the time. For me, I have YET to be able to put up a site with it.

Disheartening as i wanted to get back in to building these sites (took a break from them about 6 months ago). They said that they are working on it, but i have a 1 month window before the refund period ends, and if this doesn't work after 1 month of them working on it, then i have my doubts that it ever will.

But i will be patent, given that i have done well with Mage. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and be patient and wait for at least 1 month (until the refund period comes upon me). If it doesn't work by then, then i guess I'll have to refund and just do it the manual way. I'm hoping it doesn't come to that point so that i can actually use it. Hopefully Greg will extend the refund period until they can get it fixed....

So anyway, to each his own. It works for me and i do well with it, which is all that really matters to me. Will this get slapped out of existence some time in the future? Probably, but who cares? I'll ride this pony until it is no longer feasible (monetarily). I'll admit that I still have another project that i work on that is original in content and backlinking and such, but i do this one slowly over time and it's just 1 site that i concentrate on. I plan on having that site for the rest of my life so there is no rush on that money-wise. That's a LOOONG term project where i don't expect to make money on in the short term.

But i needed something now that i didn't have to spend so much time on, that i could scale, and would work pretty quickly and that could get a good ROI on. Mage fit the bill. Quick, residual income without too much upkeep that will last at least to the foreseeable future.

    Great comments.

I thought you only needed 1 hosting campaign! Take Greg's hosting company he suggested, get hosting for first domain, and I thought all the other domains to follow can go on that same hosting account? it does say 'unlimited domains'.

So what is the big cost with hosting?

If you have to get new hosting for every domain, say you have 100 of them, that is going to get expensive!

    Please help

    Thanks

In theory, it will support "unlimited domains." The problem isn't drive space; it's a matter of available CPU and memory on the hosting server. There are only so many pages the server can hand out to visitors at any one time. If you exceed that, you're going to have very slow load times.

Visitors to your sites aren't going to wait for a page that takes 3 minutes to load. That means you need to spread your sites around.

If its expired domain names you buy (which is what Greg teaches), have you figured out a cheaper way to buy them? Just asking because they average at least double the cost of new domains. I spent about $110.00 for only 6 domains and at that price, 500 domains per year would cost at least $10,000.00. So when you say your 500 sites, or whatever the number, is making you $40,000.00 per year, is that AFTER the cost of all your domains?

Keep in mind that the prices you mention are the cost of acquiring the domain names. Once you own them, the renewal rates are the same as for any other domain name. I typically pay about $8 per year to renew a dot com, for instance. That would make it about $4000 to renew 500 domains, but even that's negotiable. GoDaddy is pretty good about taking care of their big volume customers.

Greg's documentation has some good information about what constitutes a "good" domain name to buy on the second hand market. Ideally, you want one that has NOT been used for affiliate marketing previously.

I'm just getting started with MM and I'm repurposing some older domains I have that aren't doing anything productive for me. One of them dates to 2000, so I may get good results out of that.

I'm still learning (there's a LOT to learn) but that should answer at least a few questions.

    Hi perswealth.

You can ask support to install CPMage on your webserver. (It has all the same functionality as the MageMonster Desktop app. This way you can get on with building sites until the Desktop app has been fixed (and you can then import all you new sites into the Desktop app).

You should also take a look at Greg's forum post where he explains the crashing issue in detail.

    Regards
    Don

Thanks for your comments Charlie & Seth

The help desk also confirmed that I could only have up to 30 domains with 1 hosting, probably 25 would be better! So, they better be good ones, not all trial and error!

Someone mentioned they have 'a shared server'. What does that mean?

Another question is, when looking for expired domains with backlinks, what is the minimum amount of backlinks you need to get good ranking? I know the Age of the domain and PR also help.

    Thanks

Shared hosting just means you are sharing space with anywhere from 10 to 1000 other people on one server...think of a 100-person office that only has one big hard-drive for everyone to share.

All the under-$15/mo. plans at the main hosting companies like Hostgator, are shared. They're fine for your first 25 -100 sites. If you'd like to organize your sites into groups of no more than 25-30 per account or IP address, you can try Hostgator's Reseller plans - $25/mo. to start, but even though this allows you to spread out your sites, they're all still on the same server. Eventually, when you're using too much memory & resources, you'll have to upgrade to a Dedicated server. Mage sites are resource-hogs, but I had 250 sites on a Hostgator Reseller account for over a year before I needed to upgrade, so you'll have some time before you need to worry about more expensive hosting.

It is impossible to say how many backlinks any page needs to rank high in Google, because backlinks are only one part of the competition equation. Depending on the competition for the particular keywords your page is trying to rank for, you could have just 5 backlinks and be #1, or you could have over 1000 backlinks and still be way back on page 35 of Google

As I expected, the software has still full of bugs. I never had a luck installing a site and it just stops somewhere in the middle of the process.

I had similar issues with other autoinstaller from a blog network and instead of hopelessly waiting for the support for a solution, I ended up doing the legwork myself, manually that is.

So I am poised for a refund if this things wont get any better in the coming days.

I simply wonder why for a very hefty price, the seller did not hire battery of QA's (paid pennies, outsourced) to test the product in different OS'es and hosting accounts, with their setup recommended configurations.

      Anislagen, that's disappointing to hear.

Do you have an unusual setup that causes this not to work, or is it down to Mage Monster being poorly rolled out?

Supposedly they had beta testers using the platform (don't know for how long or how many though) for a little while. Maybe he didn't use enough of a sampling? He mentions that it is only happening to like 3% of the users. Personally, i find that hard to believe, but anyway....

See that's the thing. There is a thread that was created where you had to answer some questions about your computer system and what you have on it. Now they said that they have a "theory" as to why it's crashing, and asked questions about some software that might be on your system, and the versions that you have of each. I don't have any of the mentioned ones, so that can't be it for me. I'm paranoid about putting third party software on my computer because of trojans and viruses and such. So that can't be it for me.

Your monster also comes with some type of log system where it logs the different functions that it does in real time, and if there is ever an error that happens (like crashes), you just send this log file to support and they can tell what happened and remedy it.

Now i can tell you right now that it has something to do with "wordpress configuration" (there are like 13 or so steps involved when you create a site, and the monster goes through each one, one by one, where it puts a check next to each when it finishes that step safefly. I don't know the actual number, but something like 12 or 13 steps).

Step number 10 was this "wordpress configuration" and my crashes ALWAYS happened at step 10. So i know, for me anyway, that this is where my particular issue resides.

Technically you can put as many sites as you want on a hosting account, the 25-30 is the amount that in our experience that most hosting companies will "Feel good" about being on their "unlimited plans" without getting into a tiff over system resources

it is actually not "full of bugs" it is "a bug"
I explained this in our private forums, but will repeat it here.

Monster is built in a cross-platform development environment so that it can be deployed
in Mac, Windows and Linux simultaneously.

What this means is that we have to put our code through a compiler which makes it "ready" individually for Windows, Mac etc...

Now the issue at hand (in simple terms) is that Monster works fine on Mac and LInux and most windows configurations/setups.. However due to how certain system files (DLLs) are packaged into Windows from the compiler, these are causing incompatibilities that surfaced once pushed out to the masses.

So the problem is with the underlying windows "middleware" architecture. Our solution has been to hire an expensive software consulting firm to "crack open" these bits of middlewarre and expose the areas of incompatibilities with the various setups that is causing the crash. not an easy, nor fun task, but one that we are working on. Since some users seem to prefer to use WF for updates than our own forums, I can tell you that we have just released version r80 to our beta testers and as of now r80 is not causing any crashes. If that holds through, within the next few hours through our testing regiment, then we will release it over to you and it will be solved. If something does happen, then we will continue working furiously until it is fixed.

Keep in mind we are also addressing your issues via our private forums and support desk nobody on our team has slept more than a few winks in shift and we have been through now 12 releases to our beta testers pinpointing the issue since our launch a few days ago.

You can contact our support desk for an interim solution at WPmage - Kayako eSupport Help Desk Software or just send me a PM if you like

It was tested thoroughly for months, but sometimes life sucks and bugs dont surface until hundreds of people all start using it at once. You can judge the weight of a company by their response. Hold tight it is being handled and those effected are/will be well taken care of.

Fortunately it is only effecting a small % of users, but that of course does not make it any better for those that it is effecting as understandably you just want to build sites! For those that the crash is effecting, I recommend until we make an announcement that Monster is fixed for you, that you submit a ticket to our support desk and take the recommendation and offer that we have provided to you as it is very generous and useful and you will be able to create sites the same and import them later into Monster with a click.

That way you are using your time efficiently for the moment.

        Thank you for your patience.

        -Greg

UPDATE: Everybody that has been experiencing crashes, please check out private Bug-tracking forum. We have a build released r81 that is working so far for all our testers and no longer crashing. Before we make an official announcement that this is the "fix" we want to invite whoever feels adventurous to go ahead and try to break it. The link to download this final "test" version is in our Bug tracking forum for anybody that has a spare few minutes.

IF you want to just wait for the "confirmed official" version then if all is well with r81, then it will officially be announced to update within 24 hours and we can put this "monster" bug to bed

Hey Seth, thanks for answering some of my questions. I did buy MM even before asking my questions here. I only asked them here because no one was answering my questions in the MM forum. I guess I'll try MM's customer support next.

Thanks for the tip about registercompass.com. It would be awesome if MM would add a list of expired domains to Domain Mage that don't require us having to pay the extra registration fees.

Are you aware of any other source besides registercompass that does what they do but does NOT require a membership fee? I like to charge membership fee's for my stuff but don't like to pay them.

      Thanks

        Steve
There are a few others...but they all charge between $27-$99/mo. I tried several, Register Compass was the best, hands down. The Domain Mage expired domain finder in Mage is pretty good too, and it already comes with the program. I just wanted more choices, and the ability to filter my choices.

I could say more about how specific you can get with choosing domain names & number of backlinks in Register Compass, but this is a review thread for Mage, and not the place to go into more detail about RC. Perhaps there's already a review thread for RC and other expired-domain choosers...if not PM me for more.

As to your reticence to pay extra...can't relate:confused:. If one domain I get from RC makes me just $40 more, because of RC's filtering power and the domain's backlink juice, than a hastily-erected site on a brand-new domain, RC just paid for itself for the whole month. That happens quite regularly for me, so the $37/mo. fee is a moot point

Regarding the crashing - I'm running Windows 7/64 and I set MM to run in XP compatibility mode, and the crashes have pretty much stopped, for me, at least.

I've built six sites in the past 24 hours, and I've only had one crash. Prior to setting compatibility mode, it was only working about 10% of the time.

Mage Monster is an incredible piece of software, and the more I work with it, the more I like it. I've had it for three days, and I can easily say that I have no regrets about buying it.

As always, it's a tool, and 95% of the people who buy any tool aren't going to use it or make money with it.

Judging from the bug thread that was created at the mage forum, ALL of the people affected seem to be using Windows. I don't think i have seen someone report a bug in that thread that was a MAC user, although i could be wrong.

Plus, the explanation form Greg above pretty much confirms that it is a Windows issue...

The Mac version doesn't crash in my experience. It's just get stuck while in the wordpress install stage. I was told that it was a copy+paste of license text but I tried several times using 2 hosts, one recommended for mage and still got the same problem.

For now, I just resort installing the plugins via wordpress. I guess this would prevent any compatibility issues. I succeeded generating posts so I'll test some more.

While there are lots of ways to make money online, the very best way is to take something that's very easy to apply, and which already has a proven formula, complete with all the tools you need to start making instant income!

You can simply turn the key something that's proving itself as workable from the start and which has tons and tons of proof that everyone doing it is making lots of money.

The very day that any one launch a product. People starting talking with hours by asking...
Anyone know what this is about [the name of any product]?

And immediately people started saying things like:
    it's scam!
    Stay away from it!
It has all the red flags of a scam!
    ...and so on.

Others reacted by believing what they said, Unfortunately most what everyone's saying was:
    Thanks guys... I wasn't sure!
    Yeah... I thought so...
Thanks for clearing that up for me... You guys are the best!
    ... and so on.

I am so awed by how many "experts" were all so raring to give everyone their "opinion"

Most people, although they would naturally and intuitively say "no" actually have far more confidence than not in people who are famous and well-known.

But I sort of get disappointed in people when they just outright judge something or someone without any real evidence to support their claim (people that said this is scam!!). This is called a baseless opinion.

Now, this is what really bothers me how would people that never bought the product know whether what they have said is true or false?

You should never take action based off something "baseless." If you do, you may end up either hurting yourself or something else, looking a fool, or doing some other horrible damage.

And whatever you do, don't become one of these types of pessimists.

They always think their failures are the result of other people faults.

They never seen the pattern of their own self destructive behavior as they incorrectly assume that the reason things didn't work out of them must have been due to someone else.

You can always start a traditional offline business such as a retail store and wait 2-5 years like everybody else and see whether you have a winner or loser on your hands then"... to which they usually get the point and realize that a few days or weeks to test out stuff online isn't a really big demand (or risk!) at all.

    Thanks for reading,

Folks, one look at this no-stone-left-unturned product, the no-stone-left-unturned PDF manual, the EFFICIENT, no-wasted-time videos, the forum, the after-sale training webinars and last but not least the clear, concise teaching style and the caring service and attention to detail from Greg Jacobs tells me that -- (breathe) -- even though MM is a high-ticket item, that's justified. IMHO, all things considered including other big deals that were junk, he priced MM too low and should have made it a monthly membership instead of a 1-time purchase.

We are jawdroppingly astonished by the quality and value, and we've been around the pond several times.

I don't even have words to describe the quality of Greg's character that is shining through all this. Here he was in the forum today answering questions that he's already answered in the MM forum for members, and that were not necessary to answer for nonmembers because the offer is closed (I think). His handling of complaints and challenges is as masterful, honest and straightforward as anything I've ever seen. It's got to be because he stands behind his product, loves his work and loves helping people. Genuinely.

    I'm about speechless.

I don't wish to flog a dead horse, or close the door after the horse has bolted (I am in cliche mode today), but I have been corresponding with someone who has wpmage and has made some money. Not a lot, but it has more than paid for the software over the last 12 months.

It seems the problem he has had is that in the last month or two, the volume of traffic on many, many of his sites has fallen. A few have recovered, but many are 50% to 70% lower than they used to be.

I am guessing that this is to do with panda and related panda updates.

Is this still worth doing in this anti-crap post panda era?

Amazing no matter how often we (we meaning both myself, my staff and the majority of active users) the answer stays the same..
and we have been answering this same question and giving the same answer for over 2 years.....

      figure it out.

      the answer is
...which each google update (panda specifically included) some mage sites go up, some go down. there is no aggrete indication to indicate an upward or downwards trend.

Sometimes during an update batches of sites get hit..sometimes hard... but always for that same update there is someone says "all my traffic and earnings went up 50%"

Guys.. when WPMAGE first came out in 2009, there was a HUGE chorus of people saying the EXACT same thing... ie.. "google doesnt like these sites.. its not going to work forever.."

      etc...

that was 2 years and millions of dollars in commissions ago. Even if it stopped working today, we would be doing the fine.

the fact is that it works. it works today and if for some reason it stops working tomorrow then we find out the reason and make an update.

Now.... is that sufficient or would someone like to ask the same question again in a different way.

Also we are closed and if we open again, it is not going to be for a long time, so there is no reason to keep pounding this point of a review forum as if you are in, you can discuss it on our private forums and if you are not in, then you have missed out and the point is moot.

      Hope that clears up everything.

I was wondering the same thing, I bought Monster Mage, but I am not sure what it offers over WP Robot. Outside of managing cpanel (which can be done with other tools w/ WP Robot) I am not sure the real difference. From what it seems, WP Robots has a lot more functionality from the auto posting arena.

That is an understatement to say the least...

I try not to get into the "feature compare" game mainly because with Monster you are getting a complete solution... meaning instead of spending all your time researching and piecemealing solutions together that may or may not work, everything is in one place done and gone.

So without putting either product "up or down" a gross comparison of "features" is ..

...that while you could in theory say that some of the the "plugins" share similar traits.. .. .that is where it ends and still you have only breached 15% of what Monster is offering.

First off we have the MONSTER. You stated
"Outside of managing cpanel (which can be done with other tools"

This is complete understatement and most likely FALSE. Monster is advanced desktop management and deployment engine. within 5 minutes you can have a site fully deployed with 1000's of posts of targeted content and affilaite products targeted to that content.

That includes setting up the actual WP Site, DB's etc.., configuring ALL plugins (both Mage plugins and recommended 3rd party) so for example we pre-configure All-in-one SEO Pack so you dont have to. Generating sitemap, creating customer privacy policy, T+C and contact page, validating your EPN domain file (if you use EPN) and pre-installing one of your selected themes and configuring correctly.

This is MUCH more than "cpanel management"

In addition Monster uses XML-RPC (for the WP Geeks in here) to automatically control plugins and updates from your desktop. So
you have complete 1 click update on all your sites, monster and plugins. this gets quite handy if you have lots of sites.

And it sits on your desktop and works in Windows, Mac and Linux.

I know there is nothing even close to it within 1000 miles. I have only breached the surface of what it can do because quite frankly I am tired of typing and it is not even for sale anymore at the moment...

Besides the Monster Desktop management, the Monster suite provides a complete solution for EVERYTHING you could possibly need.

Domain research. We provide Domain Mage integrated into the software which sifts through 100,000's of daily expiring domains and finds the 500 or so with tons of juicy backlinks and pagerank. You can buy these domains for $6-$11 plus reg fees. Some people make a killing just using Domain Mage to buy these juicy high PR domains and selling backlinks or just flipping the domain quickly for %2000 profit

Keyword research. Nothing even comes close to Keyword Mage. a 69 million line Database of keywords that you can deep query to create targeted lists in order to populate your Monster site. In addition you get Word Wizard which is a desktop application that generates large lists of what we call "buyer keywords"

MORE Features - FacebookMage, CBMage, OptinMage, GroupMage (for groupon etc...) LinkMage (for MageWheels) just to name a few.

The bottom line is while other programs may be good at what they do... (i am not denying that and no need to get into a feature nitpick) Mage Monster and the training is specifically designed to provide a complete toolkit and solution. Ie.. if someone gets Mage Monster, then that is it. They have all the tools and training they will ever need to succeed. Ie.. their search is over. Only thing left to do is take action .

Hope that diplomatically answers the inquiry

              -Greg

ups, back from vacation, I notice I just missed this launch. Greg, any chance for an extra licence? Unfortunately, the reopening last Friday came a bit too early for me.

MASTER MAGE is MONSTER MAGE or WORDPRESS MAGE? I'm confused. New Monster Mage is also called Master Mage?

The old product, now replaced by Mage Monster, was CPMage. Mage Monster is a desktop application. It's also the name for a group of online apps that help you - Keyword Mage, Domain Mage, etc.

AFAIK, a Master Mage is simply a Mage user with a lot of experience. At least that's the use in the Mage Forum.
