Textbroker-like service that accepts UK/international authors

I have been thinking about doing some article-writing to fill in some downtime here and there. The pick-it-up-when-you-want-it approach of Textbroker would suit me fine, even if the rates are not the highest, as I do not have time to run a Warriors for Hire, or hunt around too much for clients (never mind bid for them through eLance etc.) I would prefer just to check in every now and then when I have time and pick up what's available.

Textbroker only accepts US authors. Does anyone know of an equivalent for UK or international authors, that still has reasonable rates, quality control, native-speakers-only, etc? (Yes, I have Googled around, without too much light shed on the subject).

  • Thanks for reminding me about Constant Content - I had forgotten about them. It's a somewhat different model to TB but I think I could make that work.
  • If you're absolutely desperate there's London Brokers. I haven't used them personally but I've heard they pay out regulary via Paypal. Be warned though, they claim $5 per article but they usually want 3 versions (the original + 2 re-writes). Like I said, only if you're desperate.

    • It's usually 1 original article and 2 rewrites for about $6-$7 at London Brokers
