Alminc, I joined this service last month so I'm into my second month..

I am at logger heads to continue with the service because I was expecting 15000 links per month...

The way it works is you get the opportunity to post 100 articles per month and place 3 anchor texts in each post... That's 300 links per month... Then you get to place 50 one way link credits ( 1 link credit = 300 links onto the side bar of blogs) times 50 equals 15000.. but you don't get 50 link cedits next month you have to delete your current links and add your new ones so it is not 50 per month you get to place and remove 50 links... So THAT ISN'T 15,000 PER MONTH IS IT. So the statement of 15,000 per month is misleading..

Even more annoying post submissions that weren't used last month, aren't rolled over to the next month...

Running a Backlink check concludes that there is no where near the amount stated..

Backlinks are important, the quality of backlinks are even more important..

I have requested an explanation at this stage my questions aren't being answered..

I'll let you know how I go when requesting a refund..

Sorry you were confused by the backlink count (that said we've answered all your tickets, and the process is explained from within your dashboard as well).
You get 50 credits, each one accounting for 300 backlinks during 1 month. So, each month, you get 50x300=15,000 backlinks.

That's it. Not sure what's wrong there. You can claim it's misleading, but that's what it is, so not sure once again, how to make it clearer. You get 15,000 backlinks a month.

In month 1 you generate 15,000 backlinks, and in month 2 you keep 15,000 backlinks (in fact 20% more since you have a 20% bonus in month 2). And so on, so that each month, you have 15,000 backlinks.

Brett, did you mean that your idea was that in month 2 you would get 30,000 backlinks, in month 3, 45,000 backlinks, in month 10:150,000 backlinks?

If so, I am sorry, we never ever mentioned such a thing. Not sure though that can still claim it's misleading when you don't get something that was never offered nor advertised, nor even mentioned in any way...

@Almin: not sure this has anything to do with the thread. That said, the service you purchase is a monthly service and cancelling it right during the first month did not help build the expected backlink structure (other packages were more relevant for this purpose). That said, we can gladly rebuild your package if links are not up to what you expected. But we provided the number of backlinks you bought. That said, backlinks is a dynamic thing and some might not last too long.

As I said, you cancelled on April 5 and never asked for anything, or complained to get anything sorted out. It would have been way faster to ask fro it, instead of waiting for 3 months to start biching here :-)

JP: Yes mate your support team did respond to my ticket and thanks for that but my questions remained unanswered.. Yes I did expect 15000 new links each month... Reason being..

We pay 147 for 100 posts per month and 15000 links per month, You get 100 new posts per month and not 15000 new links per month..

Your monthly subscription lets you use and maintain 15000 links each month and I assume that as soon as you stop subscribing all your links would be wiped from the service...

If you look at the actual indexed links out of the 15000 plus the 100 posts it's not even 4%.. at this stage.. so 30000 45000 probably isn't unreasonable..

In fact right now I set up this months links only.. on a new campaign, using your service and a free service, no links from freetgen and a few links from the free service.. I would also suggest being able to run monthly articles in spin syntax..

Having to publish 100 articles per month, you would get a better result with ezine premium and you can spit out as many as you want.. and who wants to do that?

The other issue that wasn't answered was the roll over of unused post entries. I find this to be a bit unfair... Being able to submit short 300 word posts is a good thing..

I was hoping to get others feed back by joining this thread, as you would with any new product...

      thanks JP for responding :-/

We did not release a cumulative text link feature to avoid turning our content network into a pure link network. It would be useless in just a few days. Can you imagine 300 members each publishing 60,000 links in 4 months from now, or 150,000 in 10 months from now.
It would make any of these links completely useless and for sure not worth the monthly price.

Which means, that this process and attached limitation is aimed at protecting our members and the network by keeping the right balance between content (this is a content network), links to our members' web pages, and indexation rate by search engines.

As for your indexation rate: all the web pages onto which you're posting a link are indexed in different search engines. It does not mean your links will get indexed overnight. But they will get indexed at some point. Now, it also depends where the link is pointing to (relevant content, unique content, redirect page...) and we can't control how effective it will be from that point of view.

Following the same logic, there's no roll over: we want to make sure the network is used in an efficient way. We don't want members rushing into the system posting 1000 articles and then leaving. It won't be effective for you. As well, this is the way the system will bring the most results: regular and progressive backlink building.

Finally, we announced 2 weeks ago, that on top of the existing network (around 1200 content websites with these limitations), we are setting up a satellite network with around 1000 extra content blogs (different ones) and it should be ready within a few weeks (of course this network will be free of charge for existing members of FreeTGen).

On this network, people will get unlimited content and text link posting as well as spintax capabilities to spin the posted content. Once again, it was announced a few weeks ago and is in progress.

We are not hiding anything, and we are crystal clear on how FreeTGen works. It could be different, but this is the way we want it, simply because it gets results that way.

That's funny some people are happy they did not join (obviously without the slightest idea why they're so happy) when we have members whose subscription was canceled by Paypal, literally begging us to be able to rejoin :-)

@Etticcash: I saw that you just sent $97 to my paypal as a refund for
Amazonia subscription that I cancelled, but never asked for a refund.

If you are eager to issue a refund, than I must remind you that I paid
$197 for the first month, not $97. I am saying this because word
'partial' was not mentioned in your message. I can understand that
you are willing to issue only partial refund because some work was done,
but in that case it should be clearly formulated as 'partial refund'.

JP, Thanks for taking the time to explain that but it only took this line to sell me your program.. "If you like getting big results (like, 15 000 quality new backlinks a month) for minimal work, you'll love this."

I can't see how I could of miss understood! and I certainly don't have time to create 100 posts per month.. so point me to the refund link..

Brett, the thing is that you only need to create one post per month...and publish it with 1 click on 100 websites within your niche. If you don't have time to do this, then I am wondering why you even considered joining. Of course it takes 3 minutes of your time. But it can't really get simpler than that. If this is too much of your time, simply submit a ticket and we will refund your trial payment.

I suggest you check most of the latest CB and Plimus products to make a few billions overnight without lifting a finger. FreeTGen can't compete with that for sure.

@almin: we're protecting the results members get from the network, you're right.

In June, this network allowed 30,000 new web pages (from our members) to get indexed and receive traffic. Which means members using it for the purpose of getting traffic get results. That's really what matters to us. I am not here to convince anyone, nor to provide support, just to clear confusion. If you like the service, great, if you don't like it, great, if you don't want to join it, great.

    Hi JP,

I joined your service more than a month ago and I too was misguided into thinking that we get from 15,100 too 15,300 links per month (taking into consideration both the article links and the site wide links together), but anyway.

In any case there are still several questions that I would like to ask:

    1. How long does it take to get the site wide links distributed?
    2. Are all 15,100 to 15,300 links built on high PR sites?
    3. Do the article links and the site wide links get deleted if one cancels the service?
    4. Do you think that posting the same article in 100 different sites will have the same SEO effect as posting 100 different articles on 100 different sites? Similarly do you think that the duplicate articles will get indexed by Google?
    5. Does the satellite network with around 1000 extra content blogs (when it will be available) contain high PR blogs?
    6. Are the articles submitted to the existing network and satellite network (when it will be available) checked for quality (spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, etc.)?
    7. Don't you think that Google will find about the duplicate articles and the poorly written articles (unless they are checked for quality) and start de-indexing the sites in the network/s?

JP, The thing that concerns me is duplicate content pointing at my sites... This can have damaging effects.. Especially now..

I purposely haven't used my subscription this month, until I am satisfied and if I'm not I will be requesting a full refund..

I think rolling over unused posts is not a big ask each month, I'm a little time poor at the moment, because I'm hell busy in what is usually a quiet time for me in my offline business..

Looking forward to your answers to the above post...

However I would like someone else to interpret the following statements...

    From the Tgen Members Area

With your subscription you get 100 article credits and 50 site wide text link ad credits per month. If you need more "juice", you can purchase extra credits... simply click HERE.

and the sales pitch that sold me

"If you like getting big results (like, 15 000 quality new backlinks a month) for minimal work, you'll love this."

    What am I paying for???

Thank you JP and everybody for commenting. I am also an introductory member at the $79 first month rate. I personally find the system is incredibly easy to use as advertised. I also am time strapped but have been able to use the service easily in the 1 ti 3 hours a day I have available. However, I also thought that the offer of 15,000 links a month meant that each month you are allowed to post 15,000 links.

JP, the offer as stated in the sales material though clear to you was certainly not clear to me and probably not clear to many of the people reading your offer. It was certainly not clear to some of the contributors to this thread. You may want to consider clarifying the sales pitch. 15,000 links a month to me means 15,000 new links per month, not a fixed quota of 15,000 links during any given month.

I know you know what you mean, but the clarity of your understanding on the matter is not shared by all. As for continuing the membership, I'll make that decision based on the results of this trial month. So far, I like what I see, but I'm too new to draw any conclusions about the effectiveness of the system.

      HI JP,

I have consistently asked for a best practices guide so I can use your service and get the best results possible for the money I am paying.

      I was told...

"Take 2-3 articles from my website and use my 100 credits to post them all to your network."

In effect we may have 100 articles x 300 members flooding your network each and every month with 100% dup content.

How can this be good for your network or the links pointing back to my sites?

The reason I am posting here is that I am having difficulty getting answers from support, I know they may be busy...I haven't posted any links this month and just need an answer so I can get on with it.

Thanks JP...Looking fwd to your reply.

Yeah, I'm disappointed. Not only with the service, but your response to the customers in this thread.

I don't post much, but I've been on this forum a LONG time, making good money online. I wanted to post about this because of your replies.

I thought it was 15K PER MONTH and I was also lead to believe that the unused submissions did get rolled over. That may have been the affiliate that claimed that - (Niche Reaper guy) whom I hold partially responsible, since he did say that credits get rolled over. That was a big reason I signed up.

Too many other options mate. I'd rather do business with people that shoot straight about what they sell.

Mate if you do decide to jump out, make sure you do it in your first month, because there is NO refund after the first month...

Which is pretty piss poor seeing that you won't even know whet you are not getting until you have paid for your second month...

To be fair, this is not supposed to be a support forum for this or any other product. It's a place for Warriors to leave their reviews of the product. The product owners can stop by and comment if they want to, but they're not expected to, and in many cases it's better if they don't, since "review" threads tend to turn into advertising/support threads for the product. Not saying that's happening here, just commenting on the Review section in general.

              Agree with you Ken.

But listen... I am also a member by FreeTGen and I must say the ease of use is so nice and you gotta love it for it's potential... However the response from support desk has been hard to see. Reason? There are two member areas with support desks. Go to your gmail and lookup the information FreeTGen sent you. I got my support ticket answered but I am also a little bit confused.
              Why?
I think it has to do with a WOW factor. The system is so easy yet we have trouble reaching support. That leads to a lot of people jumping off the ship. Maybe because they believe it does not work.

To provide you guys with a full report on how well it works for my sites (IF it works, I think it does) I need to use it more to see some results.

Not saying it is good or bad yet.

The ONE program I have heard a lot of good from is TheLinkJuicer. However I hate spyntax and it does not feed me with enough links

              UPDATED!
I just cancelled my subscription with the program.
What happened was that I invested my money in another quality service WITH a good reputation
PM for details of what new service, or just ask in the thread.

Not exactly too convinced that the service was holding the standards I was hoping for... Reason?
I spoke to the help desk about my "missing" links which I ALSO thought I was getting each month... The helpdesk is slow but do answer... However they told me that my "credits" AKA links had been used for both June and July... What I did next was to go into members area and see for myself as they told me to do... To be honest I cannot see what they meant...

However there is no new links in August 12.

My take is Sayonara to that service before I get billed more without getting the 15k links EVERY MONTH! As we all were led to believe to get automatically.(more or less)

Sorry to see this happen though.

FTG ease of use is as simple as it gets but as I had a number of issues with a site dropping in Google, I needed a bit of advice about how to use the credits.

It really is a doddle to use but like others, I also was under the impression you had a new batch of 50 sitewide links each month.

I was also a bit worried about the duplicate content issue but JP put my mind at ease on this side of things with regards to the article links and how many articles to add into the system.

Now I'm going into month 2 and I've needed a bit of follow up support on my established site again but haven't heard anything back - I logged a support ticket about 6 days back on the FTG system but no response as yet.

I also logged a ticket on the Ethic Cash system about the same time and whilst checking the system today for a reply, I'm not getting the same usual help desk setup showing so I'm not sure what is up there ?

So like a Warrior mentioned above, I'm too at loggerheads as to whether to continue, especially with the lack of response from both support desks which for me, is not fair on paying members, especially at the price being charged per month.

Getting support and getting 1-to-1 SEO training are 2 different things. And while we support our service we do not offer individual coaching. Jane, with all due respects, we answered a lot of your questions during a month and then you kept going with either the same questions of general SEO questions which we can't handle through a support desk and which are not part of the service you purchased.

Now Ken was quite patient to remind how to use this board so I won't join this thread anymore. We have a support desk for support questions (related to the service). I understand some might want more, but this is not something we can offer on an individual basis.

Maybe someone else can confirm this..

I've just run a BL check, using Traffic Travis and noticed that most of the BL from freetgen are on 3 or 4 different domains coming from the same three ip addresses, everyone of the sites when checked are down.. (403 forbidden)..

My site that I was looking at was in the first pos. on G now it has been totally removed from the index... (AND I MEAN GONE) so I'm trying to work out why...

Maybe someone could shed some light please...

Fair enough JP on the SEO questions but my problem is the techie question which someone deleted from my account ... with regards to links I'd posted this month ... they'd disappeared out the system as my links did last month.

As I've a few issues with the support ticket system, that is why I raised a reply here.

I just seem to have trouble with support tickets vanishing from the system - perhaps you could PM me so I can ask you to look for the links I put into the system ?

Or if you prefer, I can PM you with the domains in question so you can do a search again for them ?

      Let me know.

This explains a lot. I signed up when Free T Gen first came out, and thought it was the cat's meow. My site went from around #47 to #5, almost instantly. Man, was I thrilled. Then, a few weeks later, it disappeared from Google's rankings. It's not even in the 1st 500 results anymore, and hasn't been for well over three months. It appears to have gotten deindexed, or if not quite (it still appears in Google if you search for the URL), close enough to render it completely worthless. I've been looking it up once a week or so ever since, just in case it was an extremely extended version of the Google dance, but here we are four months later, and after about 16 weekly searches up to about page 50 of the SERPs, I've given up. It's gone, and it's not coming back.

Obviously, I canceled my subscription, although I couldn't say for sure FTG got me kicked out of Google. But tonight I went back to their sales page, and if you look up all the examples that they're using to boast about the power of FTG, you'll find that several of the sites have met the very same fate as mine. They're gone from Google. Their EMD site bluetoothwebcamera.com doesn't appear anywhere in the first several pages when you search for "bluetooth web camera", and that's the case with several other of the testimonial sites. The only one that seems to still be ranking is "Euro Disney breaks"....

Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience. It confirms my suspicions that FTG is what killed my site. It's a shame, too, as it was a pretty competitive KW.

I got a link from a private forum I used to belong to with rave reviews about this. The sales letter/video was pretty compelling I must admit, but before I pushed the join button, I decided I'd better come here and get a "real" review on this service. I'm always nervous about getting sites de-indexed if I choose the wrong thing. Thanks once again Warriors for being straight about this. Doesn't seem worth it at all now.

I've been with FreeTGen since July. I've got good and bad to report.

I'm ranking in the top 10 on google with at least 9 terms. A few of them are quite competitive in the voice broadcasting industry.

I think there's more factors to why you're site would get dumped. An affiliate blog type of site is always at risk with google.

However my site is an authority site for a business service. It's steadily gaining.

With that said - the support is terrible. They don't respond in a timely manner. And my last few tries have garnered ZERO responses from them.

I'm considering finding a new backlinking service to replace this one as this has gotten very old.

After months of trying to get a response from FreeTGen support and JP Schoeffel (aka Ethiccash), and giving him the benefit of the doubt, I have to warn people to stay away from this "service." It has turned to junk.

While high PR blogs were promised, I could never get any of my articles on them, so I cannot even confirm if any really existed. I inquired about why this was, but never received an answer.

A couple of my sites that I was using FreeTGen for did well for a while, but now, it looks like they've been penalized for it and have tanked. It's as if the FreeTGen network was built for a Pre-Panda reality, but now, their network consists mostly of junk that you probably don't want to be associated with.

Users used to be able to see where their links were, on what blogs their links were, but that is no longer the case.

I was one of the unfortunate dupes who was swayed by an otherwise reputable JV'er to buy into the the Lifetime memberships. There has been no communication to the users at all. Support went dead months ago. It has been one of the worst investments of my IM career and would be extremely hesitant to throw money at promises by any other such networks in the future.

Lesson learned? At the very least, I would only buy a month to month membership and not hastily jump on a big ticket item with a short window for testing it out. E.g. a 30-day guarantee is not long enough to test this type of service. Also, don't always be overly impressed by IM'ers that you trust when they recommend something. It may be that they haven't really looked under the hood and are just on board because of the lure of profits. Promises such as "High PR" sites mean nothing unless verified.

Another warning, JP Schoeffel didn't even honor the 30-day guarantee for the product. I have to do the hassle raising dispute with my bank to get it back. I asked for a refund within the 30-day guarantee period, but no response at all.
