What is The Best PPC Course Out There?

I'm not new to PPC, I've been doing it for a while but I'm not great at it. At best I usually just break even so its been valuable as a testing tool but thats about it.

I'm a full time IMer and not new to this at all.

Anyone have a suggestion for an affordable course that I should check out?

Thanks in advance.

I find that you fully implement Gahaur Chaudrey's method is quite involved and complex. You seem to need a good understanding of Excel pivot tables to properly leverage his tactics.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[388035].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author madison_avenue
Thanks for that reply Steve, yes he uses the excel pivot tables to find the best ROI and hence best candidates to ramp up his ad spend on. It's interesting that you say that advanced knowledge of excel is not required, which makes more of an appeal for me I think he offers to supplies detailed instructions on how to use the system as well. As an advanced Excel user you definitely have head start though! He claims to earn 150k a month so he must be doing something right. I will look out for the new release of PPC formula you flagged up.

The only PPC training I can recommend is Campaign Blast by Matt Levenhagen. He has lot of video series covering a lot of thing about PPCing without selling your shirt

I started with $100 and I learned a lot and make break even in my first month learning. He make it so simple and detail.

Before that, I don't even dare to open an Adwords Account.

The most important thing is, the forum where Matt and his team attend which make all your question answered by an answered and not by guessing.

    Just my 2 cents

Before plopping down your hard earned money on Google PPC products, I encourage everyone to do the smartest (and cheapest) thing first.

      Learn from "Google" themselves.

They want you to make money and have put in a bunch of tools and resources to help you out. Read their stuff, follow it to a "T", and see how it works.

Once you've got all your fill from Google, then, and only then would I search out some PPC gurus. It's really not that hard of a game to play if you just follow the rules.

However, it seems many people want ways to skirt around terms of service and want to abuse the rules. That may work for a while, but keep in mind that "account history" has a HUGE factor in your adwords prices.

So before you listen to the next greatest Adwords Guru, I'd make sure their advice is in line with exactly what Google wants. If not, you may be wasting time and money for a short term hustle.

I know Google isn't the most transparent company at all times, but they really do want to help you.

      And, their help is FREE!

        These are great points Jason,

It is important to try and deliver what Google wants when optimizing a campaign. If you satisfy the quality and relevance you are a long way ahead.

I might respectfully add that there are a few things they don't tell you that can make quite a difference when you get down to tin tacks. They still like people to consume ad words if you know what I mean....

I equate this to your video training series that teaches people how best to leverage video within the platforms they provide.

My suggestion for an affordable PPC course that you should definitely check out is Perry Marshall's 'The Definitive Guide To Adwords'. This course put me IMMEDIATELY in profit with my PPC campaign. I mean, profits within hours! But as I stated elsewhere, another reason for my success was because I had access to billions of keywords (I will keep the source private to avoid competition). But without Perry's course, even having billions of keywords will not help that much without knowing how to do PPC the right way.

I'd like to throw some weight behind James Schramko's DoubleDigitCTR. It follows an actual campaign from start to finish, from researching a niche, finding, tweaking and tracking keywords, getting the settings right, emotive language in ads, refining ads. It will finely tune your PPC campaigns to get laser targeted traffic.

The continuing support provided by James is great (I tried to type "unparallelled", but it doesn't look right?)

Perry marshall has lots of good stuff out on adwords, read his books, understand what he says and take action. The only real way to get ahead with adwords is to run campaigns, test, tweak, and repeat.

Once you get the hang of it, why not attend google seminars and further your education and get deeper within adwords.

Adwords is something that you must keep working with on a daily basis, keep doing this and you'll discover plenty of hidden golden nuggets.

ppc classroom and ppc formula are both great programs. PPC formula is steered more towards marketing CPA (lead) offers with ppc and ppc formula would likely go into pay per view marketing too in the new version. PPC classroom started with focus on promoting sales offers with ppc, however has now grown into other aspects like promoting CPA offers.

Other than that the pricing is bit different with PPC Classroom and PPC Formula. PPC classroom is a monthly recurring cost, whereas PPC Formula is one time fee (most likely something like $2,000). So if you look at it over a years time both will work out to pretty much the same cost.

this is a concern with classroom and one of the reasons i like formula better. i've read from a few posts that once in classroom one of the big upsells is a $200/month higher-level forum where the best advice is given. supposedly it's one of those things where "u can do it with the help from that forum but if u really want to succeed u need to join this forum..." again, this is just what i read.

PPC is a bit risky business. I lost like $70 to get $40 sales. Thats $30 loss.If you spend $7000 and get $4000 in sales, then you are out of like $3000. Its much more about making a profit and then scaling it up. I recommend using different PPC programs. Adbrite, Google Adwords, MSN and Yahoo are all good affiliate programs.

I'll recommend Creg Cesar (google czar). He's one of the best adwords/ ppc expert. Check it out---> The Adwords Dominator (don't worry is not an affiliate link. Creg didn't pay me for doing this

Besides that, google cash system by chris carpenter is also great stuff.

You can also try Wealthy Affiliate University by Kyle and Carson ---> WealthyAffiliate.com - The Wealthy Affiliate University or
PPC Coach by Will Haimerl ---> PPC Coach :: Even Tiger Woods Has A Swing Coach...Can't You Use a PPC Coach? (again there's no affiliate link here and they don't pay me for this free advertisment)

Or if you wanna find out other ppc products go to http://www.ppcmarketingreviews.com (mostly clickbank products)

PPC Classroom is also one of the best course nowdays. It's conducted by Amit Metha & Anik Singal. But unfortunetly registration is now closed. But i think you can e-mail them and ask if you can get in. Email amit personally, give it a try. go to Super Affiliate Mindset or ppcclassroom.com

You made $40 and lost $70 straight out the gate? That's very promising in the beginning of a campaign.

You should keep going and optimize. Split test ads, remove unprofitable campaigns and keep adding more backend follow-ups and you should quickly become profitable.

I agree with Jason. In no way am I a PPC master or guru but here's my 2 cents.

People try to over complicate PPC. It's not hard to make money with PPC you just have to have enough balls to do it and keep at it.

I hate all this SEO stuff, I know I shouldn't, but when you can pay 100 bucks and make 200 it just seems better than SEO, right?

    Here's exactly what I do.

1)Contact my AM and say something like, "Hey man, what's the hottest campaigns this week? And what's their EPC's?"

2)Do a little research on the top campaigns. (all the research tools are so unreliable don't waste your time on going in depth with them, just go to the google adwords cost estimator and double what ever it tells you will get position 4.)

3)If the price looks right make a simple webpage as a landing page. Simple converts best even if it's painful to your eyes. Remember that your goal isn't to get people to click through it's to get the right people to click through. Give them the benefits not the features and back up the benefits with logic.

EX: Imagine just taking an **** supplement and loosing 20 pounds, and since it's all natural there is no reason that you can't do this every month. Right?

    4) Get a tracking program to see what keywords are converting and which ones aren't (This is super important.)

    5) Split test atleast 5 ad variations and find the best.

    6) If your super into getting the biggest bang for your buck than rotate your landing pages to find the best converting one. (I don't really do this too much)

Most of these courses simply expand on each of these steps and maybe through in a golden nugget of info. (which usually is just some work around that'll last for a month.)

    This stuff is simple, seriously.

Sometimes you run into areas where the big dogs are at play and you'll loose some money. But just move on.

Remember only about 1 in 4 campaigns will usually be super profitable. So maybe your first one won't be a home run, but just keep at it.

    Zach
