Has anyone tested out "the Traffic Brain" by Howie Schwartz?

According to the sales pitch it purports to automatically:

.. Submit your sites to up to 900 link directories

... Builds, hosts and submits your RSS feeds to up to 80 RSS directories

... Sumbits your sites to up to 400 classified ad boards

... Bookmarks your sites on up to 100 social bookmark sites

Also, this software links to a private network of 400 special sites Google loves. I can't reveal exactly what in this letter because then the whole world would know and that wouldn't be fair to you.

However, what makes me a little leery at the top of the sales page it says "beta testers wanted".

Is this the new paradigm? Having marketers pay to test and work out the bugs of new software?

At any rate, I would appreciate any unbiased reviews.

    Just looking at this now and did the usual WF search...

    IMO building links so fast is not a good idea as you leave a big footprint..though you can choose to turn it down..

    I just got an email promoting this. The sales page says you can become a "beta tester" and one of the select few "savvy marketers" who get first access before market release. If this is in beta, why should we pay full price test it for him? Like you said Maverick, it's either a new paradigm or an added unethical tactic to dupe prospects into buying.

    Over my career, I've beta tested a lot of products and have never been asked to pay for the privilege. It will be interesting to see how long he's asking for beta testers.

    There are three tiers of pricing but then there are fees per credit used so you have to add the price of the credit to the monthly fee.

    Not to sound cynical, but unless I hear much to change my mind, I'll pass on this new piece of magic.

    That's just marketing. It appears to work on newbies as I've seen it done a few times on those Clickbank one click make a million dollar software... Oops! I mean apps... Well that's what they call them now.

    Guess it just makes it look like you've got a exclusive invite to try out something nobody got access to before.

    Well if you can ton it down so you aren't building 500 links per day then it will have some power. While we think, and it's probably, true that google doesn't value a ton of links built fast, it will help you rank.

      Here is a response I got from support when I questioned why some of they campaigns were not completed yet, started them on the 11th.

      "...takes several days to 2 weeks to complete a project based on your submitted project volume and overall tool usage. This is good, as you do not want all your links blasted in one hour. The goal is not to blast all links in one day. You want to spread them out a bit like the system does."

      I think, so far anyway, that this is a super link building process. I will let you know when my urls reach top 5.

    I purchased a few days ago and it is great! Super easy and it is building links every day. Your credits are included in your monthly service, you can purchase extra if you want. If any of the links that you set up do not go through the credits are added back into your account, which is super fair as far as I can see. I tried SENuke and SENukeX, Evo and a couple of other tools with dismal success, lots of work, low link success and they are really spammy IMO. Not all of the links are built in one day, I started my campaign on the 11th and it is still building links. The majority are done and typically the directory links get done first. So far I am seeing the urls that I put in the TB are moving up 2, 4, 7, and 11 places after just a few days. I will keep you posted on how it goes, but for now I am going to continue -- it is the best linking tool I have found.

      You can upgrade if you want. I first purchased Gold and I just upgraded to Platinum. They cancel your smaller account so you do not get rebilled and then you only have the larger account. All your link records are there you just have a larger amount of credits.

    The way it is now Tim , you can simply just buy more credits. The more you buy the cheaper each credit is. I think Howie will always have some deal going and or abl to upgrade, etc...you know how that goes.

    I really like the simplicity and you also get a 30 day guarantee so no risk. Not a bunch of work, find out you wasted time and then get money back, so easy!

    Just started using it. 2 urls are new and not ranked and 1 is ranked pretty high but I'd like to go from #4 or #5 to #2 or #1.

    Question to people that use TB right now. Are you using the maximum amount of credits per url? For example. we can do 800 link directories or something but I don't always pick all of them?

    Social publishing? Howie isn't too forthcoming with what that consists of? Is it blogs? Facebook spam pages?

    Do we see a report once they start building so we can see our urls in action?

    I am using the max and also sending to sub pages on some. Not sure bout the social pub yet either...they just mention it's kinda unique or something like that. I think I will ask on a ticket later.

    I think this may be winner, as I have seen some of my sites rise up the serp's already, but I'm using other link building resources as well. What I can say, is these guys provide a ton of credits, and I mean a ton, at the $97 membership. I don't think I can use them all so, I may downgrade my membership if possible.

    I have gone for the gold package, which was the only one available. It says you are limited to 8 URLS, but this turns out to be untrue. Also, the other packages appear to be available after you order the gold one. You can also buy a bunch of extra links. I've started a number of projects and have the Brain doing its thing as we speak, so will report back if anything interesting happens. There is a 30-day guarantee so if I see no results, I'll be making use of it. Seems a pretty safe trial to me.

    I gave it a try. Web based. Total mystery to me what it was doing. Saw no evidence of any links in my tracking tools.

    The very first follow up email I got from Howie was "what to do if Google throws you out". Didn't find that too reassuring.

    Have asked for my money back. Been offered extra credits instead. Not taking them.

      Thanks for the feedback. I was really hoping it'd be legit too. Maybe you just didn't give it enough time? I use Matt laclears seo wso a lot and most of the links do not show up in link tracking tools, however he gives you a Pen name to find them on google via a search and they're there for sure. Maybe this system uses a network like that and they're just not showing up via conventional methods?

      I'm getting some pingbacks from various social bookmark sites ( under the radar book marking sites), but when i check my links in yahoo, I see many links from directories.

      I have seen significant movement in the serfs (page 3-page 1 #10) on one of my websites, that isn't that competitive for one of my main keywords.

      So far, I think I'm happy with this service, but i' m a bit leery on how long a service like this will work, as it is to easy to use it as a spamming tool, and I don't think you can spin the content, or at least I haven't.

      The best thing that I like about this tool, is the fact that you can backlink your inner pages, videos, feeder sites etc., and integrate it all with your overall seo campaigns.

        Interesting because I don't get any ping backs. Might I be trying for too competitive keywords? It's possible but some are very low search volume but niche and I'm not seeing much movement at all.

    At a first sight it seems too good to be true. But than again, some positive experiences
    feed the hope... the never dying hope most of us live with ,that a dreamed 'magic marketing tool' finally will be discovered.

      Yeah I think it's cool, but I wouldn't use it as a stand alone, but it can be ustilized effectivly, along with other seo resources (blog networks, manual link building, guest posts, etc.) I wouldn't reccomend,blasting links to one domain, as I did that (which I should know better not to) and my site isn't indexed anymore, but it actually landed a number 4 listing on Yahoo and Bing, I purchase a edu pack as well, so I think it was a combination of the two, but Ijust might have went to aggressive with it as those rankings are nolonger there.

      So, to sum things up, intergrate with your overall marketing and go light (make it look natural).

        Thanks a lot, you're right. Good marketing strategy should be thought out anyway, with or without this (or any other) particular tool. Meaning , nothing without firing up our own brain at the first place

    I think the TB might be useful with other back linking methods but to be honest that isn't what it's marketed as. I was looking for something to elevate a few extra urls per month without having to manually build back links or sit at the computer for a half hour or so while a few of my programs built them.

    I started using the Gold level on the 16th of Aug. Yes... lots of links... but all to sites that are worthless... many in foreign languages (Russian/Arabic/Spanish and more)... on free add sites that are mice type with listings about anything and everything... (not niche specific)...

    I haven't cancelled yet as I am waiting another week to see if any better results. I have had no additional opt-ins from this resource...

    I am using Traffic Brain (Silver) but I should have got the Gold package...
    In fact there is no limit to the number of URL's as you are only limited by your balance of credits.

    Each campaign will consume a maximum of 2,120 credits-depending on which options you choose to spend your credits on. You can purchase additional credits from the membership dashboard-but if you don't use them, you lose them-be warned!

    I no longer waste my precious time on backlinking, not that I ever did that much as it's such a stupid measure of a sites worth to visitors just because a site is on page 1 does not mean it provides value or even quality-Spin(En)glish rules?

    Who wants a thousand versions of an article when the first one is pure gibberish?

    If anyone wants to check their website ranking for free (As Traffic Brain does not track anything apart from the number of actual credits used which could be less that the 2,120 I mentioned earlier) Get SEO Rank Reporter an excellent WP Plugin and FREE as well. I have set up one of my WP sites with all of my TB campaign URL's and keywords, to save having to visit each site to check the current ranking.

    For me this is the ideal setup as I can see at a glance where my sites are ranking and any movement up or down. SEO Rank Reporter checks every 3 days and if you want the advantage of a graph showing the trend then you will have to install the plugin on each site.

    Back to TB-I currently have 5 sites on page 1 and two for two different keywords! Of course I have more sites that I will plugin to TB that are currently outside of the 100th position but at least I can see where my article writing efforts are needed-much more pleasurable than building backlinks...

      Practical Q:
      after signing up can you go there and set up URLs/campaigns one after another until you spend up all your (monthly) credits and TB will work out those campaigns until they are all done ?
      If so, well worth trying out. Pretty much exactly 'set and forget' as they say.

        after signing up can you go there and set up URLs/campaigns one after another until you spend up all your (monthly) credits and TB will work out those campaigns until they are all done ?

        Bearing in mind that I bought into the traffic brain on 11th August 2011 and set up a campaign for the keyword "master fishing rods" it's currently on page 1 position 3 of google.com and position 2 on google.pl)

        The traffic brain campaign was set up with 2120 credits which were consumed over a period of 21 days. Before that this site was lower than page 10 (Max 100 URL's are searched by SEO Rank Reporter)

        Visits to this site are up at an all time high after nearly 3 weeks in the doldrums as one can see from the chart below-sorry I had to scratch the chart as the formatting fell apart when copied...

        Another rising star is "everlasting dog treats" which was set up on 11th September 2011 with 2,120 credits and is still running -it's currently page 1 position 1 on google.pl and position 1 on google.com-above amazon!

        This site is all my own work regards content so I am well pleased.

        It' a pity that I can't show you some screenshots...but if you search for these keywords you will see for yourself!

        I had virtually given up any hope of getting on page 1 ever, as I had done all the on-page SEO things so now I will continue setting up campaigns at 10 minutes a throw while pursuing other avenues of internet marketing

          3 domains are in the top positions as you described :
          * nextag.com for both keywords and
          * 2 domains exactly matching your mentioned keywords in domain names.
          I would guess the later ones are yours ?

            In fact I am enjoying this thread as I can write as I find and so far there are no negatives for me. Thanks for the compliments!

            I think I forgot to mention that the traffic brain works over a three period for each campaign and the credits allocated and applied turn green-any numbers in black are still to be applied.

            There is a video included showing how to set up a campaign but I would have preferred a PDF as I like to refer back from time time-it's irritating to have view a video over and over just to find the info!

            I was cautious about applying the maximum number of credit per campaign on my first few attempts but I realise that they are there to be used and in any event submissions to directories, social sites and classified ad boards etc are not necessarily published all at once. I think Howie knows his stuff when it comes to SEO on-page and off!

            Something to bear in mind is a fully optimised website page with original content is a prime candidate for a back linking campaign.

            I look forward to comparing notes with you and hearing about your progress!

                I am now promoting the traffic brain (gold) on my new website with the keywords "the traffic brain review" as an affiliate even though there are only twenty spots left... as I know the traffic brain is working for me!

          I've been using The Traffic Brain since June of 2011.
          It pulls traffic, I'll post the stats from some of my authority sites below.

          I haven't used it to heavily on my Authority sites, but it does work.
          I've just recently started using it to pull traffic to videos I've posted & to affiliate links and I should start seeing results next month.

          It takes a good month to start seeing good traffic.

                Is anyone still using this tool and getting any value from it since I see lots of talk and then it just dropped off. It would seem if this tool was working we would see people praising it for its simplicity and value but nothing has shown up in this thread.
                I get leery when only one or 2 folks posts results yet a tool is sold to thousands of users.
                Any comments from anyone?

                  I had never heard of this product until today when I got a sales email. I bought it and was pretty impressed that I was able to set up a project in about 2 minutes and already a lot of submissions have been done (about an hour later).

                  I really like that it is all automated and am keeping my fingers crossed it will give my site a boost. I have reviewed the software at twirlie.com.au and will update it when I see results (or if I don't). I have actually used The Traffic Brain to promote my post about The Traffic Brain, so that will be interesting.

                  I hope it works. It will be a refreshing change to all the dud products out there.

    Regarding Beta Testers-It is a popular and practical way to market a product on the internet as a beta usually reveals the bugs etc by virtue of the number of beta testers out there bringing to light any problems which may not show up in the developers tests.

    With the variations of browsers available in a multitude of setups on computers modified in some way or other by other software etc users (Beta Testers) can flag up suggestions and fixes required for the next upgrade/update.

    Thousands of products are bought from the WSO's on the Warrior Forum as a beta and the users benefit from the improved serviceability by virtue of a beta test-even to the extent that the product has more features/benefits added for no extra charge!

    As for an unbiased view you can read my earlier comments as to the effectiveness of the traffic brain.

      Hi n30,

      How long did you wait for your projects to complete? It usually takes 3 weeks and in the meantime you can monitor your websites page ranking using SEO Rank Reporter a Wordpress plugin (free) there are other tools but with this one you could monitor all your projects on one WP installation.

      As I have said in previous posts I never bother to look for my backlinks as I am more interested in results, like what position is my webbpage on Google!

      And I have never used more than one "blast" for the same keywords to get a page 1 ranking (Positions 1,2 & 3) If you monitor progress every 3 days you will see where you are from page 10 upto page 1 but don't expect instant results you will only discourage yourself...

      I used this tool, it seems like it works, but it's tough to know, because they do not provide a list of links created and no links show up in any backlink tools, so I stopped using it after all the new Google updates. I am skeptical of Howie's backlink tools, because they all seem the same and show no proof of backlinks being created and they do not show up anywhere.
