Has anyone else had a hard time getting a refund from the people behind www.theleadportal.com

I've sent two e-mails starting 72 hours ago, so I think it is fair that I bring this up as I haven't heard anything back from either of the emails. This is very disconcerning becuase they offer a 2 week money back guarantee - here it is directly from their site and I have not heard a peep...



If someone can tell me who to e-mail I would appreciate it,

      I have received an e-mail response that my refund is underway (but I may have to wait a week+ for it to hit). To answer your question here is why I've requested a refund:

      1 - My initial download was an outdated version and I had to wait 24 hours for someone to send me the updated one manually. (This normally isn't a huge deal but when you hand over $800 and don't get the right product right away I think it is)
      2 - There is no membership area where I can talk with others to see what they are doing, in fact there really isn't a whole lot of anything in terms of documentation or examples of this program in action... they seem to use webinars for teaching but you have to wait until they hold one (which for now seems to be 2 weeks apart from one another).
      3 - It only sources leads from CL.
      4 - $1,500 price tag (ouch)

      The sad truth is that I won't have the opportunity to really see what I can do with this by using "their" techniques because right now the only way to learn is by a webinar which isn't being presented timely. By the time they have upgraded this product to make it worth the money they will likely be sold out of the copies and I don't like gambling so I'm going to have to cash out, sit back and see what they do from here on out.

      BTW - this lead portal supposedly has an affiliate program for purchasers and I haven't seen that, so I haven't even been able to try to make some dough that way... I feel like I either missed some major information or this info just isn't being put out there... strange.

    Hi there,

    I would definitely recommend speaking with your local MP or maybe consumer advice. I know there is a place to go about internet related issues but unfortunately I cannot think where. I am sure the above will be able to point you in the right direction.

    The good thing is that you have an opportunity to warn others of that service as you have had a bad experience. Word of mouth travels fast, especially bad news/info.

    Also if you paid via PayPal they maybe be able to help you however, they may class this as fraud. My opinion is to try and make contact first before a purchase and to avoid single owned sites such as the one in question. Try to go for a website that is established, professional and is part of an reputable company.

    I know the above information comes a little late but we all learn from past experiences, like myself. I was also in your position. All I can say is it will be very difficult to get your money back, but most people have. All I can say is push as much as possible as there is a principle at stake.

    Hi.

    It was a bit disconcerting to read your unfavorable report regarding your refund request problems with the guys at Lead Portal because I'd every intention of buying this software. In fact, I still want to buy it but I'd really like to know what you found to be the problem with this software that you needed to request a refund.

    Does it not do what it says it can?
    Are there restrictions on the number of daily mailings I can make?

    I really need to know and will be grateful for any solid evidence that this software is just a waste of time.

    Sorry to hear about your plight. What I have started doing before I order a program of substantial cost is to get contact information -- and then contact them -- to see how easy (or hard) it is to get support when you need it. If it checks out, I feel more confident in ordering the product.

    Items I request include: name, address, contact email address, phone number and support information. If they are not willing to supply contact information before I buy their product, they don't deserve my hard-earned money. Period.

    One of my friend also requested a refund for same product,he is still waiting though.

    There are couple of similar software in market which do the same as lead Portal.

      Yes there are many and infact there are free one's too. I found one for $30 online when I was looking into alternatives and it was 100 times more powerful then this one and for a fraction of the price. Anyway, I was successful at getting a refund so hopefully your friend was too.

    I also have Lead Portal, and I have to be honest, I have had great luck. The guys are always very quick to answer questions and provide many online sessions to discuss its use. I would be interested in seeing the cheaper options that onthers in this thread have found

    I purchased leadportal program, could not get the software to work, sent several e-mails with no response. Eventually Steve Iser sent me an e-mail saying they had to fire Ronald, their tech. support guy and so they had no help. He asked me what the problem was, I sent him the list of the problems and never heard from him. I had let my 30 days expire with the hope that someone would give me assistance and would eventually make the program a success but they didn't. I was talking to someone who is familiar with these kind of things and he said you could try to call your bank or credit card and see if you can get a charge-back.
