Clickbank Verse Rapbank In A No Holds Barred UFC Fight Who Wins?

Well obviously this cannot really happen but I thought it would be a good analogy. Who do you prefer doing business with and why? Who would be your winner in this duel of the digital heavyweights?

Contestant Number#1 Rapbank

Positives: Rapbank is obviously a lot smaller but they have a lot of great selling 100% commission products that you can promote with low refunds, and instant payments which is nice. You also cannot buy through your own affiliate link which is another big bonus for me this in itself saves you a lot of potentially lost commissions.

Negative: You have to take care of your own refunds which really is no big deal.

Contestant Number#2 Clickbank

Negatives: Refunds are a lot higher from my experiences, you can also buy through your own affiliate link which sucks for affiliates. This translates into a lot of potentially lost commissions. You have to wait a week or two to get paid depending on what your payment method is.

Pro's: The commissions are a lot higher than Rapbank with all the upsells etc..... The products are a lot more professional ( million dollar sales pages ) which means they will sell a little easier.

Conclusion: For me it is a tie I use both of them. They both have there pluses and minuses.

Who is your winner?

(it's kinda like having GSP vs. Brock Lesnar.)

GSP is faster, arguably better cardio, and pays off faster, but Brock is 150 lbs heavier and ultimately more reliable in the fight.

Why not have both in your corner?

    :p

It seems like for the most part you determined your own winner.

Question, how are you figuring the commissions to be higher on CB? Isn't there a limit?

As far as the 'million dollar sales pages', most of the ones I have seen of late are carbon copies of the previous 'next big thing'. A bit different hype, but same basic layout, design, images, etc.

Not real impressive since I am not buying a 'sales' page.

I will say this, the last 2 products I set up for clients on CB were real nail biters. Too many hoops for my taste..

Anyway, my prize goes to RAP Bank.

    Thanks,

    John

Excellent topic. I've never tried RAP Bank but I like the lower refund stats if that's true.

The thing with CB is - I never hear about anyone needing to hire a consultant to design and set it up.

No I did not determine a winner it is a toss up for me. I just pointed up the ups and downs of both affiliate programs.

As far as the sales page goes that is a very important element in the sales process like it or not. If it looks highly professional people are more willing to part with their money.

Look at all the crap that sells just because of a well designed sales page. The sales page is a very important part of getting the initial sale. You just have to hope the product delivers on the promises.

Sorry, but the proof is in the pudding. Just because the sales page looks 'professional' doesn't guarantee the product is of the same value.

CB would KO Rapbank in the first 5 seconds. Why? Their affiliate network. Their affiliate network is like Fedor in his prime fighting a 12 year old Uriah Faber. Or Overeem fighting a school girl. There's simply no comparison in that regard, not even close.

The Clickbank affiliate numbers are inflated; I hold 10 accounts because I want to keep thing separated - I like my privacy. Im sure many other people have more than one account.

Also, even though they claim to have 100,000 affiliates - how many of those are actually active, and producing a tangible amount of sales?

Even with their inflated numbers Rapbank's affiliate network still doesn't compare in sheer size and production. Secondly, you don't think people have more than one Rapbank account? It's not only done on CB.

I love RapBank! I no longer promote Clickbank to my list, only RapBank. I had to stop promoting Clickbank as the refund rate was astronomical (like 40%).

Rapbank products are mostly MRR and PLR, but there are stil some great products there. There are also a lot of originals.

I guess Clickbank has tightened the reins recently, but that is something that should have happened a long time ago. Some of the sales page copy is absolutely out of control.

And, you can' beat gettig instant commissions to your Paypal account!

    Count my vote for Rapbank!

I was checking out RapBank after reading this thread and the first impressions is it's a little more "Ghetto" if you know what I mean.... Well compared to Clickbank anyway.

I've already seen one product I'm gonna promote because I know it's quality but like the other poster said above - there is a lot of PLR there.

Man, what a battle. I found Rap bank to be more user friendly and easy-to-use, while Click Bank has some weird affiliates links, and I can't even remember if that's possible to track the links. lol, I didn't use it much time by the time I tried it, it was very weird, while rap bank was straight to the point, I could even easily contact publishers, one of them even replied me when I asked a suggestion about making my website more attractive to sales. Rap bank is a very cool affiliates network, you just have to choose the product wisely.
