This product is from Nathan Anderson from SEOClub. Web address is www.NextGenLinks.com Anybody have any experience with this? Seems like a link farm type of deal, which makes me leary about using it on my important sites.

Well - I signed up at the WSO. Only a few bucks - what the heck!
It is basically the usual idea: you link to someone who doesn't link back to you. This program gives you *some* power over who you want to link to (other programs usually don't).

This thing has had some technical problems in spite of their fancy interface. Maybe they will get them fixed.

SEO-problem is the usual: it leaves a typical footprint on your site. (The founder flatly denies this, but then he assumes the Google bot is dumber than IE Explorer!)

      Thanks Sunnyman,

Yeah, that's what i thought. I think in the near future, Google is going to be cracking down on things like this. And i DON'T want 9 months of work on my sites to go down the tubes because of something like this.

I was thinking of testing it on a dummy site to see the results, but i think i'll just pass altogether. Not worth it..

      Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd chime in and clear the air.

I'm the owner and developer of Nextgenlinks.com, Nathan is a good friend and promoter, maybe too good of a promoter

NGL is not a link farm, and it is not your typical link exchange software.

In it's most basic form, it's a platform to introduce your inner pages to the relevant inner pages on other members sites.

You place a few links on your pages, that contain very relevant content to that page linking to another members page that is also very relevant to yours.

In return you have others members linking to your pages in the same fashion.

For SEO purposes the outbound links on your pages are limited to 5 at the most, while inbound links are unlimited.

Our software makes this very easy to do, it's called deep linking and it is a very neglected form of SEO because it is difficult and very time consuming.

Which is also why deep links are the best possible links to have. To even further enhance the deep links we have created the Contextual deep links snippet and plugin. Contextual and Deep links.

There is no footprint. Nothing that links back to Nextgenlinks. Even the WP plugin and widgets have a unique name on each install and are untraceable.

PS. I would never insult the G-bot by comparing it to IE

I welcome your questions and comments.

      Charles

OK, you say those widgets are unique on each site - sounds good. Yes, I wonder if they are SO unique that BigG. won't detect a pattern. Who knows...

In any case: we can safely assume that the G-bot *parses* that code (like even IE does) even though it doesn't show up in the final html you see when you hit "view source" in the browser.

Hope you get these these tech problems ironed out, btw.

    UPDATE:
Looks like things have gone downhill.

I tried adding a site to the system just now, and there was the same old problem with the spider as last week.

Difference now: I couldn't even get the Support system to work - it returned a "Fatal Error" when I submitted the ticket!
I signed up at the WSO, and when first using the system the spidering worked fine for the first few URLs, then stopped working - returned "0 urls". I recall this was after I tried entering a few urls at the same time at Step 1. Now, about 10 days later I try it again with a different URL. SAME result: spider finds NO urls - on a blog with 100s of posts! I installed the other spider, which runs from my PC - SAME result!
    The site is /snipped/

The spider stops at redirects too early (one haha) and seems to want to append a "/" to everything, so it chokes on my SEO wordpress blogs. Charles has been very responsive and says it will be fixed soon. They had the same problem on snippets, but that's fixed now.

I've added around 9 domains just submitting CSV files I created or already had. Adding outbound links for each URL is somewhat cumbersome, but Charles has already said that an automatic-say-no-if-you-dont-want-it process is coming soon.

I imagine the contextual wordpress plugin won't leave any footprint as it is supposed to make links directly from the content, but I haven't figured out the trick to get it working it.

So, all in all it's a young product, but promising.

Update: Well, in all fairness -- I tried again, and finally made it work reasonably well even on a WP blog!

I guess this may have some promise once they fix these bugs.
And I like the ability to avoid linking to crap sites.

The thing I am still not convinced of is the "lack of footprint"...

Any idea how many different types of sites are currently in the network? I have several affiliate sites that promote hard goods. I'm wondering if most of the sites in nextgenlinks are more IM related, or if there is a good mix of all types of sites. I don't want to join and have almost no relevant links coming in.

Since the promotion started in this forum, in the beginning there are likely more IM sites than sites from other niches.

The more members NGL gets, the more niches will be present.

I have been using it for several weeks now and I'm impressed. Right now I have 40 backlinks to pages on my main site that are a perfect match to each page's topic.

The ability to control in- and out going links manually or have them created on autopilot makes it a good system for everybody.

Personally I chose to manage everything manually because it gives me full control over matching the links to the topic of my page. No doubt that this is a huge SEO advantage.

Thanks Ralf. Would you say most of your sites are IM related? Or do you have sites promoting consumer goods as well? I like the idea of nextgenlinks a lot and will likely give it a shot.

I joined Nextgenlinks a few days ago, mainly because it was being recommended by Willie Crawford, and there's a two week free trial at the moment which is long enough to test it out properly.

I haven't come across any problems so far and if you have any issues you can just post in the forum and the owner answers questions very quickly. It's very easy to implement (and I'm a complete technophobe).

I've been checking what types of sites are in the system and I've found that if you've got sites in the really popular niches e.g. weight loss, acne etc you won't have a problem getting links. If your niche is smaller or more obscure you might not be able to get relevant links just yet, however the range of niches will grow as more members join. There does seem to be more IM sites than any other at the moment.

I like the way you can pick and choose your links, and the links I've got so far are very targetted. I won't be able to get relevant links for all my sites yet, but I'm going to stick with it for the moment and see how things go.

It will disappear but if you paid them a small fee they will let you retain the links.

I have been using NextGenLinks for about six months...well I don't remember exactly when I started, but it was right after it became available.

    Here are my stats:
Blog - Inbound Views / Unique Inbound / Outbound Views / Unique Out
    Blog 1.....752 ............... 563................. 13677...................11694
    Blog 2.....579............... 568................. 23461...................18407

Blog - Inbound clicks / Unique In / Outbound clicks / unique out
    Blog 1.....611...............378...................605. ............372
    Blog 2.....327...............997..................1313. ............988

I wish I could tell you that this has made a difference. I am sure it has, but I cannot quantify the improvement nor can I attribute it to NextGenLinks.

I am considering saving the $37 per month, but I am afraid of what will happen when they take the links away.

    Any thoughts?
