Is Anyone Using Article Builder?

I'm wondering if anyone is using "Article Builder" the new product from Jon Leger. I am pretty interested in purchasing it, but I wanted to hear from more experienced guys who might see drawbacks that I am missing.

Thanks,
Cade

Yeah, I've been using Article Builder since it came out a few days ago. Generated articles are surprisingly decent quality and perfect for link building purposes. Submitted several of these articles (with some modifications) to both Build My Rank and Linkamotion and all were approved.

As long as Jon keeps adding more categories and content I think it's going be a killer product.

      ChrisFX,
Thanks. That's exactly the kind of information I was looking for. Please let us know how things are going with your strategy.

I appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

I have actually just started testing article builder myself and I have to agree with chrisfx at the moment its looking very good. There are several features including the tips/injecting new material into old plr system which is very interesting.

The few articles I have produced so far passed copyscape and the quality was very good. I will be doing more extensive testing over the coming weeks but for now I think its certainly a great resource for those of us who need tons of content especially for SEO purposes etc.

      Rylan,
Thanks for the insight. Passing CopyScape was definitely a fear I had, but you and ChrisFX don't seem to lose much sleep over it. How good is the quality? Could you submit an article to a high-level directory, or do you use that content for linking from places like Web 2.0 sites?

I appreciate you taking the time to provide some detailed observations. Thanks. Good luck on that SEO.

Just to update my first reply, I did recently have a couple of ArticleBuilder generated post rejected for duplicate content on BMR.

But I just spent a couple of minutes re-editing the articles and I was able to get them approved again after resubmitting.

Quality-wise, they usually read reasonably well, but you have to account for the fact they're not unique.

Don't think they would get accepted into EzineArticles as is...but if you took the time to edit them properly you could probably get them to pass.

More outstanding observations. Thank you for keeping all of us updated as you continue to test more strict avenues for dissemination of your articles. Great job. I hope you continue to return to this thread. You're a valuable guy to have on here.

          Thanks,

Hey Cade21 the reason for not losing sleep over copyscape is because the content I use for link building have different considerations from that which I use for my personal websites. I always make sure that my own content is 100% unique however when link building we can be a bit more lax on that criteria (although you will see a definite benefit in using 100% unique content for this too).

On the scale of link building that me and my team do our main concern is having fresh content on a daily basis and this is where article builder could help us towards that goal. Notice that even chrisfx stated he submitted to BMR and Linkamotion with 'some modification'. Unfortunately no automated tool can be completely trusted, you still have to make sure the content you are submitting is up to par, and if required modifying the content for your particular usage.

As for where you can use the content that is created in article builder I would suggest you can use this both for directories, article submissions and in some cases as content on blogs. Again the way you use the content created by article builder will have to be modified for each of these techniques but the option to create content 'on the fly' is very appealing. I will report back in a few weeks once I have done some internal tests and let you and the forum know how its going. You should also know that Jonathan Leger is actually continually updating this tool (as he has done with thebestspinner) so its very possible the article builder will be a completely different beast in a few weeks time. Ill let you know how it progresses.

      Rylan,
All good points. Thank you. I knew going in that there would have to be modifications to the content. I just wanted to hear how extensive it was.

Like you, the idea of creating content "on the fly" appeals the most to me.

I see Jon Leger is going to open his next campaign up to 500 more customers, but Article Builder will jump from $197 to $297. Pretty pricey, now.

Thanks again for your detailed feedback.

      All my best,

Keep in mind that I'm adding to AB all the time. It's a much more powerful tool than when I first released it. Watch this video:

    Advanced Article Building Features

And the new demo video on the home page (I haven't updated it with the new features in the video above yet).

You'll see it's growing much more powerful -- all based on user feedback and suggestions.

      Jon,
Thank you. It is great to have you provide us more information. You have definitely added some huge upgrades.

I purchased both of your other products. I'm not real competent, yet, with the Best Article Spinner, but Instant Article Wizard is the very FIRST utility I open when I sit down to create content. It cost me only $77...and has probably made me $7700. That is a dynamite little program.

Please come back and let us know the most effective ways you are using Article Builder (site pages, quality article directories, Web 2.0 sites for linking, etc.)

      Thanks again,

Sounds interesting, I own the Best Spinner but wasn't informed about this one, I also love Leger products. I have watched the video I just saw up there, and I wish I could just play with this and get a better feel for it. PLR is still PLR, wish I could know how unique, if the articles would end up being more work than help, etc., this is not cheap. Now for linking alone......now that could offer lots of options.

Have you people all lost your minds? Article "snippets" is 1995 technology that Google will sniff out like a fly on **it. Blow your $300 a year, but don't say I didn't warn you when Google starts delisting your websites as this thing will leave a huge footprint without substantial rewriting.

If you're going to rewrite the articles, then why buy the program in the first place? Just rewrite a PLR article.

The more time and money you waste trying to find shortcuts, the longer it will take you to make real money. Do you really think Google is going to let thousands of people ride the free gravy train? Do you really think Google will not be able to spot the snippets of "code" he is placing in articles to fool copyscape?

Google will view this as spam and you will be screwed. Good luck.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion, but here are some facts:

The ArticleBuilder.net site still ranks in the top 10 in Google for the phrase free web content -- and has been in the top 10 since 2006 (back when it had a free option).

How did it get this ranking?

By using this same kind of snippet-injected content, with embedded links that point back to ArticleBuilder.net.

Fact: content from ArticleBuilder.net works (and has been working verifiably for at least 5 years).

Google is getting wiser at spotting these tricks to fool their search engine, and just because something has worked in the past up until now doesn't mean it will work in the future. Every few years entire IM empires come crashing down because of changes Google makes to their algorithm.

If you feel comfortable spending years of work building your Internet Empire on duplicate "snippets" of content poorly spun together, at least you can't say you weren't warned about the risks.

Pretty simple- The Article Builder is mainly to create articles that you can use to get back-links or content to get on your niche blogs to rank fast.

You would still want to use 100% unique content on your money or main blogs.

Yes, Google one day will get to a point where they can sniff out out snippets better, but then Jonathan will also, developer better software to stay ahead of the curve- so the circle goes around and around.

My dilemma at $197 No Brainier- could wait for the improvements and more niche's (would have got it then but they had a glitch in their support system, by the time I got an answer- the first 500 spots were gone and I was told basically too bad- wait until they open the next 500 at a higher price.

At $297.00 my main Niche- Mortgages is not one of the categories- so do I get it and hope that they include that at some point. Real Estate is close but....

So goes my dilemma. $297 is 60 Unique Articles thru fiverr on my niche and I do have the best spinner, so....????

We purchased ArticleBuilder because we love & depend on Jonathan's TBS (like thousands of other marketers,) and because the sales page made it sound easy, accurately original, and comprehensive in its present/future inclusion of PLR topics.

Jonathan's snippet software lives up to the first 2 of those promises: It couldn't be easier and the articles it produces are often much more readable & serviceable than old PLR articles fed through his Best Spinner. However, the article topic choices fall far short of the wide variety promised, and many marketers looking for consumer product articles and articles beyond the usual health problem/weight problem/make-money-online will be sorely disappointed.

We wrote to the affiliate from whom we purchased Article Builder, who went to bat for us by writing a ticket to Article Builder support, questioning the thin selection of article topics. Someone at Article Builder wrote back a couple hours later and said this:

"We won't be covering every topic (impossible to do properly), but we will be adding content according to member demand. However, the *type* of content we'll be adding will be in the "evergreen" niches, so product related content probably isn't going to be added any time soon, if ever.

Your customer is entitled to a refund within 30 days, of course."

There's nothing in the sales page copy that pre-warns a prospective buyer that product-related content isn't available or going to be added, and I think this is a huge omission on Jonathan's part. Because a lot of marketers make their money in consumer product sites, and need an article that's at least in the ball park of, say, consumer electronics (for which there is nothing.) No sense adding an article about dog training or home improvement to your site which sells Garmin heart monitors. And if you simply embed your heart-monitor anchor links into a dog training article to send to BuildMyRank or other networks (just to get backlinks) that'll look even stupider. So I don't understand what some of these posters are saying about just using it for links...how do you do that if the topics and keywords are that unmatched?

Jonathan says they'll be adding new topics weekly based on demand, and that's cool, but I think they should have waited until the topics list had grown much vaster before releasing this...feels a bit like we're his Beta testers.

And to make sure no affiliate marketers who make most of their incomes from product-based sites are misled (remember, there's a lot of those out there,) I really think he should specify, right on the sales page, that his article topics will likely never serve product sites, the same way someone from his support team did in the response above. Just sayin' .

I just love it when people come here and start spreading what they think is true and fact without really testing it out for themselves.

Stop believing anything you read and hear about SEO and Google. Do you even know what Google considers to be SPAM? Unless you work for them you really have no idea.

Start focusing on what works and I can tell you from my own personal experience that using such content works and works great. All you have to do is test stuff out and see what works for yourself and not buy into all the so called SEO myths that so many people follow as if god himself wrote them.

About the code feature that helps pass copyscape, I don't use it and not going to. Google is not seeing duplicate content the way Copyscape tests for it. That is just another one of those myths that people believe in.

D Baker, do me a favor smart guy. Go to the new video just released showing the new "advanced" features of the software. Then read the article that he produces using these advanced features. It comes near the end of the video after he cuts and pastes the article into The Best Spinner.

The spun article is almost complete gibberish, nonsensical garbage, like all automatic spinners.

Do me a favor smart guy. Read the first paragraph of that article and come back here and tell me what it means. This article needs to be completely rewritten to be useful.

Now, if it needs to be completely rewritten, what's the point of buying the software in the first place? Isn't it supposed to do the writing and spinning for you, allowing for some minor polishing?

Buy the way Jonathan, don't take the video down or change it until people have had time to see it for themselves.

IAW gets snippets of content from the web which you should rewrite in your own words. It allows you to create the article using the snippets and re-order them to structure the article how you want. But you should in the end write the finalized version in your own words. it searches multiple sources (not just article directories) for the info.

AB uses his own spun content to generate the articles. He "super spins" them at the paragraph, sentence and synonym level for the database. And you enter the keywords (somewhat accurate) or just select the super spin feature to generate the article (up to 10 at a time). There's also an "Inject Content" feature that allows you to inject snippets (spun or keyword) into the article to make it more unique (pretty handy for that dead PLR that's been just sitting on my harddrive)

IAW is probably better if you have have only a few websites and you just want to research and write your own unique articles (though with some not as popular keywords it gets a little buggy at times). AB is more robust in that you can quickly create content for multiple websites, backlinks, etc. It's limited to 250 articles a day, but that's more than enough for for multiple uses (after the first couple of hours you'll have trouble keeping up )

Correction: No article taken from the ArticleBuilder interface is "super spun". That's just a figure of speech. What it is is what it is: Snippets of contents pieced together from around the web. This is not something I'm assuming, debating or making up -- this was explained to me by their support staff.

        ===
"Q: Thanks for the vid...so what you're saying is that "super spun" doesn't technically mean spun at all; that's just what it's called. What it really means is that a snippet of content was manually rewritten multiple times to achieve the highest uniqueness when compared to other snippets in its category. Correct?

        A: That's correct."

        ===

I sent that ticket in after I ran tests through copyscape and constantly found whole paragraphs duplicated from sites exactly word for word.

Now they do enable you to download a spintax coded article (or categories, I'm still waiting for support to get back with me about this coz I tried that and all I got were what look to be a whole entire category worth of spins all in one text file - and I can not determine where one article starts or ends. Sent ticket in the other day for explanation about this, not word as of yet). All I would want is one article spintax version at a time - or to be able to choose how many, not a whole entire category lumped in one text file.

Personally I'm on the fence about getting a refund.

The snippets are so generic, and they do not pass copyscape so basically it's just generic PLR that you still have to re-write. For the $300 it cost to sign up I can get $60 articles at fiverr, or almost that many at oDesk. At least the ones I get from oDesk I only have to correct the grammar a bit, not re-write the whole thing.

And I haven't seen anything new added.

I don't believe there's a trial for either IAW or Article Builder or I would have tried them first before buying. But there are videos that shows you what they can do, I'm not sure if they are on the site, but it is in the forums. As for WSO's rarely if any, I think I recall one several years back, but I could be wrong. If you're on his list he does offer "specials" from time to time, but you have to be on the list. As for Article Builder I believe it's closed and you have to signup for the waiting list, but it does reopen from time to time.

That is not the case. The content is custom written PLR by my team of writers. It is not taken from any other web site.

If you're getting whole paragraphs duplicated in Copyscape, then you're not using the Super Spun content. You're just using the tips-based articles. When content is Super Spun the odds of an entire paragraph being duplicated are astronomical.

There are hundreds of introductions, body points and conclusions per category, from which the content is randomly pulled for inclusion in the article. In the Super Spun content, each sentence of that content is rewritten 15 times and put in spin formatted text. The odds of creating two duplicate paragraphs from the Super Spun content would require billions of articles being generated from the document.

Super Spun content is now available for all of the categories. Perhaps you used AB before it was available (late December / early January). If that was the case, then what you generated was not Super Spun.

And new categories have been added regularly since it launched. More than a dozen categories have been added so far, with more on the way.

Well I just purchased it maybe less than a week ago. Under the "Build A Tips-Based Article" I did check the super spun box. So what does that mean then? I did see this statement above the box tho "* - Super Spun Content not yet available." which is confusing. So what version do I have because I ordered less than a week ago? And if I don't have an updated version perhaps you should adjust my purchase so that I am working with the latest version, because so far I'm not seeing the results you speak of.

Not at this time, no. However, when new memberships become available there is a user here giving a pile of bonuses when you buy through him (kingwarrior is the user). Just searching the forum for "article builder" will bring up the thread.

      Thanks!

And I tried on the right side where it says build a super-spun article, and I just found a whole paragraph that was a dupe through copyscape other than a few words. So I really don't understand what to make of this yet. I just don't consider a few words changed a SUPER-spin.

I just ran a bunch of articles from the "Generate A Super Spun Article" form in the most used category by far (weight loss) and the highest duplication returned by Copyscape was 19% (and that includes very common words and phrases that aren't really "duplicate content", just common). Most of the matches Copyscape found were between 10%-15% duplication, and many less.

And the "Generate A Super Spun Article" form generates far less unique content than selecting "Build A Tips Based Article" and selecting the "Super Spun" checkbox. Doing that and running the 500 word article through Copyscape didn't find anything with a match greater than 12%, with the majority well under 10% (5% or less usually). Again, that's in the most generated category BY FAR (Weight Loss).

If by "a few words" you mean that some of more than one sentence is duplicated in a paragraph, that can happen, but nowhere near any "whole paragraph" will be found in Copyscape unless billions of articles are generated.

Article Builder guarantees at least 75% uniqueness for any article generated using Super Spun content, and everything I generated was well under that.

What percentages of duplication is Copyscape returning for the articles you're trying?

Yes some are 75-80% or more (I didn't say they weren't).. What I said is that many I check with superspun had whole or near whole paragragh matches when run through copyscape. I checked several times and found citation like this: http://i41.tinypic.com/t971pj.jpg

Is that using the "Build A Tips-Based Article" with Super Spun content, or the "Generate A Super Spun Article" form? And what category are you generating articles in?

The guarantee is 75%+ uniqueness, but I'll look into it to just the same.

I do have already stated that it was with both site. The category was from finance.

P.S. Another thing I don't like is when it gives you the option to download superspun, it just downloads and lumps all the spintax from an ENTIRE category into one big text file. This is very confusing and I don't know where article begin or ends. World be much better if I could download individual article spintax instead of everything from a whole category dumped in one large text file to try to figure out what's being said and unravel.

Also the brackets are off. I don't have thebestspinner but I tried with several reliable spinners I use just to try to see what all that stuff said and it leaves extra brackets when I tried to spin them out. So far the convenience level that I expected with this tool just isn't there. Too many user issues that I feel should have been thought out much better.

          Hey Jonathan,

Most everything I tried was in Insurance categories if that makes a difference. I did try super spun content and also tried having best spinner synonyms added and mixing articles. I did not try adding injected content.

In all cases there were whole paragraphs that wouldn't pass copyscape, except for the best spinner portions and they didn't make any sense at all.

I am not saying that it's not a good tool, and I'm not trying to bash on you - I think you are one of the best guys out there - your software is always good quality - I'm just reporting my findings. I found the ArticleBuilder to be basically general content PLR and already highly used out there in digital land. It would take too much work to make the content unique and I need more specific PLR content.

That said, for those of you looking for a source of very well-written PLR at a pretty good cost point - I'd suggest giving ArticleBuilder.net a try.

The grammar and spelling are much better than most. =)

I use AB and Jon doesn't promise 100% unique. It started out excellently and got quite a few major article directory accepted but of course the more its used, despite being super spun content, the more its found as duplicate, at least in the paragraphs.

I would love to see a word/phrase spin in there too as this would definitely improve the number of versions that could be generated without the level of duplicactes being found

Its a great product if you use it the right way and I agree with earlier comments that a little bit of adjustment to an article will make it more unique anyway. For that its a good idea to spin a version, then do a bit of rewriting before you post. Sometimes just turning the 'tips' into bulleted points is enough to recreate a unique article. If you're posting on blogs for backlinks, then using the tips within AB is also a good idea to create more uniqueness.

We know there are many trainings from marketers who recommend using other people's content and who can show that this doesn't damage your blog necessarily. Just start out with a few pages of your own unique stuff, then use AB as a way to keep new content flowing - just a thought.

I have to say that so far I'm a fan.

I don't know if it's a new feature but you can even ask for an article that pulls the synonyms from The Best Spinner and gives you a spin ready article that you can drop into Traffic Kaboom or other blog networks.

Frankly I just get my VA in there and they go nutso.

I don't know that i'd use this material on my money sites, but for link building this is saving me a bundle.

In fact, i'm almost regretting my purchase of TBS because it's now kinda redundant. But I love using it, so in truth it's all good!

So overall, if you're using AB for linking purposes, IMHO it's a steal!

        Hey Lee,

To be honest i'm not sure if they still work, as i've pulled out of all of the blog networks after the big dump that happened a couple of months ago.

For my money i've decided to go after paid advertising and when I hit a market that i'm happy with then i'll start working on some SEO.

My understanding is that private blog networks still work, but you're best off building them yourself and keeping them private (only used by you).

It means that you can't leverage off other people's sites, but I think that bird has flown anyway.

        Hope that helps!
