What Autoresponder besides Aweber and Get Response

I had been using Get Response for one of my IM lists. I moved my list over to Campaigner and was having 3 times the opens rate.

Well long story short Campaigner shut my account down because I sent my IM list a clickbank offer. Even though I had spoke with them about it asked if that was okay. Oh well part of life.

I have used Icontact and Results mailer and I'm not super happy with there services

Does anyone recommend a mailer that you can upload contacts to and they would be okay with clickbank offers being mailed ?

Thanks

I like Trafficwave.net. You can contact them and see what they say.

I think just about any of them would allow you to mail about Clickbank items if you went about it by sending them to a page on your domain first.

Don't the free autoresponders put their own ads in your messages?

Autoresponders are one thing I never skimp on.

Have you tried hosting your email campaign on your own.

I have been planning to move all my lists and manage it on my own, and from what I have heard from a number of Warriors, going "off the grid" and managing your own self is not a bad idea at all.

Put this up as an option too :-)

I use Imnica and they are one of my favorites. I've used them for over a year and have about 15K emails housed there. Very Affordable and the owner is also a Warrior

I have an account with 1Shoppingcart and I'm sure you can upload contacts to them, however they may require them to confirm.

    Aweber requires the same.

iContact didn't require me to have my list to confirm so that's another good one.

I believe ContstantContact doesn't require them to confirm, but you might want to make sure...

If you don't mind having them to confirm, them all of the above should be good options for you.

I wouldn't say you're in the minority Sandiccc Send me a PM if you have questions about list building and I'll be glad to help. We have options such as our GetSubcribers lead gen service and I'm happy to provide general advice to you.

The one question which comes up often is about confirmation of uploaded lists. You can have this requirement waived by our compliance people by allowing them to test the list to see if it's healthy. Just contact support.

Does it matter if you do double optin or not? Since the autoresponder service handles that, seems like it would be transparent to me. And you would get more subscribers with single opt in. Im leaning towards imnicamail and trafficwave: one is single opt in and one is double. I want to be sure to not 'lose' a list if i need to change to another autoresponder for any reason.

Mailchimp expressly precludes affiliate marketing in their terms of service, and if they find out that you've done any affiliate marketing, even if you don't use their service to do it, they'll still close down your account, and they even admit this openly, as explained here.

Their frightening terms of service also prohibit so many other natural uses of autoresponders that it's by no means trivially easy to envisage who is allowed to use it. (Perhaps just someone promoting their own product, which has absolutely nothing to do with making money, and absolutely nothing to do with any other topic on Mailchimp's very large list of specifically excluded issues???).

Anyway, it certainly seems - unsurprisingly - that large numbers of Warriors have lost their lists there.

This thread illustrates some of the potential long-term hazards of using Mailchimp.

This thread illustrates some more of them.

      This thread does, too.

I strongly advise anyone wanting to develop long term income from internet marketing to stay away from "free" autoresponders.

This subject is really something of a no-brainer. Still, as is often the case, some people "just get it" and others "just don't".

I definitely believe in double opt-in and have never used a service that didn't require it, although I'm about ready to jump to ImnicaMail, I think, which i understand does not.

I'm leaving MailChimp because I learned about their ridiculous stance on affiliate marketing not too long ago. Don't know why that escaped me before joining, but it did. I had already signed up with aweber, for about the 4th time -- but once again, they showed me their ass and so I'm leaving -- for about the 4th or 5th time. I hope this will be my last switch.

A word of warning: if you ever need to switch autoresponders, it's better to move from a required double opt-in service, as most of the ones I've seen or used are because that really is considered the standard and some autoresponders won't accept your list if it's not provably double opt-in.

    3. Imnica Mail (has free account for 1000 subscribers, basic account starts at $3/mo)
    4. iContact (starts from $10/mo....but price doesn't much different with Aweber)
    5. Autoresponse Plus - One Time Fee
    6. Listwire (free but dependable, been using it for several small niches...unless it will state under your optin box "Click here for your Free Autoresponder" )
    7. Mailchimp (don't allow affiliate marketing, beware)
    8. Norabots ($15 a month no matter how much your subscribers)

Am suprised that no one has mentioned a self hosted solution: 'Interspire Email Marketer".

Up until a while ago, doing it yourself would give you terrible delivery rates etc.

However, now that Interspire works out of the box with Amazon SES, it's a *VERY* cost effective solution - and as you can imagine, Amazon know a thing or two about delivering email to your INBOX (not junk folder).

So far, I have had zero issues with them, whilst promoting stuff to my lists.

    Thx!
