What to choose: Xsitepro or Rapid Niche Sites?

I´ve never heard of Rapid Niche Sites. But I use XSitePro and are quite satisfied with it. I also don´t make blogs. So I would go for XSitePro.

I use semiologic, xsitepro and wordpress applications.

they are all great.

If you want sales letter sites - xsitepro
Small business sites - xsitepro
Landing pages - xsitepro

Niche blogs - WP
SEO Authority sites - WP
Autogen sites - WP

They are both fine for SEO I have number one listings with all types of sites.

(Even custom page gen sites).

For a tight themed niche pre-sell site I would pick xsitepro

For a niche content site - WP

Semiologic is wordpress with a booster kit so you only need one app.

Xsitepro is a little faster to build with and once setup requires zero maintaining.

WP blogs need updating and a little bit of work at the start - especially to set up static sites.

the free wordpress is enough is you want to set up as a static looking website, the rapid thing I am not sure It is very easy to set up just checking one option in the admin control panel and that's it

I would use wordpress. It can be setup in minutes if you are using hostgator and their fantastico installer. It's also free and has so many plug-ins that you can do whatever you need to do quickly and easily.

How easy is it to create landing pages with Xsite? I am also looking at this. Is it easy to create those sales landing pages? Do they have templates for those?

I own your Cheat Sheet and XSPv1. I've been out of IM for a year or so but am back, this time to stay.

I really liked XSP and it looks like v2 is the bomb. I'm going to buy it through your link sometime this week, as I agree with you that it is great for sales letter and landing page sites - super quick to throw one of those up. Just two questions:

1) XSP is selling it for $197 now... you say 30% off $297 = $197. Any chance it's 30% off the $197 now? Or is your price still $197? (Which is still a good deal since you get the cheat sheet free...)

2) Does XSP have any sort of blog/Wordpress integration? One of my first projects is I need to revamp a site that I would like to have both a blog on the main page, as well as some tabs with resources (FAQ, articles, training, etc...). I'm just trying to figure out if I'm better off just modding a Wordpress theme for this particular project.

btw, are you familiar with the RJ Sneaky System / InfoProductKiller? Sneaky System shows their examples with Wordpress but I'm hoping I can do the same thing in XSP2 instead. I posted a thread on the main board about this too...

Spark, and others, I just want you all to know that I just downloaded the stuff from James' XSP2 Cheat Sheet, and I am blown away. It is so much more than a "Cheat Sheet" - he has REALLY overdelivered on this one. There is so much valuable content and goodies in this package, it's unbelievable. I'm going to spend the rest of the day just going through it. I mean, there were like 20 different things to download.

I think XSitePro rocks, and if you buy it, you would be a fool to not get it through James' link and get his Cheat Sheet package also.

I have Xsitepro, and James' cheat sheet is a great bonus. I can't speak for the other product, but xsitepro is great.

I have both and I use xsite pro all the time. support from RNW is very good but I don't use it much these days as I have a better handle on wp.

I thought I had it all nailed down but I read too much and now I have to make another decision.

I was ready to go with XSite Pro rather than Dreamweaver But then I came across Semiologic which I know is more expensive but it is made to work with WP.

In addition to making squeeze, landing & sales pages I'd like to have the option of creating membership sites. I know that WP will allow me to do all that. (In addition, there is Joomla to consider for member sites.)

Just trying to keep costs & learning curves down by going with one good piece of software. Can you guys give me an honest opinion about XSite Pro vs Semiologic?

I make a decent income from affiliate marketing using completely different business models and tools.

1) custom pre-sell page and iFrame app for single landers (great for paid traffic)
2) xsitepro for static affiliate bonus sites with plenty of pages for SEO
3) Blogs for high profile blogging / list building
4) Blogs for underground networks of auto-gen affiliate sites

You can do all of this with wordpress. I use lighter applications for smaller sites that I am unlikely to visit often.

Xsitepro and Wordpress are both fine for seo sites.

Xsitepro is an easier to use fully featured desktop editor than Kompozer.

I would say it is the easiest to use. It can also deal with video, forms, re-directs and SEO settings (including a MOBI site generator). It is a good solution for building pre-sell / landing page SEO sites.

Ok gonna give this Xsite a go. So James an order coming your way now. Man this IM is so addictive it is costing me more than I can make. I am like a kid in a candy shop. If only my wife knew what I was spending I would be blindfolded and shot at dawn.

Are there any video tutorials on XSP? Seems to be quite a learning curve on this.

I'm new at this and using front Page right now. It is a real pain when I make changes to my home page and then have to change all my other pages and upload them individually.
Which programs will update all my pages at the same time when I make a change to my home page menu bar or title etc.

I have a question or two?

Does Xsite Pro two come with Xheader 1500 free head graphics?

And do you personally know when the Xsite Pro will up-grade to including a WordPress platform as well? And about how much extra is that going to be?

And last I bought the Xsitepro about 4 years ago and it was continually up-grading and the continual learning curve and was to time consuming and kind of made me loose interest in the software. The new one is touted as built from the groud up? Is it that easy?

Xsitepro would be my recommendation. Been using it for just 3 weeks now and have not found the learning curve to be steep at all. In fact the opposite, iIwould say it is easy to pick up.

Everyone here seems so advanced and I know nothing about building a website. I have read through FrontPage last year and found it difficult and gave up. I bought something on yahoo that is empty since a year and costs me $30 a month because I don't know how to get anything on it.

I found this website when I saw that cheap commercial from a Paul the millioinaire making billions a day on the net which we know is a scam.

My question to you, is it possibel with your mentioned softwares to build some sites to make some extra income? Will I understand them? I know we don't have to talk about millions a day but anything? I have illustrator and undestand it, so I am not totally illiterate. I also have dreamweaver, it came as a package but did not look at it yet because I am still so discouraged.

Hello everyone...

This is a damn good thread, especially for newbies like me, thanks to all who have contributed.

I would like to add one thing if I may and it is a bit of a sales pitch but still quite informative.

I'm having a membership site designed (should launch July 1) based on the Wordpress platform. Now please understand I'm a complete newbie to WP (but not IM) and I like the overall ease (by comparison) of WP to most other applications. However, I don't have the tech skills required to code, don't like messing with FTP and think Cpannels (or any other host panels) are a waste of time that could be avoided. I like the principle of using WP to create niche blog or static sites for affiliate marketing, Adsense etc and wanted to get several (read that as a few hundred) WP sites up and running fairly quickly as a set and forget kind of thing (through auto content and the use of Plugins..etc) but the problem I ran into was all of the convoluted BS that goes into it...mentioned above that I don't like messing with. Now I know that's all part of the game but I started doing some research and found there are several others like myself...many of you included, who are very interested in this type of marketing but lack the tech skills or time to do it.

That led me to find a site designer who is now developing a membership site for me which will be WP based that essentially allows a complete newb to it (such as myself) to log in and have a custom WP blog/static site up and running in a matter of just a few minutes just like XsitePro but easier to use with more options and quicker (complete with SEO, Affiliate links, Amazon widgets, Auto content...and lots of other choices/possibilities). There will be several bonus items for subscribers, training videos (which will hardly be needed because it truly is really darn simple) and lots of other goodies. I can't go into all of the details right now and I know none of you know me from Adam but trust me....it will be extremely easy and fast with several different additional functions and options. One of the best features is that it will offer the user an option to classify a created site as a "master template" which can be saved for them to use later. Master templates can either be used to create individual sites with the exact same set up or groups of sites (up to 10) at once simply by inputting domain names into a fill in the blank field. Users will basically choose "Build New Site" and an option will be "Multiple Sites" then a new field will open up for them to input the domain names and another place for them to choose from their saved master templates and once those two choices are made...presto, multiple sites with the same configuration are built in a matter minutes and loaded to their host company. Those sites will of course be accessible and editable from within their member page.

Im looking into some additional features such as keyword search (sort of like Micro Niche Finder) but taking it a step further to where unique articles are written for the user based off of selected keywords. The articles will probably have affiliate links automatically put into them (that the user supplies on a list in their private members area for each affiliate offer they are promoting). Once an article is created the user would then of course have the option to review and make any desired changes to it before the site would submit the articles to sites like Ezine, go articles...etc (chosen by the user by selecting them form a list). This function isn't fully developed yet but it's in the works

As I said in the beginning I'm a complete newb to WP myself so initially this entire idea was going to be for my personal use and only desktop based then I thought why not make it a membership site. Sure I will make some money on it (least that's part of the plan) but at the same time and just as important, I hope it helps make things easier and more profitable for my fellow IMer's.

Sorry this was so long but I get excited when I think about the sites overall possibilities and the things it will be able to do. I welcome any suggestions or feedback from the masses on features you think would be good to ad and/or just general opinions (especially those of you who are quite familiar with WP or have experienced problems with using it). I've taken some notes already and think this thread is awesome for all...especially WP newbs like me!

I downloaded a PDF with the program that has the basic info....I have been busy lately and have not really gotten into Xsite very deeply.....
I have gotten all the emails about the training modules and frankly I resent that....
Back in the 90s when I started with Frontpage help was readily available and still is....

I have many other products for a bunch of "stuff" and help is always a click away.......
Personally, I think it is "chicken poop" to sell a so called great software and then charge to teach someone how to use it.....
I will figure it out, as I have for the past 10 years , or eat it.

I've read up on all these posts and being good with cpanel+WP I am wondering if there is a benefit? I'm still pretty new but for building small static sites, I do know I can use WP and if there is a big learning curve with XSP I am not sure I feel like diving into another learning curve when I still have not brought in major sales with the skils I Currently have...

So if you have cpanel/wp/ftp/html experience (at least a little...) is it fairly simple work with XSP?

XSP does have a lot of features that seem very handy....I think you could produce multiple sites quickly once you gtr the "hang" of it.....

Jim, I agree with you. I was upset about having to pay twice ... However; I'm a little desperate right now. I have everything ready to go and no website :-( They have certainly done their homework. I'm sure they know that there are plenty of people like me. Thank you for verbalizing what I was already feeling though. I just wish I could talk with someone that has had experience with one or the other.

I've used XSP, FrontPage, DreamWeaver, and WordPress.

XSP is much easier than FrontPage. It is very simple to use for static sites. I found the learning curve very easy. The manual is long because it tells you step-by-step how to do things. Much easier to read than Microsoft or Adobe documentation.

DreamWeaver - don't even think about it for a simple implementation. Horrendous learning curve, like PhotoShop. But you can create some great-looking sites with it. It also does not guide you on SEO the way that XSP does.

WordPress - Great looking sites, plus tons of plug ins. But it takes some time to install and configure them and keep the software updated. For example, if you want to change the standard footer, you have to deal with html code. And backups are a pain. If you want to create several simple sites, the WP install and configuration can take time. XSP is simpler if you want to carbon copy the site appearance and just insert new text into another site.

XSP:
- James is awesome and his cheat sheet is a must. I'm not an affiliate, just a happy customer.
- My only complaint about XSP is that the selection of really great looking templates is smaller than with WordPress or Dreamweaver. Some of the XSP templates look like somewhat dated mini sites. There are not many graphic designers who design for XSP. I would love to see more up to date clean templates. I believe James has an add on pack of templates, but I still would like to see a template pack that's as good as the best WordPress or DreamWeaver themes.

I'm also a great X-Site Pro fan - only thing now I feel "cheated" because I did'nt get James Cheat Sheet!

All I can say I was totally technofobic and it cannot get any easier with XSP - it is an absolute breeeze to use and extremely user friendly! You can also get XHeader (free version) and paid one with plenty of templates to use in a variety of niches. I usually combine two of them to make an unique header graphic.
