Anyone use Jim Edwards Mini Site Creator?

I have my challenges technically and am starting out by creating blogs for each niche that I choose. Mainly, I'll be promoting affiliate products so my question is would I want to create a mini site vs. a squeeze page or blog? The only problem I see with the blog is that I need to frequently post to it. I do wish to add some content to whatever affiliate product I promote but I also want to keep it simple by wash, rinse, repeat until I build a vre empire.
Suggestions for someone starting out with a small budget??

The great advantage of a blog over Jim's (good) product is that so much is already done for you in terms of SEO.

Pinging is such a good technique - it's built into Wordpress and harder to add to a static HTML site.

With a blog, you can alter the 'feel' of your site very easily by changing the template until you are happy.

With the new version of Wordpress, it's really easy to add plug ins for SEO, content generation etc

So, good as Jim's product is, I think Wordpress is the way to go these days.

  • If you are blogging then it's Wordpress hands down. If you are looking for a site creator I have found xsitepro to be spectacular in catering to all my needs for mini sites.

Being someone that's both gone through and promoted the product, I will say that the product is awesome.

Comparing Jim's product to a blog isn't really a valid comparison because Jim's course teaches how to create Sales websites along the same lines that he does and we all know how successful his formula has been.

He also shows you how to do this without spending a fortune on software such as FrontPage, Photoshop or any of the other expensive options out there by giving you wizard based software.

Mini Site Creator is made for the person who's trying to create their own sales websites, squeeze pages and pre-sale pages. There is also a focus on creating small niche and review sites as well.

To be clear, using a software like wordpress is for blogging and Mini Site Creator is for setting up your stuff for sale online and selling it, basically giving you control to setup sales sites quickly whenever you want.

I hire out a lot of my stuff but I pay a fortune to do it so if you're just getting started and you want to save yourself a lot of money in web design, script installation and techie fees (as in several thousand), this course is definitely worth it.

"using a software like wordpress is for blogging"

That comment was true a few years ago but features such as pages means it's no longer valid.

I agree that Jim's course is very good but simply building a sales page is not enough. With that type of site the newbie then has to master SEO tactics, and notably PPC. With a blog-based site, a lot of that basic work is done.

    Pearson,

Someone wanting to create a sales website doesn't have to know anything about SEO which is the focus of Jim's course.

You can do JV's, eZine advertising, run an affiliate program, do pay per click advertising, run WSO's, etc. without knowing a thing about SEO and this is the kind of stuff Jim's course shows you how to setup pages for.

I don't own this product, but I have bought several of Jim's other products (ebooks). I always found his approach to be very down to earth, good material, very much a process step by step to follow. Good stuff for beginners in lieu of all of this crazy annihilation/crusher/stomper etc. stuff.

If one is to learn Jim's Mini-site Creator, could one be able to start creating a mini-site business service? Has anyone tried making a website using his product? If so, how long would it take to put just one up as a beginner and then how long as a master?
