Anybody else having problems getting the update downloaded and running?

Fixing bugs and stuff is nice but right now I can't use it. When I download the fix I just get a "What the heck is this? Did you want to go online and figure out what program created it?" dialogue.

I wouldn't mind if I could choose not not use the newer version but now my old version doesn't work either.

Yep, along with the same problem yesterday.

I dunno if my download was corrupted or what. Downloads EXTREMELY slowly, presumably as everyone else is, or was, trying to download at the same time.

Have tried 3 times now, what I end up with is a 6MB file that's not an .exe file. The original .exe is 8MB but this thing keeps telling me it's finished downloading but the file is no use.

    ?

I can't download the thing at all now. Times out before 1MB.

Yep. Can't say I'm impressed at paying that kind of money for something then having it refuse to work because there's an update available.

Update or no update, I should still be able to use my existing version but it's not giving that option.

Right now I'm downloading a 200MB video at 65kbs, so it's not my connection but that's not the point really. Why cripple my version that was working?

Even if this does eventually work, what happens with the next update? I sell software myself and I'd never kill someone's current install to force them to use an update. That's crazy.

    Grrr

Good point, may be you should email their support about your concern.

The update is fast to me, I am not sure what is your problem... but they should let us use an older version and not forcing us to update, and I must agree with that.
