Traffic Travis - Keyword Research Tool

Hey guys!

Has anyone tried Traffic Travis for researching keywords and analyzing the competition?

I know that Market Samurai is a great choice, and I'm also aware that you can get the keyword research feature in MS for free. However, I simply don't want to spend any money on getting it. I might purchase it later.

I'm also fairly good at using the Google Keyword Tool, but I would really like to rely on a high quality software, hence why I'm asking if anyone got any positive (or negative) experiences with the Traffic Travis software.

Feel free to post other alternatives (preferably free).

Thanks

Traffic Travis is great. Often it delivers more accurate results than MS.

Traffic Travis is a great tool when used with the Google keyword tool. There is no one factor that will give you top ranks, but TT helps to put a lot of the factors that matter right in front of you, such as how many sites that are ranking in the top ten that have the keyword you are trying to rank for in the url. The amount of backlinks and age of the competing sites. If the competing sites are using the keyword in the title and your chance of being able to beat the competition. Its a great simple, easy to use to use tool that will help point you in the right direction with your SEO.

I recently started using the free version of Traffic Travis and I am very impressed with what it does. It saves all your projects, show your backlinks as well as provides good info on your competition. The Google tool will not do any of that for you. It will also suggest other keywords and it even suggests places to use to get backlinks. Only draw back so far is that some of the queries will get you temporaily shut down from Googel if they are overdone.

I use Traffic Travis quite a bit and it's good. The only downside I ever find with it is that Google often blocks you, so you need to use a proxy server. Can be hassle but the pros outweigh the cons I'd say.

I'm running into the same problem using the rank tracking feature even though I set the queries to 10 seconds. I've never used proxies so will Traffic Travis rotate the proxies or when one gets blocked it will just go to the next?

Also what is a good proxy source?

The videos inside every module of the Traffic Travis software is valuable for first timers. It works better with when they are used with a proxy server..like Scrapebox

I probably don't use it enough for it to be a major issue to me. TT recommend a paid service which I'd consider doing if it really caused me a lot of grief. I just tend to Google free proxy servers for now until I eventually find one that gives me a window.

Traffic Travis is really good tool, I am using its professional version from over 3 months now, found it very easy to use and it has everything what I need.
I have subscription of all popular SEO tools like seomoz and more but I use traffic travis mostly..
and its Free version is also very very very good, if you don't want to spend money, Free version is way to better than many paid SEO software.

I tried Traffic Travis. Not sure if I missed something, but I didn't think that much of it. Maybe I should give it another go.

I have used Traffic Travis and it has works very well for the free version. Using the proxy feature does slow things down from time to time. Market Samurai has a slew of other features that can be utilized beyond what you get from Traffic Travis.

    Wow!

Thanks for your replies guys. I feel a lot more confident in using Traffic Travis now.
I have a lot of keyword research that needs to be done and I certainly wouldn't want to find and research 100 keyphrases using Traffic Travis, to only later find out that the program is no good.

    Once again, thanks!

I'm still using TT3 Professional and I think it's great for analysing SEO comp.

Haven't really played with TT4 even though I do have full access to it.

TT does not tell me how much a click would pay me. It seems that there is no such feature, at least not in the free version.
Can I use the Google Keyword Tool for that? And how would I go about doing it?

What are your opinions regarding difficulty rating TT assigns to the keyword. I try to see why the rate one as difficult and another as relatively easy and sometimes I am just baffled. One keyword was rated "difficult" yet the page rank and the banklinks were all much lower than another keyword it said was "relatively easy". So, I guess my question is, how much weight do you give the TT rating when deciding to target a particular keyword?

I have been a Market Samurai user and haven't tried using the Traffic Travis yet. Might check this one out as it is offered free. Is the rank tracker in Traffic Travis offered free as well? In MS, it isn't. Any comment is highly appreciated. Thanks!

You may already have you answer to this question now but the rank tracker is free in the free version of traffic travis. I just love watching my keywords move up the ranks.

I suppose TT v4 brings data from google. I don't know if the difficulty it shows against a keyword such as easy, medium difficulty, relatively easy and very difficult are accurate.

TT does not show the number of searches for a keyword and also the approximate traffic you may recieve for ranking #1.

Any one has any comparison's between the data of TT and Market Samurai?

I get a little confused between the 2. Can anyone answer?

I have used a lot of keyword tools. TT, Market Samurai etc. Those tool work pretty good but the best by far is Stealth Keyword Competition Analyzer. I highly recommend anyone doing niche marketing check it out. Keyword research is so important. There is so much competition in the rankings. Carefully choosing obscure keywords, that have little competing pages but lots of searches, will give you a huge advantage with the competition.

I've used TT a bit but came back to MS because I'm just used to it more, but these 2 tools are definitely great for keyword research! I'm also more than not using SerpIQ to complement my competition analysis and make sure I can get to that #1 spot!

    I totally agree.
I have high respect with MS. Just wondering how they can survive with one time software fee and keep maintaining and developing such high standard application. They should have like TT Pro which charge customer for every major software upgraded.

Traffic Travis is expensive, but is a good deal for those that need something strong and simple that can deliver good keywords for their SEO or MNS campaigns. I would just recommend they test it before they buy it, and they DO NOT just download a free copy of it. The updates address alot of problems that are present in copies as bugs in the earlier editions were common.
