Wealthy Affiliate..is it worth it??

Anyone had proven success with "Wealthy Affiliate"? They charge 47 a month basic and 97 for premium account. One thing that was a turn off for me is you cannot even ask a question about the program until you pay for one of the programs. A popup box keeps coming up if you click any link...

I tried it when I first started and it had quite a lot of good lessons, but I was so overwhelmed by the information overload, I couldn't really put it to good use.

If you can find one method you like and are confident to use it, then Wealthy Affiliate can help you.

I don't use it anymore since I learned my current method on my own.

Did a quick search for it in there, and looked through one or two threads. People seem to like it. Go do your own research though .

The training is solid, but the program is a bit overpriced, IMO. It's big on article marketing, a bit too much for my tastes.

No, it's not a scam. WA was my first real introduction to affiliate marketing. I've been a member since Dec. 3rd, 2007.

Did someone insinuate it was "a scam"?

If you wait a few days they will be launching a free 10 day trial offer. Also, they just went through a major redesign.

The information is good, although the owners tend to try to push their own article site, which you can't really call a directory because they don't allow articles to be syndicated.

Like anything else, if you take action you will probably make some money.

I've had my own eCommerce business since 1998, but have not plunged into affiliate. My new health website I want to strictly offer affiliate products. I joined a health affiliate network , healthywealthy.com, which is helpful and got some good info, however, the forum is not as responsive and interactive as I would like as it is pretty much the owner answering questions and many questions dont get answered. And, a lot of his system is a bit confusing.

So looking for a more active affiliate community

It's an excellent membership for beginners who are just starting out, I reviewed it on my blog withn some more details but basically it's an all in one solution if you don't already have web hosting, website builder etc....

In time you will move on and probably buy most of the stuff you need on it's own ie hosting , website builder as in the long run this will save you money compared to paying the monthly fee.

The forum and support is probably the main reason there are so many happy members as it's a good community with helpful owners. In many other memberships the owners never answer questions or offer help but at WA this is not the case.

In addition, there is a live chat function, which can be useful for getting quick answers from other members. They also have weekly webinars that are not in any way a pitch fest.

Some of the forums may not be that active, depends on the topic.
Thanks. I am a MarketHealth affiliate and like their products. BUT, to try and get a response from their customer support, yes even for affiliates, is (so far) impossible. When is this WA trial program starting? I would like to check it out.

If you're brand spanking new, I highly recommend it as they give you actionable modules to follow. Lots of good methods that you can learn step-by-step...

I tried it many many years ago when I was new and I found that after 3 months I was dangerous enough to add my own twists to the methods and stop paying the monthly membership.

So if you are new and overwhelmed by the info on here and need more handholding, you can't go wrong by trying it out for a few months. You will come away with a good game plan or two!

I think I've still got an account with them that I forgot about. (Better check here). There were big on Adwords, until Adwords started hating affiliates who don't provide value, then they were big on article marketing, but I think that has died a bit too?

I'm not sure what they're big on now, but I know that a lot of members are big on pushing the site, that's why you get so many glowing reviews, (they're affiliates).

Correction to my post above the health afffiliate network I joined is NOT "healthywealthy.com" which is not even an affiliate site.

      The correct site is: "HealthyWealthyAffiliate.com"

As I mentioned not a bad program, especially since I focus on the healthy living niche. BUt, the way he lays out the system is a bit convoluted and difficult to follow. ANd the forum platform he uses is not the best I've used.

Wealthy Affiliate has been completely re-vamped, and is now also referred to as the "Open Education Project". Plus it's now free (access all areas) for 10 days for you to check out if it's right for you. This is how all online education should be in my opinion.
