Linklicious VS. LinkClaw... What's your Vote???

What do you think is better linklicious or linkclaw?

The difference I see is that linklicious will create a short url and then ping that link which is supposed to give you a better chance at getting that link live.

Plus, linklicious will build you links through the onehourbacklinks service and they will pay for the onehourbacklinking service if you use their service.

I would love to hear some thoughts from people who have first hand knowledge on linkbuilding and what works and what doesn't. Let's keep the guessing and theories out of this thread please.

Also, what do you think about using the linklicious service to build the links and then use the linkclaw to get the regular (not the shortened version of the links) indexed? Would this be a waste or cause any flags at google?

Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Linklicious does exactly what it says - gets your links crawled and found and increasingly indexed by google. (Indexing isn't required to improve your ranking, which is an important distinction most SEOs don't fully appreciate)

I'm not familiar with linkclaw but do see that they use RSS feeds. We actually removed RSS feeds from Linklicious at least 6 months ago because it ended up HURTING rankings. There is a lot more backstory here, but that was the net result.

You can see a case study comparing the efficacy of link crawling/rss feeds/doing nothing but link building. It's on a different forum, but you can find it by searching "case study crawling comparison"

Would be nice (& fair) to declare how "independent" your view is...

Doing research on this subject right now. Will hopefully be back with results soon.

      Cheers,

Well given that the majority of sites online have RSS Feeds its wrong to suggest that RSS Feeds hurt rankings. For example, all Wordpress sites use RSS Feeds by default.

RSS Feeds only hurt rankings when abused in certain ways.

The aggressive way Linkilicious used to use RSS Feeds was obvious to me for a long time that it would damage rankings, so its great Linkilicious no longer does this.

The power of LinkClaw is its flexibility in how RSS Feeds cab be used, so users can use it in a whitehat way (recommended), or be more aggressive (not recommended).

We've a relatively new Link Indexer called Link Centaur, which works similar to Linklicious but not entirely. You guys might want to check it out by using the FREE plan.

    This FREE plan gives you:
    • Full Email Support
    • Unlimited Reports
    • Unrestricted API Access
    • Upload 50 Links per Day
I may be biased, but that is a pretty generous link limit for a free account since it should be enough for many users. Just hoping anyone interested might want to check it out so that Link Centaur can enter the 'competition'.

    Here is the link: http://www.linkcentaur.com

P.S. We're the same guys behind Article Kevo.

BacklinksIndexer is the leader in the industry. Promoted by titans such as Jonathan Leger, Socialadr, Magic Submitter, Swiss Made Marketing, Andy Black, Alex Becker, Social Monkee, and others

Linklicious is good for pinging forum profiles and weaker web properties if you are handling a lot of volume, but for staying power, you need more than just get your links crawled, and noticed. You need links to your links through RSS feeds and dozens of other tactics.

Let me clarify one thing about RSS feeds... They've been known since around 2011/2012 to get negative ranking results. We used them at Linklicious for the intial couple of years, but quickly stopped using them when Google put the smack down on RSS directories. If a service integrates RSS feeds into their strategy, then you need to look out. Unlike a wordpress blog that does 5 posts a day, there is no way to handle millions of links a day without appearing spammy ot the Big G.

I agree boosting up your links is helpful long term - after all, more links == more link juice flowing to your site.

Ultimately which service you use should depend on your overall goal and budget.

Ha ha, saw this and had to comment - old thread I know, but you obviously don't use Linkclaw...you just paste in a list of url's not 1 at a time...that would be terrible, and it's not how it works. Yes, I use it myself and think it's a great tool for it's purpose.

BTW, RSS feeds are not negative unless you use them for spam
