Loki Link Builder Reviews Appreciated

Hello warriors! I just came across this plugin called Loki Link Builder that guarantees authority backlinks on auto-pilot.

I personally think it is kind of impossible. The video on the sales page does not demonstrate how exactly the plugin will do this so I am hoping to get some feedback from you guys.

Has anyone tried this plugin and does it really work? Thanks!

    Hello there!

I just made a Loki Link Builder Review myself and published it on YouTube.

I haven't tested results yet, but Sean Donahoe is one of the most trustworthy people I know.

    Here is my review:

I also found another Loki Link Builder Review video on YouTube that shows you the inside of the members area and the plugin!

I will get back to you, when I test some results

Just bought it. I don't quite understand what it does. I haven't had a chance to look at the videos because they are streaming and I can't access the stream during the day (I wish people would go back to doing downloadable videos or manuals .... ). But I watched a webinar from profit.fm and it looks like quite a bit of setup is involved.

From the webinar, still don't understand exactly how it works. I do understand the basic SEO methods they are using.

I'll be working on getting this on two of my blogs this weekend and will post thoughts after that.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Im using it, and so far I'm quite impressed.

Video if anybody wants to see what it does. Honestly, I was going to type it out here - but theres too much to explain. Watch the video in here and don't click on the link, as it IS my affiliate link

Basically, It builds first tier, 2nd tier, 3rd tier links - helps you make EXISTING links more powerful and a ton of other things

I bought it, and I think it's pretty cool in the way that that it works, and protects your sites at the same time. But the videos listed above are from affiliates trying to make a sale, and because it's so new, there really isn't much data available yet. I've got about 100 sites that got slapped by Google in the Panda / Penguin updates. I'm in the process of installing Loki on all of them. I'll report back in this thread what happens..

Jeff Lenney is honest. He doesn't push crap on people trying to make a quick buck. He's not like those other hucksters who have rave reviews for every stinking product that comes out. He's probably the only person I would trust on WF.

I just bought it. I will look into it right for a bit because I have to go to sleep and wake up early for work tomorrow.

Thank you Sean Donohoe for this plugin. I'm not going to say great yet until I see the results and put in into action. Fair enough...

Hey Sean. I am not sure if you are online right now but maybe you or anyone else could help me. I watch the training videos last night and man you flew through them. I know you are a reputable person but sometimes you explain things in a way that only experience marketers that know about backlinking know and would understand. I have never build a backlink myself, don't know what rss feeds are and so on. Also what the heck in a cron and why do i need to set it up.

Can I just enter the keywords that I want to rank for where it says "Enter Your Keywords" and hit save changes and that's it? Would the plugin still work if that is all I do? Would it work great if all of my keywords are low competition? Will it build backlinks to all the keywords I put in there equally?

Also in the top it says upgrade to wordpress 3.4.1
I do not know how to upgrade and back up all of my files.
I think if I just upgrade like that I will lose everything and I do not want that because I paid to have my adsense site build. Which brings me to my next question. Is this plugin safe for adsense?

Also I have another question. I have 16 plugins including your loki link builder. Are any of the plugins I have are going to interfere with your plugins and how this software works? Should I delete some of them?

          Please help me understand.

I need coaching. Is not as easy as the sales video claims to be unless all I have to do is enter my keywords and hit save changes, then that would be a piece of cake.

Please help me, I am confused and I want to install this on all of my sites today. I have a license for 10 sites.

Thank you Mr. Donohoe and anyone else who have purchased this plugin and knows how to use it.

I need instructions for a complete beginner, lol.

Hi Minbani. Sorry I was busy. OK so I install the plugin on my first adsense site. The only thing I did was put one keyword I am trying to rank for.

I have alot of questions so please bare with me. How many keywords should I use? Can I pick any keyword even if the competition is high due to the power of this plug in?
There has been many discussions on how to find low competition keywords with high searches. What I did was that I went to google keyword tool and chosed exact matches and type in my main keyword. The I click on search by local and chose 5 keywords that have between 500-1000 exact matches per month. I put those five keywords in the plugin section where it says to enter your keywords.

By the way how many keywords can we put in there? Does the competition even matter? Is the more keywords you pit the less effective it will be? I am thinking because since the plugin comes with 600 backlinks will it rotate the keywords i have chosen randomly?

Also am I suppose to delete any additional plugins I might have install?

Also is it a problem that I might have a slightly older version of wordpress? Will this also affect this plug in?

                I am so confused.

I don't know about the other fields in the bottom. I don't have any additional backlinks.

I thought all you had to do was install the plug in, activated it, put your domain name and your keywords and hit saved changes and the plugin would do all of the work.

But I seee you also have to add additional backlinks, create a hello txt account, what the heck is that by the way, create a cron, omg are you serious, lol add rss feeds, I don't even know what that is, and install a stealth loki, oh my goodness I am way over my head. I just saw the sales video and he maded look so simple and now I am stuck, lol.

                Please help me

            Hi Ray,

I too bought the multi-site license. Sean is very excited about this topic and that shows in his training videos. I think he would do well to break out the training videos into an overview, basic setup, and then each of the features that a more advanced marketer would use.

You are correct about basic setup, make sure your URL is good, add as many relevant/thematic keywords for your niche, and save changes.

Cron allows you to schedule tasks to happen on a server. Sean was covering that for taking care of automating the Emailing of the HTML files containing your rss feeds (that are generated by Lokilink Builder). Definitely not entry level topics, but worth learning so you can make the most of your plug-in's efforts to build even more links.

My opinion is that this takes one of the most painful aspects of Internet Marketing and automates it, using just the basic setup, to a level I couldn't dream of matching even with all of the tools I already have. Like Sean says though, it is not a magic bullet, but I see it as one of the most important tools I have to ranking my sites and weathering the storms the G is throwing at us with all these updates.

If you worry about Adsense, use the stealth version of Loki so G has no clue. Although, I would spend the time to match a CPA offer to your site's audience. G can find the smallest breach of their terms and conditions and, poof, there goes that income stream. I've been on Adsense for several years and am still $5 away from my first $50 check... I've made well over $15,000 ($0-600/mo for about 3 years) from one good CPA offer with only a trickle of targeted traffic. It's not going to cause me to give up my job, but was very helpful between contracts.

Also, I seriously doubt you will have any trouble with your other plug-ins. Lokilink builder is designed for multi-site Wordpress and even could run alongside other link building plugins.

I hope this helps you. Sean is the ultimate authority on the tool, and probably, back link building techniques, too. All in all, I'm super stoked about Lokilink Builder and will be upgrading to the full developer license when I get my CPA commissions on Friday. I still have at least 80 more blogs to promote...

            Best of luck!

            John

So you are saying that if all I do is enter the long tail keyword that I want to rank for and hit save changes, then there is a possibility that google my banned my adsense account for life? Are you serious.

So now I am stuck and have to download the stealth loki and learn how to use this complicated software?

What is the purpose of this plugin if I can't use it to rank my adsense sites?

I've found a couple of things in Loki which don't work for me and are a bit annoying because they are high-value techniques as far as I'm concerned. Adding my RSS feeds doesn't work - Loki grabs links from the top level domain but many of my RSS feeds are from my accounts at bookmarking or other sites. The top level doesn't usually contain my backlinks. There is a Loki method to post via email to social hubs such as hellotxt - this isn't working for me either - I consider this to be a very valuable and cool part of the software.

Maybe it's just me but i don't think Sean has made absolutely crystal clear whether you actually need to backlink the files Loki creates for it to work. I can't see how it will work unless you do the backlinking to the rss feed, html and txt files in the system. This adds another level of effort but it's no big deal to do and only needs to be done once.

Personally I block all search engines from my WordPress folders - call me a paranoid - so I need to use the stealth loki - which I prefer anyway. What's not clear is if we can or should use several instances of stealth from the same domain - I'm assuming it's ok to do that.

I don't want you to think I'm an unhappy customer because that's not really true the main function works very well - I am disappointed that certain things aren't working for me. I have contacted the helpdesk about one issue (11 responses back and forward and not resolved) but not the other because I am so sick of beta testing paid products. The price of $47 isn't expensive - although to be truly useful you need to add another $127 on top of that for the developer licence.

Saw some walkthrough videos on the plugin and it is a waste a money.

There powerful backlinking tactic is to link your links to Who.Is and Statistic sites.

Ive been using those for months and only for the sole reason I even use them is to help my sites get indexed faster (and sometimes that doesnt happen).

I have not seen any SEO benefits from using those links.

The only good part of the plugin is it lets you import as many HelloTxt accounts as you'd like (which you can outsource) and itll submit to it.

Overall Im not impressed, and i suggest moving on.

You don't see the big picture.. It's NOT just about simple links coming from the whois sites, but building layered links on autopilot that pass link juice.

Gosh i can't believe that people are still living with the dream of getting their rankings back with this "magic plugin" that will solve all the problems in the world (or even to use the plugin on fresh sites). There are reasons why google chose to penalise these sites and frankly these kind of plugins won't help in the long run. Another thing do you think google isn't able to work out what you're doing when it can read the plugins installed on your site in a matter of seconds.
Please keep away from this kind of junk and try and focus on building a real sustainable business. I accept i will likely be told i'm jumping to conclusions etc. but since i gave up on that junk my business keeps growing and going in the right direction. Coincidence? You decide.

    Hi there,

Just to add in some comments as the creator of the plugin. This is no magic bullet, but what it will do is help you build up authority the smart way. It is based on many years of testing and refinement and I put my own personal strategy into a plugin and shared it with everyone.

Although this can create a wide range of automated backlinks and a multi-level series of link pyramids you can use it to create backlinks to your own backlinks that you have already created to increase their value. You can even feed in your RSS feeds and have this system pull in link from your article feeds, web 2.0 sites, social media and video feeds and have it create backlinks to those as well.

The aim is to use this plugin to create your own high-authority, ever growing authority link network.

The way it works is very simple. It creates the second level of links first, as the links above are discovered they are created on the fly. These sites have a lot of inherent value and authority and link back through a range of do follow and no follow links.

Not only that it creates an infinite number of these growing naturally over time. This is based on many years of putting this EXACT strategy to the test and has actually been made stronger due to Penguin in our tests.

This is just one area of authority backlinking and should be used in conjunction with other methods as we say in the training video that accompanies it.

Thanks for the feedback and please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions.

    All the best

Sean, first things first you are a highly regarded and respected Marketer so I just want to be honest from my perspective here even if you and others don't agree with me here. I honestly don't think these kind of "automated solutions" solve anything in the long run. Indeed you don't know what algorithm change is just around the corner, and maybe Google will dislike what your plugin is doing. "Past performance is not necessarily an indicator of future performance, so just because things have gone well for you so far and your sites means very little going forward."

IMO this isn't a busines model at all and should certainly not be encouraged as such in any way shape or form. I am pleased that you said above "This is no magic bullet" because it for sure isn't there is no such thing. However, of course if people want to buy this it's their prerogative and i wish you and them all the success in the world.

My final comment on this for everyone is, since i stopped some time back on these kind of "automated solutions" my business continues to thrive and grow. Coincidence? You decide.

Joel, we are in agreement. This is not a business model. It is a tool that should be part of an overall plan for the future. One thing we always build into our SEO strategies is a level of separation. We do that by creating multiple levels of links that filter the link juice and pass it up the chain to the destination site.

By spreading the load, creating natural looking links in a random manner then you have a level of protection not offered by many tools.

Again, there is no magic bullet but as part of an overall SEO strategy it is very powerful. We also added a special tool called the Stealth Loki that you can deploy on remote sites not connected to your main site for those that want extra protection and to magnify the power of the tool.

However, again, it is just a tool, a very powerful means to an end. Building up your business naturally is one thing, scale and automation is key to long term success...

Loki link builder is a really neat plugin that enhances your over all seo advantage. It really packs a good punch and knocks Google for a loop. I thought of it as one of a kind plugin.

I have already opened a ticket to your support center but the support person has closed the ticket without resolving my issue. So, That is why I have to post here on this thread so you can pay attention on my issue and resolved it quick.

This isn't Seans thread - I don't know that he has an official Loki thread on WF so don't count on a reply. Check your email - the tickets close automatically when they are replied to. There are a few people using that particular ticket system - I detest them because you can't click on the closed ticket to follow the conversation. The last couple of times I've come across this system I've just refunded because it's far too time consuming trying to get things resolved.

        good luck!

I bought Loki Link Builder last week and now have it installed on 2 of my sites. I don't know about anyone else, but I detest the time I need to spend building links. I am either building them the wrong way or not nearly enough of them. I suspect the latter. The only way to get a website to rise to the first page for people to actually see it is to build links to it.

Personally, I would much rather write articles or design my sites. Even researching keywords is a much preferred activity! And we all know that is a very time consuming occupation to do it thoroughly.

Loki Link Builder is not, nor is it designed to be, an instant "page one getter" unless you strike it lucky, and this could safely happen so as they say, one should never say never.

Loki Link builder is a tool designed to follow Google's rules for long-term link building. It is easy to install and it is a very sophisticated and layered system that can be implemented in stages or all at once if you want without raising Google's ire and getting your website sandboxed, deindexed or any other nasties.

Personally, this is the answer to my problems with building effective back links safely and "zoo" free. The ongoing benefits will show up gradually and continue to build on themselves. Benefit on top of benefit.

While all this is happening automatically in the background of each website it is installed on, I can get on and do other things.

So for anyone who would like a helping-hand with the essential back linking side of website building, this is the tool I highly recommend.

Having a website without traffic is like owning a Mercedes without Petrol/gas. It just sits there taking up space. Loki will build the necessary life force it needs to be found automatically and effortlessly.

I bought it. I'm testing on one site only because my experience with plugins has not been that great. I know Sean has a good reputation but at this stage I'm unsure of the worth of the product.

I've spent several days trying to get my head around the system. Not that it's difficult to implement (It's not imperative to use all of the functions but the more you use the better the backlinks). I wanted to think through the ramifications. Loki creates 2 types of links and you have the ability to backlink those with other tools (if you have them). The suggestion is that you can backlink several types of files the Loki system creates, including a text and html file.

It's possible to grab this text file of the links Loki creates. I did a random look at some of the URL's and there appeared to be a lot of 404's. I ran the list through scapebox and the results were poor. Someone else who has purchased Loki needs to do this to confirm because I rarely use scrapebox and probably did something wrong.

Apart from that the file contained about 200 duplicate entries - which can't be good. I can't see much value in backlinking a file full of duplicates and 404 links - it seems counter-productive.

My first attempt at drawing in some rss links failed abysmally and Loki picked up links to other sites not my sites - not quite sure what I did wrong there LOL

I can see how it works - which is quite clever - the dups and 404's concern me though. I'm not ready to hit the refund button - I'm sure others will have the same problems and go through the helpdesk agony and Sean and the team will get them sorted out.

        Hi anaconda,

I had the same experience and submitted a ticket to help desk. Support's reply was: "Loki builds the sites as it happens so it could be some go to a site that is none english though it does not matter if we can not read it not as humans really can not find those sites as it is build from a loki. Though googles spiders can find it and do what it is supposed to do. And that is build link juice. Do not worry about 404 on some pages there are over 600 links in that list and over time it will build a lot of backlinks to your site."

I like the concept of Loki though, so, what I probably do is remove the 600 sites because those are not my sites (some sites are even blogs that are automatically blocked by opendns, which means are not good sites) and replaced with my own google+, facebook, pinterest and twitter accounts and my own site's feeds if I know what software can create feeds automatically for my site. I have WebTrafficGenius (WTG) software that submits & creates feeds but my head still can't deciper how to get a feed to put it in Loki because WTG creates feeds in each post, thus, if I have 1,000 posts, WTG will produce 1,000 feeds while I think Loki only needs one.

Can I PM a list of questions for you to incorporate in the FAQ's please?

    Hi there,

There are so many things this plugin can actually do in terms of SEO, link building and boosting other links that I am going to record a couple more videos for the training area to go into more detail in some areas so you can get the most out of it.

For example, what are the best practices to use Stealth Loki (which you can use as many times as you want for any domain...). How to create your own massive high-value private blog network.

The thing is that you can just keep it very simple and it works very well or you can supercharge everything and take it to the next level if you want to get your hands dirty

I will send out an email to all customers as soon as those videos are recorded. Give me a couple of days on those...

I'm a big fan of Sean, so I bought this right away. Installed it on 2 WP blogs.

It creates the feed as advertised. If that is all you are looking for, it works great.

However, I wanted to build link pyramids using the post by email function. They work off of cron jobs.

I verified that the cron jobs are working. I also included one of my personal email addresses and I receive the feed every 12 hours.

Unfortunately, the email posts to hellotxt and twittermail produce nothing. I can email them myself and they post just fine, but they do not post from the plug-in feed.

I have placed a support ticket, but the techs keep closing it without even looking into the problem.

I have worked with Sean for years and this is so unlike him. His customer support has always been outstanding. However, he has become very successful and grown his business incredibly. That means hiring or outsourcing and these new people don't seem to want to fix what is broken.

    Very disappointed...

    Hi there,

The support system automatically closes the ticket on reply. We are going to change that as it can be confusing. The tickets automatically reopen on reply.

To answer your question you can post to HelloTxt, Your own blogs (self-hosted wordpress), wordpress.com, tumblr, blogger blogs and many other sites that accept email posting.

You can also use Onlywire, LinksAlpha (one of my recent favorites) and get your content out there...

    Hope that helps...

      Sean,

I understand that is the way it is SUPPOSED to work. The cron job is sending the emails to hellotxt and to twittermail (to post directly to my twitter account), but NOTHING GETS POSTED.

I know the emails are good because I can email directly to them and they post just fine.

I also know that the emails are being sent via the cron job because my own email address is in there and I receive the html every time.

Your support is not addressing the issue. Everyone says that it should work, but it doesn't.

I could really use your help here.

ok I watched the video 3 times already and I confused about the keyword part.

For example let say my site www.howtogetridoffpimples.com

And lets says I want to rank for that long term keyword:

how to get rid of pimples which has 60,500 global searches and 8,100 local searches according to the GKT

and lets say all i wanted was to rank for that keyword which is my exact domain name

Can i just put that one keyword in the loki linkbuilder plugin?

or do I have to look for broad keywords instead that have to do with getting rid of pimples, for example: get rid of pimples fast, get rid of pimples, getting rid of pimples, etc...

I don't know if I have to braod keywords or exact seaches keywords in that section.

I am confused because if I put broad keywords then loki link builder plugin will try to rank my site for that keyword and it might take a long time because the keyword is so broad and the competition is very high. But I watched the video and Sean puts very broad keywords.

He doesn't explain if the keywords have to be related to your site and if they keywords have to be long tail keywords with low competition and so on.

Please clarify with the example above.

I don't like the fact that you move from that spot to the next topic in the training video. I know you are going to make more training videos but please make sure you make them very specific with clear examples as not all of us are at expert level. I for one am still learning and i am new so i need very detail video that leave no questions.

Also I have install the plugin in in 2 of my adsense sites, enter some keywords that I want to rank for and hit save changes.

I heard some said that google "might" banned my adsense account with this plugin and that I should be using the Stealth Loki.

I watch the video but I still don't understand it. Does it work different?
Do I have to put my domain name in there and is there a section where you put your keywords that you want to rank for?
Does the keyword you want to rank for have to be related to the domain name and keywords in your article or can i put broad keywords that have high competition?

How many keywords do you recommend we put in there?
Does having more keywords affect the time it takes to rank for one of your keywords or does it build backlinks equally at the same time to all of the keywords you put?

I need help! I am soooo lost

Riverdude I'm pleased I'm not the only one with this problem - and the same result from the support team. I have also tested the same way, so I know the posting via email works. It doesn't work for me from Loki either. This is a big feature to be missing out on.

    1. Enter your own personal email and see if it sends to you
    2. See if your wordpress is sending out notice emails (have you received them before?)
    3. Check with your host, see if they are blocking emails from your wordpress

      Sean,

      1. It does send to my personal email.
      2. I do receive notice emails.
      3. Spoke with Hostgator last Monday. They are not blocking anything. As a matter of fact, Edward from your support center spoke with them as well.

I understand that this is not a support thread, but I've been trying to get Edward and Aaron to help me for a week now. All they do is close the ticket without trying to help, other than the one call Edward made to Hostgator.

I've been a customer for years, as well as an inner circle member. I guess I was spoiled by you and Lisa's great customer service.

At this point, I don't know what to do to fix this.

      Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sean thanks for responding back. Ok so let me get this clear, if the keywords are just for gathering content, then where am i suppose to put the keywords that the loki link builder plugin is suppose to build backlinks to my site until I get to page 1?

If the keywords are not that imporant and they don't have to be laser targeted, then how is loki link builder going to build the backlinks to my site if I just put some generic keywords?

Man this is mess up, I can't even understand the beggining of the training video.

I just need help understanding filling the blanks as I am new to all of this. I already watched the training videos a few times but I am still confused as Sean jumps through it quickly and skips important stuff, I am not sure if is because of his "ADD" condition, but is ok I am not mad at him. I just need help understanding this. I know he is making additional videos so I can't wait for them to be uploaded. Maybe that would answer my questions, but for now it would be nice if I can chat with someone and help me set up my 2 sites.

          @Raywarrior1978,

The keywords tell the Loki plug-in what feeds to pull from Google to use for the backlinks. For example, if your keyword is "dog food", Loki will search Google for web pages related to dog food. Actually, it looks like it pulls from news feeds.

Anyway, your keywords are NOT used as anchor text, they just find the related sites for you. However, when you look at your feed and click on one of the entries, it should take you to a stat site with a link there - just not anchor text.

Keep in mind that Google is seeing links from what they perceive to be niche sites related to your keywords. While it is not as good as anchor text links, they should be very beneficial as they come from related niche sites.

Once Sean works out the numerous 404 problems and email posting, this will be an incredibly powerful linking tool.

Stick with it, as I have every confidence he will get it all straightened out.

          Hope that helps

          Hi RayWarrior1978
I offered to help you via PM as this thread is NOT a support ticket and as we were both online at the time, I waited around for you to give you a hand. After an hour and a half (or so) you posted another message in here apologizing saying that you "got busy". Well, most of us are...time is precious.
You still haven't replied back to my PM's so I suspect you are either not prepared to do the work and want someone to do it for you or you are wanting to try-out Sean's patience. Sean Donahoe takes supporting his products as an essential part of supplying the product and when there are bugs, he gets into his "pest controller" persona and fixes the problem.
No new product ever gets made without needing some tweaks and no matter how good the product, there will always be some polishing to do. While Sean is doing the 'polishing' it is up to us users to tell him where we are finding the dull spots that need tweaking. Anaconda and Riverdude know this and they also know that Sean is working away at the pest control. Bugs exist in different environments and finding the right fix takes time.
Ray, may I suggest that you stick to asking for help in one thread at a time. Otherwise you will suffer 'information overload', get totally but totally confused - and unfocused - and end up with nothing.
The more I am using Loki the more I am falling in love with it. It is just what I needed; the answer to my wish list dreams. But I too am still learning as to its full potential because it has depths that take some getting your head around. You need to be able to think backwards. Think from the outside in.
I will send you another PM to help you but this time, I can't wait around.

Hello raywarrior,

I bought the Developer license of Loki Link Builder & like you, I have the same problem. I learn through step by step guide and I think Sean thinks that everyone who buys the LOKI Link Builder is an experience marketer because he doesn't explain the basics of backlinking and how to do it, thus, I couldn't understand the videos. Aside from that, there is no forum where members can help each other and I submitted a ticket as well regarding keywords but Aaron & the other man there just give a generic reply which I cannot understand. One man mentioned about RSS Feeds, so, I asked them about where to get RSS feeds for the site to put on the textbox of RSS Links but no one answered.

I don't have time to keep asking questions, so what I did is run a KeywordBlazePro software and all keywords that software fetched whether they are one-word, 2-words, 3-words, 4-words combinations and whether they are wrong spelling or not, I just entered All Keywords on the textbox for Enter Your Keywords, then, I hit Save Changes. So, just for one site, I have 850 keywords there.

Now, I am on Hellotxt part of the video and will order at fiverr.com per Sean's suggestion and just follow what Sean is recommending on the video, this way, I will know how Loki Link really works, after all, after watching the video again, Sean teaches how to get the backlinks through the Special LInks and Feeds For LOki Promotion. I think that's the way on how to do backlinking and we know that backlinking is a pain in a butt to create.

Although I did not check & test if Loki Link Builder really works (one poster here says that plenty of 404 which is not good), I just incline to believe that LOKI will do its magic of protecting & helping to index our sites because of that multi-tiered level that keywords on our sites will be found on level 2 plus the backlinks that Sean said to do it through fiverr.com using Special LInks and Feeds For LOki Promotion, I think Loki Link Builder is a good software to keep.

I am actually doing a step by step guide on this for my virtual assistant to follow, so, once this is ready, I will send you a copy through PM if you can still wait.

            Hello again raywarriour,

As I said on my previous post, I am doing a step by step guide which I can share to you but then, after checking the feeds of my site on its Special LInks and Feeds For LOki Promotion, all feeds are not pointing to the Home page of my site (which I believe should be pointing there). Rather, all feeds are Server Error & 404 Not Found. Also, I checked using the text feed, then, a statbrain.com site said that no data available when the domain was registered 6 months ago. When I checked the html feed, I clicked on an english domain but what comes up is a Japanese or Chinese site which shouldn't be because as far as I understand Loki (through Sean's video), the links on HTML feed should go the Home page of my site.

Anyway, I will be submitting a ticket about it. The downside is: I can't continue doing a step by step guide because I would be wasting money paying a fiverr order when there is no assurance that the feeds & other Loki promotion work.

Loki is good if what it claims work but if it doesn't work until 45 days, then, I will ask for a refund because there is 60-day Money Back Guarantee.

Hello. and thank you for your replies. Minbani I did respond back to you a few days ago on PM. I guess you didn't see it. I haven't responded back to you again because I am very busy at work. I have 2 jobs and I have no days off, therefore I am extremely busy. I purchased this plugin thinking that it would build backlinks daily for me using my keywords as anchor text. But as Riverdude explain this software does not do that. I am confuse about his whole explanation because I don't even know what an rss feed is. That is why I am so lost because I am such a beginner as this stuff. Im not saying this was made for an expert marketer, but at least for someone who knows the basics. I don't even know that. Therefore any type of explanation you give me won't help unless you want to train me on rss feeds, stealh invisible mode, and all of this technical stuff on the plugin. I am pretty sure you are not.

I am just going to wait until Sean comes up with the additional training videos and wait for his email.

Thank you anyways for your help.

Well first, the good news. If it is sending out, and being received at your personal emails then the problem is not with Loki as it is doing it's job, sending out the HTML version of the loki page it creates.

So, the issue is with the receiver side. HelloTxt or other. So there are a few things you can do if you have having issues...

    1. Create accounts with the following web 2.0 sites:
    • blogger
    • tumblr
    • shopify
    • typepad
    • xanga
    • wordpress
    • moveable type
    • drupal
    • square spaces
    • multiply
    • LiveJournal
    • blogetery
Each one has an email you can post to. I like to create bios, relevant urls and have at it...

    2. Create an account with LinksAlpha (HelloTxt alternative) and put my Loki RSS feed on there and syndicate out. I use the paid option (still very cheap) to syndicate out...

    3. Pump into Onlywire as well... You can add your RSS feed there

    4. Create a wide range of self hosted wordpress blogs or wordpress MU blogs and post via email where possible. (Self hosted wordpress is easier to do)

Those are just some of the options available to maximize your power here...

I'd have to disagree with you Sean. I have other software which can post to the hellotxt site with no problem. Therefore the problem is with Loki. If it doesn't work with hellotxt that's annoying but ok providing we are aware of it and we're not trying to make something work that doesn't work. Change your video. In the video, you also recommended people go buy some fiverrr gigs for hellotxt accounts that would be a waste of time and money.

      Sean,

I tried your suggestion and used one of my Multiply accounts.

First thing I did was send a direct email to the posting email address. The email posted on Multiply almost immediately.

Then I added the posting email to Loki, saved and hit the Test button. In about a minute, my personal email received the HTML feed. However, after waiting quite a while, it never posted to Multiply.

It just seems that the HTML feed is the problem.

I am really hoping you can figure this out.

I'll give the RSS approach a try, but remain disappointed about the email posting problems.

However, I am thrilled that you have taken so much time here to address the issue. It is 100 times more help than your new support people gave me over the course of a full week and communicates to all on this thread how much you care about your products and customers. I miss Lisa...

        @Raywarrior1978,

I understand your wanting to rank for certain keywords. We all do. However, Google looks for relevance from the sites linking to your money site. If it is in the same niche, it is a MUCH more powerful backlink than an unrelated site using anchor text.

Also, you MUST have link variety! If all your links are anchor text (especially if they are the same keyword), it is just a matter of time before the Google algorithm catches up with you.

Sean said all along that Loki is a single strategy to use in your arsenal. You should be building quality links elsewhere as well. If you use article directories, blogs, social bookmarking and the like, you can build all the anchor text links you need.

        Hope that helps

    I agree with Minbani.

This was very inexpensive and has incredible potential.

Sean is a stand-up guy and will make this work properly.

Years ago, Sean offered a product called Backlink Booster (Another guy has a knock off out there). BLB was similar in approach to Loki (except we didn't use stat sites) and my website rankings soared using this strategy.

The only reason it fizzled out was that it depended on 3rd party services like Twitterfeed and Ping.FM, which were great at first, but then became very unstable.

Even though BLB died a slow death, the websites I used it on still rank on page 1 of Google today.

Let's give Sean the time he needs to fix this and we will all be thrilled with the results.

To be honest I like the concept too but I've found the support people have been trained by Sean but they don't actually seem to fully understand the Loki system, in fact I think I understand it better than they do.

I'd have been much happier if there weren't so many 404 and opendns sites - that's just really sloppy work to leave them there when you launch a product - to me it means inadequate testing was done. The other reason some of them 404 is because the coding is incorrect - some sites require the http:// and others don't. Some of the coding is wrong and the http:// has been added when it's not required - ie Statbrain.com - Tells you how many visitors any site really has will always 404 because it puts your url in as http://www.yoursite.com and statbrain doesn't recognise the http:// - incredibly sloppy coding. I'd be embarrassed if I was charging customers for this type of incompetence. What is just a concerning is that this thread and support tickets identify this and other problems and nothing has been done.

Busy-Mum the 600 sites need to be there - they are not your sites and they are not meant to be. The way it works is ..... Loki creates a link to these stats sites in the rss, txt and html files it creates. The page at the stat site does not exist until google or another SE or bot goes looking for it by following the link from the RSS file. It's at this point a 'search page' or a statistics page is created.

Turns out that Onlywire only allows 300 posts, then you have to pay a monthly fee. HelloTxtvis free.

Since I also have a lot of HelloTxt accounts, I have to figure out how to use them as the email posting in Loki doesn't seem to work with HelloTxt.

Just when I thought I had this figured out.

Thanks Riverdude. I already have 30 hellotxt accounts - which is one of the reasons this interested me. I don't want to make or buy any Onlywire accounts. As you know when you've been doing this for a while the management of all the extra add-on accounts becomes a full time job by itself.

I'm not happy with the number of issues with this plugin. Great idea but the problems with the number of 404's and duplicates, the footprint, hellotxt and a couple of other problems, together with the hours and hours spent trying to resolve the problems with the helpdesk and by myself certainly make me doubt it's worth.

It may work beautifully for other people but this is not the product for me.

I've finally gotten around to installing it. The videos are pretty clear though it skips over very quickly how to use hello txt. Other than that, setup to me was pretty easy and I have it installed on five of my blogs.

To be honest, I was a bit suspicious when I found the source of the second level links (as discussed previously) and its SEO value. Not to mention the way it builds the loki feed but changes the links seems a bit suspicious.

I did put in for some hello txt accounts on fiverr and as soon as those get back I plan to put those emails in

I have not yet submitted the loki feeds, I plan to do that tomorrow or later this week (also again using the suggestion in the training videos)

All in all, the setup was very fast and easy. I'm curious to see what will happen.

Where do I start. Feeds produced all say lokil*** in them. Lets pull every user in 2 seconds. Think no one is noticing?

Everyone knows exactly what you are doing. Think the engines don't notice?

So far this sent a site from a solid #9 to 99. Although I know the big picture here what I have raised is a major flaw in the program potentially and so far all inquiries about it are snuffed out.

I did not begin yesterday and have everything Sean has ever put out. Even the big $$$ stuff and can't figure this oversight out. Eventually someone here should reply or prove me wrong as support does not seem to understand the implications.

The RSS feed contains a footprint "loki**". I see that okay. To be honest that could

I'm curious what else. A site going from #9 to #99 if it stays that way permanently I would agree but is this the google dance I hear so much of where your site will flip around a bit before settling? The other comments you made seem to be more directed at any type of automated backlink plugin.

But as far as specific "gotchas" with this plugin I only see you listed one which is the footprint. I'd like to hear what else you see as an issue with this plugin specifically.

I'm not criticizing, I'm just curious what it is about this plugin you see as dangerous.

As I mentioned, a few things raised my eyes too.

The other things that raised my eyes

    1) using the "aboutus" type sites for one level of links. But then again it seems that the RSS feeds are pointing to here first, which then point to our site, so I wasn't too concerned about it yet.
    2) Why do you have cron running every minute for an hour twice a day? That is probably what is causing all these duplicate entries. The only thing I can gather is that somewhere in the underworkings when you run cron it links back to those "aboutus" type links , but not all of them - just a few random each time. And so running it every minute will eventually hit the rest randomly. HOWEVER ..if you are doing email, then you would be emailing your "hellotxt" accounts every minute for an hour twice a day..

I have no idea why this would be. Maybe Sean the creator can enlighten us. And Id' like to go on faith, but it seems like maybe you would rather instead run the cron maybe three or four times a day only instead of 120 times a day.

Anyone else have any "gotchas" they see?

I'm still going on faith with this plugin because of Mike Johnson's recommendation. I am using it on some sites that after X number of months already disappeared from first page or were never close, i.e. blogs that I can experiment on.

No you do not want to run anything every minute ever. Just occasionally and so it goes with anything. Every other little possible bug (hellotxt etc) can be worked out or tinkered with to work. Frankly these issues are usually the user and not related to the program generally, but the one issue mentioned is as said a Massive red flag.

Support will give you a solution but it does not work and renders the plug in non-functional. I don't mind being the R&D if they help us but please don't spend our valuable time with non functional answers.

I shouldn't really have to break down the reasons why but oh, a simple search and manual review- or automatically deindexing everything associated with that footprint, or scan your links and submit them for a spam consideration by scraping your data etc. on and on all avoidable.

What do you mean simple search and manual review? A manual review of your blog? Your blog content has nothing to do with this plugin if that's what you mean. If you mean a search of the footprint, then if the footprint can be gotten rid of, what are the other objections?

Again I agree the footprint is messy and sloppy. But if it can be gotten rid of, then what?

Regarding hellotxt, granted if that doesn't work, that is a big part of this plugin. But if the emails work, then you can simply create other web 2.0 properties that accept emails (that is the basis of something home grown that I worked on).

So I guess I'm looking at this plugin more as something I can tweak and build off of in case there are issues of it coming right out of the box.

You sound like you know what you're talking about which is why I'm picking your brain to see what else you don't like besides this footprint.

      Thanks,

Well I can think of an exception to the "every minute" rule ... A good one and something I base one of my own homegrown scripts off of ... But I am sure it does not apply here. Then again the script runs the blackbox so who knows.

        Edward,

I saw this after I sent my last post. Many of us have multiple attempts with Sean's support team. They have been absolutely no help at all. Tickets are routinely closed without resolution. This has been one of the most frustrating support experiences I have ever had in all my years of IM.

Like so many others on this thread, I gave up and asked for a refund.

I am saddened by this as my relationship with Sean goes back for years and has always been amazing.

But there is just no support from his team and Sean is ignoring this forum altogether.

    My issues:

    1. Not addressing the massive footprint.
    2. Email posting doesn't work - especially with HelloTxt
    3. Numerous 404 problems.
    4. The updated URL list has over 32K URLs. It is obvious that no one checked them, as they are full of coding errors. Customer support suggested that I go through them and fix the errors myself. Amazing as they are the ones who put out the list.
    5. Sean is not even responding to private messages any longer.

I have never had such a poor experience with him before. This plug-in has enormous potential but needs months of beta testing.

I hope he works it out with the rest of you. I will order again, even at a higher price, if he ever fixes the problems.

    Good luck...

    Hi there,

Just for a quick update I cannot offer support for this plugin through this forum. We have a dedicated support team to assist with any questions and answers you may have here:

ADD Marketing Group - Powered by Kayako Fusion Help Desk Software

Please visit there if you have any issues. Also, in regards to the email posting options and issues some seem to be having we are in the process of optimizing this with an update in a few days with more configuration options to "tweak" how it emails and allow options per email. For example:

    sdfjhks@hellotxt.com|plain
    sdifhs@tumblr.com|html-single

We are also in the process of recording some extra videos to go through some other options and ways you can use Loki.

In the mean time here are a couple of things you can try:

    1. If loki is sending emails to your email just fine try and setup a forwarder in your control panel to your syndication emails
    2. Look at LinksAlpha.com and hook in RSS posting via that (there is a free and a paid option and its very good indeed... )
    3. Onlywire can also integrate with RSS feeds and supports many different social networks, blogging sites and social bookmarking sites

However, the basic function of creating the feed, promoting to RSS directories and Social Bookmarking these feeds (RSS and HTML) will do just fine in most cases for large scale increases in ranking, indexing and promotion...

    All the best

      Sean
Sean, thank you for clarifying this point. And I got the gist of this in the video too since you mentioned the email notifications as a "and do this in addition" ..like an extra (but it is pretty powerful if it works).

But when I saw what the RSS feed was doing, it did seem that submitting the feeds would be able to do a good job.

I actually like the email notification mostly because I am sending it to myself before I even submit my RSS feed so I can get an idea of how this plugin works and if I need to tweak my keywords. I have not yet submitted my RSS feeds anywhere partially because I want to work out the footprint issue and partially because I want to see what kinds of posts it is pulling. And also just in general to see if email is working (two of my five blogs are not working)

      I do have two questions:

Is there any plan to get rid of the footprint in some way?

Also is there a reasoning behind the every minute for one hour twice a day? Is there any harm in shortening this so it only runs perhaps 2x to 5x a day total?

      Thanks,

      Ben

One last thing. I have read all the messages here and I do greatly appreciate the feedback given by all customers in this thread. It helps me address your concerns in updates and changes.

We have used this technique for a long time and it has been greatly beneficial to us and our SEO efforts and I want to make this tool as powerful as possible. I would like to address a couple of points raised to help others:

    1. This is not a magic-bullet system for SEO... it is a benefit but should not be the only link building method you use...

    2. I personally assist the support team and if they are stuck on an answer they ask me how to solve the issues. If your issue is not resolved... please just reply to the ticket and my team will do their best to address and resolve it for you. That's what they are there for

    3. I would love to be able to reply to every single post referencing one of my products but I just do not have that many hours in a day. We have setup a knowledge base to try and answer the most common issues and update the FAQ in the members area as well with the same to assist... if you cannot find the answer please contact our support team.

    4. The 32k list is huge but don't worry, the 680+ base list is just fine...

Again, I really appreciate your feedback and I will be putting out an update for Loki shortly and we have some tweaks with our Beta test team...

    Me again...

This footprint that you mention... I have been through 5 of our test installations and do not see that on any feeds. Can you provide a link so I can take a look?

I am also making the new feed system to customize the feed title and description if you like as well as change the plugin name and location (folder, directory name etc)

Just want to make sure that any concerns are alleviated and we have happy customers

Sean, I believe the footprint that is being mentioned is not in the feed itself. That looks pretty clean. It is the path of the feed which is

      http://[sitename]/wp-content/plugins...ilder/feed.php

The path includes the name "lokilinkbuilder".

    2. That was an error with the very first version.. a typo in the cron area. Please set it to run every 12 hours or so: 0 12,24 * * <the command>... This would be running at the top of the hour every 12 hours

    Sean,

The footprint is obvious. It is in the RSS feed URLs, as every one has Lokilinkbuilder in it. Google can identify every user by searching that term in the RSS feeds.

By the way as I mentioned this can be changed.

      1) don't publicize the loki feed
      2) set a second cron job to wget the feed to a new file like http://[sitenam]/some-other-file-name.xml
      3) submit this .xml file as your RSS feed

Sean, that should be sufficient to get the URL to not have the loki footprint right and still work with your plugin?

Ahh that is why we provided the Stealth Loki....

With that you can place Stealth loki on another domain (what we call a throwaway domain) and pull the content into anywhere. For example somedomain.com/news.php and have zero footprint.

Also, you can place this file in the root of your main domain so you can call it something like feed.php or news.php etc. That way you can have it pull your main loki feed and submit it without any issues.

However, in the new version you will be able to call the folder where Loki lives into anything you like..

Perhaps this should have been more clear in the videos. In fact, considering the footprint in the URL you might want to have this be standard practice.

That doesn't work, the code itself is using other PHP code and when you move the feed.php it won't work anymore because it can't find the other PHP files. You could play with symbolic links (which does work) but that isn't a good solution since it works only with people on linux hosts that have ssh access

However, in the new version you will be able to call the folder where Loki lives into anything you like..

      All the best

      Sean
Thanks for the clarification. I will look into the Stealth Loki. In the meantime, as long as the file can reside anywhere, do you think my cron solution to wget the file (to effectively read the feed in and then output it to a new file) should be okay? Seems like it but I want to know if you see anything.

      Thanks-

Don' bother as I said from the start the stealth loki DOES NOT solve the issue. I know its all a little hard to follow and we are frankly lucky to have someone like Sean on our side but things are seriously overlooked as I said. What footprint? Even Sean says he does not see it. Just search or scrape whatever ht*p://www.***yoursite.com/wp-content/plugins/lokilinkbuilder/feed.p*h*p.

Forget about the your site part and you too can have a list of every single user of the plug in and do with them what you want......

It will be covered in the next update as Sean mentioned in the "However, in the new version you will be able to call the folder where Loki lives into anything you like..

    All the best Sean"

Which was the same cycle that happened with Sean's backlink booster years ago...So why the repeat?

I have been saying this for a week. Why just reported this back to support for the millionth time (prior to Sean jumping in here thank God) and they replied "Please give more details".

I have given every detail over and over etc. That is where Sean should crack a whip if he is paying for this kind of response.

Maybe I was not clear enough in my instructions in regards to Stealth Loki and I can see where my instructions may have caused some confusion. I will re-record the main video over the weekend and add some additional info to help clear things up.

Also, I will go through some "Best Practices" to help make sure things are solid as well...

Thanks Riverdude and I am glad we could sort out things for you.

Also, one additional thing... I am going to add native Onlywire support in there as well. The paid version is only about $10 a month (add 3 if you want the captcha solving I think) and that can allow 1000 posts a month. More than enough for a lot of good links and it works via RSS as well...

Lookup the RSS for the throw away domain and everything points to the important money site. Not the most stealth option. Look forward the our ability to name the path/files and remove this.

I suppose if you manage to hide the rss feed altogether its not so obvious but doesnt that defeat the purpose?

      This is a good point

While every link in the feed does NOT point to the money site (it points to one of the "about us" type links which then points to our site), our domain name is still in every URL of those "about us" type pages.

      e.g.

      http://www.all-list.cn/tools/alexa.do?domain=[our money site]
      http://www.similarsites.com/sites-like/[our money site]

Sean, is having the string of our domain in every single link detrimental even if the domain itself is not ours? Or is this type of footprint not anything to worry about?

Loki Builder doesn't work and tech support doesn't exist! In my case for over a year Loki Builder generated less than 20 links (all of them with 404 error). Since I installed Loki Builder I didn't see any changes in rank of my site. I understand that the software is not finished product and has many bugs and required updates but ignoring opened tickets and emails make me feel bad for the product overall. Last response from tech support was: " I will look and see what I can see to help get to the bottom of things for you." I never hear from Loki Builder support team again and my emails start to be ignored.

Every link in the content of the feed for the throw away domain goes to the money site. We are saying the same thing but this could be used against you. Too traceable. scrapeable reportable etc.

As said we need to remove the brand name loki etc in all titles. That would solve everything. Thanks for considering to do so.

Not true. None of them go to the money site. I'm not sure why you keep saying this. Have you even looked in the feed itself?

Possibly true, see previous posts of mine

Not true at all. Look in the feed as I did. Save it to notepad or whatever text editor you like and do a case INsensitive search for the string "loki" and it shows up all of ZERO times. None of the titles and none of the content contain the string "loki" (case insensitive). The URL of the feed contains "loki" which is easily fixed as Sean has already pointed out (and myself in my workaround).

Here's a question. If you never submit your loki feed, will it show up in a google search? I agree if you submit it then it will show up. But if you don't submit it and only submit your non-footprint feeds than I am guessing it won't show up

If somehow search engines can still crawl it, I would say change your .htaccess file to block search engines from crawling your wp-content/plugins folder (say that's a good idea).

          Thoughts?

p.s. didn't pull up mine. I have yet to submit my loki rss feed (I never planned to because of the footprint) and I specifically searched my site for it and it didn't pull up.

I think we are in agreement here in the end. It's not a good thing because it is in the URL (not title..that is just a semantics thing). And if you have already submitted it out into the world than the footprint is out there. Yes we overall are agreeing.

I think the semantics are important though because it does go into how to protect your footprints

You have to first make sure (maybe via .htaccess) search engines cannot crawl your plugins folder and find it on accident

But more important, even if you protect your folder, if you go ahead and go and submit and rss feed with the URL that has "lokilinkbuilder" in it, doesn't matter that it cannot be crawled because you yourself as a user let the cat out of the bag.

Those are two important distinctions to make.

I'm a little confused by your post. No I am not using stealth mode. In fact I am not using anything yet. I haven't publicized any of my rss feeds yet. I am only emailing myself the feeds right now because I want to see what types of posts my keywords are pulling up and then from there want to tweak the keywords a bit. That's why right now you won't be pulling up my websites using the search you are mentioning. This is a good thing right?

When I am comfortable, then yes I will submit my RSS feeds. And you can bet I will make sure the feeds I submit do not contain "loki" in the URL whether using Sean's stealth mode or my own workaround. I will be making the URL to my feed as generic as possible.

And its not that you want to hide as you suggest, we just need to customize the line........

That renders the plug in in operable. Did it last week and you support staff refused to reply.

As Sean pointed out contained in his link above-

With Google, if they see automation plugins they do not like or auto-promotion tools they do not approve of, they can take action to penalize your site.

You are back to the htaccess thing again. For me it shot down the proper functioning of the plug in.

I'll play with it and see what happens. .htaccess can be used to disallow crawling to your site, but that doesn't mean you yourself cannot access the URL.

It's possible your .htaccess rules blocked ALL access to the plugins folder instead of just search engines. If you did that, then yes your plugin would stop working.

You can configure .htaccess many different ways, some will disable access to your plugin, some will not. So I'll play around with it and let you know what I find.

Did you do a google search of "plugins/lokilinkbuilder/feed.php" ?

If so,you're not actually crawling a site for plugins. You are just searching for a string and the results you are seeing are RSS directories where people have submitted there loki feeds with the loki footprint in the URL.

This goes back again to previous post I wrote. If you never submitted the rss feed with the "loki" footprint in the URL, it won't show up. So don't submit the RSS feed with the offending footprint and it won't be found. If you already submitted it, then it is out there in the world. So what you are finding in your search results is anyone who has submitted a loki rss feed with the offending footprint to an rss directory, the results are coming from rss directories. I think we do agree this footprint seems to be pretty offending.

As far as the .htaccess file not making the plugin work, that's kind of a generic statement so without knowing details it's hard to guess why it doesn't work. My guess is you are blocking access to the plugins folder. What probably is happening is this will disable access to the rss feed (which is good, you don't want that feed used anymore anyway since it has the footprint) but will also disable access to the php code cron is trying to get to to build your rss feed (not good, this would break your plugin).

I have a big family weekend planned but I'll be looking at it next week and let you know what I find.

This may help block the plugins folder but make sure you test your plugins once implementing: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ping-eyes.html

Stay tuned for updates to the plugin but I have to run and do a webinar for the rest of the evening

      Hello Sean,

I bought the LOKI Plugin in July but just starting to use now. My questions:

What's the purpose of tiny url link cloaking (I know you said this is optional)? I am curious when our purpose is to create backlink to our site --which when Mask linking is not enabled will serve the backlink purpose because the url is http://www.authoritysite.com/homepag...acklinking.com, instead of, tinyurl.com.

Also, you are all the time saying that loki link builder creates multi-layered links -- links on second level links and links on first level. My questions:

      1. What is the second level link? Are the llb feeds the second level links?
      2. What is the first level link? I am confused because the urls on the llb feeds are the destination or as you say authority sites that when clicked doesn't have links to any post or page of our site?

    Okay everyone,

I installed the updated version 1.0.3.

Everything works perfectly, even the email posting.

The only problem left is posting to HelloTxt. They have their own link shortener, which is broken. However, if Sean can find a way to add an asterick (*) before each link for us HelloTxt users, it will bypass the HelloTxt shortener.

Since Loki now has a built in link shortener, we really don't need HelloTxt changing it anyway.

How Sean can configure this for HelloTxt, without messing up the links for other services is beyond me. But if anyone can pull it off, Sean can.

    Thanks so much Sean.

I played around with this thing quite a bit yesterday and today. I really really like the idea here but there are a few things I still have some issues with. Maybe they are non-issues, I'm not sure because I am still trying to learn some best SEO practices.

Sean (and others) My biggest three questions:

    1) the built in first level links (those "about us" type links) aren't reliable at all. Many times they are not built or have an error. Or they are built but do not contain a link back to our site. Even though they are "auto", it is not reliable. Seems like it would be better to just manually build the first level links (or build them in some other way) and use those as our first level links instead of the "about us" auto built links. e.g.using youtube, web 2.0, ezinearticles, etc.. and copy those in for our first level links and just delete all the "about us" first level links.

    Thoughts?

    2) Just about 100% of the news story links in the RSS feed are changed from the actual news story to our first level links. Is this kind of suspicious that every link in the feed goes to a first level link which then comes back to us? Or is this okay? Seems suspicious to me but again I'm not an SEO expert. Thoughts?

My inexperienced SEO gut feeling was thinking it seemed suspicious and maybe 50% of the links being changed instead of 100% would be better. Or basically something less than 100%. So maintaining some of the actual news links and then changing the rest to our first level links

    3) Is publicizing our feed going to hurt us? The feed itself is coming from our website so will that look suspicious? Because then our website will point to our first level link which then points back to our website. My gut almost says it would be better to NOT publicize the RSS feed and instead use the email function and email the list of articles to our web 2.0 properties and hellotxt accounts so instead these web2.0 properties point to our first level links which then point to us instead of doing what almost looks like a two way link exchange.

I'd love to get some feedback - am I just bonkers or are these good points?

I bought this plugin but later found out how sneaky Sean were with his sales page.

The multi site license only allow you to install the plugin on 10 sites. This is not clearly indicated on the sales page and i think it is intentionally done to get people to sign up just to find out later they are limited to only sites. Why was it not simply called a 10 site license.

So now i need to pay an additional $67 on top of the $47 i have allready paid, just so i can get to install it on 50 sites == That's $114 for a WP plugin which i think is extremely expensive. Or $47 + $127 = $174 for unlimited install

I really feel cheated, specially since i bought several of Sean's products in the past. Maybe next time i need to read the small print.
I was really not expected to be misguided by a reputed IM

Luckily i can still get out on the 60 day guarantee because $47 for a plugin which i can only use is crazy, specially since i have not really seen any improvements in traffic since using the plugin, if anything it looks like it is hurting my seo

The sales page (lokilinkbuilder.com) states "You get this plugin and can use it on up to 10 of your OWN sites and start creating AMAZINGLY powerful links starting NOW… (You can also upgrade for more sites later)"

I'm not sure what is unclear about that...

With the recent updates, this plug-in rocks.

Sean taught me this strategy about 3 years ago and my sites soared.

    Well worth the money.

The fact that the so called Multi site license is only for 10 installs could have been made more transparent and clear, instead of listing it in small right towards the botom of the sales page - I believe this is misleading and done intentionally to fool people.

Dont know what the big deal about the recent upgrade apart from the fact that one can now change the path it show the feed at, everything else is basically like it was.

I have it installed on 10 sites and use the big links list as oppose to the base list that is provided, have followed all the suggestions and tips given in the cheat sheet and videos, and after 1 week, several of the sites actually show a decrease in traffic according to Google analaytics.

Anyway i am not here to bad mouth the plugin and or the results that can be achieved, i just wanted to voice my concern on the fact that is not CLEARLY indicated the multi site license is only for 10 installs

I've been using LOKI for a couple of weeks now and I'm close to jacking it in as yet another piece of junk...

The support for this product is very hap-hazard when you need assistance..

I've set it up on 5 sites and as yet there have been feed problems on each and every one..

Just another response here. I did not get a chance to play with it too much more. I didn't get the upgrade yet either since I had started in on workarounds for the different things the upgrades took care of anyway.

I ended up returning my loki linkbuilder. I really like the idea of this thing and I returned it because I was doing so many workarounds that I think I'll eventually just end up scripting something for my own use.

I was a bit disappointed to see my questions not answered here. I was also disappointed that the second level links were so flaky.

But as far as the idea of how this software works - I thought it was quite educational. I wish everyone look who decides to use this and would love to hear how people are doing with it.

I installed Loki Links Builder a year ago. It doesn't work!!! At beginning the plugin generated a few links (less than 20) but they are all with 404 error. I still submitted them using RSS submitter. However, page rank didn't changed. It could be that I did something incorrectly. But unfortunately, support team doesn't replay on open tickets. I asked for a refund but they didn't answer on that request either. My conclusion that the plugin is fake as well as it's support.
