Nanacast [VS] Digital access pass

Ok, first of all the name of the softwares are actually:

Digital Access Pass
Nanacast

I have used Digital Access Pass for the last year or so with thousands of members and a whole range of different products and love it. They have great support, and most importantly they listen to their customers and will include any good feature suggestions in further upgrades.

The other side of the equation is how much my customers like it. Although they would have no idea what software I am running, the fact they never need to email me asking for password or logins tells me that the software is very seamless on the customers end. Another BIG plus.

I don't use either as a product owner but as an affiliate I've used Nanacast. My experience as an affiliate is that Nanacast is extremely easy to use and I trust it. The click counts match up pretty well with my tracking and the affiliate cookie is lifetime. So a lot of pluses there for your affiliates.

The only downside, and if Josh is reading this, I would suggest if there is some way to let affiliates know how much has been paid and how much is still owed from product owners. Even if I have to enter the numbers (when a payment is made by the owner) myself that would be fine, but inside the system there's no way for me to tell which sales I got paid for and which one's I haven't - I just have to trust the product owner they gave me the correct payment. I could get a spreadsheet, enter all the sales numbers and vendor ID's and keep track of it myself but it's a time hassle.

I have no experience with DAP so I can't comment.

You can't go wrong with either solution.
Both are solid platforms with great support and featuresets.

Nanacast is hosted with a monthly commitment.
DAP is self-hosted with an annual commitment (if you want updates).

My comments will come across as biased because I now use Nanacast. I chose Nanacast after trying 5 different WP membership plugins (WLM, DAP, MM, YM, S2M).

I realized that even if I found a great WP Plugin, I'd still have to set up many membership sites and I would have to login to each different site to manage members, orders, setups, content, etc. This may be ideal for businesses with one website...but I have many websites with many types of products. And WP in general simply can't provide a "one membership" experience where customers could access all their content. Nanacast gave me that. Now I got everything in one place...customers, affiliates, click/conversion tracking, sales, coupons, autoresponder integration, content...everything. As a result, my websites now focus on selling and they're much faster due to less MySQL-intensive plugins being installed (I'm looking at you, WLM).

On a side note, I just helped a client move away from DAP because of some physical shipping limitations with Kunaki. Nanacast helped her resolve those issues. Plus, she can now deliver content to customers securely via iTunes with Nanacast.

You're good with either solution. It just depends on your business model and needs. If you decide to give Nanacast a try, I can help you get setup at Nanatrain.
