It's probably good, but I just get a little tired of getting battered by emails from various marketers.

Perry sends out a lot of emails, but I can't recall him ever trying to sell me something. He sends out lots of business tips. I like his series and would recommend it.

Understanding more and more why successful people ration their time on the internet.

Reading, deleting, responding to emails, forums, etc., can be exhausting and time consuming, especially depending on your typing speed, reading speed, and internet connection speed.

Heard a few times to CANCEL most email messages, back off forums until certain mile marker goals are accomplished, then, after taking a break, maybe go answer and read emails, surfing , etc.,

Internet activity for research, tool acquisition and project activity is much different than unproductive but entertaining internet activity.

One puts more cash and income streams into your pocket, the other is just entertainment and may take away energy and time to multiplying and solidifying income streams.

Another senior warrior suggested to focus on one strategy and forget all the multitudes, subset strategies and directions one could be taken to, leds to confusion, unfinished production, and unaccomplished goals, always chasing the next new thing.

If you want to learn how to do ppc/adwords then Perry Marshall is your best option. The 5 day free course is fairly basic but still good info. The upsell ($49 ebook) is excellent. Perry is also one of the few marketers who does not bombard you with cut and paste emails pushing the "must have" crappy ebook / course of the week like almost everyone else does.

By the way I enjoyed this review that someone did of Perry's Book - excellent example of how to think outside the box when doing a review:

Perry's emails are actually one of the few "gurus" I definitely make a point of reading. I think of him as a business philosopher. He provides a lot of concepts - concepts that are a generator of ideas.

Perry Marshall is probably the best expert on ppc. I read his blog all the time to get updates on ppc.

Perry Marshall is awesome! I've read a both his books and listened to more of his phone calls and seminars than I can count. He has a direct mail piece that he sends out too that is great - I think it cost twenty bucks a month. He definetly helped me make - and save - some money. Bottom line, if you want to learn Adwords, he is the best.

Couldn't agree more, he's great. He has a complete no-nonsense approach, and synthesizes lots of business newsletters and the information he gathers in different mastermind groups in his own material, so actually there's been a rigorous pre-selection made for you.

By the way, you can always read the 5 days course online if you don't want to subscribe:
Five Days to Success with Google AdWords - Free AdWords Tips #1 (links to days 4 to 5 on bottom of page)

If you plan on buying anything from Perry though, wait until 01 April when he is having his "40th birthday sale"

Perry Marshall is just about the LAST guy on earth you have to worry about bombarding you with unwanted affiliate offers or bullshit.

If anything Perry is a great marketer to study on becoming an island unto yourself. Most of what he promotes is HIM and his high-end private workshops (bob-sled run, etc).

If you want to limit your EBR (Email Bombardment Rate) set up a gmail account and use their Filters to automatically label and archive mails from each list you join. Then, when YOU want, you can go though their mails at your leisure.

Perry is definitely not one to avoid for fear of being emailed to death, IMO.

    Best,

    Brian

Only one word I can use to describe Perry Marshall:

    Phenomenal!

He's running a 40th Birthday sale soon so you may want to keep an eye on it to get some of his best stuff at a discount price.

      Yup, Perry's stuff is gold.
      1. You don't get bombarded with the latest "guru launch" shit
      2. You get emails full of excellent content
      3. It aint just about PPC... lot's of other strategies and ideas
      4. Introduces you to other tools and people that you wouldn't have heard of otherwise
      5. It's about real business... Perry is not about chasing the latest "fad" but all about understanding business fundamentals and using those in your business

Sure, he emails often but the quality is always good so why would you mind?

My advice is unsubscribe from most of the Gurus, keep subscribed to 2-3 and make sure Perry is one of them.

I couldn't put it better myself.

That would be my advice for everyone. Build businesses - not stupid little money makers that (maybe) make money then suddenly stop.

Listen to Perry Marshall, Glenn Livingstone, Jonathan Mizel and focus on Copywriting.

But don't buy any copywriting courses. Read Gary Halbert, Bencivenga, Makepeace, Carlton etc. Their free stuff is brilliant.

Listen to these guys and you'll build wealth. Not some 'flash in the pan' launch or 'guru' interview product buttefly-viral inviter-twitter-madness.

Great advice. Building a business gives you an asset that someday you have the option of selling. A fad has no long-term financial value... it's purely a short-term cash grab IMHO.

Perry Marshall's stuff is top-shelf. I've been on his list for several years and it's consistently great content.

While Halbert, Makepeace, and Carlton's free stuff is great, their paid materials are priceless. Fortin's paid stuff is awesome as well.

I haven't gotten around to buying Bencivenga's 5K seminar yet but I've heard great things about it.

If you really want to cut down on the crap you get in you email, then remove yourself from all lists and subscribe to Perry. There is no sales crap mumbo jumbo that you get from everyone else. The stuff he sends out relates to many aspects of your entire business. Really good solid stuff.
