Chris Farrell membership: Is it worth it?

You’re probably wondering throughout the internets of finding the right goldmine to make big money online and most likely you stopped at the little humble site called Chris Farrell Membership. You’re doing you research, you’re getting all these beautiful and positive testimonials about the site, but you’re still on the fence whether the site is a scam or not? Is it even worth to invest the money on?

Let me start with the fact that CFM is not, I repeat, NOT a scam. But is it worth it? Well, let me put it this way, the membership is worth of 5$ of one time payment, however, what it isn’t worth is 37$/month. And unfortunately that’s exactly what they charge you for the membership.

Why? Simple. I hate to tell you this, but most likely, you will not earn a single penny with the help of CFM. As a matter of fact only 1% of CF members has made any money with his program! So if I won’t make any money, just what am I paying for then? Well, the purpose of the site is to make newbies to get started with their internet marketing career. They teach basic stuff, such as getting a domain, setting up your hosting, setting up the auto responder, etc.. Sometimes it feels like that the courses were made for the people that bought their computers few hours ago.

So should I join or not
?
Well that’s a tricky question. If you’re a complete internet marketing newbie and you don’t know where to start, I suggest you join the membership for 5$, watch all or at least the majority of videos that the website has to offer within a couple of days and then cancel your membership ASAP until they get a chance of charging you another 37$ of monthly fee. At least that’s how I did it. Why? Because once’ you’ve seen all the courses, there is absolutely no point of being a member on the site and paying the monthly fee whatsoever.

On a positive side. The site and the staff are very user friendly and nice (but then again, I get the feeling that they are kind of forced to be nice since you’re the one who is paying the sky high fees for the product that’s not really worth it)

Sometimes, in some of Chris’s videos, it even feels like the site is biased towards you being a CFM affiliate and promoting their website (yes there is a half commission affiliate program). Granted, they don’t tell you that in the face, but still, they keep bringing the CFM affiliate program every once in a while. And you know how it is, it doesn’t take a lot of effort to make newbie internet marketers to promote your program!
Oh, and don’t even get me started with their “FREE” member’s hosting, which sometimes will force you to stay on the site and still pay the monthly fee.

In conclusion, I’m gonna repeat myself, if you’re absolutely new to internet marketing and don’t know how or where to start,CFM is most likely for you, however, if you’re seeking of a legit making money online program that will get you a nice income I would just stay away from Chris Farrell and consider something else.

UPDATE: Apparently, they decreased the trial payment for CFM. Now it’s 1$ instead of 5$. So that’s good!

I decided to buy $5 trial some time ago and I can tell you that if you don't know anything about website building and traffic basics, this is for you.He shows you in detail how to do all this things day by day and you will learn it well but if you do it for some time and know how to crop image and insert adsense into your webpage, this is not for you. He also has big course,it use to be $900 and people complain about support.I don't have it. Chris comes across as a really nice guy when you watch his videos.I don't know you and your level of marketing skill so I can't help you with advice.

I guess the more advanced we get, we tend to forget that there are still millions of people all over the world who are starting from scratch just like we did at one point. So although it may not be that beneficial for us, it can probably still help A LOT of people.

Totally agree. My brother has branded himself as a newbie mentor and he is being flooded with new students every week. Best part he tells me is he is primarily teaching the basics. CFM is the same thing, more and more people are getting there hands on some sort of internet marketing training. The future is on the web! Business is good for newbie training.

Yes and I for one have been frustrated with all of the hype internet marketers put on and I still didn't understand what I was doing. 3 years of not really getting anywhere except for some bits of money here and there, until now. I am currently using Chris Farrell Membership and I have to tell you that it is perfrect for me and I woul recommend it to newbies just starting out. He takes you by the hand and not only shows you how to do it yourself step by step but practically hands it all to you. Its crazy easy and I can't believe that I didn't understand all of this before. When I got fed up a year ago I took some time off and then this membership fell in my lap and I fell in love ever since. I used to promote products via classifieds, a wordpress blog, blogger acount, and forums. Made small time cash. Now just concentrating on a list to begin with.

I can definitely agree that it's very useful to beginners. I just started a few days ago as a matter of fact and am doing what Vadimarket is suggesting. Watch as much as I can before I'm charged the $37 a month.
The one thing I was worried about was having to be a member forever in order to keep the "free" hosting. But I can always get a new host and use them anyways.

I've learned so much in the past 3 days... going from no knowledge of IM to what I feel to be a lot of knowledge. I highly recommend this membership to anyone starting completely from scratch.

That being said, is there any product or subscription service that you guys recommend I look into after I'm done learning the basics? Vladimarket, what did you do after unsubscribing from CFM?

        Hi Vadimarket -
I like your WF reviews. Descriptive and focused. Please share with me about Banners Broker and Empower Network. My long term goal is to run a real and virtual indoor cycling studio in NYC. Until then, I'm interested in growing in my IM career.

      Jacob:

First of all, if you are serious about building an online business . . . . do yourself a huge favor and get your own hosting. You can start with a baby account from Hostgator for $5 a month.

As for what product or subscription service you should move to after Chris Farrell's program, that is a very difficult question to answer without knowing what business you want to build.

"What business do you want to build?" Answer that question first and then everything else starts from there.

This does not apply to everyone, but most people who get into this business are looking for "ways to make money." For many of them, they are looking for the "easy button" and instant money. Unfortunately, many aspiring internet marketers end up going from program to program, from one guru product to another guru product. They normally experience massive information overload and they end up frustrated and confused.

You can immediately put yourself ahead of most aspiring internet marketers by simply making a decision on what market you want to serve and what business you want to build.

Focus on building a business. And you build a business by serving a market.

Research a market and then ask yourself these questions: What problems can I help them solve? What value can I add? Can I collect leads in this market? How can I monetize these leads? How can I generate targeted traffic in this market?

Lead generation and list building is the key. The lead is the oxygen of internet marketing. It is very difficult to succeed in building an online business without build a list. It can be done. But it is not easy.

Just remember this one very important point. You do not have to be a leading expert in a market to start building a business in a given market. If you spend two weeks seriously researching a market you will probably know more than at least 80% of the people in that target market. You don't need to be the top expert in that market. You just need to know more than those you are serving.

Then, as you research a market and learn things, start sharing (i.e start a blog) what you are learning with others in your market. You will be adding value to the market and people will appreciate what you are sharing with them.

      Hope this helps.

      All the best, Jacob.

I know this is an old post but anyways, if you want to learn more about internet marketing...THIS FORUM right here is a really good place.

Indeed it might take some searching but there is so much good content here. Especially since you have the War room membership I suggest you hop over there if you haven't already, it's LOADED with great courses that members share free (usually sold elsewhere)

You might want to pick a category that interest you and continue learning that browsing the forum specifically for those content.

I suggest you might try out CPA or affiliate marketing as these are great start for cash flow and new marketers...stay away from Adsense and other PPC until you get a better grasp though.
(Youtube marketing is very effective and simple...search it up on the forum)

These may be some very good points, but let me tell you my experience:

I was a total newbie at the beginning of last year, and I found CFM, while looking for a way to make money online.

In fact I liked his courses so much I signed up for his mentoring program.

Your right - It may not be for everyone, but it taught me foundational principles of Internet Marketing which we all need to be successful in this business.

His step by step teaching has kept me from burning the midnight oil getting my head wrapped around all this IM stuff - which honestly sometimes takes new (and sometimes seasoned) marketers years to fully understand.

Because of Chris and his team I make a decent living online, and it probably happened quicker than most people.

But as always - everything is not for everybody

I to joined Chris Farrell , in early 2011 although not a member now I found his training
To be very relaxed perfect for a newbie. And worked for me learning the basics
And how to! After 6mths working part time mostly evenings due to day job.
I was ready to go for it on my own.

After having spent to much on the get rich quick programs Leaving me almost ready
To give up and become another statistic included in the 95% who never make it
Thankfully with Chris's teaching I began to earn small amounts .
And am now ranking up to become very soon Full time.

Do you know of a job in which you can get paid for pushing a button
Nothing beats Internet Marketing Full stop....

So yes I do recommend Chris Farrell p/s

Ive just started in the last 3 days, I would rather listen to someone who has been there done that, then try and do stuff myself, its been a hard road for me, trying to get somewhere with all these flippin WSO's 75% still sit on my hard drive doing nothing, I wished I came accros this course first before I went on a rampage buying WSO's. I love his teaching, simple and to the point. I probably will need to be a member for a couple of months and I am very new to this. I found a webinar of his that taught me how to use most of the WSO's, that had plr rights, sales pages etc, honestly i didnt know how to use them because the sellers did not write clear instructions. From that webinar I googled Chris Farrell and thankfully found his site, I wanna be just like him one day

First, the original post was only placed here as a cheap shot ploy to promote his EN gig, then another jumps in and tries promoting Wealthy Affiliate. Sad.

Chris Farrell is a straight shooter. His training is effective and very specific, NOT full of upsells like Empower Network and most other so-called training programs.

Amazing that somebody promoting Empower Network would actually point a 'too expensive' finger at ANY other training program! Basic monthly fees for EN are close to $150 and that doesn't even count the big guns that members are pressured to buy... 'get all in' or else be called high school BS names like 'wussie' ???

EN provides an expensive system - I've seen the 'training' and found it trashy and way more upsells that training. Yes I joined, then promptly quit. EN is loaded with pressure to get 'all in' and 'release your inner badass' while you keep buying even more expensive training products - some with prices over a grand! Meanwhile you blog daily on a copycat done for you website that promotes X products whether you like them or not.

Warrior Forum members may feel that the training offered by Chris Farrell is below them, that they are just too advanced for it, In some cases surely that's true while in others I suspect egos the size of Wyoming need to strut their stuff by looking down on such 'newbie' training.

Of course his training is not for everyone, nothing is. Fact remains there's still a need for quality training programs that are not crammed with upsells and BS. Farrell's training is step-by-step and geared toward ANY chosen niche - not some 'business in a box' hand-picked set of products that members have no choice about.

The Warrior Forum is powerful and a good place to learn, but big egos do often get in the way of reality here. A quality training program that is useful and helpful to many can still exist even if some of you find yourselves too advanced for it, that's hardly the point.

His membership site includes hundreds of quality video trainings geared toward very specific goals and new offers get added all the time for the same price.

For all that's loaded in that site, $39/month is cheap! Especially compared to EN, hell they are not even in the same galaxy, no similarities in price nor actual training. Farrell actually teaches how to create YOUR OWN business step-by-step with no assumptions nor 'better than thou' egotistic attitudes nor trashy talk. To get 'all in' with EN for all of their so-called training products would cost over $1600! And $150/month ongoing. For a replicated website.

I read a review about Chriss Farrel program also before and while as you say that it is not a scam, it is not that good either. If people just want to learn the basics of internet marketing, they rather have to sign up to Wealthy Affiliate University. The place is free and there is no limit for the free membership. Although there is a premium (which is paid) membership as well, members don't have to upgrade if they don't want to.

I'll tell the truth, I've been a member several times and you're exactly right... watch all the videos you can and cancel.

You can only use their "Done For You" websites if you have CFM Hosting. Another gimmick to keep you making monthly payments.

I'm sure he's lost a lot of members, the reason he's dropped his sign up fee and created a whole new website with new videos and programs... still the same stuff though!

Wow thanks, I was about to promote their product (well, considering it) as an affiliate from CB, but I don't want to scam people into thinking they will "MAKE MONEY!!!" by buying a domain.....and doing the other basics which is only the 101 of IM. That's like telling someone "buy all these cooking supplies (pans, knives, seasonings, etc)" and then NEVER shows you how to cook or use them.

Like joseph7384 said....this is a Chris Farrell website review and I don't think it's an appropriate place to advertise other affiliate programs to the members no matter how good the presenter thinks they are! I have yet to join Chris's membership because I really research any program before I commit to anything. Warrior members ought to know better than to mix up and advertise programs that have nothing to do with the review at hand!

I personally think Chris has style especially when he talks to his 2 small lovable fury dogs (that are normally asleep on the sofa when he records the webinars....lol). I'm not a member but I can imagine him making learning fun. The free hosting and other perks certainly would make me join if I was a newbie rather than spending thousands of dollars on other training products. I firmly believe that having a good mentor really helps one to succeed.

  • Chris Farrell is a good man full stop.

His site provides an excellent entry point for a new person and saves them from the "Moth Syndrome" of being attracted to shiney objects.

I used his site as a plaform or a learning center more than an earning center, and stuff I learned there I still use.

Chris has fantastic support staff, very knowledgeable and very helpful and whats more are empathetic to the new person's ignorance.

Empire network is a house of cards - it is multi level using IM as a disguise - you don't build a business as such but "spin plates" - getting people in and keeping them in.

The videos are the dead give away here.

All power to the chaps who started it - great idea.

I started looking into the Chris Farrell Membership and discovered a lot of information on some other programs. I was in EN for several months and got no action at all. Very disappointing but I know others who did well. These membership sites are probably not for me. I like the idea of building your own solid business step by step. There is a lot of information and it's a little tricky to sort it all out. I am glad that I discovered this site and the War Room.

    Thanks to all!

    To all of our success!

O MA GOD people, calm down lol.

First of all, I apologize for making that EN and BB post months ago. I had no idea it's gonna get so much hate from some of you MLM haters. The guy asked me what I was into back then, and I answered. I still think that EN is a good program. I'm making a few thousands on autopilot monthly, and I stopped promoting EN 3 months ago. As a matter of fact, right now I'm busy with other projects, I really don't have time for EN or other MLM (don't ask me what I do, otherwise joseph7384 is gonna get on my a$$ again fro making another irrelevant post) I'm trying to get rid of all EN related stuff, such as affiliate links/blog posts/squeeze pages etc. because people are joining my team without me even wanting them to, so that's really annoying that I have to waste my time to sponsor them and keep coming back to EN.

But I apologize for making that post EN in this thread.

Oh and CrossCreations. You sound really pathetic when you said that my only purpose to do this review was to promote my EN. lol. I've done quite a few reviews/money making tutorials on this forum that many people found helpful. And I made only one post mentioning EN, not even promoting, just mentioning (articles not included). Sorry, but it looks like you're just mad at me for saying something bad about your Lord and Savior - CF, and also somehow succeeding at EN when you yourself failed.( judging by your post you are/were a member yourself)

Now, I never said Farrell was a bad guy/scam/Judas/etc (Even though the whole "FREE" hosting thing is a SCAM) 95% of CFM members are total newbies, and they will signed up for Chris's hosting just because it's his hosting and because he says it's "FREE". That way it's guaranteed that many of his members will stay on his site for a while. Many of them don't know or think it's too complicated to transfer your site to another hosting, so it's easier for them just to stay with Chris and pay 40$/m.

Now, ask any member of his site if they made a penny out of his membership site (I'm talking about CFM/ not his mentoring program), I guarantee, at least 90% of his members either haven't made any money or made so little, it wasn't even enough to cover their CFM fees.).

Let's put it that way. Chris is a really good mind controller( His calming British accent helps him with that too in my opinion ). He gives people a lot of hope, and a lot people believe in that hope, but when it comes down to actually making money, everyone fails for some reason. How is that a good program ???

Now, like I said in my first post, if you know absolutely nothing about IM. And you want to learn how to set up domain/hosting, learn basic HTML editor, etc, I suggest you join the trial version for a buck ( or whatever he charges now). Just don't have your hopes too high. Just because he shows you the video of him making 2K$ per day( from the money his members pay him for his site btw) doesn't mean you'll have the same success.

    Cheers.

On the site its saying 1$ for 7 days, but if i wanna pay i need to pay 4.95$. Not really worried about the 3,95$ tbh, but dont wanna automaticly pay 36$ for the next month obviously.

Here is one kicker about CFM. The $1.00 trial that Chris offers for 7 days goes by quick. Before you know it, wham! $35.95 kicks in. If that happens I think you have a 30 day guaranty. Yes, you are taking advantage of it but there is a way out. Well, at least you have an additional amount of time to really learn IM. If you still want it, of course you pay the member fee. Chris's making money doing that. He has a good business and made over a million dollars. You have to get paid for something. No matter what IM you get into, it costs. That is a decision you have to make.

Ah the 'warrior forum' does tend to be a magnet for those who need ego food from giving advice and playing the 'kick ass' expert.

How ironic that anyone who promotes the Empower Network might point fingers at such practices as 'sky high fees' and 'mind controlling' and even words like 'pathetic' ??????

    ... oh MY! How ironic!!!

The 'pot calling the kettle black'???

We're all faced with avalanches of promotions. We look and compare and measure possibilities. Some are a match for what we'd be proud to promote, others repel from the beginning. Such choices are wise, for recommendations become our brand, a level of trust in reputation and honesty and genuine belief.

On the other hand 'failure' is about attempts to promote X person or company that failed to get response. I'm so glad I took the time to see the inside of the Empower Network before I ever even considered promoting it.

That is no failure except in time lost. And about $50 for 3 days as an EN member of rolling my eyes at constant upsells and language like 'wussy' directed at those hesitating to pay 'sky high fees' for the next episode of pathetic 'mind controlling' promotional dribble referred to as advanced marketing training.

    How very ironic!

There is nobody out there that teaches newbies and technophobes that way Chris does. Not even close.

I can't tell how many WSO's I have bought, not only as a newbie but even well into intermediate stage, that simply assumed I understood things that I don't. (Often times, making the whole product worthless, because I couldn't go on, and they don't provide support.)

Chris made it possible for the techiephobe in me to believe I could learn how to make money online, and he's done the same for thousands of others.

Like any membership site, you stay til you feel like it's time to go. I'm so thankful to him, I stay and enjoy having Jeff the web guy answer almost any question I can come up with, usually within the first day or few hours (or minutes) of posting a question.

Chris is also great for marketers who forgot what it was like being a newbie, so they can learn how to teach them.

And everyone who ever sells a WSO should be required to take one of his video courses in order to learn how to teach to people who know less than they do.

He never assumes you know something and that is what makes him so effective.

He's also genuinely nice. The world needs more like him and IM does too.

He is constantly adding and revising/updating courses and he has great webinars with no pitching.

He almost never sends an email with any kind of offer... (maybe once a year, or less).

If you know anybody struggling to earn online, do them a favor and send them to Chris and have them take one of his courses and go from there.

Being a CFM affiliate is one of the purest, most helpful products you could ever choose to sell to newbies, especially compared to almost every WSO that's ever been sold.

If the prospect of transferring the web hosting later when a member is ready to leave worries them, then don't host with him and get the baby gator. Of course, it really wouldn't be a problem when they are ready to leave since they'll soon know how simple it is to do.

EDIT - Just scrolled up and read another post from the OP calling the free hosting a scam. Unbelievable the stuff people toss around. A scam is buying a TV from a guy at a flea market and getting home and when it doesn't work, you discover there is nothing inside but some rocks.

If you learn from CF how to create a website, you know that transferring hosting isn't hard. That is the thing Chris brings you. A light bulb goes off and you realize you can do things. But, if you still somehow have any question, you would post on the extremely warm and fuzzy forum and you find out how simple it is from great people, without the insults and egos getting in the way like we often find here on WF, which btw is another reason people stay there They love the community.

And I don't believe OP did any kind of survey to come up with any stats about who made money, but if there were any real surveys, I'm sure CF membership would fare way better than the average program, especially EN.

Do a search on CF and you can find hundreds of loyal supporters who aren't supplying an affiliate link giving raving fan testimonials. That says it all.

I do agree with OP that there is nothing wrong with joining for the trial and leaving, (other than you are likely selling yourself short.)

The hosting is not a scam, I used his free hosting when I was in his membership and it did what it was supposed to do, (host your site).

If a newbie joins his membership site, why not take advantage of the hosting, I'm certain that it's not a premium hosting but it's a good way for newbies to get their feet wet and get their site up and running.

Chris's squeeze page never makes any income claims, it's called "Create Your First Website By 3:45 This Aftrnoon".

Newbies that Join his membership site mostlikely will not make money because they don't know how to drive targeted traffic, don't know how to create compelling headlines and a whole array of other factors, but that is what the training is for.

After a few months of his training they are ready to venture off and put their knowledge into practice.

It's a good program because of the training and show me where you are getting your data from, if you can't back it up, don't make wide brush statements claiming that nobody in his membership is making money.

Chris Farrell Membership is a site aimed towards newbies in IM, and for that purpose, it is an excellent site. If you're fairly experienced in IM, of course you won't find any use for the site. That doesn't mean that others who are complete newbies will not find it valuable. He has lots of video trainings on the main aspects of IM and he shows people what to do step by step, and in a form that is very easy to understand.

I was a member of the site for about a year (should have cancelled about 4 months earlier because I'd learnt all I thought I could, but just didn't get round to it.), I'm not exactly a newbie, but I can't claim to be a hard nosed IMer either and I found some of his training very valuable.

As a fairly experienced IM, of course you can spot ways how Chris tries to make more money from his members, and trying to appear not to. E.g. Having them to focus their first internet venture by promoting his membership site as affiliates through the first website he teaches them to build; Providing them with a newsletter, which largely promotes his site, to send to their mailing list after recommending Aweber, and encouraging them to sign up under his affiliate link but acting indifferent towards it in the same breath; providing made for you websites to promote specific products, which I'm sure he benefits from, etc etc etc.

But I'm not begrudging him earning from his efforts because regardless of whether his members are usually nudged towards being affiliates for his site in his trainings, at least they're learning very valuable skills along the way that will prove very useful to them in their own businesses. Besides, if they're successful affiliates of his site and the products he recommends, they will be earning commissions as well, so they equally win.

While the site's membership are largely newbies, I spotted a couple of very experienced IMers, some of them with their own fairly established products, on the site as well. They help out in the forums answering questions and very frequently reinforcing the value of the site, giving the impression that they still find value in the site. My suspicion is that such members have free memberships on the quiet, because they can't possibly be learning anything from the site that they haven't already got vast experience in.

Now whether the site is worth $37/mth depends on people's circumstances. It is a question of the value people get from the site. I mean, a man dying of thirst in the desert would give anything for a drink of water.

All in all, I think Chris is one of the good guys because he is simply earning a living while helping people who need it.., which is a lot more than can be said for thousands of shady IMers out there.

Chris Farrell is very clever, he is charismatic and comes across extremely well, which is probably one of the reasons why he convinces people that he can help them make money.I don't doubt that he can help people, I don't suppose he would be where he otherwise. However, I believe a lot of people are taken in by his pitch, it's very easy to get peoples attention when you start talking big money. Apparently he earned $1 million in just one day, that is something that not many people can achieve. His seven-day trial is less than five dollars, thereafter it's nearly $40 a month. $400 a year? I wonder how long it will take you to actually get your money back? I myself use AdSense so I know exactly what it takes to earn money, I doubt very much whether any newcomer is going to be making decent money that quickly, not unless they were in a position that they can develop a good website that became quickly.

It would be interesting to know how many people out of the many many thousands of people who have subscribed actually make a decent bit of money, and how many people give up after a year and never make a dime

I am on day 3 of my trial.
Currently on the 15th video. So far, everything very very basic. I am still waiting on the part where he tells you how to use Optimize Press to easily create a 3 page site. Then how to generate traffic, at least I hope that's what I'll see next.

But found my first gotcha of Chris Ferrell's entire operation.
His course is based on Optimize Press Lite. A custom super light theme of OptimizePress but IT ONLY WORKS ON HIS OWN HOSTING PLATFORM.
You need to have a year membership, and continue with your membership to keep your sites active once you completed your course.

I posted this comment saying how it put a wrench into the entire course, and my comment was promptly deleted.

The Optimise Press lite from Chris Farrell Membership will definitely run on any hosting, This change was made recently. You do need to download the latest version of OP Lite from the membership site. Theoretically this would continue to work on your own websites hosted away from CFM if you were to cancel your membership.

Yes, I think it is worth it. His videos are excellent and the best for the newbie who really wants to know Internet Marketing. His courses are provided in very easy steps and it has very good graphics. The information is presented in a slow way so as to digest the information provided. He basically does this primarily in all his videos. Even though he provides hosting but you still have to buy an auto responder. But that's it. To stay past the 7 day trial, it will cost $35.95 a month but for that membership, still that is not a bad price considering all the other types of IM which does cost more. CFM has no upsell but does provide a few businesses that others are trying to promote. You have to work all these out yourself to make it work. I'm not saying you are going to be rich but a few hundred dollars a month will help with expenses. Even a thousand dollars a month will pay for the mortgage of a house, car, insurance and have a little extra for yourself. Why not move to Las Vegas where you can gamble a little and maybe hit the big one. Only kidding lol. All I can say in a summary that Chris is an honest and real person who is not out to screw you. Try it out; doesn't cost much for the trial and if you like it, then you decide whether to go for it. By the way, I am not in any form trying to sell you.

It does not matter if you are clueless or have been spinning your wheels for a year or two, if you really want to learn the best way to make money online, Chris Farrell Membership is a no-brainer. There is no better Coach online that Chris himself.
