Rapid Action Profits or DL Guard ?

Both seem very competitively priced for their featureset.

I think Im going to need one or the other here in the next 45 days [fingers crossed!]

Whats the better choice for "affiliates" in the mix. Im not all that excited about the "instant" payment to affiliates - as the product has some upsewll and unique refund features ... payment will need to take a bit. Thats another story.

Easy. Paypal. Reliable. Flexible.

Thanks for your suggestions

DL doesn't have any way to track affiliates yet. I know Sam is working on a Pro version with affiliate tracking.

Have you had a look at Share-It?They have a decent affiliate management system, integrated shopping cart, they accept offline payments like checks plus they also have a protection feature called Software Passport.
You can look at it before you decide. I use Share-It for my payment processing and the service is excellent (though I have not tried the Software Passport though).
If you do, please post your review so that all of us can know

I understand, but there is now a Paypal MassPay add on for RAP. You don't have to do instant commissions when it's not appropriate. (you could mix 'n match - instant commissions for some products, masspay for others).

Sam's product is great, but sounds like it's not a fit for you - maybe by the time you're ready to make that choice.

I like and use both. Both have their niche soto speak. I like them both for PLR and MRR sales. Sell the products cheap and get more sales and members on your list. You get paid once, sometimes maybe twice with RAP Member Plus. With DLGuard, I use it with my PLR and MRR products as well. Dueling sites as a matter of fact.

For instance, I have a PLRsite where I post up new products with their own sales page. I run them through DLGuard for Download security, but also because the payment and download management is so easy. I load up each product, but then I created 3 different membership sites. One is for software, one is for videos, and one is an all inclusive membership which provides members with every PLR product I sell. The great thing is, I host them all in one location (Amazon S3) and they all are loaded only once in DLGuard. The download pages are easy to customize and it is so easy to use.

RAP Member Plus on the other hand is still easy and you can add your products to the memberships just like you can with DLGuard, it is just not as seamless as DLGuard is. The main benefit is the Squeeze pages and OTO process is integrated and you don't get this with DLGuard, as well as the added affiliate benefits.

I tend to get more sales with RAP individually, but I make more money overall with my memberships on DLGuard since they are so easy to manage and provide a slightly better interface in my opinion. Like I said, i use both because they both have their uses. It depends on your marketing strategy.

Heck, I use several membership scripts, but that is because I use each for different purposes. If JVManager 2 wasn't so expensive I would buy that, but I won't use the hosted version. That means you are locked into their program forever and I don't like someone else holding my fate in their hands. Hosting is one thing, but that is another altogether.

Yes to aWeber (I use them myself). They provide a service beyond what RAP offers.

No to Clickbank. Why would you pay someone else to manage your affiliates, when RAP already does this for you?

There could be numerous reasons for this. If your product is just starting out and you don't have any affiliates, Clickbank could provide you with loads of them, and their charge would be a small price to pay to get started. But if you have a huge list of previous customers that are willing to promote for you, or are hooked up with some super affilate marketers, then that may be a different story.

Clickbank doesn't provide you with affiliates. It lists products for which they have resale rights - for THEIR affiliates.

IMHO, Providing "Instant Commissions" for affiliates will help you a lot more than just listing your product along with thousands of others on Clickbank, and then they are YOUR affiliates. You can contact them, create discount coupons that they can pass on to their prospects, etc.

Clickbank also restricts the commission rate you can offer to your affiliates (nothing over 75% if I remember correctly), no 100% commission offers to help you build your prospect list (not only are these good for you... your affiliates will eat them up!)
