Not a rant: Why is Butterfly Mktg. supposedly so good?

There are other threads that rant on about his launch issues yesterday, but I want to focus on something else.

Maybe somebody can chime in and comment on the actual product and WHY it is supposedly so good. I've only just scratched the surface on it but my initial observation is that:

1. It is a relatively low grade web site creator, in terms of aesthetics (apparently just average site tools)

2. The system behind it is just really a membersite site script, and not as robust as any others I've seen.

3. It does offer easy to use OTO, upsells, etc.

4. The built in affiliate program is said to be good.

Aside from the DVDs with his marketing wisdom (I'm sure unquestionable value), what makes the actual system so special? Seems none of the individual components are unique or top notch by themselves. Maybe at one time this was revolutionary, but now?

Let's get away from the normal rants and ridiculing one another, and ask a real question.

As far as the product itself, what's the big deal?

I'm just not seeing anything that can't be done better with existing tools.

Just sayin...

For me, it's more about learning the system than getting the software. I simply want to read the manuscript and widen my horizons. At $29.95, you can't beat that. I'm also looking forward to the magazine.

From what I've seen, other software like SimpleMemberPro and Rapid Action Profits perform nearly the same tasks as BM.

    Nice!

You mean we should judge the product on its merits...?

    CRAZY!

25 'angled' emails from 25 different players does not make a good product.

However, BF seems to have stood the test...

Here is my take on these offers for a deeply discounted course/product. Yes they usually want you to subscribe to a 40-100 a month product.

I take up on these offers and look at the backend offer the monthly product.

Yes we are all adults capable of making decisions. We are all IMers trying to make a few bucks. We are all at different levels of IM education.

Many of these backend offers often offer decent quality monthly products ... usually much better than your 67 dollar ebook after all they want to keep you each month.

I have also found the quality of information in the monthly product help my bottom line tremendously for some products.

That being said if your and experience IMer you may not gain much but if your intermediate you can often pick up tips and good ideas.

If your a newb ... you can pick up a wealth of information on the courses and save a ton of money by just taking advantage of the shipping and handling and canceling the monthly backend product.

I would agree the system plays a big part in bfm's value.

My favorite part is the fact that the sites you create can be very viral if you set them up right and if you have a great product, ect.
