Want to know about 000webhost

I have registered free hosting at 000webhost and have set up my own domain there. Installed wordpress too. I would like to know if there is anyone who have used 000webhost before. How is their service. I have found it good so far.

the problem with this free hosting site is that they are not reliable one time they are up next they are down for better and optimal hosting go for the paid package

I have heard It's pretty decent. Then again I have heard that they are very bad, and not reliable from others, even with paid.

If you're just starting out and don't have much cash, then I say they are great. If you have a buddy that Is using Host Gator, see If he/she will let you use his/her hosting (If he/she has the baby subscription I think), and It will be free as well but much more reliable.

I host a few of my friends sites :p

  • If you're intending on building a business online then I don't think that using a free hosting service is the way to go. If you hit any problems, don't expect much in the way of support or help - you're not paying for any.

Trying to cut corners when building your foundations will only lead to regret further down the line. Paid hosting is really inexpensive now and reputable providers usually offer excellent support.

If you are on a very tight budget, you'd be better off with a blogger site or similar.

With pretty much all free web hosting sites, you get what you pay for.

Exactly. I do not have much cash now and I am just starting the things in IM. The site I hosted is a blog site and willing to make it popular by working hard. Later, if the sites become established I will switch into a paid hosting service.

One more thing. Does a free hosting effect on the ranking of a site? I do not think so. But want to be confirm about it.

Well, It Is shared hosting, amongst a ton of other users. If there Is a blacklisted site, or a site with malware I think It could potentially hurt you because you are pretty much sharing with those others.

Does it mean if a blogger blog is blacklisted, all the other blogger blogs can be potentially hurt for it? As they are providing the same shared hosting with tons of other users.

I'm not too sure buddy. That's just my theory, but I think I have heard something along those lines In the past. Don't quote me on It though :p

Yeah, if you have no cash to start up, you might as well go for a WordPress.com site. Better hosting by far.

Otherwise, you can pay a few dollars a month for excellent services like Bluehost or HostGator or NameCheap.

But the terms of service make it useless for any kind of "marketing".

No form of monetization at all is allowed there. Nothing commercial. No affiliate links.

You're not even allowed to use it for the purpose of generating traffic to another site!

Wordpress.com is probably just about the top of the list of places to avoid, for a marketer.

      Freehostia.com
has a good reputation for free hosting. Byethost.com, too. Hostica.com provides good quality, reliable hosting for $1 per month (that's for one site, and the price will increase in 2013).

000webhost is 100% unreliable, i also hosted my blog, but its downtime was too damn high, also on a wordpress blog, the installation of plugins was not supported sometimes, try using any other free webhosting like 1freehosting

If a website gets just a little traffic you can only use free plans with static HTML files. No Wordpress! Even though the 100 GB/month bandwidth limit (000webhost) is more than enough for a starting blog, there are other limits like CPU usage that do not allow to use even one hundreth of this bandwidth with Wordpress. If a Wordpress site gets more than 400-500 visitors a month you'll get your free account suspended very quickly.
Another use is to build your site first up on the free plan, and then, when you succeed in turning traffic on, you can move to the paid plan. This what it's actually meant for.

  • I havent used this provider. If your serious about your business, I would recommend a reliable hosting provider. Last thing you want is to spend money on traffic to your site that is not available. There are many hosting providers available with several reviews online, would suggest checking out the options.

If you are serious about your online business than free hosting is not a right choice for you. There is no security with Free web hosting. You will also not get the optimum server resources. They will not give you any guarantee of their services which is free.
