Curious... Anyone ever used it?

It's frustrating as hell to setup - and would def pay someone to help me out here.

Dunno where else on the forum to post this. :-)

I sent them an email with a number of questions and the reply came within hours, which was pretty good. Mind you, my questions about their integrated affiliate management system and one click upsell were left unanswered.

However, my main problem is their website - it does not really "illustrate" well what they actually offer. Just a list of bullet points for each component, then links to generic explanations but no clear visualisation of what their solution is.
I made this a point in my email, saying some videos or webinars, or screenshots with detailed explanations would be good. They admitted that while being in business for 13 years, they lack in marketing ...
I am actually comparing to 1SC and other "all-in-one" eCommerce solutions.

    Hi,

Ultracart is definitely feature rich. I admit it can seem very daunting because of all the features it has, but it is worth the trouble.

The fact that it has 1 click upsell, an affiliate program, integrates with the most popular autoresponders, etc is just the start of the benefits.

Their tech support makes it almost a custom solution.

For example, I asked them about integrating Amember with ultracart. They gave me a price for their tech support to do it..very reasonable - around $200.

Well, I left it on the backburner and someone else contacted ultracart with the same request and did pay to have it done...so a couple of weeks after I had asked about this feature, one of their support staff contacted me and told me someone else had paid to have Amember integrated and told me I, as well as everyone else, could now use it as well and gave instructions how to do so.

I am preparing a website/product that gives screencapture tutorials on how to use ultracart for an information product business.

Ultracart, after seeing samples of the videos, wants to use some of them for their own site.

Everything is in production now, so when it is up, I will announce it here.

However, I have a question I would like some feedback on.

I addition to the Ultracart Program, I am also preparing a program geared toward Newbies and Beginners giving them step by step instructions on How to Set Up All Parts Needed To Run an "At Home Info Product Business".

If you are interested in the Ultracart Program would you also be interested in having the Ultracart Program as part of the "Newbies Info Blueprint" or just The Ultracart Program?

    Feedback appreciated, thanks.

Id' be interested to get access to the intros/tuturials to be able to make an informed buying decision, but I think Ultacart should purchase it off you and use it to promote their product, for as long as they consider it suits their requirements.

jamawebinc - have you figured out how to handle backend purchases with amember/ultracart?

I've worked with some of my members on the integration, and made a video for them- but having backend order issues.

The problem is that ultracart uses the email as the username in amember. When the member wants to order a 2nd product or membership, they are sent to the ultracart signup screen again- what if they use a different email? They are given a new account in amember...

Steve, I use UltraCart and I love it. Their customer service is great. I really like their one click upsell too, which is the main reason I signed up for it.

    Hi Warriors,

    I just wanted to add....

I know Rachel bought Ultra-Cart for her project, we worked together to setup her site
and after many many hours of setting this thing up...few weeks later she just abandoned
it as it just did not work for her...so much work for a store she was trying to launch...

So you may do little more research before spending money on it.. I know it was not
good experience to waste Rachel's money and our time on a thing which never worked
    out for the said project....

    May this help,
    Mohsin

Digsea, their support USED to be excellent.

Try contacting them today and see if you get a response.

It's been weeks since they have responded to any of my emails or phone messages.

I'm really surprised to hear you say this about ultra-cart.com. Their support is excellent. sure, their system takes a bit more figuring out than say 1sc, but I put that down to the wider range of features it has. and any issue I stumbled across I just picked the phone up and they walked me through it step by step. in some cases, they just did it for me. How many times did you call their support?

to just abandon a project like that and blame the shopping cart sounds a little hasty to me?!

after looking and trying so many different carts over the past 18 months I'm an ultra cart convert. I agree though people should definitely look around, but the 60 day free trial they offer at ultra-cart.com should be enough time for anyone to figure out whether their cart will work for you or not.

I've recently gotten emails replies from support the same day.

They seem to still be fine.

I was actually just on the phone with them today. Actually...emailed them last week and got 3 responses in 1 day, then called today and waited about 5 minutes and talked to a guy who was VERY patient with me

But question for you guys - I'm having one heck of a time setting up a buyers list that can be separated based on what the person actually bought, so I have 2 questions.

#1 - Has anybody ever integrated Ultracart with Wishlist?

#2 - Has anybody ever been able to figure out how to separate buyers depending on what they bought, when integrating with Aweber?
