Why I'm Definitely Not Joining Empower Network

My experiences with Empower Network this week.
I attempted to join Empower Network with some
online credit card processing issues.

Reason for my valid USA Credit Card being declined
by the servers that Empower Network uses to process
valid USA Credit Cards. They are using a London, UK
credit card processor. Also expect to pay a 3% fee
from your USA processor. When I checked out activity
on my credit card, even to check for the credit card
being declined, was negative with no activity.

Called Empower Network Support for help and they don't
know what the problem is other then to tell me that my
computer has a proxy of 2,000 miles away and I don't
have anything wireless attached to this computer, it's
connected directly into my phone line. Called my Empower
Network Sponsor with little help or options.

Just recently attempted to followup with Emails with
Empower Network and their url support link will just not
load after 15 minutes. Sent my sponsor a Email with
my phone number with no response.

Do I really want to get involved with a company like
this with a few major roadblocks that they've had to
deal with over the years like not being able to process
USA orders with USA Credit Cards, because USA Credit
Card Processors don't want to process their orders,
so they chose to go overseas. A USA Company located
in Florida with USA Products that they can't process
on here in the USA. They've been banned from FaceBook
with allegations of spamming.

I'm back on the fence and was really looking forward to
becoming a Empower Network Afilliate.

Anybody online have these problems with Empower Network,
or their sponsors. Next option is to write snail mail letters.

Seems like it would be something to avoid rather than look into, if you are having that many problems getting started.

When it get's to the "I don't care what the problem is, shut up and take my money" stage, I had already bailed three steps ago.

Yes, sometimes pages (not just EN) don't load as quick as I'd like (I'm impatient), but I hang in there and it's usually due to some momentary connectivity issue.

For instance, I tried to log in to my bank account today, and it was down. I didn't go over there and yank my money out. Sometimes you just have to have faith that something will work - and that drives your success, I promise you. Yesterday, I spent half the day dealing with a firmware update for my wireless router - but I still give kudos to Linksys for working with me to get it right.

I've never had any problems with the EN system since I signed up. There's a phone number to call for support and they're very friendly. So far, when my downline contacts me, I haven't had any problem getting back to someone.

Best of luck to you and I hope you find what you're looking for

Disagree with your remark: "Obviously It's Not For You".
WHY, I'm not getting any help from support or my sponsor.
Support is very nice, but they couldn't resolve this issue
or suggest for me to call my bank to inquire about a block
on my account for international transactions. I called my
bank to inquire about any activity including a decline which
was negative (no activity). From your responses of being
patient, I think I did a very adequate job of doing that in
regards to solving this through support, my sponsor. It's
obvious that Empower Network might have a inadequate
online system if a simple support page can't load. Made
three attempts to get the card processed without success,
called support, called my sponsor and I'm still on the fence.
Not here to debate about this issue, just would like to get
it resolved and keep moving forward.

I literally just used the support desk about 15 minutes ago (unrelated incident). The link is working fine for me, just thought I'd put that out there.

Also if your card is getting declined the problem is on your end. Well, it's not your "problem" exactly, its (probably) due to the transaction taking place outside of the US and your bank will block it automatically thinking its fraudulent.

I had a similar problem with a different company, the issue needs to be taken up with your bank. Give 'em a call and explain to them your trying to make the transaction and they will remove the 'block' for you and everything should work fine.

    Hope this helped.

give the bank points for even if it's causing a problem for

I am French AND Canadian AND reside in the USA. My children are spread all over the world (Vietnam, Costa Rica, France). With this background, I am very familiar with int'l transactions. Until I dealt with Chase, I always had outrageous fees (really can't remember the rates). For these transactions, I now use Chase Sapphire: no foreign transaction fees! Not even a penny

Josh: Would you know what London, UK bank/institution is processing USA Credit Cards for Empower Network, because I know it's not on your
credit card monthly statement. Your credit card statement will show EmpowerNet followed by a 888 phone number.

When I call my bank, they might question who the international London, UK processor is, so want to be prepared with specific correct information.
Don't know if using a different credit card would help or would make any difference. Attempted to get the card processed again, and again there was a decline, reenter the correct information and try again. Information entered is correct, used this same card with another USA company that processes USA orders through a USA processor.

Thanks for the help and will keep trying until I get this resolved.

I do not think this is Empower Network fault at all.
A lot of it has to do with the Empower Network infrastructure itself.

I have been trying to join for 2 days. I called Empower Network ( EN ).. support several times. They told me it was my credit card company. I called them, nope, no transactions denied.

Then they told me, it was behind a proxy - I thought, oh dummy me. I'll go check that.. No, I was not behind a proxy - I checked, called back the next day and they told me it was their processor " allied wallet ".

Nope, I called them to, nothing denied by them.

Then they told me it was their system blocking my card because it was high risk - to their system. I used the card several times on many sites - they were fine with it.

Empower Networks system is blocking my card - no guess as to how long it would take before my card is not high risk. They said: to many factors as to why it is high risk. They told me to get a different card. I tried using my money network card, nope that didn't work. I loaded money on it and it didn't work. Called them back and they said the system doesn't except pre-paid cards. What? It's a money network card.. I guess that's considered a pre-paid card..

At the end of the day I do like Empower Network. But, they do have some real issues to resolve.

The only way is to contact your sponsor - pay them through PayPal, if it's cool with them. They can then call Empower Network and tell them you paid. That's the final resolution that was offered after all the trouble.

The only other thing one could do is to wait 48hrs, a week or many weeks for the card not to be high risk. If you've been charging a lot it could be that the EN System is flagging the card as high risk, not your card company and not Allied Wallet..

Well, I hope this helps someone else figure out their problem and how to resolve it.

And yes you do want a good leader who answers emails within 24hrs or less, at least most of the time.

Great reviews and I certainly appreciate all your input. I am also thinking of using DAP myself. So far, there are far more positive reviews. However, I would not discount the negative experience from jc0708.

Still dealing with this credit card issue with no success. Just called my
USA Credit Card Processor for support. After explaining what I wanted
to accomplish, they approved the international order. Made another
attempt without success. Tried another credit card without success.
I use these cards for purchases throught USA Credit Card Processors
without any problems, so the problem is on the international border
and not the USA border. Have one more option before I have no
choice but to walk away and move on. I'd like to know where David
Woods or Dave Sharpe are to help resolve this problem where their
support team was unable to help or offer options. These two guys
are the founders of Empower Network.

Sorry I'm late with my follow-up reply here's what you need to do -

Wait 24-48 hours and don't attempt to make the purchase. If you cleared the problem with your bank, you will now be getting blocked by Empower (Too many failed attempts locks you out for X amount of time, usually 24 hours, but give it 48 to be sure).

If you contacted your bank like you say, you will be able to make the purchase in 48 hours (I say this to be safe) it's usually 24 though.

Also to clear up, the above scenario happens on EVERY site, it's not just Empower. It's the security features to prevent fraud from your bank AND the payment processor.

        Hope this helped.

It is interesting that one of their major delays at the beginning was the credit card processing problems causing delays for their launch.

I've followed the company for a while (never an interest to join) as I try and stay tuned into Network Marketing companies.

I've not heard of such a hiccup. Does sound weird that this is the only case I'm hearing about at the moment and I do believe JC is having this problem and not just an online troll trying to give the company a bad name.

I did not know that the cc processing was done in London. I find that interesting. It's hard to really believe that can be very positive for them to have a cc processing based in London. I'm sure there are other MLM companies doing that so it's hard to know who does and who does not.

I have had an instance where an individual was sure they had the money in their bank account and their debit card was declining. My thought was that the bank was protecting the card since the transaction was in Washington state and he lived in Kentucky. I also thought maybe it was a slew of transactions because it was a special and lots of people were taking advantage of the special.

In the meantime, for JC to join EN he has to pay to join. That is the first hiccup he is faced with.

I joined EN over a week ago, maybe going on two weeks now, and after my account was created I tried to pay my $25 blogging fee. The transaction was declined. I whipped out another card and tried again...declined. I got onto their Billing dept to find out what was up.

I was asked if I had any 'charge backs' to my first card (EN operates a no refund policy) and I told them no, I wasn't in the habit of buying stuff then returning it before the refund period had elapsed. But I did tell the guy about an incident where someone used my details to buy an online subscription to Hustler that I subsequently had to get cancelled and refunded for. 'That could be why' came the reply from Billing. 'So what about the second card I tried?', I asked...'Probably because you tried again from the same IP address', he told me. I was told to try again in a couple of days time and I left it at that.

I tried again using the second card I tried, the one with no charge backs. It failed so I got onto billing again. This time I got a much more experienced EN associate and she started to run through things with me. Here's the good stuff...

She told me that they have a fraud detection system that pre screens your 'application' to part with money. The risk score you must get below is 6 or else your payment is going nowhere...it will be declined. There is a myriad of things that get checked but there are two show stoppers that you need to be aware of.

      1. A check is made to see if the card you are using was issued in the same country that you reside. In my case my first attempt was stopped because my card was issued in the UK (I'm a Brit) but I now live in Canada. My home address ties up with what my bank has but that means nothing.

Card issued in UK + Request to pay coming from IP address outside the UK = FAIL

      2. The 'Open Proxy' conundrum. During my second call to the billing department I was told that one of the reasons for my high risk score (85) was due to the fact that I was using some kind of proxy. I wasn't (to my knowledge) even though I have used them in the past. I had Foxy Proxy installed as an add on to Firefox but I had uninstalled it 9 months ago. We tried a few tests (trying to pay from Internet Explorer) but still my risk score was through the roof and still I was showing as having some sort of proxy operating.

I told the girl I would get a brand new card and then go to someone else's house to make my payment which I did. I had to wait 5 more days to get my new card. I went to my father in law's house and I successfully paid my $25 blogging fee using MY LAPTOP connected WIRELESSLY to his wireless router. I then decided to go home to complete the rest of my transactions as I'd been assured that once your card is in their system you should have no further payment issues. WRONG.

I got back home and to cut a long story short I was declined the $19.95 payment to activate my affiliate account with Allied Wallet (their merchant account based in London UK).

I waited two more days until today when earlier in the day I went back to my father in laws house with an unused card and tried to pay the affiliate fee. I used EXACTLY the same setup as before, my laptop, father in laws wireless internet, I even sat in the same effing seat at the table to do this. Result = DECLINED. WTF?

I've been on to billing 4 times today over this and once to Allied Wallet in London. The big stopper today was this OPEN PROXY nonsense. How, I asked them, could it accept my transaction on Wednesday but decline it today when NOTHING has changed in the equation except I used a different card that I know is good to go. They have no answer. They cannot tell you anything about this 'proxy' problem except that it's on my end and must be something running om my laptop or network.

I think it's all bollocks personally and is some random piece of code that executes for the wrong reason in THEIR system. I even checked with my ISP to see if they were doing anything unusual but they aren't. I tried another test to see if my score would come down any (it had risen to 93). I disabled my Kaspersky Internet Security, I connected directly to the router via ethernet cable, I disabled my wireless NIC (just in case), and still I showed up with an open proxy running.

This problem is affecting way more people than you may expect and if you look at it in monetary terms it's potentially a MASSIVE loss of revenue for the guys higher up because folks who are having this issue simply won't bother to get it resolved and will throw in the towel. Not me though...I'm committed to finding out what's causing this issue and I'll be back here to broadcast it when I do.

I wrote my first EN blog post yesterday...guess what it was about ? Todays blog post will be a follow up highlighting todays frustrations. Dunno if you can advertise links on here as I'm not a regular contributor but if you want to see my post go to EN...my username is robschofield...and for the love of all things bright and shiny DO NOT buy anything through my links because I'm not an affiliate and the money will go to my upline. Thanks for reading

      Rob
When you went over to your father in laws house, why didn't you use the same card as before?

Of course it will decline if you made the original payment on one card, then decided to pay the next product on a different card..

DO NOT buy anything through my links because I'm not an affiliate and the money will go to my upline.
      ^That part made me laugh

People sometimes have to get hit by a brick to learn there lesson.

Here are keywords to lookout as a RED flag

And if you buy a product or service before researching first, is

There is nothing wrong with your credit-card, the people at EN are having problems
processing new people to there so called service, because PayPal as canceled there
service and once a credit-card processing company as big as PayPal, the word gets out
to other credit-card processors not to take there business.

P.S. The company won't tell you this, because they what to keep things going. The FTC will
get wind of this company soon, and there assets will be frozen..

I think the Empower Network is still a very good system to get involved with (i'm strongly considering)

If you look at the Alexa rating these days, it is still super high with a ton of people visiting the site everyday...even this long after it first launched.

I am not apart of EN, however I have looked in to many programs like this. One thin I always look for which is a massive problem is duplication and making sure your downline can do the same. All I have found is people not having the money to run paid ads with EN. Plus I have found a trend of failures out weighing success.

EN is a great program only if you can generate traffic to your capture page which will be at a cost. if you were to blog, you still have to pay for link building, more costs.

This is why I joined a company where I can actually buy my downlines and have a call center call them on my behave, and my downlines can duplicate the same system without any problems or worry about paid advertising.

i've been semi interested in empower network, now i don't need to learn how to sell or whatever, i just want access to the network. i know it sounds silly, but those member websites are really ranking up there with other web2's (i.e. wordpress/squidoo) do a pre-launch jack search and you'll see 2 empower guys, a web2 and 2 bought domain names.
yea i know, why don't i just use the good web2's then? well i've actually come to learn if you try to build a web2 network wordpress2.0 is kinda restrictive, they do the afflink test.
i was wondering what you could do with the empower network, now is it 25bucks a month or 25bucks for membership, these mlm things confuse me (i'm not interested in the 100upsell or whatever, just interested in the network). cool thanks.

        https://www.empowernetwork.com/Membe...n=subscription

It couldn't be any easier. Some people just don't bother to look. And their customer support is very helpful too - if you just call them. But technically you don't have to call to cancel because it's brain dead simple to from inside of your account!! SMH

one way to try EN and be sure you will get your money back. In your paypal account sign up for a paypal debit card and make your payment through that, if after 30-40 days you are not happy contact paypal and they will get your money back. This is not a guarantee due to EN advertising on their site no refunds ( I believe, but I am sure someone will correct me) . Plus you can not expect to make a lot of money with EN within a month, although it is possible. Something to think about.

I am not the greatest fan of EN, but it would naive to think youtube is out right banning EN based on their creditably, which is wrong. Its the marketers who are buying fake views, likes and more who are getting banned. Although paypal, facebook have banned them so maybe Google and Youtube are next. But I very much doubt that. I suspect google to just blacklist the whole domain, this is something that could happen in the near future if people post spam.

The videos and entire channels are being banned from Youtube because there is a group of people purposely going out of their way to flag anything that bears that name.

Also note that many of these people who had their channels banned got them back simply by contacting Youtube.

      Google it - lol

EN is great if you have a large list and are prepared to sell them this MLM 'product', or have some other source of quality traffic. < ie. Work super hard getting a ton of traffic.

Also you will need to be ready to pull up around $1500 (I can't remember the exact amount) to be fully invested in all the products.

Personally I passed on this almost a year ago. Not my cup of tea.

I have also passed on this ages ago even though it is being regulary promoted and recommended.
The system is a pyramid scheme which is illegal that is why is is getting banned all over the place.
The mainstay is you pay $25 month for a blog but you have to get others to do the same ,Thats where you make your money.so they say
      it is a Pyramid Scheme

I have received a ton of emails about EN, and saved it all in a folder to investigate at a latter date. After reading these enlightening comments, I'll save myself the time, money and mailbox space. DELETE and don't look back! Enough aggravation at trying to understand the ropes
    Thanks to all.

Hmmm. I really want to join EN and know that there are some very successful people within. However I don't like what I am hearing on this thread.
