Hi Warriors!

Just a quick FYI that if you're an Amazon affiliate or you make Squidoo lenses, I was given access by someone I didn't know named Ed Chiasson to his product called Amazon Stalker.

I was happy with the tool because every time I review a Squidoo or Amazon product, the one thing that wastes SO much time for me is the prerequisite list that the product creator gives me on finding products.

They say things like:

It has to be over $250.
It has to have at least 4 stars for its rating.
It has to have at least 10 reviews.

I reviewed this fully on my blog with video to show the walk-through, but it's cool because you pick the parameters you want - bestseller list, hot new releases or movers and shakers (which I like for freshness of sales on all three counts).

Then you pick the category (or all), and then the price point - at least $20, $50, or $100.

You run it, then it gathers the info quickly - 1-2 minutes. When it comes back you have live links you can click to find it. It shows:

Product name
ASIN
Price
Rating (exact like 4.8)
# of reviews
Category
Hyperlink to the product

...and then you can sort it according to those categories, like most expensive or highest rating.

I like this. I don't know Ed but the tool downloaded easily and there's zero learning curve.

Cost? $19.99.

I tried Amazon Stalker, it's cool, it helps but this doesn't cover most of the important parts you have to do as a serious AMAZON affiliate.

No it's not built for the content strategy - it's the one element I spent the most frustrating time on - finding products that meet the 3 main criteria of ratings, pricepoint and review count.

The other stuff I can do myself. I just want to keep from pulling my hair out. This did the trick

      What important parts are missing?

This is a data mining tool not a tool to make your sites.

Setting up your sites and getting content is beyond the design of a data mining tool.

Amazon Stalker identifies niche high commission products, and what is hot selling, without this information first your wandering in the dark for what is selling.

Tif, as soon as I read your review of this on your blog I jumped on it - through your link, of course.

I'm grateful that there are some marketers like you (not a lot, but a handful) who take the time to steer us in the right direction.

I love sharing good stuff. And ignoring the crappy stuff Just made my first lens based on this tool so I'll keep you updated on how it pans out. Got mine from the hot new release list.

Could you post the link to your profile on Squidoo, please?
(and to the lens you mentioned above...)

Just seen a screen-grab of this software.

It seems that it's pulling a lot of results, but...
too many is like an overload of data...
So we are back to a time consuming chore to dig out what can be interesting or not.

    That said, two questions:

    1) Is it possible to save/export all the data?
    (as a .csv and/or a .xls file)

    2) Is it possible to filter those data by keyword and/or other criteria?
(so to limit the export or even just the "visual" analysis to those that seem interesting)

I am not a fan of demo-videos but in this case a sort of "live" review of the program features could be useful to better understand what and how this program does...

I don't understand how this is an over load of data

you pick the category and products
      pick a price that's it

it then finds products for the requirements you entered

plus it saves all this data automatically in a csv file for looking at a later date

can't be any easier than that

if you would of looked at the demo video all of features are shown and explained

you can narrow your list by only selecting specific products , when done this way
it returns small amounts of results not 100's

all the columns in the tool are sortable so you can view the results in the order of the sort
what kind of filters are missing?

Either way regardless on how many products are reported the tool saves you tons of work finding products to even consider this is way superior to doing this manually

as for thumbnails its a question of speed for returning results, it might be beyond the scope of this project, will consider this on how to implement it

this is still a work in process, many other features will be added
