Can anyone advise - some blogging system/script like what Empower Network used for managing user generated content?

I'm not interested to join Empower Network - so pls don't bother me. Thanks

I'm interested in your advise on - what script / system / platform they may have used to set up the whole blogging system?

It is probably a custom script since it mixes an affiliate system with a blogging script and lead collection system.

Yes, if you look at their site the blogs are being run on the Wordpress platform with their own customized theme and programming. If you are looking to create a similar setup the maybe Wordpress Multi-User is what you are looking for:

I've been so interested in this that I have actually managed to ''re-create'' their system, both WITH MLM features and without.

  I think this is more about the system, rather then it being WP or not. In Empower's original setup, it was WP, they switched to ENV2, realised they dropped in the SERPs and are now switching back to WP
  
  Most blogging platform these days ARE based on WP because it indeed is the standard
