I have no complaints. Their hosting works fine in my experience.

Just be warned they'll suspend you if you start an image hosting site on their shared hosting plan or if you start sending lots of emails.

  As would any host that offers shared plans. This isn't unique to HG.
  
  If you wanted to host an image hosting site or send out emails - be professional, get your own dedicated server and read the terms before buying it.

A+ for support and reliability. They're always available. I'm on unlimited shared plan. One thing to keep in mind: they mean unlimited BANDWIDTH, not CPU. SO if you're hosting a lot of sites with heavy traffic, enabling caching and CDN is a must, otherwise they'll take you offline until you make changes.

They're still the best value for your hosting dollar by far!

I have been on HG for twelve years. Never ever any prob.
Support chat is pretty good.
I do not see how you can go wrong with HG.
Also it is a profitable affiliate sale, keep that in mind.

Pretty good experiences with hostgator, been with them for 2 years and honestly I don't intend to change at all. The only down part is that I had to get another host for my Opencart shop because they no longer support it. otherwise great host for regular content websites

They are absolutely amazing. Good speeds, not too many domains per server (it is a shared environment after all)

The support is amazing. I've had a few times where I've had a brain fart and done something silly in one of my sites, and can't figure out what. They're brilliant. I use the live chat quite often to contact them.

Their hosting is fine.
Uptime is great.
Beware about billing if you are running too many plans because confusions may be there.
Be more active in taking support because many support executives just read first line of entire request so if you are writing 2 or more problems in one request then first one will be solved but others are not guaranteed.

They are top notch!... Somehow, don't ask me how, but my account was hacked along with my home pc, bank info, etc... All they did was delete all my sites(about 20).. Hostgator said it would cost 15 bucks to restore, so what I said please proceed... They restored my entire account then sent me a email saying they were not going to charge me because the hack was not my fault... I didn't care I was just pleased as punch they restored all my sites.

I really love their service, especially their customer support. I always get my doubts cleared and my problems solved within a few minutes of asking them (I tend to contact their chat support rather than their email support).

So, I really do recommend them. They have great up-time, reasonable prices and prompt customer support. I'm pretty sure you'll be satisfied with their service.

From my current experience, their server is getting better and faster in terms of speed and uptime.

I think they recently upgraded their server to 16 cores with higher memory to cater larger sites application.

By the way, I am on their reseller hosting plan and it was an excellent server.

i use em currently. Super fast lightning support. COmes with online chat support and phone support and email support. Cheap. Uptime 99.99999 for me. So go sign up with them already. i dunno what else ur waiting for. i cant complain. And i logged in just to reply to this thread..im normally lazy but hostgator deserves my positive feedbnack

the only negative we have found about HostGator (and most other shared systems) is their SMTP cap rate which is less than 500 per hour

if you are doing blog or inhouse mailing, that comes into play and that is the primary we chose Hawkhost 10 years ago - their cap rate is 1000 per hour

Ahhh!!! I tried my best to buy via hostgator but they didn't accept my credit card do not know why then I went to Ipage and bought from them. Features are almost same and support is great. The main factor is the price are damn low as compare to hostgator.. Well, I would love to get hostgator if i didn't find Ipage cheaper and same in quality

Uptime and everything has been good for many years, but I have noticed their support getting ridiculously slow. Not sure when it started but when i submitted several inquiries about small details about my sites they took quite a while to respond.

I am actually looking for a different host that focuses more on quality customer services, rather than being a cookie cutter service like McDonald's might be for fast food. Good though you pay the price as far as any thing personalized.

I have also noticed that chat takes longer than ever. A simple question about my billing taking 25+ minutes because the chat operator takes 5 minutes to verify I am me, another 5 to ask what i needed, and about 10 to figure out what I am talking about.

I think HG was good back when they weren't bought out, but for now I could use less of a cookie cutter service.

I cannot fault them on uptime though. Damn near 100% as far as I can tell.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Hostgator. I've been running my blog for over 2 years and I've had close to 100% uptime plus their technical support people have been real helpful. I would go with either them or Bluehost for web hosting.

I love Hostgator. I had talked to them a lot lately. First I had two accounts and I didn't want to loose my sites so I asked them to move them for me. I used Hostgator in the past, the support is great and so are the server. My only issue with them is if your site uses too many resources they will suspend your site without warning. It happened to me twice. Otherwise they're great

well i will throw my 2 cents in on this. I used hostgator for almost 2 years and found their support to be very good (email support that is) the live chat support always ended in the line send an email to tickets@ blah blah, so not sure if thats improved or not.

server uptime and reliability were always very good! never really had any issues just outgrew the reseller plan and wanted to move to my own vps (which they didn't offer at the time). They have been running extra discounts recently so check my site for updates.

I use Hostgator with high satisfaction, the only thing I do not like, is there so called "notes" which basically means you can only have a limited number of files in your account. This can be a probably if you receive a lot of emails because each one count as a note.
