What training would you recommend to newbies?

If you were going to recommend a course to someone completely new to IM, what would you recommend, and what kind of course is it (CPA, Clickbank affiliate, Amazon affiliate, AdSense, etc.)?

To me, a course for newbies would need to:

- be relatively low in cost (since most newbies don't start out with a lot to invest),

- have few additional costs (maybe web hosting and domain name, not too much else)

- explain the basics of the kind of marketing it's teaching (if it's affiliate marketing, it would explain what that was, how a sales funnel works if one is used in the course, that kind of thing; it wouldn't assume the newbie knew this stuff),

- either explain the technical stuff or provide resources for figuring it out (such as links to good "how to set up WordPress" sites, for example),

- would not assume everything would be outsourced, but might suggest ways to streamline outsourcing if it's used,

- teaches ethical methods,

- and most importantly, would actually work if the newbie followed directions. It wouldn't have to be a get rich quick thing, but getting a decent supplement to your income within a few months time ought to be attainable.

Bonus points if the process is repeatable and/or scaleable, if it's been around long enough to see if it really produces long-term results, and if there's good support from the course creator.

I'm asking mainly because I have a blog whose main audience is people who are new or new-ish to Internet marketing. I follow Tiffany Dow's method of reviewing and implementing courses that I recommend, and so far I haven't found one that I think is really a good, solid newbie course.

I'd like to find a course or two that I could honestly recommend without any qualms. An affiliate program would be nice since I am running a business, but I'd take a free course or one without an affiliate program if it was something I could recommend without any qualifications.
