Good voiceover software?

PRODUCT REVIEWS

I have a friend that has a kick ass voice for radio/voiceovers, and he just got fired from his job of 20 years last week. I suggested he try doing some voiceover work on fiverr, etc.

Any good software to check out that he can use? Something that records good sound (with the proper hardware) and makes it easy to edit and spit out a finished mp3?

Might be the wrong section, I don't know. Anyway, having an excellent mic, pop filter, and a soundproof recording room is 90% of the battle. Audacity is a good (and free) audio software to record and then edit/clean up the audio. It can then produce .mp3 or .wav files suitable for adding to videos.

yea just use audacity, the purpose of other voice software is to make mediocre to good, while your friend i guess already sounds great, you just gotta filter out background noise, etc.
also sometimes free is good or better than paid.
