Noob with Affiliate Marketing question for clickbank

I just bought google sniper 2.0 the other day. As I am studying the course I am learning alot about easy to make websites. However I am also learning that it is not as easy as George makes it out to be.
So much competitions and everyone and their mother is doing something similar with their own GS sites. Books that I want to promote already have five pages of listings. If figured the only way to make money with GS is to be the first person to post new products online as soon as possible.
So I am still going to continue on and set up at least one site and see how it goes. If I can make money off one site for one month then it might be worthwhile to explore other niches and set up multiple sites.
But I saw something online and that made me think. Can I use a cheap ad placing network to promote my affiliate link? If so where can I find a good service and more information about doing this. I tried the search option but It did not bring up any useful info. Hope to hear from you guys really need to earn some money online since ebay changed their search option. Now my ebay products are on the 6th page.
I was making about $500 to $600 a month with one ebook then it all went away. So now I am looking into other ways to earn money.
