Webinar Express- Does this make sense?

I just purchased Mark Thompson's Webinar Express. If you watch the sales video, he talks about how expensive GoToWebinar is to run webinars, and what a great solution his Wordpress plug-in is (and just as good).

Right after I purchased, Mark sent me an email to attend a webinar related to making money with webinars....using GOTOWEBINAR instead of his very platform he just sold me.

This doesn't make any sense to me. I haven't reviewed the software yet, but this is very off-putting. Any thoughts on this?

FYI...this is the sales page (non-affiliate):
Webinar Express |
#internet marketing product reviews & ratings #express #gotowebinar #make #mark thompson #sense #webinar #webinar express

  • Mark should know better. And yes, that would make me feel like I was duped. I mean, if he isn't confident enough in the product to use it himself, why should you?

    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • It doesn't make sense indeed.

Mark Thompson apparently doesn't want to use WebinarExpress or Google hangout himself LOL

So test the plugin asap... if you're not satisfied, ask for refund.
  • The webinar Expresss plugin I would rather folk start to talk about the pro and cons once they have installed and issues that may come up personally for me, before I buy....
so will check back here to see if anyone has posted info since this mark chap his selling it via his own sales page so no feedback- don't like that...

Oh and noticed in the demo video it implies to need a few third party products to make use of it
for example he mentioned email service he linked it with called Sendgrid that does all the notification that goes out for the webinar up to last minute etc just looked it up starts from $10 dollars a month.

any comments, reviews/feedback etc please let us know webinar Expresss

    • He offers Aweber, that did not work on mine. He told me to send my log in details and he will see it. Plugin integrated nicely in your blog. That allows to brand your webinars greatly. But there is no more development, even what I don't like and about to find out, where can I contact him, since there was few great bonuses in the back office, and one day all disappeared. Extra trainings and so.
I sent tickets twice about what is going on, however no respond.

    • Any reviews of the Webinar Express product? It looks interesting. Almost like a companion product to the Hangout Plugin product that is also on sale that uses Google Hangouts...
  • I can't comment on the plugin itself since I haven't used it. But, I definitely won't be trying it out now that I know the creator of it doesn't even use it lol
    • [1] reply
    • I think the function of the plugin got lost somewhere along the line....

Webinar express is not a webinar provider...Its a plugin that allows you to take advantage of free services if you choose....

You can use Google Hangouts or Live stream for actually delivering a LIVE webinar within the plugin.....It gives you more control....

If you CHOOSE to use GTW to deliver your webinars...Why not....I'm sure he has already paid for GTW...Why not use it.....

Webinarexpress has really cool features for replays....Which.....it doesnt matter where you recorded the live webinar...It will be a video file you upload....

Should he be delivering the webinar through the product....Sure.....And I bet the replay will be.....But...Why not use the service he already pays for....

  • Hey guys,

Before you start bashing the product (before you even test it out), let me explain why we did this.

First, we used GTW for the bonus webinar because Mario Brown is presenting the content and he wanted to use his GTW account.

Secondly, JV Zoo integrates with GTW so it can automatically register the new members....making it easier on our customers.

Third, you don't have to use SendGrid. You can use your own AR for the follow up sequences. SendGrid is an alternative if you want to utilize a stone alone reminder system.

Fourth, all of the Masterclass webinars WE are hosting are utilizing WebinarExpress.

I would appreciate before people start leaving negativity, to USE the plugin....then leave your thoughts.

If you don't like it, thats fine....we can't make everyone happy. But I can tell you right now, small business owners, entrepreneurs are going to LOVE this alternative!

Unfortunately product creators can not launch products in the forums anymore because of people trolling them without even checking out the product.

    What can you do.

To the new members that have purchased WebinarExpress...we are happy to have you. We are looking forward to your feedback and making additional feature enhancements an growing this new software.

    • Hi Mark. I just sent you a PM.
    • Hey Guys,

Before making broad brush comments and erroneous comments about the product creators, you may want to actually know your facts.

Several months ago, I approached Mark about creating a Webinar solution that ultimately became WebinarExpress.

The reason I did this was because I've been using Google Hangouts for MORE THAN a year, and could see its potential to be a great alternative to paying upwards of $500 per month for a GoToWebinar account.

Accordingly, not only was I wanting to create a Webinar solution I could use, but also one that would benefit all other Internet marketers out there who are sick and tired and fed up with paying outlandish monthly fees.

We've had many beta testers and new customers already tell us they love the product. And, we've already given us excellent suggestions for feature enhancements that we are currently considering for future releases.

We've built WebinarExpress with the LONG-TERM in mind... not to make a quick buck, but rather to create a high-quality and professional Webinar platform that is an excellent alterative to GTW for those looking to save tons of money each and every month AND make money with Webinars.

In reference to the Masterclass trainings, Mark and I are conducting our Webinars on WebinarExpress not only because we are the owners, but we are proud of and stand behind our product; we know it's a great system and look forward to continuing to develop it for our customers.

On the other hand, Mario is not an owner of our system; we just want to provide excellent bonus content and value to our customers to help them reach and achieve their IM goals and Mario was so gracious to offer us his valuable time and content on crushing it with Webinars.

For those that actually purchase and take the time to install and utilize WebinarExpress, we want to hear your feedback and tell us your thoughts and any suggestions you may have for improvement. We want to know because we want you to be successful using it as it's a win-win proposition for all of us.

      Thanks.

      Anthony

    • Hi Mark,

Haters gonna hate. Meanwhile, I am very interested in buying Webinar Express and think it looks VERY cool, but have a few questions and need to explain before asking you to see if I'll be able to replicate how I"m doing my webinars now. The way I've been doing webinars has been more informational, less selly, partly due to my particular niche - though now that I watched Mario's webinar that's about to change! I've been "renting" a spot from a friend who uses Webex, creating a video of my pre-recorded presentation. I use a lot of videos and don't want lag time or tech glitches. I can also do live webcam stuff before and after for Q&As.

So first, will I be able to do that? I'm sort of newbieish at all this, so forgive a dumb Q.

      Then, after watching your demo:

      - I've gone to G+ and done a lot of hangouts. In the demo you said something about the hangout showing up in the video within the plugin...on my own site in your plugin? Is that right? So I'm running the webinar from my site?

      - Will the webinar or can the webinar be private, like if I'm running a group coaching sesh?

      - If people sign up through Facebook, I don't get the leads, correct?

      - You said your mail service can send up to 200 emails a day. What if more than 200 people are signed up and you want everyone to get a reminder an hour prior to the webinar? What do you suggest?

Thanks, - as soon as I get the answers, I want to buy it before the $47 goes up!

PS Your webinarexpress.com page is beautifully designed.
    • Have tried to contact Support are you guys out of business?
    • I have Webinar Express. I bought everything. Plugin, Masterclasses, Development Rights. And I use it. However there was some bonuses, I am missing those, since they are not in the back office. Tried support, no respond. Why?

    • Mark,
I know you are selling a Lite Version, a Professional and a Developer's.
The Developer's does not appear on the sales page. If I want to get the Developer's do I have to buy any of the two before? If yes, could I buy the Lite and jump then to the Developer's?
I am trying to save me some money of course, if possible.
      Thanks
      • [1] reply
  • Anthony,
Could you tell me how much is the Developer's version?
  • The developer rights is $47 if you purchase the Pro version, $67 if you purchase the Lite version.

    • Hi Mark Thompson. I would really appreciate you responding to my PM.
  • Hey guys!

I remember when Mark came out with Bonus Press a couple of months ago. I jumped on it.. tweaked it a bit, and made around 500 sales.. That's UNHEARD of.

I want you to view Mark's products as completely mold-able.. flexible.. to fit your marketing fantasies.. You dream it - it can be done!

Some people see the pitch and think .. ok.. that's exactly what I have to use it for.

BUT I use it for something completely different:

    SUPPORT!

I have live trainings.. customer support.. newbie questions..

ALL those can easily be a Google Hangout, and I have been using Google Hangout for this purpose.. so it's nice to have a plugin that can make my Google Hangout's look pretty!

Just some nibble-on food for ya. You get what you focus on!

    Thanks!

  • The initial posts and those following were of an inquisitive nature. I don't think there is any problem in sharing a thought in a forum, isn't that why we are here? I said straight out that I had not even installed the product, so this wasn't a response to the product itself...rather the confusion that it wasn't being used in the next upsell I was offered. I see nothing wrong with commenting and opening discussion on that one fact. That is all. To say I was bashing the developers just isn't true.

    Steve
    • [1] reply
    • I agree Steve and think that your original comment was valid and relevant.
Last week I bought Walt's Hangout Plugin and then within days got an email from Mike Johnson saying that Webinar Express was being released and what a top product it was. Only because I know Mike to be a straight up guy who's word is honest and true did I check out Webinar Express and saw the value in the features and in the fact that Mark & Team only put out really solid software so I knew it would be good so I jumped in and purchased without further hesitation.
I too was intrigued to see the first webinar in the member area being hosted by GTW,.. in fact I was shocked as I thought this was in very poor taste and just a trifle stupid by someone(s) that ought to know better.
It sure didn't deter me from staying with the product and I never once thought "oh this is so terrible,- I must refund". I did submit a tongue-in-cheek ticket about it and got a nice reply which basically concluded that Mario Brown had an account with GTW and as it was basically his webinar decided to use the resources he already had.
I don't think it's a big deal and I have no doubt we'll see Mario actively using Webinar Express in due course. That said,.. it did cause a bit of a stir but in a way its a good thing as it just draws more attention to an excellent product (maybe they did it deliberatley to cause a sensation?).
As for Walt's Hangout plugin I am also keeping it as its a great product and has merits of it's own that make the plugin a valuable and worthwhile tool in its own right along side Webinar Express. Added to that is the fact that Walt is also a stand up guy who is committed to the product and in helping all members get the most value from it. So to those who already have or are looking at either product I'd say that they both have strong merit and I'm sure delighted with both and glad to have them both included in my list of tools.
I look at it this way,.. for around a hundred bucks (give or take a bit depending on when and what you bought) you could own both products and that's a very (rather, extremely) low investment to be making in order to connect with your audience and markets for a fraction of what you had to previously spend every month up until now. If it was triple that price it would still be great value!

We hear the expression "game changer" a lot,... but these products certainly carry that credential without any doubt in my mind.
Thanks again Steve for starting this thread and for adding true value to all warriors in that we can openly discuss anything relevant within the IM sphere and benefit from such dialogue in a meaningful way!

  • Hey folks

    Please forgive the silly questions..

I've never used Google Hangout (had to Google it just to find out what it is). So I'm a super noob when it comes to hosting webinars. Here are a couple things I'm not clear on:

    1. Does this plugin allow you to host a webinar for free (other than the cost of the plugin)? And if so, considering I have no idea how to set this up, is any training included with the purchase?

    2. Would this solution allow me to host a webinar for my subscribers and invite someone else (like a JV partner) to speak to the group?

    Thanks
    Ricky

    • [1] reply
    • Yes to both of your questions Ricky.

You get training inside the membership site, plus lots of additional
      training in several bonuses.

You could host a webinar with guest experts.

    • Hi Alex,

Great question. Right now we do not have that capability. GTW utilizes a desktop app to control that. WebinarExpress is a web page that has webinar functionality built on the page.

We are going to look into additional features like that for the future. Currently we have the Q&A feature built-in or 3rd party chat integration.

Luckily as Google Hangouts continues to improve so will WebinarExpress :-)

      Mark
  • That's pretty funny, and BTW I was grandfathered in to the old pricing for gotowebinar. I pay $99 a month for 1,000 attendees. Im so lucky to be locked in at that price!

  • I played around with the Webinar Express plugin on Friday and so far, am finding it to be excellent. I'll have more of a review after I use it during a live event, but set up and customization plus features make this is a very valuable plug in for any marketer to have in their arsenal....More after I use it more though.

  • One of the things I miss is the ability to schedule LIVE webinars in more than 1 time slot. I know how to work around it in the Hangout Plug-in. simply create a new entry and have a new registration page, count down clock etc. Then add the link in the content. Not ideal by any means.

Do we have the ability to do this in WebinarExpress? Or do I have to create an opt-in registration page for 11am, for example, AND for 8pm?

If so, anyone can recommend best practices?

    I don't mean replay. I mean LIVE.

    Thank you in advance.
  • Well I am not sure how I can get Mark to give me a product link. The product looks great and I NEED IT NOW! But his support definitely needs improvement.

  • Too bad hearing all this. Was looking forward to trying out the product. Powered by on a paid product is a no go for me.
  • Hoping to hear back. I'll keep you all posted. Hoping for resolution as this product has potential.
  • Guys, why all the negativity?

Mark and his products are well known among marketers for great support.
You all seem to not know much about him or this business.

It is in the middle of a major launch, wait a few days and you will get your answers.
If not you have 30 days to get your refunds.

Edit: You are not dealing with a large company or paying large company prices. Please take that into consideration when expecting service. One day when you guys promote your own products you will understand this

To the people on page 2 of this thread (above): It would be my guess that Mark would rather not have cry babies as customers (and I completely agree)...Although he probably won't say it in so many words...

Chill out while the rest of us enjoy these great products

    • are you kidding me?

When I go to a restaurant and order sushi and plum wine, I expect just that. Then I pay the bill. I get excellent customer service when my water glass is partially empty. I get wasabi when I ask for it and I get more ginger if I so desire.

When I purchase a product that i NEVER received and I send a support ticket and multiple emails, I expect the durn product. No product, no response, no nothing.

I say that you, sir, are out of line. It is not negativity when you speak the facts. Negativity is someone who is an incessant whiner when he has no justification. Folks who claim negativity when presented with facts are just barking up the wrong tree and need to simply mind their own business.

Again, I have not received the product, I have yet to receive a response from customer service, and even though $27 isn't earth shattering, I disputed the purchase with PayPal. What did you expect me to do? Cower in a corner and say "Oh well. Dem's da breaks"?

So Joshster, stop being a Jokester. Prelaunch, Launch or Postlaunch... customer support is key. Product deliverability is key. At least that is how I run my business and so do many others. If not, they are quickly OUT OF BUSINESS.

Crybabies? Are you SERIOUS? You certainly can't be. That is asinine.

      Best to you!
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • You can't be serious, right? People trying to do the service of warning others about spending money on this product because they have not received either the product or a support response in over 24 hours they are "cry babies"? Please elaborate.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
      • [1] reply

    • I could not read this and not reply, any products I bought from Mark have evaporated, help desk gone, domains unregistered and tools that don't work (because of callback to non existent domain).

What I DID get was a prolific amount of spam, I used dedicated emails for each product and each time I got spam to those emails from many 3rd parties. I expect a marketer to email me not to give my email away.

He should make sure that a product is ready for market rather than use paying customers as guinea pigs, on WF people do this all the time, they have an early bird list, reviewers and beta testers.

You have only to look at Mark's WF profile to see people complaining about products and refunds.

Oh and we are all Cry Babies! What you are really saying is that if you are dumb enough to buy from him you should not really expect any SERVICE.

Yet the one thing big and small businesses have in common is that good service results in repeat business, while poor service results in a bad rep.

  • Folks just discovered there is a well know Marketing guy called Jason Fladlin who is also an expert using google hangouts he just did this week a

They discussed big mistake that people make with hangouts and the massive benefits from using google hangouts to grow your business and your presence and profile online..Fascinating

How to monetize, build your list and how google automatically pushes you to the top of search engines and SEO which is really eye opening...well worth seeing!

wow, never realized how powerful hangouts can be...I am very new to IM and not at all techie inclined either so using the new plugins discussed here could be incredibly Useful

Anyways, Go to youtube insert Jason full name, followed by words: 'google hangout' and see the various vids by date order or one of the latest...or see Superhero Summits - YouTube

Now imagine using some of their ideas you heard (plus yes he has a course to plug in this vid as well sounds good actually) Especially combined with webinar express and or the other plugin

Share your thoughts on this as well as what they said in the youtube various vids....

  • All I can say is the negativity is astonishing. People do seem to like to jump the gun here! I've bought several things from Mark (List Eruption, WP Social Tracker, WebinarExpress, and considering BonusPress). Each time I've always gotten my purchase and tickets have been responded to within (surprisingly) a couple of hours.

I can't wait to see the new features they're coming up with in the next couple weeks. Grab the $47 dollar version, definitely worth the cost. Mario had a members only webinar today which had amazing content in it, taking you by the hand and showing you how he gets people in and engaged. Worth it!
  • I bought it, and I love it. No problems with the delivery and it works exactly as advertised. The new features will make it even better. $47 very well spent, IMO.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • I have been otherwise occupied the last few days.

My product research of Webinar Express did uncover this important stuff ....

Be careful ... when you Create New Webinar, the Name of Webinar you give each will become part of the Webinar URL which is what you give to participants to come to your events.

If you want to do a series of events which will use the same title, think ahead.

Each new event created if you use an identical title, will tack on a -2 or -3 or -4 etc to the end of your link text.

In the Pages section of your Wordpress Dashboard, if you just delete Pages from Alland you want to reuse a title/slug without having a -2, -3, -4 etc tacked on, you will not be able to delete altogether.

It would look like you fixed the issue but you didn't.

Have you guys seen what I am talking about here?

Well, to fix it, you have to go into your Pages Trash and Delete Permanently to be able to reuse the title / slug.

Now I also updated the plugin today and here is what I saw ...

Webinar Express now allows you to Create a Webinar, then Add New Blog Page and choose instead to show on that new page your chosen webinar campaign instead of what you might type in there.

    IMPORTANT
Did you know that when you install Webinar Express, it pushes all your Pages into your Pages Trash folder?
    • [1] reply

    • What the heck it adds your pages to Trash bin?

Oh my gosh that's a huge concern and nightmare having to go through them all to check everything is back in order...
      WOW!

  • Wow. Tough crowd...

I bought Webinar Express a few weeks ago. I've spent a lot of time creating a webinar, the content, etc. I had a lot of questions, and someone from support has answered everything in 24 hours or less.

Here is my resulting landing page: Arthritis and Dietary Supplements

I'm not marketing this webinar much because I want to run through the complete process to identify any other bugs or missing details or errors on my part. For example, yesterday I noticed that the Google Analytics JS is not working. I'll ping support about that later. That's not a big deal right now since WE captures funnel data.

But so far, I'm quite pleased with it.

They both use wordpress both seems real good BUT....The latter one actually look really good and was launched a while back ONLY just found it's info today and seems to do more over and above webinar express plugin?

Plus quite a few folk now had time to use it (Easy webinar one) and all kinks when first launched now seem totally ironed out, gosh confusing with these webinar plugins and googlehangout intergration etc working out pros and cons!

and just now PM him (now just waiting back to make my mind up based on his reply) oh and has great demo videos on his site and teaching. hence this does seem (in my opinion) now better choice

That said though, please give me/others here feedback one versus the other above mentioned and your thoughts?
and I will decide this weekend!

    cheers Jenny
  • I think he wants FAR too much for the functionality. $247 for a 10 site license? Ouch. Webinar Express does the same stuff for a one time cost of $47. $47 vs. $343 for the unlimited version. Easy choice I think. Looked at the Google Hangouts plugin too, but this offered more of the functionality I wanted and the pages look stunning.

Actually Kinda like that cheating er yes, but sometimes maybe real handy... webinar express I don't think does this feature?

Anyways these were just some of the things I spotted that this plugin does seem to do more that webinar express right now and seems to me very handy?

  • Jenny, as far as i know EasyWebinarPlugin's core engine is server based. The plugin connect to Casey's server... so on server timeouts or crashes whatsoever ... well, fill in the blanks. Webinar Express plugin is "standalone" . Mark and Devine will update the plugin soon. Here's Mark Thompson mail on this: [ ....Here are a few features we are looking to add in the next few weeks:

    - Live "Automated Replays - Will allow you to play
a recorded webinar but simulate it so it looks live
    to the attendees

    - Make the Free Gift optional on the Live Webinar
    Page

    - Add a few more Designs/Templates, that are mobile
    optimizes/responsive

    - Direct Google Hangouts API connection, so you can
    create hangouts directly inside WebinarExpress

Thanks again for everyone's purchase and look forward
to seeing many of you guys on the free bonus webinar and
    Masterclass Series!

    Thanks,

    • My only question is: Do You Want Support? Check and see how responsive the product creator/promoter is. It has already been said that the Webinar Express owner is very unresponsive and will not support his products after the sale.
  • Kegan, i hope you wrong... anyway time will tell.
  • Does this do automated webinars or is it just a replacement for live webinars from GTW?
  • It does do automated webinars. They've updated it.
    • [1] reply
    • I suppose it could be a little unnerving creating a viable alternative to webinars and the first webinar you're invited to comes from gotomeeting, but when I pause and think about it it really doesn't matter what the development team uses, so long as it works for your business.

I really didn't know what to expect when this came out, but I was really impressed! The attention to details which allow any stream not just google hangouts to be used like a webinar is just ingenious. I now have done 5 webinars and the response I received was so positive.

The other competing product when this one was released was good but in my opinion webinar express blew it out of the water.

For me, the Webinar Express team knocked it out of the park on this one!

  • Well, I just ran my first Webinar Express webinar.

It worked flawlessly. I really liked the Live Q&A.

I had some sound issues, but that's an issue on my end. I sounded a bit like I was on a cell phone.

Now I'm going into YouTube and try to edit the video a bit.

Else, compared to GoToMeeting, I'm thrilled to have this tool in my marketing arsenal.
    • [1] reply
    • Have you tried creating registration for a new webinar? I'm wondering if you have the same issue that I do. It redirects to the thank you page of the prior webinar and not the webinar they are registering for. Thanks.

  • I have WE and have used it for one webinar so far. But when I went to create the 2nd and 3rd webinar I came across an issue. I have e-mailed support and waiting to hear back but it's been several days. What happens is the user gets taken to the thank you page of the previous webinar and not the thank you page for the webinar they are registering for. Any who has the plugin had that issue and know a fix? Thanks!
  • Hi guys,

The price went up, from 47 dollars to 297,00. For this price there are many other options...

What are your thoughts about the price and other options?

    Thanks
  • Like what? And remember that price is still a one time fee. I get the sense that sometimes, just sometimes, the IM community is cheap..knowing the price of everything but the value of nothing.even when spending a few hundred gets you software that will make you thousands (Camtasia studio too).

Even at 297 it is a steal compared to 99 a month for the basic go to webinar (100 seats) and $500 a month for up to 1000. Having said that I'm glad I jumped in when it was $47 for the dev edition
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Absolutely right, Russell! Having said that, I'm glad I got the dev version @ $47 rather than $297...

  • My 2 cents.

I believe the product is great, easy to use, lots of functionality and the pages look stunning.

I also believe that at $297 it is too pricey (I got it at launch and paid a fraction of that).

There hasn't been any updates or anything, which makes me think it's not going to be a well supported plugin. I personally have not had a single problem with it, so I never needed to contact support, and can't tell you if that's any good.

Sitting on the fence? I love Webinar Express, but I probably wouldn't spend $297, if I wasn't already making money with it (which is where you'd be if you were considering buying it, right?).

I was going to buy this but your concern makes me nervous. I just got an email from Mark about a outsourcing webinar and noticed he is not even using this Webinar Express for his webinars he is using Leadpages so that gave me reason to pause. That does not seem like a very good endorsement. Guess I'll hold off.
  • Today has been exactly 90 days since I contacted Mark. He has not responded to this post or to my individual message. To say that he is a responsive or helpful marketer who is concerned about his customers would be a fabrication. How can you trust someone who has a history or promoting products that don't work right, won't respond to support requests and won't even respond to a basic request? He was very quick to get on this post and defend himself at one point. It is my experience that once you buy a product that Mark promotes you should not expect support for that product. It may be that he is expecting people to buy the product but then not use it.
  • I bought Webinar Express when it was $47. I've run two webinars with it (a third is this week). I really like it, but I've had a few minor issues, perhaps related to the recent WordPress updates.

I've also tried getting help from Support, but they've stopped responding for me as well. Oddly the members area is still open, and the home page (webinarexpress.com) says they're making improvements.

So who knows what's going on. Maybe the next version will be great. But it's a shame that Mark & Support has disappeared.
  • They're dealing with server issues big time and are working on the next update (which will include automated webinars). I contacted Anthony Devine (one of the partners) at his gmail address (if you're on the buyers list, you've got it) and this is what he told me, and apologized for not getting back.

    • Since putting in a support ticket about a problem with the plugin on the 13th of this month I have not had a response or even an acknowledgement. However, since putting that ticket in I have had 4 (automated) emails from Mark promoting another product he is involved in selling....does anyone here think I'll be parting with any more of my money for his products?

Yeah... that's a gigantic load of crap. That is always the pat answer when something has been abandoned. I've learned that these guys abandon stuff a lot. The developer on this is was Dylan Jones a.k.a. Agency Scripts a.k.a a bunch of other names.

He was in trouble in here before for opening multiple accounts and if you have been in the WF for any length of time you know this is Dylan's M.O. I learned that lesson back in March 12' after buying his Local Fusion:

So write this on off too boys it ain't getting fixed.
  • I'm just reporting what I was told...
  • Yet Webinar Express is a darn good product that definitely fills a need.

If Mark is abandoning Webinar Express, I think someone should make him an offer to buy it. If someone put the right resources behind it (especially support), then it can be a real game changer.

The fact remains that current webinar systems are too expensive. Google Hangouts are there waiting to be used. WE provides the bridge needed to make it all work.

There's no doubt that Webinars are effective. It's a technology problem which Webinar Express has actually solved. It just needs some attention and support.

    Hmm...

The other thing I noticed is that support for Mark's other products (List Eruption) has also disappeared. Again, it's a real shame because that is also a decent product.

Not to be morbid or anything, but is Mark ok? Alive?

Or has he just disappeared to some far-off, remote village, never to be heard from again...
    • [1] reply
    • Never to be heard from again?....Since I submitted my support ticket, which he has STILL not responded to, I've heard from him 9 times promoting other people's products...it seems he IS still alive somewhere but skulking in the background!
  • They just sent out an announcement (not a promotion). You might want to check it out, new support email and a few other things. If you don't have it, let me know and I'll forward it to you.

Has anyone upgraded WP to 3.6.1 and still have a functional version of WE?

    • Translation

We fell out about money and will now go our separate ways.

We are leaving the existing product with Anthony but with no income stream we don't expect him to be able to support it.

We are taking the same code, calling it something else and making lots of promises (never trust any marketing message or product that uses the word "massive") but really it is just vaporware.

Really just don't bother us with support and stop complaining about us, go ask Anthony because er "the server was down" YEH RIGHT.

I don't know Anthony but based on my experience of buying at least 3 products from Mark Thompson, I would rather put my trust in him.

      • [1] reply
  • Thanks cypherslock for the heads-up.

I too didn't get the email. Nothing to spam either!
I get plenty of other emails from Mark and Anthony about other affiliate offers so with that I assume there's normally nothing wrong with receiving their emails.

Whichever way you look at it, it seems their support and communication to their registered licensed product users is not at all anything like what it needs to be.

The email you copied in here at least seems to indicate that they haven't abandoned the product and that we may be able to expect some improvements via the renaming and rolling out of the new version. Let's hope that prevails and that the support picks up pace as we move forward.

Again,.. thanks for your input and the updates. Most appreciated!

    Best regards,
    Russell Hall
  • I purchased Webinar Express quite a few months ago (when first released) whilst researching webinar platorms. This WP Plug In is rather interesting. I had a couple of questions in relation to using the software and these questions were answered reasonably quickly by the support team.

What I found - that this might indeed be a very useful WP Plug In to host webinars however for what I am doing - Webinar Consultations (a concept I developed for small businesses and organisations) - and having clients who also host their board meetings via webinar - this plug in is not suitable as the recording is directly uploaded to YouTube. Which due to the information discussed on the webinar consultations or board meetings is not suitable to a YouTube environment.

The Webinar Express Plug In uses Google Hangouts as it's core aspect which directly uploads to YouTube.

Therefore if you are going to us this plug in for training and/or sales webinars it could potentially be quite useful and save you heaps of $$$ and you want the recording to be very public. For the services I provide I indeed had to go to a webinar platform provider - Go To Webinar and pay the monthly access fee. Which is in AUD rather more than their US price however the support they provide for their platform is the best I've ever come across.

Hence in answer to your question - the Webinar Express WP Plug In could potentially be quite useful - however it really boils down to exactly what type of webinars you intend to host. For me - I've safely stored it on my computer and at the right time I will give it a real work out. For now I'm happy providing Webinar Consultation services to clients using a webinar platform provider.

    Hope this assists.

    • Seriously.

I paid $47 for the ability to host and conduct live webinars on my own web site. This gives me the ability to a) distribute that content and b) have it transcribed and turned into a report for email list building, and c) build our reputation and expertise.

I'd say it was worth $47.

      Why whine about it?

  • I repeat do not, I say again, do not trust Mark Thompson and any product that he ever endorses in the future. Webinar Express is a flakey product and the partnership that has created it was totally come apart and they are NOT supporting it at all.

Here's a quote that I received from a recent email from their people after several support requests:

    • [1] reply
    • Would be nice if they would post the new support e-mail or website here for the rest of us.

  • It's very problematic when you purchase a product and the creators disappears, only to be replaced with some new owner who claims to have updated the platform but wants you to buy it all over again, forgetting the promise to provide updates to registered users free.

    • I got his mail some weeks ago from Anthony Devine's helpdesk regarding my question on Google hangout API integration:

      Hi (....),

      Thank you for your question.

As you may be aware, Mark Thompson and Dylan Jones (Dylan was original developer and partner) are no longer associated with WebinarExpress, having left the project recently as announced in an email to all WebinarExpress members 2 weeks ago (on Septebmer 25th) that purchased the product and did not opt out of receiving emails. Anthony Devine has now taken over sole ownership of WebinarExpress and WebinarExpress.com as stated in that email.

Prior to Mr. Devine taking over, his former partners had apparently made some statements and comments regarding potential enhancements to the plugin. Unfortunately, upon taking over the plugin, none of those potential enhancements had been either worked on and/or completed prior to this ownership transition.

As such, Mr. Devine, who was provided with the plugin code without any enhancements, has very recently retained a new developer to review the plugin's code and to make comments and recommendations regarding certain points, including any potential enhancements to the plugin. Mr. Devine is acutely aware of the Google integration issue and is looking into it as a part of this process.

However, at this date and until the new developer gets back to him with input and recommendations, Mr. Devine does not want us to provide customers with any false hopes or promises of deadlines or dates for any potential enhancements as he wants to make sure we provide our members with accurate information.

What we can tell you is that as the person that came up with the idea/concept that is WebinarExpress, Mr. Devine is serious about this plugin developer review and will inform all members of the status of the plugin and any potential enhancements in the near future; as soon as he can.

In the interim, we apologize for any inconvenience any statements and/or comments made by others regarding potential enhancements, especially since there's no one more that would've like to have taken over the plugin with such enhancements as Mr. Devine would have, but that was not the case.

Thank you for your patience and understanding! Be on the lookout for an update sometime soon. Also, be sure to look inside the members area as we may be updating members there under the "Support" tab.

      Best Regards,

      WebinarExpress Support Team

So Kegandrew was right after all...
  • So what's the latest on this? Is it gonna be updated or what?

Such a shame, it's such a cool plugin, the only update all of you could benefit from is automated webinars where attendees can choose a date/time to attend, and then the webinar is delivered automatically as if live. If you know how to do that, let people know on here.

    • I bought a program that does that and a whole lot more. I haven't had a chance to try it but it's been around a couple years and is still supported by the creator. I don't believe we can post links for competitor's products here so PM me and I'll pass on the info.
      • [1] reply
  • Since many members on the Warrior Forum are having problems with some of the “programs” sold here for doing live or pre-recorded webinars, I thought I’d give a quick review of a program I bought that does a whole lot more. It's been around a couple years and is still supported by the developer. I don't believe we can post links for competitor's products here so PM me and I'll send you the link.

The webinar software I own has a ton of amazing features that I haven’t seen in any other platform (and I looked at several before buying it for myself!). To get a true appreciation of the power of this software, there is an excellent video on their sales page that walks you through all the features. It’s about 57 minutes long but the time flies by as you discover all the clever things it can do.

What really impresses me about the developers of the software is they continually add new features without charging for upgrades. It has really evolved since I bought it. And it’s extremely user friendly – something many of the other webinar platforms really lack.

One of the main reasons I bought this particular software is that you can record a video of your presentation prior to the webinar and have it play during the webinar as if it were taking place live. That’s so cool because you can edit the video and eliminate any long pauses or slip-ups – anything that can go wrong during a live recording can be eliminated PRIOR to broadcasting the webinar.

At 26:00 minutes into the sales video for this software, you will see what makes a pre-recorded webinar seem as though it’s a live presentation. There is a live chat box where actual attendees can write in their questions and have them answered live by someone who is monitoring the pre-recorded webinar. Very cool!

They now offer the ability to do live webinars like GoToWebinar – but at a FRACTION of the cost. Check it out – you’ll be glad you did.

Since forum rules don’t allow posting links for competitor's products here - PM me and I'll pass on the info.

  • Hi All,
I've read this type of post before in relation to Webinar Express on WF. Um, I think the product vendors are right - if you want a review of a product then fine - if you prefer to understand what the product is about first - great. If you just want to dump negativity and make assumptions without asking the product vendor first - then maybe you should consider how you would feel to have your reputation trashed.
I did purchase the product when it first came out - developer's license and the support was great - they got back to me on a question I had re time zones virtually within 24 hours.
I was investigating this product because - it was a good alternative and also whether it would suit what I wanted to do in relation to webinar consultations.
For product webinars and training webinars where you want to give the information away for free - then this is a very good alternative to the major webinar providers - and if you want the information to be directly uploaded to YouTube.
For me I ended up with a webinar provider - not because I didn't like Webinar Express - but because the webinar consultations I hold on behalf of businesses, need privacy - therefore cannot be uploaded to YouTube to be on public display. This was the only reason I went for a webinar provider.
Hence - if you're thinking of Webinar Express and you don't need privacy settings to be in place - then this product I'm sure will be quite suitable in the main.
If you require your information to remain private or you want to upload your webinars to a paid members area - then you will, like me, need a webinar provider - because Google Hang Outs override all else and immediately upload your webinar to YouTube.

Thanks for the opportunity to provide this review. I have no business interests and personally don't know the vendors from Adam - hence it is an honest review and response to the questions. Nor was I asked by the vendors to give this review.

    Good luck with your endeavours.

    • I do not think that there is a problem mentioning alternative products like the evergreen business system (google it) you are obviously referring to, it is just the posting of aff links.

Evergreen business system is a very different product, much more feature rich and they recently added a live version for an extra $69 bucks a month, of course it costs $497 so is not really comparing like for like.

Of course if anyone seriously wants EBS feel free to PM me and I will split my commission with you, but to be fair to this product they are not the same thing
  • I don't think it is compulsory to keep webinars uploaded to YouTube from Webinar Express. I'm sure you could delete the upload afterwards? Or make it unlisted?

For me I was holding out for an automated webinar feature which Webinar Express doesn't have. In fact they haven't updated the plugin for months. The good news is that I've been getting emails from them saying they are relaunching. I emailed them and asked if they planned on updating th plugin to have automated webinars. Anthony replied saying yes. So watch this space I guess. It's the only thing preventing me from buying Evergreen Business System.

  • @Maderemark, hope you'r not referring to Webinar ignition... As this is from the same guy who sold Webinar express and took off... glad Anthony Devine take over. So be careful all with Webinar ignition...
    • [1] reply
    • No, definitely not Webinar Ignition. The one I recommend costs quite a bit more but I don't see people complaining about that product.

We're all familiar with, "You get what you pay for." Definitely applies here.

  • I'll stick with Anthony, just hope he gets the automated webinar function out. I didn't particularly like the fact that at the time of release I paid $47 for the top tier (enterprise) version of Express. Then, two weeks later it went up in price...Happy me...but then he released a bunch of bonuses for those that had the Enterprise edition, which I did...problem is, it was only for those that bought it at it's much higher price. And there was no mention of them on the sales page. Needless to say, I was NOT impressed. I've bought a few things from Mark Thompson over the years and have been generally happy. But the way he treated older customers and then ran off on Anthony does leave a bad taste in my mouth. Where I come from, you don't do that.

    • Hi, everyone

I purchased Mark's other product 2 months ago " WhitelabelMillionaire" which is a high ticket product $297. His customers support desk really is the worst service that I have even experienced. ( I had purchased a lot of product from other people, no one is like this with poor product service)

Once I submitted the ticket, just 5 minutes later, I logged on my support deck to check ticket status, then my ticket had been closed with a GREEN BOX shows that Info. I even didn't get the email to confirm that my ticket has been created, and the ticket has been closed.

What a ridiculous and poor service they have. I had submitted 5 or 6 tickets, but just 2 got response when I just purchased from them the first 1 or 2 week. ( I think they answered my question just because that is still within the 30 days warranty) Then, after 30 days, all other tickets I submitted always no any response and were closed soon by them.

I strongly suggest you guys DO NOT buy products form MARK THOMPSON.

Every WebinarExpress customer has been granted a free Pro license of WebinarIgnition. If you have any issues with gaining access, simply email support@webinarignition.com and we will get you taken care of.

If there are ever any issues or concerns, how support team has been averaging a response within 30 minutes on weekdays and about 3-5 hours on weekends.

We have been listening to existing and new customers and been following through on all of our promises in terms of feature enhancements.

We have additional features in our development queue that we are excited to be rolling out over the course of the next few months (can't tell you just yet). You will also probably notice new WI updates every few days...as we are fixing any known bugs or issues extremely fast.

Thanks for everyone's support during the WI launch, the feedback has been outstanding.
