I got SEO Mindshift. What a waste of time. Old hat stuff i.e H1,H2,H3 tags etc...Absolutely nothing new in it and very like ebooks that kicked around 10 years ago. Almost everything in it is out of date in terms of todays SEO techniques.

Asked for a refund (oops I sent it to his email address linked to his paypal account, what a crime!) and got this reply:

"Ok, I have just found out that you have disputed two purchases and escalated them straight to a claim. Firstly, ALL support tickets have been dealt with within HOURS so if you have submitted a ticket please let me know the number because I know for a fact you haven’t submitted one. Please don’t say you sent an email to my Paypal email address which will understandably be buried in a sea of Paypal notifications. That’s why I have a support desk!! Which is accessible from the sales page.
Secondly, disputes can be damaging to my business Paypal account and it was completely uncalled for. Anyone requesting a refund has had one and I can prove that.
Thirdly, you bought through an affiliate so this now means that YOU have COST me money... as I cannot claw that money back from the affiliate. Well done you.

Now to let you know what I will be doing J

I’m going to get you banned today from the whole JVZoo network... so this means that you will no longer be able to purchase anything via JVZoo which is most of the offers that you see being launched everyday by vendors.

‘m also in a number of large JV groups and they will also be notified of your details so that you will be blacklisted from buying from any of them too.. We all like to protect each other from buyers like you.

I’ll take this on on the chin... but really.. you could have saved both of us the hassle by just submitting a refund request via my support desk (which you haven’t done) and you would have been refunded that same day."

So, I have no refund becuase I accidentally sent an email to his paypal email account and as I got no reply I escalated it to a claim. Well boo-hoo, some of you need to be more disciplined about reading/managing your emails. And the price of my simple error? No Refund.

Tell me, is this the way to treat customers who make honest mistakes? The vindictiveness is unbelieievable. Guys, send me my refunds and I will delete this post.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't buy. That's very vindictive and unprofessional. and over what, $10? (it was this when I looked). I had an issue like this, and instead of letting me refund, he opened a dispute...and it was over $300. I didn't blow my stack, just worked with paypal and no harm done. But this? wow.

Glad to help...Completely overhyped product. Honestly if you know basic SEO then you dont need this product. Post Penguin most of it is irrelevant.

I would also add the English in it is rather strange and looks like its been through a spin re-writer or possibly written by someone whose first language isnt English.

I'm going to email the chap back and send him to this thread so that he can see where his bad customer service has got him. He claimed to have refunded everyone who asked for a refund but becuase I did it the wrong way (i.e I emailed him direct instead of a support ticket) he has chosen not to refund me.

Knowing that his $10 grabbing attitude is costing him far more in lost business is some small relief..

Paypal should help in this instance. They seem to take the customers side. In my case, I was about to hit the refund button after I'd talked to him, and literally two minutes later he disputed. So, I called Paypal and told them what was going on. They closed the dispute and refunded his money. An unnecessary step, but I didn't lose sleep over it. I'd give PP a call were I you. It's not that the $10 is the thing, it's the principle. Show them your emails back and forth. Give this fella a good swift kick. He makes the rest of us look bad.

Paypal would'nt refund as it was an "intangible". Seller has said he had refunded yesterday, then said he couldnt refund via paypal (I think whathe means is select the transaction and hit "refund")..either way I have pointed out sending money to me is easy on paypal :-) as you say its the principle..watch this space..
