Do you think Authority Pro 3 Plugin is good to buy. Want your opinion.

Hi friends,

I get an email from a warrior I respect a lot and he recommending Authority Pro 3 plugin.

I have already purchased Profit Theme in the past. Now I am thinking about getting this plugin because of its responsive nature.

I have seen that in the past Authority Pro 2 sold for an $97 and we have to pay $97 per year for support and up-gradation. And I also know that Pro version 2 is not good one. Even the respectable warrior I am talking about also confirm that Version 2 is waste of time and money. But now he is recommending Authority Pro 3 Plugin.

Now I also find that it is selling for $27 (mutltiple sites you own) with life time update and $47 for Enterprise edition (means you can install it on client site also). In the past we have to pay $97 per year now it is available for cheap with whole life update. This seems to me too good to be true.

From my experience I come to know that if there is something is too good to be true than I know that it is not worthy to purchase.

But if it is true that this is worthy than I wanted to have this plugin. Because this sale is only for one week. that is why I am seeking your opinion.

Kindly tell me your opinion about Authority Pro 3 Plugin. What is your experience tell you.

Sanjay Sharma

WP is a very difficult target for hackers, unless it is set up without the recommended safeguards.

Set up with admin as the default administrator and a dictionary word as a password, guarantees being hacked in a day or two.

That said, after seeing the sales pitch for Authority Pro I see little value.

      Hi Simon,

Bryan, developer of AP here and while I certainly respect your opinions, I just couldn't disagree more with your summary... and most of it reflects very little on the software itself.

Would it help you make more money if you could suddenly put up great looking pages that clients would be HAPPY to pay you for? Wouldn't it help you make money if you've got a site in any niche that's getting any amount of traffic and you could generate lead and offer pages that actually convert and look like a pro did them? You say that it's not useful to you especially if you're only focusing on a few sites. There's so much wrong with this statement, but the short point is, why would it matter if you have one site or 10 sites? If your business is one site, how would AP have any less of an effect on your business?

It wouldn't help you with clients to be able to create great pages for them with state of the art technology and all the bells and whistles, while you, secretly in the background have to click a few buttons? All the while they think you're doing hard labor and pay 10 fold the effort and investment you actually have to put in?

Because WP sites are easy targets for most hackers. Further, you might install it thinking that it's 'easy' to use, but in reality you still have to do a lot of the stuff on it yourself and unless you're a PHP coder you're not going to be able to make a lot of the changes that you might want to.
There are easy and proven ways to protect your sites. One of the easiest is simply doing regular backups which many plugins will handle for you. Also all of the stuff the average person would need, you don't need know a lick of code. And for those additional needs, that's why developers develop plugins, many of them for free.

You won't be paid much for that because you convinced the client that this is the most 'advanced/easy/non-coding' platform out there. (And yes, I speak from experience).

WP is good for thin affiliate sites and some other similar fixed functionality site, but it is NOT a 'one-size-fits-all type of platform).
Really? Most of the largest sites on the Internet run WordPress. It is by far, the most versatile and easy to use platform out there - plus it's free. Matt Cutts runs his own sites on Wordpress. Is he a thin affiliate? How about large news sites who run WP. Are they not doing themselves justice by doing so?

It's not. This won't make an IOTA of difference to how successful you become. So if you're going to buy it thinking that somehow it will boost your bottom line, it won't. The drag-drop stuff is only useful for guys who're building very simple funnels. And you could make funnels that simple with some very basic stuff in WYSIWYG editors without needing to use WP or AP3.
First, AP3 WILL certainly boost your bottom line if you have the means to use it. And creating great pages that convert is literally THE difference in someone who is and is not a successful internet marketer. The drag and drop "stuff" is not basic. Please do try to code the following page that AP generates with the click of a button in a WYSIWYG:

It ain't gonna happen, man. No way, no how, you get the same results. Oh and remember, the time element. Time is money, my friend.

The hype is justified. It's a next level system. Asking $47 for it is a joke. And I guarantee that you will get much more value out of AP at $47 than from $47 worth of traffic. Like I said, respect your opinions, just find them to be rather off-base and again, not a reflection on AP itself.

Hi sanjaysharma. Let me give you an unbiased user opinion of this tool. First let me tell you that I am not an affiliate, (although I should be and may be in the future), and I don`t know the creators other than my experience with them as a buyer.

Probably like you, I have bought entirely too many I.M. products from both here on the WF and elsewhere. Some are awesome while others are truly pathetic.

I actually bought AP2 at a much higher price than what AP3 is being sold here for and it is an incredible product. I believe you said that some marketer told you it wasn`t, and I don`t know his reasoning, but it was/is an incredible product. Like you, I also own Profits Theme and I like that product very much as well.

These tools while they do some things similar, they are different. I run a number of sites and I like to use a wide range of themes and tools to keep my foot print as small as possible.

AP2 required a small learning curve. Anyone could use it, but you did need to hunker down a bit at first to use it to it`s full capacity. But the new AP3 is a group of plugins and while you will need to learn some things, I believe most will find it pretty easy to use right out of the box, (so to speak).

I have had good experiences when I needed support. They seem to have qualified support staff that try to be polite, helpful and reasonably responsive (usually they respond with-in 24 hours in my experience).

So as a buyer and user that has nothing to gain, other than my desire to help you know what my personal experience with the product is to help you decide, I highly recommend this product.

The nice thing about AP3 being a plugin, it will likely work with Profits theme, giving you many of the best features of both.

I want to say that while I respect simonjnh`s right to his opinion I almost completely disagree with him. I run and operate both html sites and wp.

WP can be vulnerable if you don`t know the basics and because it is heavily recommended to newbies, they often don`t and that makes their site vulnerable.

Of course highly experienced marketers also get their sites hacked and I know of at least one that lost an entire business back in 2010 and had to start over.

Having your site fully backed up and backups in several locations can protect you from hackers. But that has nothing to do with this product.

It was suggested above that this tool couldn`t help you make money. Buying it alone will certainly not make you any money. But having a tool that is easy to use and that allows inexperienced and experienced marketers alike to focus on other activities because they can quickly and easily set up entire sales funnels can and will absolutely help you make more money if you will simply use it.

If a client finds that the tool is easy to use and wants to buy it then sell it to them using an affiliate link. But usually clients are clients because they don`t want anything to do with the tech side of their online presence. That is why they pay someone else to do it. A basic wp installation is very easy, but clients pay for it to be done all the time. WP is free, but they pay to have a wp site. That is the nature of clients.

So if you are looking to buy AP3 just to sit on your hard drive don`t buy it. But if you want to harness it`s cool and powerful features to help you build professional looking sales funnels quickly and easily, then I say run and get this while the price is still low. As I said, I paid much more and love it.

I have also receive a message from Nazar explaining Bryan has just become father.

Although i understand it's a special time of everyone's life, i then think it was the wrong time to make such a launch as the plugin is buggy and needs quick support.

I bought this 2 or 3 weeks ago, can't even remember and i am not able to use it yet because of bugs to be fixed.
No support (not blaiming Nazar who has been kind enough) and the refund date is getting close wich is not fair as i didn't buy to get a refund but if i can't get my issues fixed i must ask for that and lose the opportunity to even try it!

So Bryan, please, get things right asap as i am personally stuck on my projects because of the plugin not working.

          Thanks,

Thanks Friends for your valuable feedback. But it confuse me a lot.

I am not agree about the AP2. AP2 sucks and really bad. This is told to me by an experience warrior whom I respect a lot. I have no experience with AP2 so this opinion is based on someone else experience.

But as you said that you are entitled for your opinion.

I am waiting for more feedback so that I can decide to go for enterprise version or not.

One more thing I wanted to know from Mr. Bryan that is the support available to us life long or it is yearly.

    Hi Sanjaysharma,
I don't know if this will help you much but I thought I will add my opinion.
I bought AP3 (no, I am not an affiliate) yesterday after watching the sales video. I briefly played around with it and it does seem versatile. I have not created any website using it but it does seem to have a lot of options.
Looking at the the comment by Simonjnh above, I would agree that there are other products on the market that will achieve the same result. One that comes to mind is Instabuilder (no, I am not an affiliate) which I bought when it first launched and I am sure there are others as well.

In summary, I intend to give AP3 a try because of the perceived simplicity in using the functionality.
    Cheers

Hi brought it and have been testing the making of a page but I am using WP multi site and I assume this is the issue.

It is very slow when working with it, about a 2 to 3 second delay between edits. When I hit update wow, it takes like 5 mins to finally finish and my macbook pro fan screams on to make it all happen - really not sure why it has to do some much work to update a page on a server?

Also have an issue conflicting with another plugin I think cause the 'preview' a blog post feature doesn't work now. Take out Authority Pro and it works again.

Really sick of this tech shit and plugins that waste so much of your time!

I expect for this is because of WP multi site, support have told me they never tested on WP multi site, which is always a disappointment with these plugins if you have lots of site and are using WP multi site.

I have to use a stand alone WP site to be able to use it, other wise it drives me crazy with how long it takes to get things done. Would I save more money getting the design completed with a designer?

I just bought and I have the same problem, it is very slow to make any changes (note that it is a new installation without any other plugin) for now I take 10 minutes to change the header, I'm really impressed with this plugin and I can recommend but sincerely hope you can take action on this

I have the same issues. It is very slow and almost every time you update the page it "freezes" up for up to a minute. Every time I decide to make a sales page with it, I start and it just takes so long to make the page because it's so slow I usually end up quitting.

Is there a fix for this? or is my issue unique for the most part?

Does anyone know if this plugin will enable us to create sales pages without the 'boxed' look, i.e. where the content takes up 80 to 90 per cent of the screen width and perhaps where the sales page can be segmented in different colors that stretch 100% from left to right of the screen?

This plugin is based on the Twitter Bootstrap framework. What they have done, which I think was very smart, is to front end the framework, so to speak, with a plug in.

I have used this framework before with html pages and it does save you a lot of time and effort. If you do create HTML or want to see what this is all about, you can go to Bootstrap. It is free.

Now, if you want to create html pages with it and want a frontend like this plugin, you can head over to https://www.easel.io/. These guys have an online build a site product. It is free for up to three pages and you can download a page to make room for more if you don't want to pay them.

If this plugin does what it says, and I just got it today, it will make my job a lot easier. It is a tool, nothing more. It does not generate profit, impress customers or make money. That is your job. But, having said that, it is always nice to work with a good set of tools.

If you don't own a plugin that does this and you are involved with internet marketing then this seems like it would be a good choice and $47 is a good price to pay for what has been demonstrated.

If you already own a plugin like I do (I own instabuilder) be warned that these type of plugins impact performance on your WordPress blog. It's just the nature of the beast.

I also own and use both profits and optimizepress themes and am happy with both. In fact, I prefer to use the themes for sale pages, squeeze pages, etc. than i would instabuilder.

I'll also add that I've never purchased an IM product that was as good as how the sales page conveyed and AP3 is probably no exception.

The sales video has far too much hype and way long for me. Like I said, $47 is not a bad pricing point especially if you will ultimately need a tool like this for your business.

        Good Luck!

          Hey Danny,

I suspect the preview issue could very well be wp multisite. As for the speed, the delay would grow the more the page became complex. I've been working on this over the last couple days and have come up with a solution which will be released as an update early this week. Even on very long complex pages, everything is available instantly.

          Hi,

You can definitely do that. You can literally do whatever you like. AP3 is a full-featured page builder, including layouts. You can add unlimited sections and style them how you want with the built in options (which cover 95% of things). If you're really a power user, you can add you own custom CSS to the page level all the way down to the single widget/layout level.

And btw, for anyone who is interested, there is a full demo here: Authority Pro 3 - no smoke and mirrors or hype. What you see is what you get, although the demo doesn't begin to cover it all.

          Thanks guys,

OK, Bryan. I have watched your 'on screen' demo video multiple times. You don't actually demonstrate the page builder, so the missing piece might be there. I would encourage you to do a thorough demo/walk-through of the page builder part of AP3, not just the sales builder ... so people can see the full capabilities according to what you stated in reply to my question"You can literally do whatever you like. AP3 is a full-featured page builder, including layouts. You can add unlimited sections and style them how you want with the built in options (which cover 95% of things)."

In your 18+ mins video, there were three different pages you created, and none showed me what I was after.

8:45-11:45 mins: Sales page on a two columns page ... obviously looks very narrow and squeezed for that reason alone.

14:30-16:00 mins: Sales page on one column page ... better, but you still use a narrow boxed look for most of the content underneath the video (with a border around the box)! I am also wondering to what degree header and footer heights can be adjusted ??? (via the options panels and NOT by having to add custom CSS code...which is what most people would want to stay away from...it's these type of products they are attracted to for this reason!).

17:42+ mins: Exit Squeeze Page ... again, you are using a boxed look with a border around it.

Furthermore, I noticed that the optin boxes stretch to about 80-90% of the layout container when taken out of a 2-column layout into its own element (as you demonstrated in the video) ... to me, it looks way too stretched with the name field too wide. Is there any way in the options to adjust the layout and design of these optin boxes provided by AP3?

To illustrate what I would like to know...how can Authority Pro 3 be used to create a page like this.

Please re-read what I had asked originally (see below) ... and show me how this can be done using AP3, i.e. the various segments that make up such a page (not this boxed look).

Perhaps you can offer a demo login, too?

            Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the heads up...yep, it does look awesome. The only thing is that if you are running a blog and want several sales/squeeze pages for various purposes on the same domain, a plugin would be better. In fact, the page I linked to seems to be a html template - not even WP driven!
A sales page theme is good if you want to promote just the one product or service. However, running a blog and doing promos etc, in order to use a theme like this for it, you'd have to install and run WP a second time on the same domain, in a subfolder. I have seen many websites (mainly blogs) that are running OP (which is a theme) like this, in a subfolder. I don't like the idea of running WP twice on one site...for performance and security reasons.
I'm actually thinking of looking into html templates as an alternative for sales pages where a blog is already in the root folder.

Bryan here from the Promoted Publishing team. I hope you're getting along well with AP. I just wanted to alert you to the fact that there is a new version of AP available.

For all the details, and instructions for updating, check out this video:

              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLOn9XUT8KA

              Faster and More Responsive

I've radically changed how the plugin crunches data, meaning there's been a huge increase in speed and responsiveness. Check out the video above to see just how big the difference is.

For example, on more complex pages, there would be a slight delay between clicks. Now everything is loaded instantly no matter how big your page is. Also, updating is much, much faster.

              More Templates

We've added 5 additional templates including a fully done for you niche squeeze template. We'll be doing a lot more of these pro level niche squeeze templates in the future.

              Very Important:

I mention this in the video above but I want to reiterate it here. For this particular version (won't be the case in the future), when you update to the latest version, be sure to clear your browser cache. You can do this by loading your WP admin panel and then doing:

              ctrl+r for pc
              cmd+r for mac

This is a hard refresh and reloads all the files fresh. Reason being, if you run the new version on cached plugin files, you might experience a few issues. Again I cover this in the video, so please do watch it here:

              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLOn9XUT8KA

Thanks again for investing in AP3 and we look forward to delivering even more awesome stuff in the near future.

              Cheers,
              Bryan McConnahea

PS: I forgot to say that I also noticed that literally 95% of all page content of the sales page to promote AP3 itself, are actually IMAGES ... i.e. just minimal actual text was used that would be search engine and bandwidth friendly - I wonder why that many images were chosen to be used and almost no text?

    Hi all,

I'm about to buy it because the price is excellent. However, the sales page does not mention the sellers, developers and it does not contain any contact information if needed.

Does anyone know who are the seller of this plugin and contact information just in case I need a support from them?

What do you think about the plugin? If looks awesome :-)

I'm thinking about creating just two simply pages. One optin with video and one thank you page. Even though is just two pages, do you think the plugin will slow the site down?

Do you know a similar plugin to this one? Optimize press look excellent but is a bit expensive for me at the moment.

For the price as of today Authority Pro is very well worth the price. The ease of use and steps to help are very well put together!

Brian posted in this thread above that they have a fix and its being released this week!

While there are thousands of plugins for WP for optin pages and thank you pages and more, some are priced high.

My suggestion is get it at this price because once its updated it will rise in price!!!!

Now I said I removed the plugin from my test site, but only because i was testing it out to see how it works, I was very inpressed with it as I own and tried many plugins and I own most of the top named plugins. It comes down to this..... Time is money and Time is needed for family and friends. This plugin has the edit options for fast changes and fast design. The only thing slow was waiting for an update to update, which btw at the end the product performed very well and produced good results. The plugin works but I myself get impatient at times. So I do recommend it!

You can also do a search for wp optin page plugins as there are hundreds!

I really want to buy this plugin but where are the support contact details other than their "help" desk? Their help desk knowledge-base is pretty much non-existent (based on the the above link). Surely it should contain relevant information about AP 3, correct? But it contains no reference to it at all.

I see no other support contact details on the AP 3 sales page unless I'm missing something(?). Where do we address our presales questions??

I also think it would be far more beneficial to have a PROPER DEMO rather than just a video...

    Thanks!

I purchased it, and so far have had nothing but problems with it.

When I installed it (fresh install) there were errors.

When I try to use the Content Builder for most of the templates, it loads a blank screen.. the only templates I can use are the mini squeeze templates.. nothing else loads properly.

and I really need this to work .. like ... yesterday... I'm losing money.
        Support ticket open ...

First support ticket I opened they told me to just turn off my error display in my wp-config...... not sure that was the best solution since the plugin isn't working.

Don't get me wrong, it's awesome and I haven't asked for a refund yet, but I sure would like to get to work.

        UPDATE:

So it turns out that the plugins I bought as an OTO cause AP3 to load the blank pages. It works when I turn them off, but I'd prefer if everything worked properly WITHOUT deactivating all my plugins when I want to create pages.

        UPDATE #2:

I'm definitely having fun with this plugin now, but I really wish it worked with all the OTO's I bought with it enabled as well.

Damn, I was waiting for the update to come out to see if it solved the delay issues and now the price for enterprise is up to $97. I'm assuming that there's no chance to get this at the $47 now that the issues have been resolved???

Shemp, it did, it loads everything much faster. Suggestion: grab it while you can, I'm pretty sure they're going to bump it up again. Even at $97 it's worth it. As an aside, I know that most of us view those "the price will increase in 7 days" as scarcity and shady tactics. BUT, it seems as though they're sticking to their guns so to speak. I bought Webinar Express as I saw how useful it was (bye bye monthly $500 GTW fee...) at $47..Got the emails of course saying that they would bump it up to $297...Checked sales page...they DID...glad I got in when I did.

I really can't afford the $97 this week. I hope maybe they'll lower it again for a limited time since they fixed the problems. I'm sure more people would be on board since they acknowledged the delay before the fix????

You would hope, eh? Yeah I just got into it with the creator of Webinar Express, who basically said that one of the bonuses was only for those that ponied up $297 for the SAME plugin, at the professional version, not for those that smartly got in for $47, again Professional. Pain in the ass.

I will now definitely NOT buy it. In my experience, when product vendors do not come back here to answer questions and respond to requests properly (see my post ^), instead decide to dismiss them and then just double the price without responding ... this usually is an indication for product and/or support abandonment shortly after.

          Shemp

OP is an amazing product. Has a bit of a learning curve but once you got it - its awesome! Well worth every penny of the price!

AP3 is a plugin that can be added to any theme, Op is comming out with an update that can be used for a theme or plugin.

They are both good products. While I own many of these themes and plugins I seek Time savers because time is money and time w family is priceless! Plus internet marketing is changing way to fast and everyone is trying to keep up with it.

I recently got fast group deals and like it alot. I also got easy deal builder which is an amazing product. All these products are to try differant approaches to sale and marketing.

I find AP3 to be a fast time saving plugin that looks like it can only get better. And OP is preffered by some of the biggest guru's out there.

Its a hard decission to make, but I can only say if you are looking to save time then AP is looking good. If you dont mind the learning curve and taking the time to build your pages then OP it!

I purchased AP3 and WarriorPress along with all the plugins.

I have to turn off all the plugins to get AP3 to work.

AP3 and the plugins cause errors immediately on a fresh WP install.

WarriorPress won't protect any content, I can't even make the login or register forms in it, I click the button and nothing happens.

When I make a blog post, it shows up as blank unless I use the content builder, then it shows that blog post 3 times before my logo or menu items, THEN displays the blog post correctly below all of that.

I had to turn error reporting off in my wp-config
I had to add "define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);" to my wp-config to even be able to enter the license code because the page was loading blank.

All in all it's been a real headache trying to get this to work properly.

With all of that being said, it's really an amazing product (when it works)
and support has been slow to non-existent, and I'd guess it's because so many people are having issues with it.

There should have been far more extensive testing with this before it was sold.

The worst part of it all is that the support is so slow ...

*Sorry I'm frustrated and running out of money fast*
I just want this to work so I can get something accomplished.

I don't usually complain about a product, but I have installed AP3 on a brand new WP site, meant to just do all the neat things that AP3 says it can do... I can't get ANY autorepsonder codes to work in ANY of the Optin pages. Huh? Other stuff seems to be fine and I really do like all the drag and drop stuff... but I had to MANUALLY insert an Optin box in a page via raw HTML to get my pages to work.

Support seems to be non-existent. Or at best worthless. Anyone else having trouble getting a simple optin page to work?

How are you trying to do that?

(There are links to tutorial videos in the plugin itself)

You're supposed to use the raw html code from aweber.

When you edit the autoresponder widget there's an option called:
      Autoresponder Form Code (HTML version)

you just post the raw HTML into that box and save it.. (make sure you close the edit window and reopen it to make sure your code actually saved, I've had it not save before)

If you have any issues, shoot me a message.. I'd be glad to help ... I'm stuck waiting for support right now and can't do very much of anything.

Just a heads up for people who are in the same boat as I am (waiting on support)

The head programmer just had a baby and has been busy adapting to being a new father as I imagine...

The support team got back to me and told me that, and that they plan for an update around Wednesday (which I'm guessing will address many of our issues)

I recommended to them that they might have wanted to blast an email out and let everyone know, but hey hindsight is 20/20 right?

This is going to be an awesome product when it works I'm so excited.

Thanks for your message, good to hear that but I HOPE it is true and not just a way to buy time.

I say this because i have been told by support more than a week ago that last WEDNESDAY the update would be available but, of course, no more replies from them or plugin updates.

So, tomorrow is Wednesday and will see what happens.

I'm so fed up if buying stuff from WF and too many times get a crap support.

Time to start buying from a more reliable place probably...

Definitely worth it, especially with the new push editor. It is responsive (though much of this also depends on your host), and easy to get to grips with.

I am still having problems. Tech support is painfully slow.

    Maybe someone here can answer.

This is a brand new install with no other plugins.

    The diagnostics works perfectly.

However, when I try to anything from the dashboard, it takes me back to the home page of my web site and nothing.

    Any ideas how to solve?

    Not impressed with tech support.

Update, tech support just got back to me.

Said yesterday was his day off. Seems to me that the Bryan should hire someone to cover. Pretty bad service.

      Problem still isn't solved.

I took a gamble and just purchased this after I watched the update 3.1 version and the new editor..
It did have some initial error messages but I put in a ticket and within 24 hours they responded, I put in the required code in my wp-config file and it has been working great ever since.
This new visual editor where you can do live previews takes a lot of the guess work out of building a page, this should reduce the amount of previews you have to refresh to do which saves time for me.

So far its a good product, but again I am still testing it out. Will provide a future update after more implementation.

Any word on that update yet?
I haven't gotten any emails about it yet....

                EDIT:

Well I updated.. or should I say.. well.. it was a process that's for sure.
The AP3 Installer won't let me update, it gives me a fatal error something to do with memory...
So I download the plugin and upload it manually via FTP and viola updated.... wrong.
So it's updated alright, but at first there was no more AP Pushbutton Editor button.. nor was there anything other than a place to write a title and the main content window, the normal Page Attributes were missing along with a save button.

So I uninstalled it and deleted, then I reinstalled it after disabling WarriorPress. Alright we're back in business! it works ... and I wanted to add the neat new Social bar to one of my pages, when I added the new widget I got a "Warning: Illegal string offset" but I could still edit the widget and move it around etc.. so I did and I saved the page.

I tried to view the page and it gave me "Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 27262976) (tried to allocate 16384 bytes)"

So now I can't use it at all and I'm sad.

                  Hey David,

It looks like you may need to increase the amount of memory that can be allocated to Wordpress. By default, wordpress limits memory that can be allocated to it, to 32M.

To increase your memory, try adding either of the following lines to the top of your wp-config.php file:

                  ini_set("memory_limit","64M");

                  define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

Make sure that's after the opening php tag. It's different for different servers, but one of those should work. You may also need to increase the number (64). If 64 is not enough, try 96 or 128, like:

As always, Nazar can help you do this if you're not able to. Just contact him and send in a ticket to the desk:

                  http://supportchamps.com

                  Cheers,

      Hey David,

Where are you hosting your site? I think this is probably host-related. I've never seen anyone have the kinds of issue you're running into. I can take a look for you if you like. Just PM me temp admin and ftp details and I'll see what's going on. I'm sure it can be quickly remedied.

I'm pulling my hair out and I'm beginning to suspect it is my hosting company, I have to call them back tomorrow to discuss a "billing" issue...

I use 1and1, and I've been with them for years; they have changed their packages recently. I have the developer package which used to be their top package. They have since renamed it to Business.

I just got off the phone with their support and it turns out that the developer package now has the same amount of memory their starter package has and they want me to upgrade to their business package (which IMO I should have been grandfathered into) not a good way of doing business that's for sure.. downgrade the memory I used to have so I'm forced to switch packages and pay more..

So once I get that stupid mess sorted out I'm sure the plugin will work.

Unbeknownst to me they recently downgraded the amount of memory I get.. from 80mb to 30mb.

        EDIT:
I just tested on a new install on a different hosting company and AP3 worked flawlessly.

        My apologies Bryan.

I just got HostGator yesterday so I decided to test it on my new hosting and it worked perfectly.. so .. the culprits are those crooks at 1and1 who messed with my developer package... Oh they're going to get an earful!

I just wanted to update everyone

1and1 is a nightmare to deal with.

    AP3 works just fine.

If you have issues with it.
Try changing your global PHP version to PHP 5.2 as opposed to PHP 5.4...
Also .. make sure your hosting package has enough phpMemory to run the plugin.

If you have any problems and can't reach support, drop me a line on here and I'll see if I can figure it out while you wait for Bryan and his team to get back to you.

I WANT TO RECANT MY PREVIOUS STATEMENTS ABOUT AP3.
This was a hosting issue...... and now I know why there are so many horror stories about 1and1.... before all of this I thought badmouthing 1and1 was unwarranted.. but after my recent experience with them I can definitely see why 1and1 gets a bad rep.

Thank GOD! After calling them around 10 times over 3 days and getting different agents, who were "supposed" to get back to me.. (and never did) ... I finally got a support agent who knew what the hell he was doing.

Problems solved.. AP3 works.. and I'm about to go crazy making pages (and fixing the ones that got messed up in the process of "fixing" the issue)

Thanks Bryan and I look forward to having a reason to give you a testimonial as soon as the $$$$$ start rolling in

      lol...

I'm well aware it requires ioncube.. I set that up myself..

I'm talking about the MySQL requirements.. the php Memory requirements .. etc.. essentially the hosting requirements for proper function.

I already have a hostgator account..

1and1 is requesting the hosting requirements because they are looking for any excuse that alleviates them from the responsibility that AP3 doesn't work on their server.. mostly because they are too stupid to understand there is a simple error on their side that is preventing AP3 from functioning properly.. aside from me spending more money to upgrade.... considering I have their top shared hosting package.

      EDIT:

I've been with 1and1 for well over 5 years.. it could even be 10 years now, I can't remember...
Apparently they don't care to lose a long time customer..... because that's exactly where they're heading.

        Hey Shane,

        Couple questions:

        - what hosting are you using (company, shared/vps,etc)
        - have you tried disabling other plugins to see if there is a conflict of some sort?
        - what browser on what operating system?

Your experience certainly isn't typical. I just shot a video using the plugin with the same template you're using, going through the same actions:

        2013-09-20_0749 - bryanmcconnahea's library

Just a couple of things to note:

        - when you see me going left and right with the mouse near the beginning, it's to show how AP goes from preview mode to edit mode. When your mouse is over the content area, it's edit mode which adds the editing toolbars. Adding elements to the page will push some down a bit. There should be no delay in scrolling whatsoever.

        - saving will typically take a bit longer than just saving a normal wordpress page or post because AP is crunching a bunch of data at the save point. However it shouldn't be overly long or freezing. A very long template (full featured sales page for example) will take a bit longer to save than a smaller page.

        Thanks
        Bryan

Just realized that the video is choppy. I think maybe you have to let it load first. Not sure Jing playback is the highest quality.

Edit: Yeah the video is not really representative of the actual experience, too low of quality. I'll have to redo it with camtasia.

Since AP3 is a plugin does that mean I can use parts of it in existing pages or does it convert an entire page to AP? Did that make sense? Ok for example can I generate an Opt In form or pop up or exit pop using AP and only use those parts in an existing page? Or does it only do entire pages?

More to the point. Can I use parts of AP3 (like optin form, popup, exit pop, etc) in my existing WP blog and then use full blown AP3 to create entire sales pages and squeeze pages that are hosted on same domain as my blog?

Or is AP3 ONLY for the entire sales pages and squeeze pages and I'd need to use other stand alone plugins (or code) for optin, popup, exit pop, etc?

Looking for any updates on customer experience with the very latest version of this plugin. I really, really want something like this to work and work well.

    Is this plugin worth it?

I bought AP3 a while ago and I did give it my best shot for over a week but I found the whole thing just a bit clunky especially the dashboard.

It worked for some bits but was a nightmare for other bits.

I gave up in the end and I am someone with 3 years plus working with WordPress.

Not quite sure what clunky means. I think it's very slick. Optimize Press 2 is clunky to my mind.

I got AP3 when it was $47 for the dev version. I love it. Support is excellent too. I'll never understand why folks insist on posting in a review thread for support. It's not the place for that!

People get frustrated and impatient.. you have to remember who you're dealing with here.. people who want to make money yesterday... they don't have patience when things don't work the way they envisioned when they clicked "Buy" it doesn't excuse it.. but when you're frustrated and it seems like no one is listening why not go where you figure at least someone will reply.

and really, I've helped a few people in here who have posted.. and I've also received support too from fellow warriors.. I think it's a good idea if done correctly. We should be here to help eachother if we can. It alleviates some of their non-sense support tickets.

I'm giving up on AP3. Too many plugin conflicts and yesterday out of the blue I started getting an error about "ap3-installer-core.php on line 58".

I'd rather do a little more work setting up my pages and not have the problems it's caused. It hasn't been worth the time spent trying make it work or the loss of using other plugins.

I'm glad to see others posting to a thread even when they are support issues because it alerts potential buyers to what they may be facing. If I had seen a bunch of posts about support I wouldn't have bought.

That's probably why I'm seeing more people with what would have been wso's in the past using other forums or launch sites now so they don't have to accept comments.

Excellent and easier alternative is WP Profit Builder. Authority pro still works for me, but Profit Builder is easier.

    Hi,

I'm an AP3 user from way back, and all of a sudden am having issues and can't reach support. Did it go away and I just didn't hear about it? Last month, no problem, this month, nothing BUT problems, and I've not added or changed anything on WP unless an update messed it up.

And if it's gone, what would you guys recommend that does most of the same things? I just have a couple of sites but a ton of pages.

    Thanks,
    Jana

Look to TCB Thrive Content Builder and you are not going to disappointed. I have purchased the Enterprise Edition of Authority Pro 3 but because of lack of required support I switch to TCB and their yearly subscription. Now things are easy for me. the support of TCB is really good one.
