I think they offered alot for the money. So I purchased it. I'll post my review when I'm into the course more, but so far I'm happy.

I have taken the time to go through most of this course and I have to say I am frustrated. First, let me say there is some very good tips and valuable information in here. I found the talking heads section to be very useful.

    With that said...

There was a lot of promised content that was difficult to find or missing all together. For example one of the promised bonuses was "The “Behind The scenes” movie-making of all 5 Videos that were part of the Video Genesis Launch".

When I asked support where to find this they responded "It's all in the member;s area, it should be.Anything not there, let me know what is missing specifically.I'm in there and see all the items given at this time."

When I asked them to point me to where it could be found they stopped responding. It has been 3 days since I asked that question and still no response.

Here are other questions I had that no one responded to:

    2. That the last two videos in the animation section are exactly the same. I outlined the videos in this screen shoot: 2013-07-10_1144 - dunnston's library Is there a video missing here?

    3. At the end of this video Andy mentions he will be talking about "hard core animation" where is the video where he talks about this?

    4. On the last video of the Camera Review section Andy say's after taking a break he is going to discuss tape vs digital recording. Where can this conversation be found?

    5. Video 4.4.2 in the animation section will not play for me.

    6. At the end of video animation 4.4.3 Andy mentions "inside tips and secrets to get one little lift" where can this video be found?

    7. In video 9.1.1 Andy mentions an apple parody. Where can this be found?

They mention at lot of things at the end of modules that can not be found anywhere. Maybe the content they are talking about is in the course but I can't seem to figure out how to navigate to it. The whole thing looks like the was thrown together over night and is really sloppy.

Furthermore, most of the course is them listing tools and products that can be used and they spend very little time talking about how to use them. 80% of the course could of been accomplished with a simple resource list. In fact I would of preferred it instead of wasting so much time.

While there is some good information and some good tips I don't feel this course is worth the money.

As I understand it, the "Behind the Scenes of the Launch" stuff will be added after the actual launch is complete. As it is, the final prelaunch video is not uploaded yet, so the behind the scenes stuff probably isn't complete.

I reviewed the sales process, the video content, was interesting, perhaps even compelling, however the over all audience reach, I think they may have miscalculated the market.

Who this product would benefit or who would benefit from this product...

I think this would be a great product for those people who already have a product they want to sell or they would like to provide video services to others who have a product to sell.

But if you are a marketer without a website, without a product and without experience I would say this product may not be for you.

Just my thoughts on the issue would be this is for the more experienced marketer who would like to improve their skills, however there is no substitute for talent, you cannot teach talent.

I respect the marketing skills of these marketing legends, however as usual with these large affiliate sponsored products, the hype often gets in the way of the product itself.

I bought Video Gensis because I was looking for ways to improve my video's. Mike and Andy have filled a hole in my video marketing that I could have done myself but they have saved me a heap of time.

This course is not for everyone and yes there are some issues with some of the video's but overall I have found it very useful.

If you are looking to improve your current video marketing then this course may be an option. If it is not then put it in the background until you need video training.

      Good luck all

      Regards James

I think the most useful stuff for me is the way you can use different types of videos for different types of marketing. A lot of it is blueprint stuff, and worth spending the time analyzing the video examples.

Video is definitely where it's at.

Video Genesis course all hype no substance...or does it TRULY deliver on content and teaching as they promised?

Hence, can Anyone who has now got it let us all know their thoughts on it and living up to their expectations, user friendly, content and teaching etc I think would be much appreciated any of you

Talking of which - Dunnston many thanks for being honest with your thoughts and experiance now you have seen it after your purchase etc.

BUT...So far then Gosh, seems a lot of stuff maybe missing not added yet or maybe Andy, Mike said so many things they have overlooked and forgotten to add these things and you won't see them -who knows.

QUESTIONS Useful For me (maybe plenty of others) are:
    • Does Andy cover specific video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro
    • and is it good how to use it tutorials and the things he shows/teaches it can do?
    • What elements on premiere pro using it does he actually cover?

What is the After effects specifi training like ( it promises to take a newbie never using this complex comrehesive software to teaching them easy yet wow stuff and effects) so, what is that specific After effects teaching like?

Green screen and HOW to best do the chroma key inside the video editing software- I think Andy uses Adobe premiere pro for this so my question again, is the teaching of using tools to create good chroma keying useful and good results he shows you how to get etc?

Audio sound edting module his teaching and adding things to get it really good nicely sounding..
What does he explain so far as this module ...

As he mentioned he would show you ways to edit with the sound file when speaking to camera to boost and add things like amplification, and boost etc to edit the talk audio part to makte it really nice rich quailty i.e what software is he thus using to do this and things does he cover?

many thanks hopefully some folk will kindly reply/answer.
    Jenny

Not really sure about the course content, but for your specific questions regarding any Adobe products, your best resource is going to be Lynda.com. They have several in-depth courses on Premiere Pro and After Effects taught by Adobe specialists in a professional (no hype/sillyness) presentation. The kind you would find from leading Universities online.

Lynda has a monthly or yearly subscription to ALL of it's content, so any other Adobe program you need help with is in there as well.

        Good content, subpar delivery.

It's ALL video. No resource lists, executive summaries, etc. So you'll have to take your own notes as you go through the videos.

Their content is good enough to justify the price they do charge. The delivery makes their claims of this course being worth thousands laughable.

I did learn a lesson this morning about giving out your email to pre-launch lists, they sell your information. And VIDEO GENESIS either SOLD my email to others OR they allowed my email to be used by others. How do I know this, I use a catchall email and for any list I sign up for I use that website in the "to" field. In this case I used videogenesis@.......net and low and behold, I just got an email from some guy named Ryan Burgard at an email address that was NOT videogenesis.

I knew it... I subscribed to their mailing list using a new gmail account and about the same time, I also got some emails from unknown sender.

I see there are some bad reviews here, I think I may eventually get it anyways sometime in the future. But can anyone tell me about what kind of upsells they had and maybe even how much they charged for them? I sort of want to be prepared for that.
