The New Best Article Directory... Hands Down

Hi guys,

There's a lot of talk around the forum lately about article marketing, especially with EZA pulling their new and improved "screw the authors" bullshit.

Now, don't get me wrong. I love EZA. They've sent me a lot of traffic. However, I firmly believe that they're headed towards an ad-fest with crap articles - essentially, they're heading away from what got them to the top of Google in the first place. And soon, they're going to lose their rankings, lose their authors, and be a shell of their former self.

Who knows, maybe they'll turn things around. I've just seen a lot of bad stuff go on there that makes me believe they're on their way out. Not today, not tomorrow, but sooner or later, they'll be done for.

So there's been a lot of buzz about what the new best article directory is, and I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents here.

First of all, let's talk about what makes a good article directory.

It needs:

*A fast approval period
*Good tools for authors
*Good SE rankings

The first two are pretty straight forward. You want your articles approved ASAP and you want good tools so you can test what is and isn't working and improve your craft.

Good SE rankings, however, is a bit trickier. So let's talk about how an article directory would get them.

Essentially, Google wants to give its users a good end result. Therefore, it's going to send them (ideally) to the best quality site that will answer all their questions.

That means that the higher quality the information on a domain is, the more likely it is Google will return that result high in its SERPs. After all, users want decent, well-researched, clearly-written content, not crap. And lately it seems like EZA is more than happy to publish anything and everything.

My belief is that, if it isn't already, Google will soon be developing algorithms to figure out what is and isn't well written content. And when that day comes, you want your site to be useful, informative, and have a good end-user experience.

Now, the only article site I've seen offering these three things (good rankings, fast approval time, and a decent amount of tools) is Allen Greaves' Website-Articles.net

Before I get some nasty posts, I'll just point out that I'm not really "friends" with Allen (although I do respect him a great deal, but I don't think he really knows who I am), and I'm not getting any commission out of this. I just know Allen has a service that a lot of Warriors need right now, so I thought I'd bring it to your attention.

Some people in Allen's article directory are getting CTR's of 75 - 90%. That's because there are no ads on the pages, and you can add pictures and videos to increase the "stickiness" of your website. There are also crazy amounts of reporting tools so you can figure out exactly what is and isn't working (Allen's a bit of a testing nut himself so that's probably where it all came from).

In addition he publishes a monthly newsletter that keeps you up to date with the latest trends in article marketing. Like I said, Allen's a testing junkie and I think he spends more time looking at stats then he does looking at his wife Seriously though, he always has brilliant, cutting-edge insights that really help you out.

Now, Allen's directory isn't free. It's $10 a month, which, let's face it, is peanuts. BUT, this means that only "serious" article marketers can post their articles, meaning the quality of the whole site is good (see the above points about the SEs). It also means that you get a lightning-fast response - my articles are usually approved in a few hours!

On top of all this, Allen is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and if your articles aren't getting results, all you have to do is email him and he'll help you out. Once you're a member, of course - I don't think he has the time to reply to a hundred thousand emails from people who can't even be bothered to pony up the $10/month for his membership.

Allen is one of the most brilliant minds in article marketing I've come across, and has a great book on the subject which blows away anyone else's. I think it's free with membership but he might have removed that offer, so don't quote me on that.

Allen's directory is pretty much the polar opposite of what EZA has become, and his first focus is to his authors. His directory is starting to see some really hot rankings (beating out EZA in many cases, I believe) so it just makes sense to join up now and take advantage of it.

His website: Exclusive Article Marketing Community

Check it out, and if you're serious about article marketing, do yourself a favor and sign up. You'll be glad you did.

    Thanks Daniel,

I appreciate the kind words - although my wife may not like it. LOL

It's nice to be regarded so highly...makes it all worthwhile, ya know?

We're working hard to keep improving. And yes, the ebook is still free for members.

I have been hearing alot of complaints lately about EA,
which is a bit of good news for those of us in competition.
Most article directories require the article to be submitted in english.
At my site, I have the option to translate into another language.
    See my sig...

Allen, I need to check out your site...

Only English articles are allowed - sorry.

The reason for this is because we only have English speaking editors and we would not be able to assure that the articles are top-quailty and free from grammar and spelling errors.

    Hello Fellow Warriors,

I just recently joined Website-Articles.net. I have read Allen Graves posts on WF for a long time now. He is one of the finest people in Article Marketing. Let me please say, the membership gives you so much more than you can imagine.

You immediately are taken to a members only area with information that you would pay hundreds of dollars for (as stated above your cost is $10 a month). There is an article about an Article Marketing subject that I have done over 100 searches about, Allen not only tells you what works, he gives us an example. When ever I see an Example I know how I can use the information. This one is GOLD.

Mr. Graves answers his email very quickly, the information is priceless AND many of his the articles on this article directory are ranking higher on Google than Ezinearticles. (His advice about Ezinearticles is spot on.)

This was the very best money I've has spent in at the last 60 days. I recommend that you, please, join now.

Usually when we find a good thing, we prefer to keep it to our self, Allen Graves is very emphatic about doing good and good will come back to you, so in that spirit, I say, YES, join.

We are not competitors, we are working together to make things better and make our Internet Marketing lives more profitable.

Let's ALL make lots of money with Article Marketing.

So my good Warrior Friends, please check this out. If you're doing Article Marketing this is what you will benefit most from. OH YES, you get a copy of Allen Graves book, The Article Marketing Handbook, PURE GOLD. You need this, you want this, you got to, got to have this.

I'm absolutely serious. (One more note, Allen Graves stresses and insists on "Integrity" that was a big deal to me. This guy is the real deal, the good person, and he's getting EXCEPTIONAL results. That's what you and I want, you and I want to make money and he's showing us how.)

    Thanks,

    Daniel,

I hope so too! We just released the Diamond level to compete with EZA's Premium Level. Hope it takes off.

    Palo,

Thanks for your comments, that was very nice.

    Ishan,

Not true. All the articles I have on there are also on EZA, GoArticles etc... even on my blog.

Of course, it has to be YOUR work - that goes without saying.

Why they took so long to approve your articles, I'm not sure. Usually Allen gets back to me within a few hours. Maybe he could shed some light on this.

      Ishan,

      Their policies are here:

      Exclusive Article Marketing Community

Nowhere on that page can I see anything about your article only appearing on their website.

But if you can point out the part that you thought said that, maybe Allen can re-word it to make it clearer.

I think Ishan may be thinking of another directory - we approve ALL articles within 24 hours and we do not mind if your work is published elsewhere already - we know that by following what we teach, your articles on our directory will outrank them anywhere else - even EZA - so it doesn't matter to us.

    Congrats for taking on EZA.

However I have never seen website-articles.net come up in search engine results.
So just wondering why the $10 fee?
The home page is also PR0.

    Rebecca,

You haven't seen it show up on the search engie pages because we don't have millions of articles flooding the internet. Right now we have just over 2500 articles published and 2100 of them are indexed and ranking well. You've just never searched for any of the keyword phrases they are targeting.

There are some example on this page: http://www.website-articles.net/diamond.html

If you take the averages, we are actually performing better than EZA and Buzzle as far as articles published to SE traffic incoming.

The $10 fee is for becoming a member of the community, it's not for the article directory. The directory is just a bonus. If you visit the site, you'll see why the $10 charge, and frankly, it should be a lot more than $10.

I can't comment on the PR because I do not work for Google, but I can tell you that it was a PR4 prior to the recent change and I can also tell you that it has had no effect on our traffic - in fact, we are on pace for a record month in Google hits as well as overall traffic. While on the topic of PR - take a look at our articles and you'll find that they have PR where most other article directories do not pass PR along to their article pages.

    Respectafully,
    Allen Graves

Daniel, thanks for the heads up. I've been wondering what to do about EZA for a while and I do post to other directories, but I just wonder about them most of the time. Nothing like a great testimonial to help us in the right direction.
