Social network platforms review

I want to build my own social network (somehow works like facebook: share, like, follow, etc.). I did some research, and now I thinking about using social platforms like social engine, ning, phpFox or boonex to save the cost. Does anyone have experience with those platforms? Any alternatives you may think of? Many thanks.

    yes, using a platform can reduce your cost significantly. I only tried SE and phpFox. Both are good, but SE is more expensive. Try this Facebook Clone (Niche) - YouNet Hope this helps.
