Received an email from this vendor, Matt Louis, about his product Facebook Empire. Apparently an offer to set-up fanpages within a certain niche that they promote with the agreement that you post ads for his product once a day...
Anyone tried this product/offer - what are your thoughts?

Thanks

  • I have have seen this too. I have searched high and low for this "sold out" offer ( Facebook Empire) and nothing on him or the offer shows up. It is supposed to re-open at 2:00 EST and as of 2:18 nothing.

    Will keep you posted.

    • It's 2:00 PM Pacific time, so in my neck of the woods that's about 20 minutes away still...
I did the same thing and could find nothing on him or this product both on the forum here and on Google.
I'll check it out, but I don't like not seeing anything posted, it's odd actually.

  • sounds fishy.

  • never heard of this guy and I have been around the IM space for a while.. not suggesting this Matt Louis guy is not real but there is nothing about him anywhere in google or here.. I never received emails from him as I never subscribed to his list before..but somehow received 3 emails this morning about his "too good to be true sounding offer".. his address is 804 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, British Columbia V6C 1P7, Canada .. If you Google it with photo view you will see its a tall office building.. there is no office or apt number.. Be wary of this type of thing.. does anyone actually know who this person is? ever bought anything from him? no testimonials.. again if you have 300$ to risk good luck.. hopefully it works for you.. but it just WREAKS of a scam folks.. I hope not though... and thought to post this to unsuspecting gullible's...

    • Yes, that's kind of how I felt about it...I thought maybe I'd signed up for something and received emails from him before, but when I searched my massive Gmail...nothing before today...and can't find anything on him...hmmm :confused: or his product anywhere, when I emailed him about not getting a link with his email initially - they did send one a few minutes after that...and I received a response to my email;

      "Hi Natalie,

You can use the same link of the sales page and once you register again you'll be re-directed to the order page. Please let me know if you need anything else.

      Kind Regards!
      Paula - Customer Support"

So, not sure, at least they responded, but as for Matt Louis??? or this Facebook Empire product...??? Other than the sales email which I cannot even be sure how I ended up on the list, there is very little to go on with this.
Hopefully it will work out well for those that invested in it.

  • Same scenario with me, but just keep in mind that if it is a scam (which at this point I'm pretty convinced it is), then his name is fake, the picture is fake, and the address is fake.

    • Anyone who paid for this with MasterCard through paypal - please read.

My son was taken in my this guy also.

He paid with a MasterCard through paypal. His bank said to go directly to MasterCard fraud complaints and they said they would refund the money within 1-5 days.

If you're in the USA the number for MasterCard Fraud Complaints is 1-866-987-1457.

They were very helpful and said the money would be back in the account in 1-5 days and they would be sending out a complaint form for him to sign and return detailing what the problem was.

Hopefully, there will be no further problems for my son - only for this Matt Louis.

I would presume there are similar complaint numbers out there through VISA, Discover or American Express. Try talking to your local bank. Ours was very helpful.
    • Yes, but his mistake was to add paypal as an intermediate, which means that his financial and taxs accounts were given, as well as his bank name.
  • Hey Foks,

I just received an email to join this FB Empire of Matt Louis and I just wanted to fill in my PayPal password but then I tought "wait, let me look on the warrior form if I can find anything". Now I've read all your comments, I'm glad I did!

But isn't it too fast to say if it's a scam? I've been doing facebook paqes myself and it takes time to grow those pages. But if it's extremly viral like he says it is, it wouldn't take that long. I'm very curious what niche it is, that's why I wanted to join, but now I've seen this I think I'll wait till I'll hear some good comments.

And I do agree if you're not getting answers to your email, that kind a odd.

I hope you'll get your answers soon and post it on this form.

    • Hi Brian,

Unfortunely, he failed to deliver the service after the stablished period 7-10 days.He also never answer a single support ticket / email. That being said this pretty much makes of him and all his business at the very least fraudulent. Everyone who bought this, including me unfortunely, are filling disputes and working with our bank trying to get our money back, so my advice, please stay away from this guy.
  • Interesting points guys, I came looking on the forum myself because I thought the salespage was good but felt like I hadn't a clue who he was either. Felt like the rest of you ... a little bit of an email out of the blue.

But then also, the script changed very quickly from giving away a free review copy to we're charging a fee .. enough incongruency in his messages to make me want to look him up.

On top of this I think it's really rather cheeky to charge those sorts of fees and expect you to promote his offer everyday.

Sometimes the road less travelled turns out to be the shorter path in the end.

But I do agree, that just because we have not heard much about this guy, doesn't necessarily mean it's a dud deal. And for anyone who has purchased this, all the best and I hope it all works out for you in the end.

    • Now someone can tell why i didn't received the paypal receipt with refund, instead i have only received a zaxaa confirmation. Will zaxaa payme?
  • Hi to all
I went to buy and got a message from the payment processor. (not paypal)
    "This account has been closed"
Can't remember any more but will not buy in now.

Especially after reading many of the comments above
  • I purchased a 10K package and have been very disappointed. I'm glad I found this thread on the WF b/c it sounds like a complete SCAM. I've emailed "Matt" 6 times with no reply at all other than "he's been at a marketing conference" No info on the FB page, nothing at all about this FB Empire program.

I'm filing a dispute with Paypal and hope that I get my $ back. I hope others find this thread before purchasing.

I've heard that filing a claim under "Digital products" on paypal may negate your options should the "vendor" not cooperate. Obviously that's why these POS Scam artists function. I filed it under a "service" dispute so I'll keep the thread updated on the progress of my claim.

My blood is boiling right now...

    • Hi,

I am very sorry to know this, i got scamed by him too, i have filled a paypal dispute under services too, and i have also requested a chargeback notification with my bank. Zaxaa sent me an email saying that they will refund the purchase, but till date nothing so the dispute is ongoing, and i am expecting a response from paypal on day 23 August, i will let you know the outcome.

Hope you get your money back
  • I got the same email from this guy a few days ago. It was a very compelling sales letter. Glad there was already a thread on this. Curious, did anyone who paid money actually receive anything from this guy?

    • Bought the cheapest $97 package just to try, back in July 30th. Sent a few update emails, no reply. This is way past their 7-10 days promise. I am getting ready to dispute via Paypal now. Wish me luck.
