Which Hosting you recommend?

Hi,
I would love to know which hosting should I move my website to.
I'm using godaddy as my hosting service and It's working great but I only get 500 hits per day (from 200 unique visitors) , which is not most but my website is working really fast.
I'm working on a product launch and I'm positively sure that my website won't handle the traffic.

So which hosting you recommend?
That can easily handle 5000 views per day with on average 300 users online at the same time.

Please answer based on your own experience (with some proof if it's possible).
Thanks for your time!

I was thinking about stablehost, shared hosting pack called PLUS. (about $10 per month)
    Anyone tried their service?
their service could handle the traffic I've mentioned above?

yeah of course i know those popular ones...
but which package is recommend for my needs?
(more than 5k views per day, with 300 users online at a time)
does a shared hosting will work?

        I'll second darshana84's Rackspace recommendation.

I moved over to their Cloudsites platform and I love it so much more than the dedicated server I had.

        Their support is great.

        It's easy to use.

Your sites won't crash at 300 people on their at once.

I've had close to 600 on numerous occasions, and that was one site.

        I have several on there.

Best decision I ever made getting off dedicated and moving to Rackspace

    Don't use
    - Godaddy
    - Yahoo
    - 1&1
    - the 50+ EIG brands, including Hostgator, Bluehost, Justhost, iPage, Fatcow, and a crapload others.

    Hostgator is garbage:
    - http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...s-traffic.html
    - http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-all-down.html

I have no idea why people still suggest that in 2013. It's terrible. It's not even the same "Hostgator" anymore, not since summer 2012, and is nothing more than an EIG brand now.

    There are better hosts.
Read some of my other posts. No need to keep repeating myself.

What is your budget per month ?

I think you better try a Cloud Hosting Service. What it does is according to your site requirements, they will provide necessary resources (Processing Power, RAM etc).

Amazon EC2 cloud and Rackspace cloud are one of the best options.

      Thanks to everyone...
I've should mentioned that I didn't want Bluehost, hostgator or any EIG associated company.

Anyway After messaging some hosting providers, I think I'm going with stablehost.
Their support seems pretty good. (they've respond to my tickets in less than 30 minutes on a sunday)

And they didn't try to oversell their hosting, they said I sould go with one of the cheapest plans.

I'll give them a try. Plus I have 45 days of full money back guarantee.
So I have nothing to loose.

    Hi,

If you already have a hosting account with Godaddy I think you should keep it because it's one of the best hosts out there ( I am a Godaddy customer and I am happy with their services ). If you need more performance then I think you should contact their customer support team in order to see if you can upgrade your plan depending on your needs.

If you're looking to scale then go for a VPS solution from one of the hosting providers rather than shared hosting. Shared hosting can be limiting (although it takes a little more of your time running a VPS as you have to do the administration). We use a VPS server from Fasthosts which works out very cost effective if you have multiple websites since it's actually cheaper in the long run to run a VPS than have multiple shared hosting accounts, and you can upgrade the resources on your server as you get more traffic (plus you have the freedom of root access...).

For the kind of stats you are asking, I would not use shared hosting. You would be better off using a VPS which could handle that load and simultaneous number of users.

When I was working with Traffic Geyser I got tired of the hosting companies telling me the things that I couldn't do..... and I think it was Mike Filsaime who recommended to me GVO hosting in San Antonio.

They had just moved their data center there from Canada. I called up Joel Therien, one of the owners, introduced myself and told him I wanted to meet him. I toured their data center and was very impressed with the people, the backups, and everything about them, so I moved it all over to GVO. They've been fabulous. I now have my own server there.... they haven't been perfect of course, but they've always been there for me when I needed them. GVO WebHosting - Professional Web Hosting Services

I've been used this hosting before

    Hostgator
    Namecheap
    certified hosting.

From my experience. Hostgator is the best. My hosting got suspended on certifiedhosting with unaccepted reason. I would never reccomend them.

5k Hits per days. i would suggest you to use vps hosting.

I know this might not be the trendy reply, but I started online with Host Gator and I like them for several reasons - #1 You can start super cheap with unlimited hosting (shared) for $9.99
host as many sites as you want for that price.

#2 It is very WordPress friendly and easy to install via QuickInstall or Fantastico

#3 Their customer service is good (sometimes the wait is long online and via phone) but they have always solved any issue for me - even once when some sites I managed had viruses - they totally cleared it up and was easily able to restore sites from their backups. Also they are available 24/7.

#4 When you are ready to move up to a dedicated server or other more robust options, it is an easy move and easy to scale up and I have been very pleased with my upgraded servers.

OK, they aren't perfect, but over the years, they have done the job. I've thought from time to time about changing, but always stuck with them. There are lots of options and opinions out there, but a web host is the backbone of your business so choose well!

I'm checking out Veerotech Standard Reseller and also am evaluating VPS options. Since it is owned by a fellow warrior, and support seems to be good, I think it is worth looking at. Support and uptime should always be the biggest concerns.

I've been using hostgator baby plan since 2009 (for my own personal sites) and I've never had any major issues.
I've been running 25+ sites on a Hostgator reseller account for the past 2 years and am very happy with them.
They did have some issues in 2013. My sites handled it just fine and in 2014 its been fantastic.

Some of my sites receive 500+ hits per day with absolutely no issues.
Some people have different opinions on Hostgator but if you're running average sites with low traffic I highly recommend them.
I do check my websites daily and they run just fine.
Yes there are times they are down but I've seen this with all hosting companies. It happens once in awhile.

I don't have experience with high traffic sites, or sending out high amounts of emails or needed to do special requests with Hostgator so I cannot comment on this.
I assume this is where people may have experienced issues because I have many sites that get average traffic that have worked out great.

Mr. Brent and Veerotech get my vote. Just talk to him your needs and he can fix you up with whatever fits the best.

I'm currently doing some traffic tests right now throwing 1000's of visitors a day to a few of my sites and there is zero slowing that i can detect. And this is just a shared account lol I want to push things to 5000+ visitors a day...maybe even spike it to 10,000+ to see what happens.

I know for a fact if you did the same with a HostGator shared account you would either be throttled or see a major slow down in load speed (or both??).

I did something like this before when i had an account with HG and with only 500 visits in a day i was pulled back. I'm not talking about big sites either, or even stuff to do with wordpress. They were just simple html squeeze pages and I was still throttled.
