No one knows?

From what I have seen, unlike the rest of those social networks, it connects you in real time to everyone your following or those following you. When you post what your doing it goes instantly in front of everone who is following you. The more followers you have the more people see what your doing. Of course from a money making point of view, you can post your small 2 line ads with link. I've got over 800 followers and everytime I post I get a consitant 50-60 hits within an hour! It's kinda like this forum except everyone gets to see what your up to in real time. You can also send and receive messages from your phone and multiple other sites so you don't have to be stuck in one place to advertise! I wouldn't even consider any campaigns now without Twitter involved! Hope this helps!

Twitter's kind of like have a list, the trick is to try to send out some useful and interesting tweets, then your followers won't mind when you send out the occasional promotional tweet.

The reason it's currently getting all the attention is because it's the new kid on the block, won't be long before something newer comes along to take its place...

Twitter is a very effective marketing tool which gives real time exposure of your updates to your followers without being bother to notify everybody.
Marketing of site is very easy with the custom made message which is sent to every followers....There are many tools for twitter and if implemented properly...you can be in profit

I have no idea. I started using twitter and it is the same as using any other social site.

So have i now understood this twitter right, that its bit like half way from facebook and Instant Messenger?

That its basically similar as Instant Messengers, that you load some program to your computer and keep turning it on, but instead of being limited to just Internet Messenger type of stuff this has same stuff as facebook has.

Then about that following thing, what does that mean that you follow someone in practice?

Do i follow everyone that i add aas my contact? That those tweets are like the messages in facebook where it tells what people are doing right now, but instead of displaying on my webpage where i wont notice them necessary, they come in real time bit like MEssages in Instant Messengers?

Or do i choose which ones i want to follow.

Also, i have got some sort of impression that theres a possibility to have some sort of twitter referrral link, that people would join to it trhough my referral link. Have i understood right? And if i have, what does this mean in practice, that if someone joins through my referral link, is there some advatange to it?

does this joiner automatically become my follower for example? or do i get maybe some commission if he buys some sort of twitter stuff? or is it like Google mail, that you just cant join without having referral, although it doesnt really have any use to it?
