Dan Kennedy Info Summit - Any Good?

Hey,

I just bought Dan Kennedy's latest course Lifestyle Liberation Blueprint, as a bonus the course came with a ticket to the info-summit and bonus day.

For non members (like myself) this would cost $2600 (approx) and about the same cost again for me to travel from the UK with flights, hotel and food etc.

So it's still an investment, even though the tickets are free.

I'm seriously thinking about attending and was wondering if any of you here have been to or are attending the Info-summit?

If so is it a good experience? is it worth the time and money? or is it a pitch fest?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Well i think you'll get some really great information from the lifestyle liberation blueprint. Everything Dan comes out with is good. If you attend the Info Summit, be sure to speak to Dan directly. But if you can't.... there are other millionaires who will attend, so i suggest you be amiable and network with virtually everyone there, so that you all can form your own "inner circle", and share ideas to make money together.

Good job taking the plunge though.... $2000 is a hefty price tag, but i think it will be worth it.

    Thanks guys.

I've bought many a product before but I've never attended a live event before, I've always
been a fan of DK's, most of his content is top notch. Not sure what to expect from his live events though.

It's still a big commitment attending the event from the UK. $2k to buy the product and another $2k at minimum to attend the event.

Maybe I can take that $2k and invest it in my info business. It won't make or break me but it's still considerable.

I just attended GKIC event in Atlanta, the Productivity Boot Camp.

To be very honest, never again... Way too much sales pitching. I felt like I am at the constant sales pitch event. I understand it is normal to sell your products at the event, but that was way over the top.

The biggest problem is they did not deliver what sales copy for event promised to deliver.

Charismatic personality doesn't cut it for me. I am not going to like something just because there is charismatic pitchmen of high status "suggesting" me that "without this product my business is nearly inadequate", when they fail to deliver on their original promises.

I love Dan's products and maybe some other events are good, but this one really violated my trust in GKIC. It felt disgusting.

I did however enjoy Darcy Juarez and Dave Dee's entertainment. But that's not why I drove to Atlanta from Alabama.

Now, I don't want to create any wrong impressions about GKIC.

Here are the things I love about Dan Kennedy:

    - Magnetic Marketing Course - amazing!
    - Dan's books - all of them!
    - Newsletter

Also, I would feel confident to go to an event where Dan is present himself. But that's a different price tag. That one was free.

I cancelled my GKIC membership. I just didn't get any new information from Magnetic Marketing or their newsletter. To be honest, my offline business has grown well from information on this site and a few honest vendors here. I used 2 GKIC vendors and had a bad experience with both. What puts a bad taste in my mouth is paying $60 a month and getting a packet that's light on applicable material to my business and full of pitch to sell me more useless info. It may be useful to info marketers, but I've actually implemented some of their suggestions that actually did more harm than good.

      Like what?

Please PM me if you don't feel comfortable answering. I don't keep it a secret that I love Dan Kennedy materials. Not so much what he says, but I pay close attention to what he does. I'd be very interested in hearing more about this.

I was advised to place a contact form on my webpages to give multiple ways to contact. I did that on various pages on my site. Prospects started filling out the form instead of just calling me. I got no additional leads and the web leads converted at a much lower rate. I removed the forms on certain pages and the
Closing rate returned. I also did a 3 step mailer based on a Magnetic Marketing swipe file and it was the lowest converting direct mail PC that I have ever done. It actually did worse than a basic template postcard from Vistaprint. Exact same offer, but the postcard was more vague due to space and template limitations.

Edit: I was actually very excited to be a part of GKIC and felt that I had an advantage over the rest of my market because of it. I really put a lot of time in to learning the material. I just never got much from the material that out performed what I already had in place. The GKIC style of offering freebies to get information to build a list never worked for my business. I tried free reports, coupons by email, etc. It never out performed just telling the prospect who I am, what I do, and offering testimonials and asking them to call me.

The worst thing about GKIC is that their forum is a Ghost Town. It would be really helpful to discuss ideas and techniques with others learning this style of marketing, but like I said their forum is utterly lifeless.

The rule in my business is to test, test, test. I tested and the methods did not out perform the things that I did naturally through common sense.

I am sure you are not alone in your experience. It is good to hear about the range of results.

Thanks for the reminder that one size does not fit all....no matter how much how much anyone may try to say it does.

I'm sorry, but I found no value in Tony's materials that I had access to. I don't need motivation. For successful, self motivated earners, Tony is a waste of time. I'm sure others would disagree, but motivation through RA-RA stories wears off quite quickly.
