Hi guys,

Just need some advice.

So i wanted to know what is better in terms of seo, traffic etc...video marketing or article marketing. I say this because I want to start using some IM tools, so wasn't too sure whether to get an article submitting tool, or something that would help with video marketing. Also what tools/ products do you suggest I purchase?

If you have any other views or ideas in terms of getting traffic to website, please share.

Go with article marketing if you are just starting out. It
will be easier for you to learn to get targeted traffic with
    articles.

    Thanks for the reply Loren,

I've heard video marketing gets more traffic and better backlinks due to the many high authority video websites.

Are there any IM tools you siggest I use???

    Here's what I do.

First, I write and submit the article. Then, using OpenOffice.org or MS Powerpoint, I turn the article directly into a slide show, then capture, with narration, on CamStudio. Then submit to YouTube, Viddler & Revver.

    More bang for your time!

If you go with video marketing, which for me has gotten me more traffic, then you can use tubemogul.

Tube mogul is a free service that takes your video and uploads it to many video sites all at once. This way you dont have to go to each individual site and upload and write all the info. You just do it once and it does the rest.

Also it tracks views for you, so you can go see which videos are most popular and which site is getting you the most views.

you can sign up at tubemogul . com
      Hope this helps!

Do both, I don't see a reason why you should limit yourself. YOu can write an article and then create a video discussing the same article, so your content and research are already created. There a number of free tools to create a short screencast video. I use JingProject. If you are doing something more high level then you might need a webcam or a flipcam and some editing software. Good luck with it either way.

          Both.

Never limit yourself. Do articles, video, blogs, web 2.0, link exchanges, etc. It is all these things that build a natural flow or links into your site.

    Thanks for the advice all,

I've just been doing some research, you've mentioned using TubeMogul, but that limits the amount of videos you can upload. I found this IM product which seems interesting. It's called Video Wildfire. Any views on this??
