does xsitepro live up to all the hype?

PRODUCT REVIEWS

hello, I have read a ton of reviews regarding xsitepro. Unfortunately, most of those positive reviews come from affiliates who are trying to earn a commission by talking me into purchasing the program. The sad thing is that first i read a sales pitch from the affiliate, then another sales pitch from the merchant so i feel double pitched and I can't tell if the affiliate is telling the truth or just trying to earn a commission. I would really appreciate it if someone who is an actual user would post an UNBIASED review of xsitepro- preferably from someone who is NOT affiliated with xsitepro. If you are just making simple websites (like a sqeeze page/sales letter combo) then xsite pro is the best choice. If you are going to be making more complex sites then dreamweaver is the tool of choice. But it takes quite a while to become proficient with DW - you would probably be better served by hiring a developer to build complex sites for you.

If you get xsp, don't forget to get the xsp cheatsheet by James Schramko as well!
I am NO affiliate btw, just advising.
I am sure you get it for free if you buy xsp thru James.

It's a timesaver and it works.

Another good one is ezgenerator. Some of my pages I make with this software.
Great for forms and membership pages.

  I'm an affiliate but I've never really promoted it outside
  of mentioning in a blog post or email here and there.
  
  It is truly an excellent piece of software - and the more
  experience I get with it the less it's supposed limitations
  affect me in my design work. For doing HTML emails
  I use Komposer (integrated with the browser I use,
  SeaMonkey) but for site design XSP meets all my
  requirements.
  
  You can do virtually everything XSP does, from the point
  of view of your visitors, with WordPress... but consider
  the additional work involved and, to my mind, the
  value of XSP is in time-savings developing sites which
  are basically pretty cool, and doing it quickly.
  
  Get it. Stop whining and try it out.

Yes it is great software to make many sites quickly and they all look good... I use it for most of my sites , but am also starting to use wordpress more..

Great site builder for newbies who do not know how to work with html or build websites. But nothing all that great if you want a really unique extreme looking website.

  Absolutely! I can bang out a site with this in about an hour and come out with a good looking silo site. I haven't done sales pages with it yet but can easily see how they would also be really easy. I also use Wordpress for some of my sites and this is much easier and faster. Definitely worth adding to your tool box.

XsitePro is very powerful and easy to use, as some of the above have mentioned.

I have to say that the old saying "Horses for courses" is very valid here.

If you are not a competant html/php coder then this is for you. I can code and use WP and Joomla too, but as Joseph said, I can draw, slice and get a site up in no time at all, the other good thing about Xsite is that so many people have it that you can design a site for someone/a client and send them the xsitepro source file. Very cool feature.

It has it's buggy moments but when you look at what you are asking it to do, I for one can live with those bugs

  Another yes vote. For me, it's easier to use than Word Press. XSitePro gives you total control. Also, another vote for James Shramko. His tutorial on making videos is represented in the video on the first site in my sig file. It's on the Sports Betting Champ page. His info is golden.

For any new guys starting out and struggling with web design it would be my best recommendation before you buy anything else. Anyone can build a decent looking website with this software, also I have had at least 3 laptop crashes and the support has been first class when reinstalling the software.

If you need custom templates or good PLR Xsite Pro websites I highly recommend Ted at 10 Sites a Month - Welcome , some of these websites have done very well for me.

I'd like to chime in and point out that I've had major issues with XSitePro. I'm running Vista SP2 with maxed out ram and maxed out readyboost and my system runs fast. However, XSitePro continually runs very slow when opening, navigating and closing the software to the point of getting the (Not Responding) message at times. This is the only software that does this.

I'm running it on a pc w/XP SP3 and all updates installed and only 2 gigs of RAM and I have no problem w/it running nice and smooth. Could be an issue w/Vista though, not sure. Just wanted to say that on my less then powerful machine, as compared to yours, it runs fine.

  I am on Vista and use XsitePro all the time, as I say further up this post, I do get xsp freezing now and again but no more than I did with XP.
  
  I do agree that the amunt of cpu usage is high and could probably be managed better if re-written, that said I am happy to re-start Xsitepro now and again, it does so much for you.

I also like it for simple sites, for the most part. You can whip them out quick and easy; and there are some cool tools in the software geared towards marketing sites. The only problem I have had with it is how some of the sites look in different browsers. They may look fine in IE, only to look screwy in FF. Apparently XSP likes to throw in some extra coding that mucks things up.

I used to build sites with XSP; now that Wordpress has become so powerful and come with so many plugin - I think it's better to learn Wordpress, which comes with 2.0 technology in-built. It's highly recommended that you use 1 platform, since Wordpress almost has it all, you should consider using WP if you are just starting out and not afraid to get your feet dirty. Besides, Wordpress is free.
I have nothing against XSP - in fact, I have xsp 1 and 2, found it a great piece of software, but when it does not allow your visitors to post comment on your site, then ... think twice before deciding which tool to build your sites upon...

I have xsite pro. Been using it (occasionnelly) since Day 1. It's ok it you don't have the time to learn how to code yourself.

The code that it does produce is not clean, and far from being W3C Validated.

And IMO, the vast majority of the sites that are created by xsitepro are at best, average visually.

But to create a quick sales page or a 2-5 pages sales site, it's good.

I've used Xsitepro since last year and find it to be quite powerful and rich in features but the only set back is no video tutorials, it will take a while for beginner to familiar themselves with the software.

Seriously though, I've found this software useful for small sites in niches.
As with anything there is a learning curve, but I will continue to use it because it allows me to create niche sites with ease.

I do recommend it to friends just starting out with no html experience, but with word processing experience.
I've found their forum useful as well.

When I first started in IM, and still did not have a huge background on html and php coding, I loved using XSP for creating sales letters etc.

Nowadays I don't use it too much anymore. Most of my sites are wordpress powered or coded by hand.

I guess what I wanted to say is it all depends on your preferences.

I have used and continue to use Xsite, but I will be honest and say that this software has caused me a lot of pain in my time. It has limited functionality in some regards, and relies heavily on tables, which causes slow load time and also isn't great for SEO. Considering it is designed for internet marketers I think they could improve this. However in saying that, unfortunately there is not a lot of other better basic HTML editors out there, of course Dream Weaver is better in my opinion.
