I recently had an article stolen by an iWriter client. The client rejected the article and then proceeded to post the content online. I sent a support ticket in with 100 percent proof that the client had stolen the article; I have screenshots as well as a link to where the article is live.

The response by iWriter staff was unsatisfactory, and it looks like payment for my work won't be forthcoming. I'm not sure what else they want; the content that I wrote has been posted on the client's site.

The payment there is also substandard, and I would advise new writers to look for better options. As for clients, well, if you need well written content by native English speakers, there are better options as well. I did order an article through this service once and it was basically unusable. I didn't really need it anyway, though; I was just trying to use up a credit they'd given me the first time I found rejected content online.

It was extremely clear that the article I received wasn't written by a native English speaker. This place seems like it's mainly set up so that ESL writers can make a few pennies, but that type of content is a liability these days.

That sucks I've never used IWriter from the writers side of things. I've bought from them and the articles were decent after rejecting several.

When I did writing on iWriter, I used to check the client reviews thoroughly before accepting an article to write, since the star ratings are totally useless from the writer perspective. I hoped this would prevent issues like what you're talking about. Unfortunately, I later found out that they'll actually delete some negative reviews of clients, so there's absolutely no way to find out if you're writing for a lowlife creep who will rip you off.

Seriously, never again. It's not worth it at all.

It seems impossible to leave an honest review of a bad client there; the system doesn't allow it. Rejection rates don't necessarily mean much either because of the ESL writers there who've learned to scam the system.

It never was a major egg of mine, so it's no big loss, but it came as somewhat of a surprise when sending a support ticket with absolute proof that the client had stolen my work had no results.
