VideoMakerFX - anyone having problems accessing?

I'm just wondering if anyone who purchased VideoMakerFX have received their access details. I got this nearly ten hours ago and haven't received anything other than my receipts.

I used the support desk, but it doesn't create a ticket number and I received no email response, so I don't know if it even went through. I also emailed support and haven't received anything back as well.

I understand this has been a very successful launch for the product creators and jv partners, but as a customer, with the support desk obviously not working correctly, I feel a little burned. Have my request even been received? How can I know?

I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. And, if the product creators sees this thread, can shed a little light on what's happening.

I really wanted to purchase this...it looked great...however I read the fine print and it only comes with support and updates for 1 year...that was a major deal breaker for me.

I'm sure it would have been a deal breaker for others as well if they had read the fine print

    Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you can't access the software! I had the good fortune of having the software running in a matter of minutes from the time I purchased.

Almost immediately after I had paid I received my paypal receipt and an email from support@videomakerfx.com that contained my login details.

    Best of luck!

That's awesome Don, I'm glad to hear you didn't have any problems. I don't have any idea why I haven't received my own log-in details. I sent an email to support@videomakerfx.com earlier today from my gmail address which is different from my PayPal email just in case my IP is screwing with my incoming emails. I hope that's not the case. I don't use a spam blocker or have a spam folder, so I'm baffled. I just hope my request has been received, right now there's no way to know which adds to the frustration.

    Thanks man,

          Hi Guys,

          It's Peter Here, from VideoMakerFX.

I sincerely apologize for all the access issues. The shear demand for the software has crashed some of the membership registration systems and we are having to send the info manually to those that email us. We've been working hard to investigate and fix the issues.

IF You purchased VideoMakerFX and don't have any access to the members area to download the software, please email vfxlogin@gmail.com . This is our dedicated email for these issues, be sure to mention your full name, email, paypal email, and paypal transaction IDs if possible and we will resolve that for you as soon as possible!

I bought this too, and received access immediately for front end offer. But still waiting to receive access to one of the downsell. But support is responsive, i contacted them for a tech question and they answered within ten minutes. As far as video maker is concerned, it is useful(plenty of customization options and built in effects and themes) given the price.

So far so good...I'm not past the playing around stage yet but it seems like it will be a solid piece of software that does more than the boring regular old slideshow.

      The OTO's -->

$37 O.T.O 1 – ProThemes Pack: Incredible character and explainer style themes/animations add on of over 100+ scenes > $27 O.T.O 2 – VideoProfitFX: Additional themes that are built to be sold to online and local businesses as well as video training.
The first OTO also has an option to receive more themes/scenes every month for a monthly fee.

The software comes with about 40 "themes" built in with around 240 total scenes. Lot's of different variations of "fly ins" and "animations" (scenes with movement) and you can also do background music and voiceovers at the same time from within the software.

The software sometimes has a bit of a glitch when starting it up...but that is corrected by simply restarting. Once running the interface is nice and the software seems to run smooth.

The membership site seems professional and they already have a fairly active forum going.

I already have a ton of slideshow software including ProShow Gold but so far I am happy that I purchased this one. If they continue to develop and support this I believe it may be a real hit.

      Regards,

      -don

There appears to be a rendering problem with the software when exporting.

Do you have any problems exporting your projects Don?

      Hi,

      What issues are you seeing?

Fortunately for me I have not ran into any problems yet. Here is the world's quickest test render that I just did for this thread. Do make sure you play it at 720P... This was rendered on a small i3 Win7x64 machine on the "good" setting @ 1280x720. The red text looks a little funky because I used a glow 'text effect".

I've had this problem terribly - whenever I export, then view the video, it freezes on one of the frames, a different one each time. I thought it was just me, but see it isn't. If it keeps happening it makes the product useless, and a refund will be on the cards ;-(

I do see lots of people posting in the forums are having this issue. I guess I am feeling lucky that the software runs smooth on my system! Peter seems to be aware of the the problems so hopefully good things will come to those who are patient.

Guys, it’s Peter here and I deeply apologize some users are facing certain issues with the software, we are trying to determine the cause of the problem because during our testing and beta testing these issues did not present themselves, thus we are trying to check if it’s a problem with the current version that was made for release.

We have never expected this much demand for VideoMakerFX and we’re trying to get to your support requests, we also want to have an update ready for you very soon that can resolve some of these issues.

Please be patient, you will receive all the free updates to this software and we only plan on expanding it more. Please be patient, we’re going to do everything possible to look into the issue.

I sincerely appreciate all of your support and hope to really let you make even more awesome videos.

I've had another problem that you haven't - the recording of my voice over the video doesn't work, as the video playback doesnt go at the right speed!
I hope the problems get sorted as I'm not a big software person, and this looked so good. The video itself looks good, but unless export problems are fixed, it's like a box of borken pencils - pointless!

I'm glad it's working for you.
I tested on projects with 4 to 5 slides making up about 30 seconds to a minute.
And the graphic output freezes halfway into the video while audio continues playing.

With more testing, I noticed that this occurs to me when I render in HD.
I will see what support has to say.

Hey All, I too had SERIOUSLY frustrating issues with rendering because the programme kept hanging However, having read the VMfx forum posts on the members site (which they've now taken down - too many complaints?) I figured out my 23 slide video was too long to render properly (esp as it was 16 minutes long). The pictures were falling off the right bottom or too small in the top left and on one render the audio stopped after 5 secs. Others were having success with shorter videos, so I broke mine down into shorter 5-6 slide videos and it worked beautifully every single time.

Because I'm creating a course that needs longer videos, I have had to import each short vid into camtasia to string the whole video together, but as a quick fix until they sort the bugs out, it worked really well (just an extra step). I think once they have fixed the bugginess, VMfx is going to be a truly powerful and easy to use piece of kit - one that I've been searching for a long long time! Well worth the money, even if I have to do the extra step. Sure beats having to put powerpoint slides together and faff around with all that rot DPWW

This software is not ready for prime time IMHO! Upgraded to 1.01 and it still hangs on render and now loads slides out of sequence. I am not buying the old computer theory either since I usually have Adobe AE, Reallusion iclone, Camtasia, and Proshow Producer open and running various projects at the same time and have never had rendering issues on my rig. I've closed everything down and it still hangs at various resolutions and dimensions.

That's why I finally decided to pass up on this. The type of issues people are having is evidence of more than just a few minor "bugs". We're talkin' major program dysfunction.

If they come out with a stable version in the future, I'll buy it even if it costs more.

What sucks is that a lot of people, even knowing about the issues, still purchased because of "the offer". People will think (and I've done it more times myself than I care to remember) 'Well, it's got a few kinks, but I better grab it anyhow since the price is so low. Don't want to miss out on this deal' - then days go by, weeks go by, months, and some of these products continue to have issues. Always a gamble.

            Hi Joan,
Lots of posts about how to use the software by using other programmes to do the functions that this software is unable to!

Still not sorted the biggest problem of the rendering.
The implication is it's our fault as we don't have good enough computers, although I didn't see any of that in the sales pages!

Still sending me emails promoting other things, new webinars, etc, that all seems to be working fine!
I worry that a lot of people will be not refunding, waiting on the promises of the problem being sorted, only to find otu after the refund period they will issue a notice saying 'sorry you need a better computer'.

Not for me, if not sorted a week before refund period, I'll be out, to beat the rush.
Shame, as the software looked great, and I was all excited about promoting it, until I tried using it!

Personally I think you've made the right decision.
            cheers,
            Gordon

I seem to recall that they mentioned in the sales video that the software would work on any computer bought in the last 5 years. So they probably made that statement without any real beta testing. I'm asking for a refund too.

I just tried a 5 slide 45 second presentation with background music rendered at the highest quality settings and had no issues. The render was quick enough (maybe 30 seconds) and the output was sharp.

I sure hope you get your issue resolved!

        Hello,

Yes, you can record your voice outside of the software and then load the voice track into it. Or alternatively, you can add a voiceover track from within the software. In either case, you can also add a backing music track along with the voiceover track.

The tiny video I posted above has my voiceover made from within the software.

Hello, many people use Audacity --> it's a free open source audio editor and recorder. However, it's relatively easy to time your voiceover audio from within this software so an external audio program may not be needed.

The sample videos on the VideoMakerFX sales page look kinda funky and cheap which makes me wonder since that is their sales page that maybe that is the best the program can produce? Anyway, seeing those makes me wonder if its possible to make professional looking videos using the program without paying for their upsell?

Ditto - Back to the hype of early IM days -

It looks like powerpoint slide ins and white boarding that does not resemble the high end white boarding they use as a reference - these do not have that wow power based on the demo, but they ref the high end videos at hundreds and thousands dollars as if its the same - thats what I mean by over extending and therefore comes across as hype -

A much more appreciative and trust building presentation would be to show the build out of a video from concept to script to production and then compare there process vs using animoto, powerpoint, camtasia etc -

And finally, if they could address the quality issue - if otos improve the design then they should be in the demo, t then again most all IM launches focus on foundational newbie issues anyway -

All of this said, I will likely take at look but for another reason - just to get good at developing short videos - with effects, animation, music etc - to me this alone may be more valuable if its quick! - Rendering is a pain in the ass.

Getting that process down tight can only improve any production whether you use other tools, you outsource etc...I can then spend more time n improving design, look and feel perhaps with this product or other tools -

I am not slamming the product or concept - the message is a little aggressive vs the quality I see in the demo - Ex - now you can go out and market 30 second videos that look like this for thousands of dollars - just like the big guys - The target market for this quality would be the mom and pop mainstreet biz - to ref the high end whiteboard productions we are used to (valid for F1000-F50) corporations is hype.

Read this whole thread and went ahead to buy it last night , here is my experience so far.

Bought it at $57 and went for the 2 onetime offers as well, the first at $37 is for more templates , the second also at $37 is for more templates a course on selling your videos and a software for finding leads , and checking which sites have videos , Is mobile optimized, and their social strengths , contact number email and a few other data sets ,this alone is worth it's weight in gold

So i log into the software to try and create my first video , the software is pretty easy to use , there were more than enough templates and effects and all the bells and whistles promised.

Only negative i saw with the collection is the music library is a bit small and i hope they intend to add more jingles , also I hope they keep adding more animations as opposed to word slides to the monthly membership which i feel is a steal as you get 50 templates a month for 17 dollars which is not bad , I hope they put out a lifetime licence .

Anyway I used a template without much editing I only changed the names and a few texts etc , rendered it and in less than 5 minutes i had a video i would have happily paid a few hundred dollars for , I used to make my own videos to save cost but could only make so many a month , with this I can see myself cranking out a few a day and with 50 new templates a month , I can see the prospects of making a few extra quid from making videos for clients as the end result was decent.

My end result was good , the video i made had me smiling and it was too easy , I would definitely mix up the templates if marketing to the internet marketing niche as i am sure a lot of people will use the default template , but for non IM related niches I am sure one can get away with using the default templates .

Well that is my honest experience so far , If I have any more info to share i will add it. For now I will go through the course as to me it is really a bonus , I am perfectly happy to pay what I did for just the video software and lead generation software.

Here is a link to the video I made https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=534701616639786 , took less than 5 mins you can view it here so you see what type of quality you get , I rendered this at 1280x70 and set it to the best quality output the software has , and this is the result , like i said took less than 5 minutes if i put an extra 5 minutes into it , add a few more vector cartoons , a few charts , images etc , i would have a truly unique video , with this i used the default template , which to me is pretty darn good .

Please like and share the vid if you found my review helpful

According to the sales page, Videomakerfx can load and use your own images and video clips. I've seen a couple of examples of slides with images in but I haven't seen any with a video clip.

I'm guessing that the button on the far right that looks like a camera is an import button, yet nobody has even mentioned it in their reviews.

So, has anyone managed to create a movie that includes their own video clips?

        Thanks,
        Mark

          Hello,

Yes, you can add video clips of 4, 5, 6, 15, 20 or 30 seconds. The software will automatically cut your video to one of those lengths if it is longer than the timing you select. This ultra quick demo below is a slide, then an .mp4 video, and then another slide.

          Video In The Middle

The software strips any audio from the video and then you can lay a new track(s) voiceover and/or background music down on your compilation.

          Cheers!

I purchased last night, got my access right away and made a video already. It's without sound right now as I just wanted to get it out the door, but overall I found it to be a pretty fun and straight-forward process. I'll post back once I've done a video with a soundtrack.

      Hi Joan,

Well, I have not had any problems or issues with the software which is a very good thing.

      Pros:

      Ease of Use
      Decent Interface
Can add background track and/or voiceover from within the software
Relatively easy to add voiceovers as you can see a preview while recording
Creates several different types of videos/animations
Lots of movement/animation with the built in slides - albeit simple stuff
Can import video and images into the software
Rendering speed and quality is decent
Promise of making more scenes/themes monthly - for a fee though
      Decent Price

      Cons:

Many people using the exact same animation styles and characters
Audio is pretty simple...no fades unless you create import faded tracks
Limited controls and options are simple...but that's why it's quick and easy
The software must call home/verify when you open it

This is not a comprehensive list...but it's a start and I am hoping the may add a few more features down the road. For sure the type of videos/animations the software creates are pretty popular right now...some people love them, but others hate them, so take that feature for what it's worth!

      Best of luck!

Yeah, I'm thinking this would serve to create some brief (under a minute) intro videos, but I know when I see these type of videos extend beyond that, I'm like "Ugh. Come on!"

If a video can be created with this that would lead into a normal demo video without rendering problems, I'd be interested, but I'm still on the fence with this one.

      H Joan,
I liked thelook of it before buying, enjoyed making first try out video, but then had rendering problesm which still persist. Unfortunatelt this makes the product useless for me, unless the problem gets sorted I'll be refunding, which is a shame as the software looks good, but software that doesn't work is a waste of time, I'll post update if it gets sorted or whether I refunded,

I have the same rendering problem videos look fine in preview but when exporting they are either freezing or the slides appear for about 1 second. Seems like a good software if it is sorted I haven't been able to get one video exported and I have tried all types of video settings.

The pc I am trying this is XP if that makes any difference.

        Hope for an update soon.

We're also very close to realeasing our update to provide much needed audio during preview, audio fade in/out and working to solve the causes of the
rendering problems which have been occuring on older computers that have
trouble keeping up with the power of the software.

I just bought my copy of VideoMakerFX. The purchasing process and installation went quite smoothly. And it worked exactly as the promotion video shows.

However, I was DISAPPOINTED TO FIND THE PRODUCT USELESS, because the text area rejects two byte characters.

My target customers (and myself) are Japanese, so a video presentation in English has no commercial value.

I wonder why a software manufacturer can afford to give up half the world population so easily. Marketers like me can handle English softwares, but the target audience would see presentations only if they are prepared in the local language.

Adding the ability to use Japanese and Simplified Chinese fonts (even just MS Gothic fonts would do) will make the product commercially meaningful to 1.4 billion more people.

    VideoMakerFX: My honest review

    Just bought VideoMakerFX.

VideoMakerFX looks great, fast and easy to use but:

    - I share Haruka as I use also foreign languages with special alphabet, it have been more than honest to state it directly inside the sale page.

I share also Don pro and cons

Working in the travel and tour industry I find the slides themes far too much restricted to business, SEO, money, as animation is not editable we are restricting to use the same themes so we will have a sense of "deja vu" video.

For 44 USD I can not complain too much you get what you pay for but this product doesn't represent a higher value.

As far as I have seen there is no limit on how long your videos can be. You can keep adding slides. But 10-15 minute videos are too long, imo 3 minutes should be the limit for most promotion videos. But maybe you have other ideas for your videos like explainer etc.

I bought the product and found it easier to use than expected. Probably won't use the cartoon templates but the kinetic text and whiteboard videos I made really look good. Each template set is already story boarded, making it easier to script.

That being said, ease of use means nothing if you can't create a final product.

    1. Sometimes slides arbitrarily shuffle out of sequence.
    2. No rendering problems but when uploaded to youtube they stop playing about 2/3 through. Spent a whole day troubleshooting that problem, to no avail.
    3. Had a live chat with customer service today - the guy had no idea how to help and had no suggestions.
    3. Submitted a trouble ticket about a previous problem Saturday, received a reply tonight (Monday).

Given the fact that I've already sold 3 videos for a decent price, I'm going to be up the creek if these problems aren't resolved soon.

I'll sit through the latest training webinar and try to get my questions answered. If not, back it goes.

    Good luck everybody.

yep - my refund is going in today. Shame, as it looked good before I bought it, looked good when I used it, until I tried to export the video at which point I realised it didn't work.
They haven't managed to fix the problem so I suspect the refunds will come in thick and fast as the 30 day deadline approaches for the waves of buyers that bought it on launch

I went on fiverr last night to see if someone could recreate my videos for me (assuming the problem lies with one of my computers). Turns out there's at least a dozen sellers obviously using the VMFX software. The clever ones are upselling the music track a la carte. Of course, WE know that doesn't take any extra work.

        Good on them!

Other than not being able to crank out videos on the fly, it might be a better idea to outsource the work at $5-$15 a piece and be done with the headaches.

Again, I'm going to see how they sound on tomorrow's webinar before making a final decision.

        Cheers

Yea, all these problems existed for me as well, and what I did to resolve most of the issue was to PREVIEW it again before rendering and most of them were fixed. And if not, I played that specific slide again and then it was corrected

Yea, many people have been using it now, and we could still manage to make some sales on our video creation service [Wanna see? PM me]

why can we not login to videomakerfx so fed up.

how can i make my money with no access to my software?

    SOLVED....

The software is fantastic and the new update will fix all the rendering problems on old computers.

Here what was said recently from the videomakerfx team....

    16/may/2014

    Hey Everyone,
A new update will be coming.
With this new release we will be moving all projects, voice records and exported video files to “My Documents” on Windows or documents area on the Mac. So with new updates this information will always be retained for you.
This should be made available in the next 1-2 days and will of course address the rendering issues, for which we had a patch released but we still need to perfect it. In case you have a support ticket open we will send you the new testing version to resolve rendering issues.
Also a much needed Save As function will also be implemented!
Best Regards and have a great weekend!
    Peter Roszak

    20/may/20014 message today.

We are still working hard on getting you the new software update. We’ve had some setbacks that have taken it longer to roll out then expected, and we are doing testing on many computers to ensure maximum compatibility and performance.
I really hope to have it posted for you here, ready to go no more then another 1-2 days from now. This update will resolve many issues users have been experiencing and improve the overall usability as wel

I noticed you want me to go and buy or rent adobe after effects, and your simple video pro, with another oto from you , but that to much cost at the moment,

i loved the video you made nick, but i need more tutorials with
videomakerfx can do it self, and not other software or applications, would be nice if you can team with petter and add the features you advertise, that your software does know, that be worth having, and seeing, it in videomakerfx, promoting other 3rd party applications while where all trying to get videomakerfx of the ground is not helping new users unless they can afford your software or ad don applications sorry,

once i have used videomakerfx and made some dosh with petters application then moving onto your software i might consider, but i don't see why petter software videomakerfx can not have all the features as your video pro software, now tat be worth buying...

If they banned you I doubt that you would be able to login. Maybe you have a bad hop or are experiencing some sort of DNS issue.

Do a tracert and see what you can see.

I would also put in a support ticket and see what they say. I have had weird things happen in the past --> like not being able to access my webhost's site to pay my bill. I had been with the company over 10 years and my webhost worked with my ISP and they determined it was an ISP issue which was resolved in a few days.

That user's problem was the inability to access the site via their normal IP address. Of course the user was more than likely not banned but simply asking for a new password was not going to solve the issue.

I created my first video yesterday using this software. For me it worked great! I was able to create a 90 seconds whiteboard video and it was actually fun to do it. I was going to pay $5 per second on Fiverr, so it saved me some money. And my order was not going to be for HD which would have been more costly.

I'm getting a professional voice over for the video as I didn't want to record this particular one with my own voice. My video was short, so didn't have any problems with rendering.

For me so far so good. Will see how it goes with longer videos...

The thing is i do not even expect it to do longer videos , that is not what it was built for , it is not a video editing software and i do not think they ever presented it as one , i would not even bother trying to do long videos with this i can see myself ripping my hair out if i try , if i need long videos of this nature , I would rather create multiple short videos and stitch them up and render with a proper video editor .

I waited for the new update to fix the render issues, downloaded it and it seemed to go ok, but then when I went to record my owm audio, another old problem appeared - the slides were lagging as I recorded the audio, so no way to synch them up.

That's 28 days after purchase, so the refund went in unfortunately. Good idea, but simply not working to do the job it's supposed to.

There is no reason to "feel nervous" as they will honor their refund policy like they did when I bought it. I couldn't get it to work and I work with much more complicated video programs than this, but I would like to know if its bug free now because if it is then I would buy it again.

The only problem I had was when they updated a couple of months ago and it was tricky to edit previous videos. Apart from that, it works like a dream and I've created some very cool videos, very quickly, which look professional.

Some folks had issues with bandwidth speed causing all kinds of glitches.

Maybe you could try quitting out of all other applications and test it again, to see if it's any better now.

            I highly recommend VMFX.

            cheers

Can someone please share if the common issues were solved in the new version (1.05) of Videomakerfx?

    Common issues:

    1) Slides missing after exporting
    2) The "Save as" function not working properly (you were only able to save your project in 1 specific folder)
    3) Videomakerfx assigning default names for your projects and not letting you change them
    4) If you were to start a project and save it for later, the slides would be out of order when you open the project later.

    Thanks,

    Eugen

Yikes I would also like to know if those problems were fixed. What version were you using? Can anyone here tell us what the current version is? Just curious how often it is updated since so many products get released on WSO that have little to no support after they collect their money.

I haven't purchased the software yet. Looks like the current version is 1.05. The support website talks about it here:

        Version 1.05 Released - June 3, 2014 : VideoMakerFX Support

If you look through some threads on their support site, they claim to have resolved the previous issues. I just wanted to know if people could comment on that before I buy the soft.

        Thanks,
        Eugen

Hi, my 2c worth -- I've been using VMFX for two months and it's the best little investment I've made in years!

If you're looking for a way to make fast, short videos that look professional -- this is a great way to do that.

If you're looking for a way to create very long videos and do all kinds of editing -- this is NOT going to work.

      VMFX is a video "creator"

For video editing, try Camtasia for Mac/PC or Screenflow for Mac.

I've exported VMFX videos (using green screen techiniques) and then edited them to show the VMFX animated text slides playing with my videos in the background -- sweet :-)

Love it and highly recommend it for those who've had trouble making professional-looking videos in the past.

Webgirl42 - It wouldn't work for me on a Mac. Are you using Windows?

Hey magentawave -- yes I'm on a Macbook Pro, never had a problem at all.

The Mac version works just fine, and I've made a ton of videos already.

      What difficulties did you have?

Question to anyone who has purchased - are you seeing any updates maintenance on this product? I have bought too many products that rarely get updated if at all.

I am not using it as regularly as I should but whenever I have to use it, it works without a glitch. Latest major update was in June (not sure, might be newer ones?). I have also bought the add-on packages, and they are cool - the only problem is that I am not exactly an internet marketer. The training is well-designed, and one of the greatest assets is the Facebook group - fast support, a lively community of people sharing ideas, resources, links and so on. I initially bought it for the scribing functionality but it's a great tool to have if your work involves video-making in any shape and form.

I just bought the new version. Hey, it looks good, but the up sells are annoying. Like I am a paying consumer. Why all the pop up pages. Most are for products that I would never order any way.

✂ stop the up sells, cut it out!

Upsells are usually where most of the money is made. That's not going to end anytime soon.

VMFX has made good money as a piece of software, but the real wealth gained here is from the continuity program - 24,000 members and growing, and at $17 a month. No chump change.
