I am thinking about running my first ever wso. I don't want to make a mess of it.

Any top w.s.o.'s on this subject? LOL

Is there a formula for potentially getting the best out of it. No guarantees of course, I am not that green.

Hey my friend. I don't really know of any great courses on how to make WSOs. I haven't dived into that field yet although I have created products in other niches. But, Im going to keep my eyes peeled on this thread to see what great answers you get. I may have to jump on the bandwagon myself. Lol.

A few tips I can give from the WSOs I have purchased and what I see. WSOs range from 3 pg ebooks to even 40 pg ebooks and some WSOs are full blown video courses with a membership area and all.

But Ive seen 5 page ebooks sell like crazy at $27 a pop with a simple OTO or upsell rather on the backend. Haha. IMHO all that matters is that you get the information in the ebook or the video. However you want to format it... and that the information is clear and actionable and that your customers feel that the value the product offers was money well spent.

But back to the point of me actually posting this reply, I just wanted to stop by and wish you luck on getting your first WSO out and ready to go. I hope everything beautifully falls into place for you on this new goal you've set for yourself my friend.

seems good. i am not concerned about the money from it but the best format, style, etc. Like in all life there seems to be a best formula for potential success.

Just make sure that you offer quality and provide a real solution to your target market..

Have you ever purchased a WSO? I mean good ones? If you have then take some ideas from how they set up their WSO..

  1.) Solve a problem
  
  2) Write really good copy in the sales letter.
  
  3) Provide proof of your solution.
  
  4) Get testimonials from those who have used your product in the actual thread.
  
  5) Bumb your thread when you can.
  
  I'm sure there are more tips. But the biggest is creating a solution and then filling it.
  
  Then having the proof to back it up with testimonials from those who have used your product.

The first and most important step in marketing anything is market research. I would advise you to save your money until you do a little digging to find out if there is any interest in what you have to teach.

I have serious doubts about the viability of your course if it has nothing to do with internet marketing or making money online, since that is the subject of this forum.

I have taught guitar lessons, for example, but I wouldn't waste my time trying to sell a guitar course here. You might want to check out Udemy, if your subject isn't one which is a hot WF topic. They offer a marketing platform and lots of traffic for all kinds of courses, from how to sell real estate, to how to lose weight.

Even if you are selling something internet marketing related, you need to do some searching to see what courses are hot sellers; some topics are a lot easier to sell than others. For example, selling tee shirts is a very hot topic right now, and Facebook marketing has been for some time, but you can expect an uphill battle, if you try to sell a course on how to keep your website compliant with the latest FTC rules.

If you buy a course on selling WSOs, and it's any good, it will definitely advise you to start with market research. So I may have just saved you a few bucks. I am very skeptical of your ability to do well in the WSO section with a course having nothing to do with internet marketing. It's like trying to sell baseball gloves in a surfboard store.

It is very unlikely that you will understand exactly howto do it after reading just one WSO.

If you really want to be a successful WSO seller you should bet all the WSOs on creating WSOs.
