Has Anyone Here Used FastSpring.com (Payment Processing/Order Fulfillment)?

On the face of it, they appear to provide just about everything you can think of when it comes to payment processing and order fulfillment, and appear to compare favourably to the likes of Clickbank when it comes to costs (although sans Clickbank's affiliate network).

See...

FastSpring SpringBoard Service & Features - Payment and Merchandising Solutions for Downloadable Software and Services, Software Distribution and Marketing, Software E-Commerce and Payment Processing

However, I'd love to hear the experience of anyone that already uses their service.

Does anyone here use them?

Thanks,
Tommy.

    Hey Thomas,

We have used 2checkout, paypal and now FastSpring. All I can tell you is that the support is amazing and we are more then happy with how things are working out. The great thing is you can accept credit cards (for the people who don't like using paypal) and paypal through them. Its also great that they allow you to keep the look and feel of your site through the whole checkout process.

We give them 2 thumbs up.

      Hey Logonerds,
I visited your website and discovered a customer login page that required a username and password to login. What do you actually need that for and did the fastspring.com package come with those? I hope I made myself clear?

I got in touch with them, but I was turned down becos I'll be offering graphic design services. And I told them about logonerds, but they replied back saying that they (logonerds) had already signed up before they restructured and that's why they were accepted. So I'll have to go with Plimus instead...

Yes I use them and they are great. As one warrior pointed out, they have amazing customer service. In fact you get a "one on one" customer support, meaning whenever I contact support the same guy is there to help me. This is great because he is there from the start so he knows what is going on.

The one problem I have though, is that they do not support recurring billing.

So if you are setting up a membership site and you want to charge monthly then look elsewhere.

But all in all they are great ... plus no setup fees! So if you sell anything, you dont lose out!

Thanks for the info here guys, about fastspring.com. I just did a search about them here in the forum and I have no doubt, there're the one I'll be going for concerning the use of a reputable payment processor for my graphic design business.

I use them for software sales, they are indeed pretty good.

The downside is they take their fee, then pay me via paypal, who also take a fee. As such they're an expensive option for me due to my UK bank account, not US.

Still worth having though and vastly better than so many of the "Digital River" stuff out there. DR own a lot of the companies, through buying them out. Once DR owns it, the service become crap.

Fastspring are really amazing. Been with them 2 months now and could not be happier with their service. Their response times are so fast, it's something I haven't experienced before with this sort of thing.
