if your running a REAL Business.. you should use a vendor that charges per month and is dedicated to the product.. NOT these make believe marketers selling these cheap products ..

Mainwp is a free plug in where you pay only for extensions and only once for far less. There is also no limits on the sites and it is very stable. I didn't see any feature not available in Mainwp.

Finally they do not spam email addresses like WPfastdash which is the only reason I am commenting. Sure sign of spammers (besides knowing you never signed up to receive their email)? when you go to unsubscribe they don't even have your name but list your name as "friend".

I have purchased this product and while it is true that the product launch was a disaster and a great example of what NOT to do when launching a product, I am inclined to give them them a chance to see if they can get it sorted.

As for MainWP, each extension is 20 bucks, to get the same features of which not all are actually available, you would need to spend $140.00 plus a few extensions they do not have.

All in all, its a disappointment, mostly from the perspective that if the service does not survive, your out your investment, simply because the service is online only so if something were to happen and they decided that the cost to maintain the service was higher than the revenue coming in eventually they would close it down.

I would hope they would provide a self hosted option in that event but that is not the normal thing that happens.

I was interested enough to give it a look, so far the excuse given is that there was more traffic than the server could handle, ( not really a good excuse because excuses are not really a good method of doing business) but it can be something to learn from.

If you're getting ready to launch a product make sure you can scale your server to meet the demand of traffic, another thing to learn from this mess is that there is no substitute for thorough testing.

Professional testing, involves benchmarking the server, (eliminates traffic concerns)

Browser testing, to insure compatibility with the top three or four browsers.

The biggest problem I see right now is the lack of a secure option for accounts

(yet another testing scenario)

When you leave a web page and then later open that same URL in the browser you should NOT be able to access the web page without logging into the system.

This is a simple yet very serious issue.

Another issue is the lack of a secure "tunnel" from the main plugin to the child plugin.

I think they are sincere and they are trying to get it up and running, but it looks like they did not plan

the launch very well and it also appears that the code itself may not be well managed.

(they may well address these issues as soon as they have a back end scalable server in place)

I purchased this as well, to see if it would be a viable alternative to ManageWP, which is working well for me.
I agree that the launch and the system issues have been a problem, and am willing to give them some time to sort them out.
It's a complex beast that they are building.

I also am more comfortable with using services that have a monthly fee, and therefore can fund ongoing development. Apparently this "one off" price is intended to be temporary, and will change to a monthly fee in future.

One of the owners of the company who has developed this applications has made a video which is available on the members site, where he explains the problems, and what they are doing to fix it.

I have no reason to doubt what he says, so let's see how it goes. I don't have a burning need for this to be 100% functional right now, so I hope that they get their act together soon.
Like Tim said, they have a 30 day money back guarantee.

With the funds generated from the launch, they should certainly be able to afford the manpower and hardware resources to get this fully operational during this time.

UPDATE:
It's now 4 days since the launch of this product, and it is still not available for use.
It is still being heavily promoted and sold by affiliates. And the launch sequence with the increasing prices is still going.
3 days ago, the creator made a video and said that the delay was due to the strong interest, which has required moving to a new server. And rewriting all the code.
On a note in the members area, it stated that everything including the upsells was estimated to be operational "in 36 hours"
After 80 hours, still nothing is working.
And there are no further updates to explain the further delays.
Not good.

I heard from them today, I am not very encouraged, I expressed some concerns over the User Interface and the methods used to communicate with wordpress, have not heard back on that yet. If they can get it to work and clear up some of the design flaws, I can see where it would be a time saving tool.

To be honest I have not ever seen a product developed in this way, I don't know if they hired the wrong programming team or if they are just lost in a maze of incompetence.

Time will tell, but so far, I am not feeling the trust and the confidence I like to see with product development.

Be good to hear from the creators Bill Guthrie & Co to see what their reasons for not testing properly before release and plans for the future are.

Reminds me of being a Microsoft guinea pig - constant updates before a brand new release with more constant updates.

All my backups are handled by my host's R1Soft services and a 3rd party RSync company. If someone is relying on this software for scheduled backups, then it's time to devise a better disaster recovery strategy.

Cloud simply means backups for DropBox, Amazon S3, Box, etc. Having a good host with backups nullifies this need.

I've never cloned. I could see this being useful to marketers that pump out websites like crazy but they probably own WPTwin already. If I was going to clone, there are free and inexpensive plugins that will let me do it. WordPress › WordPress Duplicator « WordPress Plugins.

Publishing posts from a dashboard? Also never done it.

This leaves metrics. That's the only feature you're really paying for over InfiniteWP. If it works well, then it might be worth it. However, I'm already using Google Analytics and AccurankTracker to handle metrics and SE position.

WPFastdash sent an email to users today, and released an update of their plugin.
Backups are now enabled, so they are working on it.
I'm inclined to give them more time to sort it out and get it running.

@Jesus Perez - Yes, I take your point about alternatives for the other tasks, but still believe that Fastdash will be worthwhile if it delivers as promised. And I agree about the analytics .

@DavidY - I'm sure that when it is working properly it will be able to install and update its own plugin.
I don't trust it as yet, and have only put in details of one site. I'm not going to waste time putting in more sites unless and until its proven to be reliable.

I asked specifically when the 30 day refund countdown begins and was told that it is now 60 days from the date of purchase. You may want to confirm that since I have not seen or heard of any public announcement to that effect.

I'm seeing some tangible progress. A few hours ago, I could not add four sites - most of my sites I was able to add without issue. I kept getting the uninformative error message, "Please check your site configuration".

I opened a service ticket and was just responded to with a request to check and now I can add them.

With v0.3 of their plugin, site and database backups are now working.

I still can't understand why they have to rewrite all of their coding - unless the disk on their development server failed and they had no backup.

version 0.4 of the plugin is out now.

What is odd about the Update All button is that it is not really Update All but Update All plugins listed on this page.

Meaning that if you have multiple pages of websites, you have to click Update All on every page.

I hope that gets fixed soon.

A more sorely needed feature is an ignore plugin update.

  I purchased the $57 Enterprise edition of WP FastDash.
  It's a web-based portal to manage all your WordPress sites from one central location.
  
  First, I want to say that I appreciate anybody who tries to create & deliver any product or service that can make running a site or business faster, better, easier and/or less expensive; to that end, WP FastDash offered a solution that promised to make the management of WP sites/business faster, better, easier, and less expensive.
  
  Second, I do believe that Bill Guthries & BWI Press have worked to try to deliver on that promise; as of this writing, WP FastDash still did not deliver, but I also believe they are still working on it.
  
  Here's my experience with WP FastDash and with the company, BWI Press.
  
  As stated, I purchased the Enterprise edition of WP FastDash. The features it was to provide that interested me most were these:
  
  Scheduled, automated unlimited backups to BWI Press Amazon EC2 servers for all my WP sites
  
  Ability to update plugins, themes, etc. on all sites, from one central web-based dashboard that BWI Press hosted
  
  WP FastDash promised other features that you can read about at their site.
  
  Once I logged into my dashboard, I was greeted with a note and video from Bill Guthrie that explained that upon their launch, their servers were overwhelmed and the actual WP FastDash application was scuttled; they had to rebuild it and that would take a short while.
  
  I was able to add some sites. I added less than 10 without any real difficulty.
  The immediate problem was that the dashboard did not register any of the sites needed plugin updates, yet I checked and knew that all the sites needed plugin updates. At that time, the dashboard did not have any of the other features working, as well.
  
  I corresponded with customer service multiple times. BWI Press support personnel were quick to reply and assured me the programmers were working around the clock to restore the entire service; I agreed to wait.
  
  Correspondence with support was handled through a typical FreshDesk experience, however a few days after my initial correspondence, and when I replied to an email sent from support, there was no reply from the company.
  
  I sent mulitple emails over the coming days; but there was still no reply. Then, approximately three days later, I received an email from support stating that if I had no further concerns, they would close the ticket. I launched the dashboard and noted that none of my emails were reported in the FreshDesk ticket system. I copied the text from all the emails I had sent and added the text to the ticket.
  
  A day later, support contacted me and had no real answer as to why email had failed. They stated that the programmers had only two more features to restore to the system, neither of which were the site update or backup features. I thought perhaps it was just my installation of WP FastDash that wasn't working for plugin updates and backups, so I asked if they considered those features repaired; I did not get a reply.
  
  After waiting a week, and without having the features working upon which I had based my decision to purchase, I requested a refund.
  
  Within minutes, I received a canned request to continue waiting, so they could show me the full service once they completed repairs.
  
  By this time, I had lost confidence in the company and product, so I continued my request for a refund - I have not, as of yet, received any communication that my refund has been issued, nor if it is in process.
  
  Since then, I did find another product/service that I am truly enthused about.
  
  I've installed the free MAIN WP plugin on my sites. This is a self-hosted solution.
  
  Essentially, you designate one of your sites as being your main site/dashboard and your other sites as being the child sites you will manage.
  
  This is accomplished through installation of two plugins: the main plugin on your dashboard/control site and the child plugin on the other sites.
  
  The installation, setup, and function of MAIN WP is fast, easy, and costs $0 - it works "out of the box" flawlessly.
  
  Also, the MAIN WP website, product documentation, help files/videos, and all other aspects are top notch.
  
  MAIN WP immediately found all plugins on all sites that needed an update.
  
  I had it perform the update and it worked immediately and quickly.
  
  I can accomplish everything I wanted originally from WP FastDash, but for free.
  The free version also has basic, network-wide SEO and three free extensions available: Securi sites scan, sites uptime monitor, and a content spinner!
  
  I should say that if you need to send backups offsite, there is an extension for that, as well as extensions for all kinds of other great features, such as central management of WordPress SEO, Post Dripper, Heatmaps, and more! Extensions are $19 each.
  
  In essence, I can backup all my sites, to an Amazon S3, scheduled & automated, forever...$19.
  
  In case you are unaware, Amazon gives you 5GB of S3 storage for free. After that, it's pennies for additional storage.
  
  For free, this solution offers even more than I orginally was looking for and it does it "faster, easier, better, and less expensive" (flawlessly, as well) as compared to my experience with WP FastDash. That's NOT hate language toward WP FastDash, BWI Press or Mr. Gutherie, it's un-biased reporting.
  
  Finally, I have not been an affiliate for ANY products or services (affiliate marketing is not my business model) however based on my experience with MAIN WP, I decided this is a product I can wholeheartedly recommend to anybody. Maybe I joined because MAIN WP killed my stress level and grew my confidence so quickly or maybe it's that in a recent round of product/service acquisitions, I found that more than half of the 11 products I purchased did not live up to the marketing. Whatever it may be, it's not important. I joined as an affiliate and if you want to add a few bucks to my wallet, I certainly would appreciate it.

I can't see that anything has happened in the last few days.
I'm inclined to give them another week - which makes 2 1/2 weeks from their launch.
If I don't see significant progress towards what they promised then I'll get a refund.

At least they've done the right thing and stopped selling the product now, and are just taking email addresses of interested people.

EDIT: I've just checked out Main WP, which I haven't visited for quite a while.
I'm impressed - Thanks to Tim and dlant for the heads-up.
I'll download this and give it a try.

UPDATE....

Up front, I admit that I am now angry. Please forgive me if any of that anger seeps through, I will try not to use this place to vent, but to inform.

Also, I'm sorry if my post is too long; I tend to like detail and think that maybe details can be helpful to somebody. If I'm wrong and there's an outcry against a longer post, then I'll not do it here again.

Here is what happened when I asked for a refund. I followed their refund policy and filed a separate ticket to request my refund.

Ticket #1: I asked for my refund. Customer service replied and asked me to wait for them to fix the problems. I stated I had waited a week already and would like a refund. I did not receive a reply from customer service after that.

Ticket #2: I requested my refund again: no reply.

Ticket #3: I asked if they received my request for a refund: no reply.

Ticket #4: I asked again: no reply.

Ticket #5: I asked again and stated that this experience was poor business tactics. I received a reply. They said they hadn't issued my refund, because they wanted me to wait so I could see all their features.

Ticket #6: I asked again for my refund: no reply yet.

I'm not sure of the business background of the owners of BWI Press, but I was raised in a family-owned business and have been involved in business for over 30 years. It has taught me this: when you don't deliver the product the customer paid for, it's your fault, not the customer's. If the customer is kind, they sympathize with you and whatever problem caused your inability to deliver. As a business owner, it's a blessing to have a customer who has already given you their money and then is kind enough to extend to you time to make it right. That said, if your customer decides they want a refund, it's not your place to then decide that they should continue waiting so you can, at some time later, show them all the stuff they should have received when they first turned over their money. And THAT is a kind way of saying what this company has done.

That leaves me with this; it wouldn't matter if they had the best tech solution now, I wouldn't do business with them, because from everything I have experienced so far, I have a hard time trusting what they say and do.

If WP FastDash were a simple throwaway plugin that did not promise a core set of features on which to govern a network of sites, I'd not have the same philosophy about this situation. That philosophy is like when I purchase a product or service that is to be a foundational element upon which other portions of my business are relying (like management of multiple websites) I look at the company with far greater hope. It is like when I purchae a rack of servers, it's not just the tech, but the company I'm marrying, as well. Can they support their tech, how reliable and trustworthy is the company, how do they behave when it's necessary to interact with them, etc.

I am to blame for not doing due diligence in my research. I admit, I was a fool, breaking my own rules and trying to quickly find ways to more streamline business operations; I was sold by the sales letter - my bad entirely. Yet, I'm curious for input from others who have purchased WP FastDash. Has anybody else asked for a refund, and if so, have you received it yet?

Finally, since making this mistake, I have already mentioned I like Main WP. Yesterday, I found this site that rates WP management solutions. Maybe this can help somebody: WordPress Management Software Comparison - WPscoop

And no, your post is not too long - thanks for taking the time to write such comprehensive posts.

I installed MainWP yesterday, and everything worked fine.
I then bought a couple of extensions which also worked as stated.

I shall leave it for a couple of days, and then ask for a refund from FastDash if there's no significant developments.

In regard to the launch of this product, it would appear to be additional proof of my view that the quality of the product is normally inversely proportional to the amount of hype.

UPDATE #2....

I have continued to request an immediate refund; and I have posted my additional requests within the original request ticket, as well as now on a separate ticket. Neither of my tickets have received a response.

SUMMARY TO DATE....

I originally asked customer support about the failure of WP FastDash to deliver the features sold to me.
Customer support asked me to wait till they fixed the program.
I waited one week and saw very little progress, other than to be able to add sites. Site updates, backups, etc., did not function ever.

After waiting a week, I asked for a refund and did not receive a reply.
Over the coming days, I sent numerous requests for a refund and asked that they reply to me - nobody replied.

Finally, I sent what I hoped to be my last request and this time mentioned that I saw there business practice as less than admirable.
Customer support replied and stated they did NOT issue my refund because THEY wanted me to wait till they fixed their problems.
I was incensed, but again stated clearly that I wanted an immediate refund.
Customer support did NOT reply.

Since that episode, I have again asked for an immediate refund and that somebody reply to me.
It has been been eight hours and still no response, however there is a new twist.

Now, the WP FastDash dashboard page does not open and the message, "the webpage is not available" is present.

The last thing I am going to do now is to file an additional ticket to duplicate my request for a refund. If that ticket is met with no reply and no refund, I am forced to assume the need to escalate this matter. I am torn at the point as to go more "public" with this, to take it to my credit card company, and/or to submit it to my lawyer.

I am interested to know:

1) has anybody received a refund and if so, what was your experience

2) what do you think I should do

  I sent an email to the address on my PayPal receipt and I did then receive a full refund and an email from Bill Guthrie within an hour. He stated that everything is working in the system and stats would be working within 24 hours.
  
  I am glad to receive the refund.
  I would be a liar if I said I was not irritated by the amount of time and frustration it has taken to get the refund.
  
  I am grateful for the process, because it led me to find another solution with which I am far better pleased. For some of my projects I am using Main WP. For other projects I am using iThemes Sync. Both work perfectly and inexpensively for my needs.

The website is back up and they are on a new server, this could be a turning point here, looks like they are now on a more professional server product, the website is a lot faster, will wait to hear feedback from those that purchased the product.

I think the biggest thing to me is communication, when you just ignore the people who "Trusted" you and you do not communicate, (it gets really bad fast, people assume the worst because that is usually what happens)

I see this kind of thing a lot and I ask myself a question how long does it take to write an email?

The progress is tangible but they have a number of issues to work out.

The interface needs work. It is still clumsy. Every time I go to the dashboard, all of the sites are polled, taking several minutes of wait time for the number of websites I have (over 50).

Update All Plugins really means Update All Plugins Listed On This Page (maximum of 10), which means that if there are many updates to be done, I have to click the Update All button repeatedly.

It still has problems detecting plugins that need to be updated. In fact, it detects very few instances of a plugin that needs to be updated.

And when it updates plugins, it times out on some of them. That is, the spinning icon remains spinning forever and the "Updated" message never shows up. This happens with some of them while others are updated quickly.

On the plus side, the Stats feature is now listed and the WP FastDash Add ons (Auto-content, FastDash Silos) are available.

So far, my impression is that WP FastDash can function as a secondary remote maintenance package but in head-to-head competition with the others, it is a distant second with regard to daily tasks.

When I go to the dashboard there are just spinning wheels. Nothing is working. The stats line is there but the stats are not working.

It's a mess. And, the lack of communication leaves me to believe this is not going to get any better.

You should have gotten an e-mail from Bill saying that all of the promised functionality is now installed:

In my experience, the menu items are there, but several of them do not work well. I tried to upload the auto content and silo plugins but that did not work. I went through the motions but after clicking the Install Plugin button and then checking the site, the plugin was not installed.

I'm wondering what Enhanced Stats have been installed because when I browse them I see no numbers.

I manually installed the silo and auto content plugins, activated them and tried to do something with them but they do not respond to any input.

I did not put my paypal address into my refund request, so the developer responded to me politely, asking for the address so that he could make the refund. He also said that most of the functions would be operational within 24 hours, but did not try to make me reconsider the refund request.

As the site was semi-operational again when I replied, I said to put the refund on hold for the time being.

So lets see how they go.

Your plugin update experience seems to be better than mine.

WP FastDash does not detect all of the plugins that need to be updated. I know this because my InfiniteWP tells me all the plugins that do need to be updated. What I have observed is that WP FastDash finds two or three instances at most while InfiniteWP finds all of them. That is what I am seeing right now.

So I click the Update All and half the updates finish and half do not. Those that do not finish spin endlessly. It seems like the update does go through because when I return to the dashboard, I am not prompted for the update and InfiniteWP tells me that I have less updates to do.

If you updated 300 plugin instances, did your Update All update all 300 or did you have to update 10 at a time? That is my experience. I have to click Update All, go to the next page, click Update All again and click to the next list of ten plugins. Very tedious.

By contrast, when I click Update All in InfiniteWP, Update All really does update all plugins with one click.

I have far less than 300 websites. Every time I go to the dashboard, it takes several minutes of watching the Rubik's cube spin before I see any information. I can't imagine the wait for 300 websites.

I just took another look at Infinite WP. The addons cost a small fortune to make it functional for anything except updating addons. That's a bit of a problem and probably the reason I went with WP Fast Dash and stayed in there even though they had server issues early on. Enough obvious progress has been made and in another two weeks the plugin will be pro. Then again, at that point they will be able to charge what the "free" dashboards cost, or a subscription fee per site.

I'm going to install infinite wp on a few of my websites and see how it goes. I could just use it to update plugins and use WP Fast Dash for everything else. Currently with WP Fast Dash, I can only update 10 website addons at a time and while it is tedious for 300+ websites, it is still a massive time saver. It would be a good solution to use Infinite WP for only that feature until WP Fast Dash changes the 10 websites at a time.

If you get the endless spinning icon, log out of the panel and log back in and update again. Out of 300 sites, I had 25 plugins (not entire sites) that failed. When I logged back in, all 25 were able to be updated.

It takes me 5-8 minutes to get logged in. Keep in mind here that this won't be a good estimate for others since I'm on a USB modem that throttles to 1mb, so basically a dial-up connection speed. I also run at least 15 Firefox tabs at a time, and even more when I'm programming.

If I were you, I would go with MainWP. I'm not recommending InfiniteWP because it requires a separate installation whereas MainWP integrates itself into WordPress. Both are considered self-hosted but InfiniteWP is not related to WordPress and MainWP is.

I installed InfiniteWP last year before I was aware of MainWP and I'm thinking of switching over to it when my licenses expire at the end of this year. I bought my licenses during a Black Friday special so I got the add-ons for 50% off.

I also tried installing two plugins with WP FastDash and neither of them installed. So I used InfiniteWP instead. InfiniteWP saved me a massive amount of time because I was able to install the WP FastDash plugin all at once, rather than one website at a time.

I don't think WP FastDash is bandwidth intensive. I have a fraction of the number of websites you have, less than a quarter, and it took 3mins and 30secs for the dashboard to update.

WP FastDash is still only picking up a fraction of the updates that need to be done.

I have been running it on Firefox but just tried it in Chrome and two of the ten failed. One spun and the other one came back as needing to be updated. This, after I clicked the Update All button.

I'll try MainWP in a few moments. I installed Infinite WP on five of my websites and am still not quite impressed with it yet.

When I manually went in to install Infinite WP on the five websites, I checked the plugins and all of them were updated from when I did it with WP Fast Dash.
I don't mind using two dashboard plugins until Fast Dash gets their server bugs out, especially if it saves me a bit of time.

I recommend that you install more than 10 websites into InfiniteWP or MainWP. That is a clear difference. With WP FastDash, you have to keep paging through the sets of 10.

Also, note that InfiniteWP does not poll all of the sites every time you go to the dashboard. The polling is on demand rather than automatic, which in my case, and surely your case, much more sensible. The only automatic polling InfiniteWP does is when you first login.

Finally, note that InfiniteWP gives you a real progress bar as it polls the sites - a running count and not a Rubik's cube so you have some idea of how far along the polling process, which takes several minutes, is.

I can install it on 10-20 websites without a problem. I also grabbed all three of the free MainWP plugins so I'll install them at the same time.

  Yes, I did get a refund, but not by requesting it through the customer support. I tried that many times (read my other posts in this thread) and eventually, I sent an email to the address listed in my PayPal receipt. Bill Guthrie replied to that email and issued my refund.

With MainWP, you can import a list of sites to be added.
I've only put about a dozen sites into it so far, and everything I've tried to do has worked well.
I'll purchase a few more $19.95 addons ( client reports, white label, etc) and see how those go.
I am very happy with this application.
It runs on my own server, and I can save backups to locations that are under my control, or directly to a client's dropbox, etc.

WP FastDash support has informed me that the Update All function that only updates ten plugin updates at a time is by design. No true "Update All" button exists.

Since there can be multiple updates per site, this is not ten sites per page but ten updates per page.

So that means that I have to click Update All and the Next button repeatedly. For someone who has hundreds of sites, that is a lot of clicking.

On InfiniteWP, I click Update All once and I'm done.

I am seeing the progress. The other solutions offered (and sold) on this thread are not effective for my particular needs. I have multiple hosting accounts for one and the features I need are costly add-ons in the others.
I have made mistakes in the past. I may be the only one here who has, but it's true none the less. With that said, I am inclined to believe that there was no attempt made to rip anyone off or bait and switch. I am inclined to belive that the help desk is probably overwhelmed all day everyday causing response to be slow and refunds the same. I started making money online answering the help desk for a popular internet marketer so I know how bad it can be. I also know that a#%hole attitudes get moved to the bottom of the "help" pile. As they should be in my opinion.

I also have to say that ones credibility goes down drastically when they bash a product and then put an affiliate link in the bottom of their post. Just my opinion.

As far as WPfastdash? I am using it more and more and it seems to be getting better and better. So I will hold out and see how it comes together.

Many thanks.. i bought this when it came out but not got round to setting it up..
i was searching for an update instruction video and came across some unhappy posts.. which made me wonder should i even bother trying it.. am i just going to waste my time..

After telling them that I wanted to cancel my refund request for now, and Bill Guthrie thanking me and assuring me that I was making the right decision, I woke up to a full refund in my Paypal account.
Looks like they didn't want me in the club :-)
Not to worry - I've bought all the extensions I needed for MainWP at a total cost of under $100, and they are working very well.

It's a good thing you have been away from this mess as we early adopters are on the bleeding edge. The best way to characterize the software so far is that it is firmly in the beta stage.

There are problems and then there are design issues.

Problems for me include the inability to determine which plugins need updating. My InfiniteWP software detects pretty much all of the plugins that need to be updated. As a test, I let WP FastDash do the updating.

It will detect 5 or 10, maybe 20 updates at most. So far, I've seen it only once do a mass update and it was the WP FastDash plugin, but not any other plugin. Note that updates mean every plugin that needs to be updated, not every site that has plugins that need to be updated. In other words, one site has several plugins, each one counting as an update.

Most of the time, several updates will spin forever, never returning a success status. The plugins do in fact update, but the interface never lets me know.

The Stats do not work nor is there any indication that the plugins work (Silo and Auto Content).

The design has significant awkwardness as compared to InfiniteWP.

The sites are listed in groups of ten, which means clicking through several groups. If you do something with a particular site and finish, you are taken back to the home page. So if you wanted to do something else with that site, you have to click your way back to it.

At my request, they modified the way Update All plugins worked. Previously, I had to click Update All for each set of ten updates. So if you had 100 updates, you would have click the Update All button ten times and click the Next button 9 times.

The modification was a drop down that displayed up to a 100 sites at a time, so that Update All could update all of the updates at once.

By contrast, I can update all plugins with one mouse click in InfiniteWP without repeated clicking. The list of websites scrolls down.

Another significant omission is the inability for WP FastDash to moderate comments, the bane of anyone who has a blog network. There is no way to moderate comments whatsoever. Apparently, it was not in the design specifications.

In InfiniteWP, I can deal with all comments from the administrator interface.

There is no way to tell WP FastDash to ignore a certain plugin update. So if there is one plugin update you do not want to do while the rest of the plugins you do want to update, you now have to click each update button individually.

InfiniteWP allows me to ignore a particular plugin update so that I can still click update all and leave one update alone.

I am not pushing InfiniteWP, it is just what I happen to have and the interface is much smoother. However, I think that MainWP has less expensive pricing so I plan to switch when my InfiniteWP add-ons expire.

The only mitigating factor that I can tell is that this was a one-time payment. I cannot see this product competing seriously with any of the other solutions out there at this point in time, especially with the monthly fee.

I have not seen any clear advantage WP FastDash has over my InfiniteWP installation so far in daily maintenance routines. I would like to ask the designers of WP FastDash why they think the way the WP FastDash dashboard has been designed is better than the dashboards of other products.

I bought WP FastDash for the stats feature and that has yet to work.

I asked specifically when the 30-day countdown would begin and was told that it was extended to 60 days, so I hang on and wait.

Hey All,

I purchased this on May 29th. So I'm just under 30 days. I didn't do anything with it until tonight (6/23).

I installed WP Fast Dash on 28 sites over the course of about an hour and a half. Mostly because I had to log in and out of LastPass to get my passwords.

There are definitely a couple bugs in the system. However, I found it to be very helpful. I was able to segregate my clients into different lists - so that I didn't update sites that I'm not paid to update. I was also able to update all of my personal and business sites.

Overall, I'm very impressed with it. Especially as it has some basic keyword tracking as well. For a one off price, I could be happier - but I've learned to roll with it.

I think there have been some very good points brought up in this thread regarding alternatives and what-if scenarios should the developers pull the plug (which happened with WP Pipeline that I bought a while back - they crashed all my sites by not updating and working with new PHP versions).

As for WSO's... I learned a long time ago that there is always a week or two of growing pains. Get in there a couple days before the refund period. Test the crap out of it. And only then make your decision.

I spent $177 on the plugin and upgrades. I think it was well worth it - though I'm going to seriously evaluate these alternatives and what I really anticipate gaining from this plugin. I really only want to track ranks and update themes, core files, and plugins - on a group by group basis.

Anyway, I recommend that you wait a couple weeks whenever you buy a WSO. It will save you a lot of time, frustration, and most importantly: life.

You can't get back what you lose in the "Pit of Despair".

WOW.

Okay, so after spending a couple more hours adding sites and whatnot. I almost wish I could delete my previous comment. (Well, I mean I can - but I think this is more authentic as everyone can read what I'm writing and the progression).

I just requested a refund on this plugin.

I greatly like some of the stuff that I've purchased from Bill in the past and I think I will like this in 60 to 90 days. That being said, I have 5 days left of my 30 day "no questions asked" refund period.

After reading through this thread and fully testing WP FastDash - I have decided to switch to MainWP. For 6 cents less than I spent with WP FastDash, I will have nearly the same functionality. And my testing thus far works.

Here are the issues I had with WP FastDash tonight:
1. Sites that are running most recent version of WP are showing that they are not running the most recent version. When trying to update, there is a pop-up message saying they are already updated - but the screen doesn't clear and so I have a constant to-do item.

2. The biggest and most glaring issue is that I could not install a plugin to any of the connected sites. I tried to install anti-spam by uploading it and also by using the WordPress Plugin link. In neither case did it work.

3. As mentioned by others, the plugin is out-of-date on many sites. When I try to update it doesn't update. OR if it does it doesn't re-activate (at this point, I decided that I didn't care and so I haven't checked which it is the root cause)

4. Even if the plugin updating had worked, there is no way to update it across a group of sites and/or all sites at one time.

5. Significantly inaccurate reporting on what plugins are out of date. It shows 1 but I have manually checked and there are at least 30 across 28 sites.

6. As mentioned previously, I used LastPass to install this. I had to copy and paste the passwords. 25% of the passwords "didn't take". I manually entered them and the WP FastDash application still showed them as not working. I manually attempted to login with the same credentials directly at the WP login screen and it did work. This issue exists within WP FastDash.

7. Sites randomly are "disconnected". I have 2 sites that are "disconnected". They are both up and operational - I can manually log into both of them. I cannot figure out what is going on and have given up at this point.

8. Very poor documentation.

9. As a "casual" web designer (I use that term very lightly) - I have 20 or so clients that I help. It would be great if activity was able to be captured and set to them in a report. This feature doesn't exist - and became a "necessary feature" when seeing it on MainWP. (I really like it!)

10. Stats reporting didn't work well and is poorly documented.

11. Premium "add-ons" that I purchased couldn't be installed to the site without directly and manually logging into each site and installing the plugins (silo/content). I decided not to do this after exhausting the options inside of WP FastDash.

12. Error codes whenever I tried to get a list of posts for a site.

13. Error codes whenever I tried to get a list of pages for a site.

14. Error codes when trying to create a post.

15. Error codes when trying to create a page.

I decided to go with Main WP as mentioned earlier.
The plugins I'm buying are:
1. URL Extractor

I will be missing a couple elements that FastDash "has" - but after playing around with both, I don't think I'll be sad. (Plus, there are other options that I can use to track ranks, etc. without breaking the bank.) One works, the other doesn't. At this point one provides far more capabilities than the other as well. I really like that. Anything that helps me get my job done faster and then look more professional (reports) without having to spend more time is awesome.

Sorry for nearly double posting - but I did want to shed additional light after spending a couple more hours with it.

I did not test backup and restore capabilities. I didn't want to accidentally screw up any of these sites. lol.

Wow. It sounds like WP FastDash is generating a number of referrals for MainWP.

It's too bad there has not been much communication from BWI Press regarding the progress of things. The last e-mail I received was June 11, almost two weeks ago. In it, it said that everything they promised was now inside WP FastDash, including Site Cloning, Backup & Restore, Enhanced Stats, Tutorials, All the updating, and content creation features.

The Stats section is very sparsely populated with data and while it may be in there, it is not working very well.

I find it very disappointing that Bill Guthrie has time to send out three e-mails about the release of Traffic Elixir but not communicate the status of WP FastDash in over two weeks.

Additionally, Traffic Elixir is a product of the infamous and notorious Precious Ngwu, a search of whom turns up a lot of bad feedback.

Looks like Internet marketing wonder Mr. Guthrie has moved on from FastDash to the next "amazing product".
If anyone is still hanging on hoping for a miraculous resurrection of FastDash, may I remind you that Paypal's refund period expires after 45 days.
If you wait for Mr. Guthrie's promised 60 days, Paypal won't do anything to help you get a refund and you'll be totally reliant on the promise of Mr. Guthrie to make good a refund.

P.S. I'm very happy with mainWP.
It just works. Does everything it promises to do, automatically and with a minimum of fuss.

I found this out today:

WP FastDash's plugin update detection code does not work properly when the websites are using the WordPress plugin W3 Total Cache. The workaround is to disable W3 Total Cache.

This explains why WP FastDash does not detect many plugin updates on my websites (usually less than a tenth) and when it does, more than half spin endlessly without returning a success response.

For me, the workaround is a non-option. If I had to choose between WP FastDash and W3 Total Cache, I would not hesitate to go with W3 Total Cache. It helps that my InfiniteWP installation has no such problem with W3 Total Cache.

I suspect MainWP and ManageWP do not have problems with the plugin either but hope that a user can confirm that.

You should create a ticket to confirm the 60-day return policy. Nothing has been put in public print and I have not heard from Bill Guthrie on the status of WP FastDash since June 11, almost four weeks ago.

Well, its almost 2 months since the WPFastDash launch.
Bill Guthrie is now heavily promoting another Wordpress plugin that promises to do wonderful things for your traffic..

Did WPFastdash ever deliver on the promised features and benefits?

I bought this too when it launched and I have experienced nothing but problems with it, plugins needing updates not being picked up, login errors to the sites, WP Fastdash repeatedly losing the login passwords to my sites, plugins not updating when I click on update - just too many problems to list. I stupidly believed Bill Guthrie's apologies and promises of getting it sorted, but there is ony now a week left of the 60 day money back guarantee and I am still exeriencing problems. I have lost track of the number of support tickets I have sent and their response is usually "I will be forwarding this to our developers"! Nothing gets resolved. I think Mr Guthrie has moved on to the next product and I doubt very much the numerous issues with WP Fastdash will get resolved. My patience has ran out - I am asking for a refund today. I've had enough!

Just an update to my earlier post. I sent a support ticket to WP Fastdash after experiencing more problems asking for a refund and explaining the numerous problems I had since I purchased the product. Within 2 hours they issued me with a full refund - no arguments or hassles. So at least they honour their refund policy. I so wanted this product to work because in theory it is a great product, user friendly and very useful features, but sadly it just wasn't ready to be sold. Who knows, if they do get it to work properly in future and it is offered again for sale, I may just give it another go.

  I got my refund back as I requested within the 60 days period. I feel they should allow anyone to refund even after the 60 days because we stayed hoping they will sort out everything (and they promised so), but they didn't. Yes, this is not good for they future reputation.

hm, i just tested it a little bit and for me it works at the moment.
Anyway im afraid that they wont invest more time in the plugin and a i need a wp managment tool for a lot of websites. This is why i want to quit as well.

One question - i cannot find a ticket system to ask for a refund?
