Internet Selling for Newbies

Hi,

Anyone have any comments on 'Internet Selling for Newbies" by Mike Filsiame and Omar Martin?

I'd appreciate any thoughts or comments on other programs by these two guys that you may have purchased in the past as well, just to get a feel for their stuff.

Thanks!

I was looking at this the other day. I'd defiantly like to hear some people's personal experience with this product.

I'm not sure if they still are or not however they were offering a free limited time training course at the InternetSellingForNewbies dot com site. That being said, if I were given the opportunity to take the training course for free, I would do so gladly, however I don't know that I would pay any given amount for this now that I've had a bit of experience with it all. There are some great points, topics and information enclosed however with careful reasearch, you could easily access this information by yourself, for free. Overall it was a nice compilation but I really don't feel like it was much more than what I have learned from the Googling I have done over the years. Just my 2¢!

Your name wouldn't be Omar, would it?

We should call this the 'product launch announcement forum'.

Actually that would surprise me. I know Omar and that wouldn't be his style.

As for the course, as stated above, you COULD learn all of it for free with Google. But you could say that about ANY subject, so it comes down to time for dollars.

This product is free plus S&H. There is a continuity OPTION - not forced. It is pre-checked on the order form, but you can uncheck it if you don't want the continuity.

As for the quality of the content...I have seen Omar in action. He's good. He trains sellers for a living.

        Mike

*Disclaimer...I am friends with Omar, but I have no stake in his product. I just know how good he is at what he does.

          Hey Mike,

That was really helpful, thank you.

I have ordered the CD-ROM, so I'll know soon enough, and at this point, because I'm so new at this, any information is good information if it comes from a quality source, which it sounds like the deal is with Mike and Omar.

Good to know the additional info about Omar as well, as this is the first time I have come across his name (and just to be clear....no, I am NOT Omar).

Anyhow, thanks everyone for your input. If anyone else has something to add, I'd really like to hear that, too.

          Thank again, Mike.

I have done the Mike Filasaime thing because someone I trusted said I should do it. I am probably still paying for it, but it was not for me. My inbox is bobmarded daily with upsells. Just my opinion, but I was very new, still am (6 months now) and new to this forum, but I would not do it again.

    Hi robinincarolina,

What was it that was 'not for you' with the Mike Filasaime thing? (What did you try of his?)

And yes, I get lots of email from his list as well.

    Thanks,

    Edward

Honestly I could not answer that, as I have let it fall by the wayside. I think I have a website and it basically promotes lots of clickbank and paydot products that are 4 affiliate marketers. Like Butterfly marketing, etc... Next you will start getting emails from Edwin Chia or something like that and then another and then another and they all say you have a limited time to purchase this get rich program etc....

The reason its not for me I guess is I prefer the more personal approach. To me this is like a business in a box and you are just selling the business in a box to someone else and its not really helping anyone. I prefer to do something where I can offer someone something that is of value to them on a personal level, hence you can tell by 2 of my signature links. My heart wasn't in it and until I found what my heart was into I made zero dollars. I don't make zero dollars anymore.

That is just my opinion and I am sure you can make money with it, but I was so new at the time, that it just confused me. Everyone is different which makes the world so great.

I will tell you this. It seems to me Mike is launching a new program constantly. He is making a killing and mostly off of newbies. Someone please correct me if I am wrong here, as I am still a newbie.

Hi,just my two cents. They are selling information so try to scrutinize everything because there are lots of garbage out there by so called gurus .

There is no such free stuff from an IMer. As long as he's building a list you know that he's gonna pitch something to you in the future, and my personal experience Mike Filsaime mails his list a lot.

    Hey,

I'd like to thank everyone again for all the good info.
Just so we're all on the same page, my question was about being new and if 'Internet Selling or Newbies' was a good legit product that would be helpful to a new person, and not just another get rich quick type thing, or business in a box.

Mike can email or broadcast me all he wants. It's my choice weather I'll read it or not, or even opt out. I have also found his products to be good quality and to outperform what he says they will do.

And yes, when I have a list that big, I'll probably be conducting my business (emailing) as much as my customers will take. It's the nature of the business (along with organic traffic, PPC etc.).

    Everyone have a great day!

I just recieved mine today in the mail. Also recieved the magazine.
I opted out of the continuity at the check out page as i wanted to see if the DVD had me making any sales in a short amount of time.
Now dont get me wrong,i know about the selling part,ect...I just want to make a little green to cover the expense of the continuity portion first. Before giving my CCARD number out.
    Anyway.There is a home page,video page,resourse page.And another 1 or 2 pages.
I cant watch any of the videos because im on a dial up connection and the DVD is one of those that just connects to the server.
You cant just play the DVD on the PC.
I tried to watch the first 2 videos,1 was 27 minutes long, the 2nd was 32 minutes or close.
It took 1 HR for me to wait so i could watch 11 seconds of both of them.
It was not disclosed on the sales page that the videos may not work with dial up.
I cant afford high speed right now.So ill keep the DVD as i did pay for it.Im sure its good and teaches.I can go to the library and watch it.Untill i make enough to afford high speed.
Anyway, thats all i can post for right now and be truthfull.

      Hi ebpglogal,

Good post - and some good questions here by fellow warriors. And for those of you that want to know - I am Omar Martin - not ebpglobal, I just caught this thread, as you can tell by my profile I only pop in the warrior once in a while and I typically just read what people are saying. But naturally I was compelled to put in a few words on this thread.

As for Internet Selling For Newbies - no its not a get rich quick scheme or a "business in a box". It is a 10 week coaching program designed by Mike Filsaime and myself. I've put my heart and soul into this project for over 8 months and in completion it rivals coaching programs currently being sold upwards of $2000.

So you're asking 2 questions now.... what makes it so good and why is it free? Those are both good questions and here are the answers...

#1 The course is laid out in 10 weekly modules that take you from registering a domain to creating membership sites and driving traffic to it. I made it as well rounded as possible and even included coaching on social networking and audio video media production. What makes this course unique is the training style... its not just a few camtasia videos. It's over 100 videos filmed in both Classroom Workshop style (like in college) and screen capture tutorials. Plus there are multiple guest instructors and study guides to follow along.

#2 Why is it free? Well there are 2 phases to this training that we could easily have launched as a stand alone coaching program for $1997.00 however. We decided to put the fundamental 11 videos on a CD-Rom and give it away to anyone that wants to pay for the shipping. This will put the coaching style infront of thousands more people and let them decide for themselves wther they like the way I teach and what we can share. The second phase is the 10 weekly modules and study guides- those are accessible in the members area and the price is a $147 one time fee with no recurring billing for lifetime access. You also get multiple bonuses including the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript (Audio Version) never before released. Plus get lifetime membership to the support forum and monthly live Q/A calls. C'mon now all that and no monthly price tag?

Someone mentioned that you can learn this all for free on google... you can... good luck with that. How long might that take you? I tried going that route and wasted 18 months of my life. And how will you know you're learning the right thing from a successful person. I am relatively new to the game, yes... I've grown very quickly in the past three years so I can understand your reservations about me, but I believe that Mike Filsaime's reputation precedes him and he would never get behind a flimsy product or partner up with an incapable person.

We've had thousands of purchases and minimal support issues. Unfortunately for pcpupil he is on a dial up connection - sorry dude, I insisted that the content on the CD-Rom be server based for a very important reason. Unlike the dvd's you pay top dollar for out there- we can actually update the content whenever we feel the need. The way internet marketing is growing now a days I'm sure you'd all agree that some of this iformation gets outdated in 15 minutes. By keeping the content on the servers, I can update videos all the time and just shoot the members an email that says - "there's new content on your CD-Rom, just pop it in" Now how cool is that?

At the end of the day, the decision is yours whether you want to be a skeptic and try to figure it all out on your own thinking that you'll end up making millions without having to invest a penny online. Or you can be a realist and follow in the footsteps of successful marketers that have already overcome the hurdles you're about to face. A wise man learns from his own mistakes but a brilliant man learns from the mistakes of others.

I wish that I had the ability to sample all the high ticket programs out there for just $9.97 in shipping - hell, if I could have done that I would have saved myself thousands of dollars in garbage... yet there will always be people that challenge the integrity and efficacy of a product regardless of its price point and how easy you make it for them to try it out first. Thats just life, and there will always be pecemistic people like that.

It's a good product. We stand behind it. We support our members and we'll help you get ahead online if thats what you are serious about doing.
Thats my 2 cents - and thats all I have to say about vietnam.

        Hey Omar,

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. It's exciting that you feel so passionate about your product!

Just so you know, I had already purchased both the CD-ROM and the membership before I posted, and am just (still) waiting to get the CD-ROM so I can get started.

Excellent idea regarding the updating of information on the CD-ROM via online access! I am looking forward to getting started asap!

Anyhow, thanks again for taking the time to let us all know what we have to look forward to with 'Internet Selling for Newbies'!

    • I also ordered this free + shipping course and opted out of the add-ons. I received only the free DVD, yet on my credit card statement I got last week was charged for BOTH add-ons. I have contacted Omar's Support Desk and been completely ignored. I contacted Mike Filsaime's and got it canceled so as to not be illegally charged again for something I did NOT order. They replied almost immediately, which was good, but could not do anything for me since the billing was from Omar's side of the partnership. It's been over a week now and I don't know what else to do. Does anyone have any advice for getting Omar's Help Desk to respond and fix this (besides contacting my attorney)? Clearly, I would prefer to resolve this peacefully. Make sure you check your credit card statement if you opted out of the add-ons!
